Trump GOES CRAZY After Pope Has LAST LAUGH!!

0:01 has reignited his one-sided war with the Pope,

0:05 sparring with him once more in public.

0:08 And I've said consistently on the show,

0:10 and this is coming from someone who's not religious,

0:12 that if you're attacking the Pope and calling him

0:15 a bad guy and saying that he's destroying the world,

0:18 you're probably not on the right side of the issue.

0:20 I mean, we're talking about Pope Leo here,

0:23 who is consistently calling for peace and peace

0:26 worldwide and advocates for this on a daily basis.

0:28 And yet, Donald Trump thinks that he's the bad guy.

0:31 So, it's just a very strange,

0:33 very one-sided war that Donald Trump is somehow losing.

0:37 I You know, it's remarkable.

0:38 But, he has reignited this battle with the Pope

0:40 with these bonkers new comments that he made in a new interview.

0:44 Now, before we get into the story, there actually has been some update

0:48 on America's relationship with the Pope and something

0:51 that the Pope did regarding the United States that I want to first talk about.

0:54 And let's just start here regarding the relationship

0:57 with not only the Vatican and the United States,

1:00 Donald Trump's relationship with J.D.

1:02 Vance.

1:02 He has lost out to Rubio in this major diplomatic snub.

1:07 Catholic convert J.D.

1:08 Vance appears to have missed a shot

1:10 at a reunion with Pope Leo with his friend-of-me,

1:13 Marco Rubio, tapped for the honor instead,

1:15 which is interesting that Donald Trump

1:17 is not sending his Catholic vice president,

1:19 but is rather sending his secretary of state.

1:22 And this might give us some insight as to who Donald Trump is

1:25 more interested in supporting in 2028 if he decides to leave office because,

1:29 you know, he always flirts with the idea of running again.

1:33 A Vatican source told Reuters that the secretary of state is

1:36 expected to travel to Italy and meet with the pontiff on Thursday.

1:40 This marks almost a year since Rubio

1:41 and Vance met Pope Leo together on May 19th,

1:44 2025, with the Illinois-born Pope has so

1:48 far declined Vance's invitation to the White House.

1:51 Interesting.

1:52 But, this was around a year ago that this image was first taken.

1:56 And since then, the Pope doesn't seem interested in reuniting with J.D.

2:00 Vance and meeting with him again.

2:01 White Sox Pope Leo, born Robert Francis Provost in the South Side of Chicago,

2:05 has had a strained relationship with the homeland since ascending to the papacy.

2:09 While Leo has made many veiled comments about tyrants and warmongers,

2:13 Donald Trump threw down the gauntlet last month

2:15 with this unhinged 334-word Truth Social post claiming

2:20 that he wouldn't be in the Vatican without

2:22 him and that he's hurting the Catholic Church.

2:24 And Vance himself took a swipe at the Pope

2:26 while at a Turning Point USA event in Georgia,

2:29 Georgia, suggesting of God's voice on Earth.

2:31 Quote, "I think it's very, very important for the Pope to be careful

2:34 when he talks about matters of theology." J.D.

2:37 Vance telling the Pope on how to do his job, which is just a remarkable scene.

2:42 You know, the arrogance and the narcissism

2:44 of this administration is unmatched around the world,

2:47 at least in, you know, modern democracies.

2:49 But, as I mentioned, Pope Leo recently did something in the United

2:53 States that certainly angered Donald Trump, J.D.

2:56 Vance, and the MAGA base.

2:57 And that is elevating a formerly

3:00 undocumented immigrant to lead West Virginia Catholics.

3:06 I mean, that headline right there is

3:08 enough to send Donald Trump's head spinning.

3:11 An undocumented immigrant, formerly undocumented immigrant,

3:14 leading Catholics in an American state.

3:17 Pope Leo on Friday announced the promotions of a bishop

3:20 and a priest who have spoken out against Donald Trump as well.

3:24 So, throw that in the mix, makes it even worse for Trump.

3:27 Specifically, his policies on immigration and racial equity,

3:30 showcasing the gap between the Vatican's agenda and the president's.

3:34 Bishop Eusebio Menhevar Ayala, who's 55,

3:38 was smuggled into the United States in a car trunk and has

3:41 publicly called for Catholics to speak

3:42 out against Donald Trump's treatment of immigrants.

3:44 The Reverend Robert Boxie III, 46,

3:47 who has been a chaplain at Harvard University,

3:48 becomes the country's youngest bishop.

3:50 The Harvard Law School graduate has called attacks on diversity un-American

3:54 and un-Christian and expressed concern about

3:57 the Trump administration's effort to eliminate diversity,

4:00 equity, and inclusion program, saying, quote, "It's really frustrating,

4:03 especially this moment that we're living in.

4:05 The attacks on DEI, I don't even know what that means anymore.

4:08 It's a term that's been hijacked.

4:09 It means a lot of things to a lot

4:11 of different people." He told the Catholic News Agency OSV.

4:14 "We are a diverse nation with people from all over the world.

4:17 Diversity is a good thing.

4:19 Diversity is of God." So, you know,

4:22 whether Pope Leo is doing this in a direct shot to Donald Trump,

4:25 I imagine that he's not.

4:27 But, it just comes with, you know, these uh bishops being very critical of Trump

4:32 and even one being an undocumented immigrant,

4:34 which as I mentioned, is enough to drive MAGA crazy.

4:37 So, now let's look at these new comments

4:39 that Donald Trump has made about the Pope.

4:41 Given everything we just went over,

4:42 the recent beef they've had, it gets even crazier.

4:46 So, Donald Trump kicked off his clash with Pope Leo

4:48 just days before this meeting with Marco Rubio and the Pope.

4:51 He has repeatedly taken aim at him

4:53 since launching strikes against Iran on February 28th.

4:57 And he is infuriated.

4:58 He's been infuriated at Leo's calls for peace and an end to the conflict.

5:01 Pope Leo has not shied away from hitting back in his own way,

5:04 bemoaning the fact that the world is, quote, "being ravaged by a handful

5:08 of tyrants" without naming any particular figure,

5:10 but we know who he's talking about.

5:12 Also important to note that Pope Leo,

5:14 at least in the United States, has been a registered Republican.

5:17 I believe he voted in previous elections,

5:19 has not voted recently, but a registered Republican.

5:22 So, this is not like a crazy liberal who's Pope.

5:25 This is a guy who's, at least according to his registration,

5:27 a Republican, and Donald Trump is calling him like this insane guy.

5:31 "Incensed by the Catholic's leader's repeated calls for peace,

5:35 Trump lashed out during a Monday interview with Hugh

5:37 Hewitt on the Salem News Channel." Hewitt discussing jailed

5:40 Hong Kong media tycoon and pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai

5:44 ahead of Trump's visit to China later this month,

5:46 criticized the Pope for not highlighting Lai's plight.

5:49 Lai was jailed for 20 years over claims that he

5:51 colluded with foreign forces and conspired to commit sedition.

5:54 Quote, Hugh Hewitt said, "I wish Pope Leo would talk about Jimmy Lai.

5:58 You've talked about Jimmy Lai with the chairman, that's uh Xi Jinping.

6:01 Will you be bringing him up again?" After

6:03 Trump said he would bring up Lai in discussions, which he definitely won't,

6:06 Hewitt exclaimed once more that he wished the Pope would talk about him.

6:09 "Well, the Pope would rather talk about the fact

6:11 that it's okay for Iran to have a nuclear weapon,

6:13 and I don't think that's very good," Trump replied.

6:16 "I think he's endangering a lot of Catholics and a lot of people.

6:19 But, I guess if it's up to the Pope,

6:21 he thinks it's just fine for Iran to have a nuclear weapon." Now,

6:24 as you can imagine, the Pope has said nothing of the sorts.

6:28 Not even close.

6:29 All the Pope has called for is peace and diplomatic

6:31 solutions to beef that different countries have with each other.

6:35 But, of course, Donald Trump has to make it something that it's not.

6:38 And I just always find it absolutely remarkable

6:41 that Donald Trump finds the confidence in his very shallow,

6:44 empty body and brain to go against the Pope on matters of religion.

6:48 I mean, we are talking about Donald Trump,

6:51 who is not exactly a scholar in theocracies

6:54 and religious texts and things like that.

6:57 Remember that clip of him being asked,

6:58 "What's your favorite Bible verse?" Or think about his conduct,

7:01 cheating on all of his wives.

7:02 This is not exactly a religious man who is trying to lecture

7:06 the Pope about being religious and being I just I can't even.

7:11 The Pope has previously declined to comment on Lai's case, instead saying,

7:14 "We must pray for peace, work for peace, and reduce hatred.

7:17 Hatred is constantly increasing in the world.

7:19 We must seek to promote dialogue and find solutions." And his comments on Lai's

7:23 case are similar to his repeated calls for peace in the Middle East.

7:26 This is a pretty consistent view that he has.

7:28 "Dear brothers and sisters, there are certainly binding responsibilities

7:31 that fall to the leaders of nations.

7:33 To them we cry out, 'Stop.

7:34 It's time for peace at the table of dialogue and mediation,

7:37 not at the table where rearmament is planned and deadly

7:40 actions are decided.'" The Pope told some 10,000 Catholics.

7:44 Donald Trump's assertion that Pope Leo supports Iran's nuclear program,

7:47 the Pope has in fact specifically called for a world free from nuclear threat.

7:51 But, Donald Trump doesn't care about the truth.

7:53 He just, you know, rambles incoherently all the time.

7:56 And of course, these these comments just come days before Rubio is set to meet

8:00 with the Pope in Rome in an attempt

8:02 to improve relations between the administration and the Vatican.

8:08 [sighs and gasps] Donald Trump always finding a way to ruin good things.

8:10 You mean, you know, previously,

8:11 the United States has had a good relationship with the Vatican,

8:14 a good relationship with the Pope, you know,

8:16 specifically under President Biden, who is actually a religious man.

8:19 Under Donald Trump, not so much.

8:21 He attacks the Pope.

8:22 Actually, uh this is the one of the posts,

8:24 the most one of the most recent he put out about Pope Leo,

8:27 saying that he's weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy.

8:31 Um he talks about fear of the Trump admin,

8:33 but doesn't mention the fear that the Catholic

8:35 Church and all other Christian organizations had during COVID.

8:38 He said he also likes his brother Louis much

8:40 better than him because apparently Louis is all MAGA,

8:43 he gets it, and Leo doesn't.

8:45 "I don't want a Pope who thinks it's okay

8:46 for Iran to have a nuclear weapon." And then,

8:49 he just continues to talk about the Pope and attacking him.

8:52 He said Leo should get his act together.

8:54 Uh Leo should get his act together, not Donald Trump.

8:56 Leo, you know, okay, sure.

8:58 But, yeah, this beef continues.

9:00 Donald Trump has reignited it.

9:01 And as I mentioned, it really is just

9:03 a one-sided war that Donald Trump is somehow losing.
