Adobe Acrobat: How to Use AI for Document Creation (2026)

Kevin Stratvert

0:00 If you still think Adobe Acrobat is just for touching

0:03 up and outputting the final versions of your documents,

0:05 it's time you took another look.

0:07 Adobe has ushered in a new era of Acrobat, which I think is one of the best

0:12 all-in-one workspace platforms for document creation.

0:14 You can convert and combine different file types into a single document.

0:19 You can brainstorm content ideas,

0:20 and you can create new documents from your existing files or from scratch.

0:25 Hi, I'm Garrick and in this video in partnership with Adobe,

0:28 we'll see how to use AI for document creation and look at some

0:32 examples of how to polish content and quickly generate brand new content.

0:36 I've signed into my account at acrobat.adobe.com and I'm going

0:39 to create a new PDF space by clicking create a PDF space.

0:43 It generates that new space for me and asks me to select my files.

0:48 I can select from recent files, files for my device,

0:52 files on the cloud, and so on.

0:54 I'll choose to select files.

0:56 And on my desktop, I have a folder

0:58 with all sorts of company onboarding materials.

1:00 There's a PDF employee handbook,

1:02 several Word documents with benefits info, workplace safety guidelines,

1:07 a PowerPoint presentation, and even a VTT file, which is a video transcript.

1:12 I'll select all of these and choose to open them.

1:16 And here I'll click add to PDF space.

1:19 And now Acrobat is analyzing all

1:21 of these different files and generating a summary.

1:23 and insights from all of these documents.

1:25 And this really is one of the best AI platforms for creating

1:29 and converting PDFs because it doesn't matter if you have Word docs,

1:33 PowerPoints, transcripts, or PDFs.

1:35 Everything gets combined into one intelligent creative workspace.

1:37 So you can see now it's created the summary of the documents and below that it's

1:42 also offering some suggestions on ways it can

1:45 use the files to help us like provide insights,

1:48 generate a presentation or create a podcast

1:51 from the information found in the documents.

1:53 So right off the bat there's a lot of things

1:56 we can do just by dragging files into a PDF space.

1:58 So let's take a look at a couple of examples

2:01 of how we can use our PDF space to create documents.

2:04 Let's say I want to generate a checklist for new

2:07 employees for their first week so they know what to expect.

2:10 I'll come down to the prompt area and I'll type create

2:14 a detailed first week checklist for new

2:16 employees based on the onboarding materials.

2:19 Include day-to-day tasks, what to expect, and who they'll meet.

2:23 And after just a few seconds, here's what we get.

2:28 Notice how it's organized by day

2:30 as we requested with specific tasks and expectations.

2:34 It includes everything from meet your onboarding buddy to completing

2:38 security orientation to scheduling a coffee chat with team members.

2:43 You'll also notice citations throughout your responses.

2:46 Rolling over a citation tells me which file this information was pulled from.

2:52 And clicking a citation opens the file

2:55 and highlights that exact location of the information.

2:58 At the bottom of the response, we have some buttons.

3:02 For instance, we could click the copy button to copy

3:05 the entire response and paste it into a word processor or email.

3:09 But we also have the ability to save this to notes here in my PDF space.

3:14 So now if I go over to the notes area,

3:17 there's the response and I can always refer

3:20 back to this first week checklist for new employees.

3:22 In fact, I'll change the title to first week checklist.

3:26 So AI assistant has done the heavy lifting of reading through

3:31 all of these documents and organizing the information into something useful.

3:34 And now I can copy that information and further refine it or edit it as needed.

3:39 And if you wanted to take this a step further, you can actually generate a full

3:44 onboarding presentation directly from these documents.

3:46 Just come over to the left sidebar of the PDF space and click presentations.

3:54 You can read through this information that tells you how to use the space.

4:01 But here I can just type a prompt.

4:04 Notice it's even offering suggestions as I type.

4:08 And I'll choose create an onboarding presentation for new hires at Pento.

4:14 Here I can choose a template and click generate presentation.

4:22 And here it is.

4:23 Acrobat has automatically built a full

4:25 presentation for us based on those documents.

4:27 So this really is one of the best ways to turn a stack

4:31 of source documents into a ready-to-share

4:33 presentation with no extra work required.

4:35 Of course, you will want to go through

4:38 each slide to check them and to edit them, but you can see that the majority

4:41 of the work here has now been completed for us.

4:44 Let's take a look at another example of how

4:47 to use AI for content creation in this PDF space.

4:50 One of the files we brought in was

4:52 this transcript file from a welcome video for new employees.

4:55 You can see its layout is not exactly

4:57 useful as a document that we want to share.

5:00 But I'd like to repurpose the info found here as well as relevant info

5:03 from the other documents into a welcome letter

5:06 that we can include in the onboarding packet.

5:08 But instead of writing everything by hand,

5:10 I'll just come down to the prompt area and ask

5:13 AI assistant to use the welcome video transcript file to draft

5:18 a warm personalized welcome letter from a hiring manager

5:21 to a new software engineer named Alex who is starting next Monday.

5:25 Include what to expect on day one, what they should bring,

5:31 and express excitement about them joining the team.

5:35 And there it is.

5:36 We have a personalized email with Alex's

5:38 name that starts with a warm introduction followed

5:41 by important details from the files in our PDF space such as meet your manager,

5:46 your onboarding buddy, equipment setup, and so on.

5:49 So, a hiring manager could now take

5:51 this, personalize it a bit more with specific project

5:54 details or team introductions and have a polished

5:56 welcome letter ready to send in a few minutes.

5:59 Again, they could add this to notes here in PDF spaces, or they could copy it.

6:04 Or if you wanted to go the extra mile, right here from the Acrobat homepage,

6:10 you have access to a full library

6:12 of professionally designed templates powered by Adobe Express.

6:15 These are some of the best professional

6:18 templates available for exactly this kind of document.

6:21 For example, I could search the templates for a professional letter,

6:25 find one that I like,

6:28 choose customize template, and then I could paste in the AI assistant response,

6:33 make a few edits, or even use AI assistant

6:37 in Adobe Express to tell it what I want to create.

6:40 And very quickly, you'll end up with a beautifully

6:43 polished on-brand welcome letter with no design skills required.

6:46 So AI assistant considered the text tone and purpose of this document

6:51 and automatically generated it so we have a great foundation for our final

6:55 product and we can polish it even more from some

6:57 of the best professional templates in Adobe Express all from the same place.

7:02 Now so far the examples we've been looking at have been for scenarios when we

7:05 know what we want to do with the information we've brought into our PDF space.

7:09 But oftentimes we may not have thought of or considered

7:12 other ways we can use our content to our advantage.

7:15 So rather than asking AI assistant to perform

7:17 a specific task with a specific goal,

7:19 try prompting it to offer you other ideas or perspectives.

7:22 For example, I'll try a prompt like,

7:25 "What are some creative or unexpected ways we

7:29 could repurpose all this onboarding content to add value?"

7:33 And now AI assistant has provided several ideas I

7:36 might not have come up with on my own.

7:38 For example, it's suggesting create a digital onboarding hub,

7:41 develop microlearning modules, gamify the onboarding process.

7:45 And it's not just offering ideas, it's telling me what to do,

7:50 and also the value that it adds.

7:53 So, in just a couple seconds, it's giving me 15 ideas I can consider.

7:57 So, if I like any of these ideas, for example, host a lunch and learn series,

8:01 I could then ask AI assistant to draft a schedule

8:04 for the event and the topics that should be covered.

8:07 So, this is another example of what makes

8:09 Acrobat Studio one of the best creative workspaces.

8:11 It doesn't just execute what you ask for, but it can also

8:15 help you discover possibilities you didn't even know existed in your content.

8:18 This is truly how to use AI to create a workspace that thinks alongside you.

8:24 For instance, you could create a PDF space loaded with market research,

8:28 competitor analysis, customer survey data, and so on.

8:31 And we've already seen that it

8:33 handles your many different file types seamlessly.

8:35 and then ask AI assistant to create a polished marketing plan by analyzing

8:39 your documents and providing insights that you

8:41 could then share with your team and leadership.

8:44 Or you could upload your current resume along with a job posting you're

8:48 interested in and ask the AI to suggest edits to your bullet points.

8:51 You could even generate a tailored cover letter as a starting

8:54 point and then refine it with your own voice before sending.

8:58 And once your content is ready,

9:00 Acrobat Studio makes it easy to put a professional finish on it.

9:04 Use Stylize PDF to update the colors, fonts, and layout of your existing resume,

9:09 or start fresh with a professionally designed template

9:11 from the template gallery powered by Adobe Express.

9:14 Either way, you walk away with a polished,

9:17 ready-to-use application package, all without ever leaving Studio.

9:20 So, as you can see, Acrobat Studio isn't

9:23 just for reviewing and editing final PDFs anymore.

9:26 It's become one of the best AI powered

9:28 productivity tools and creative workspaces for creating new content.

9:33 With PDF spaces, AI assistant,

9:35 and templates for documents powered by Adobe Express,

9:38 you can bring together all your source materials and create polished,

9:42 professional documents in what feels like unlimited ways.

9:46 So, now you know how to use AI

9:48 with productivity tools that transforms your entire document creation process.
