0:37 diggers to transform the CrunchLab's warehouse

0:42 not two, but three epic arenas for these cars to do battle.

5:04 and a few Mario Kart speed boosts.

5:07 The first car to finish the course gets fireworks,

5:10 while the last gets, well, we covered that already.

5:13 Alright, the cars are itching to start.

5:51 Before crashing into a giant heap that somehow only Squirt escaped.

5:56 Metal puppy soon got away to battle Squirt for the lead, who as it turns out,

6:00 is one surprisingly speedy little lemon, with subpar navigational skills.

6:04 While Bob and I help rescue the others,

6:07 There were some early signs of a rivalry between Park the pig and Love Bug,

6:11 but it's time to see how the cars would handle the first mud trap.

6:14 Unlike most dogs, metal puppies seemed to hate

6:16 mud and went flying straight off the track.

6:19 Oh no, no!

6:20 Meanwhile, Lemon decided this was the perfect time for a relaxing mud bath.

6:27 Before ruthlessly blocking Yee-haw and making it over the mud pit unscathed.

6:32 And as Bob got to work rescuing the front runners,

6:34 Metal Puppy decided it was time to reveal its secret ability.

6:38 It has a combat robotic grade motor on it

6:40 and the tip speed of the finger is 18 MPH.

6:43 Which means that metal puppy never stays down for long.

6:48 And as Metal puppy righted itself.

6:50 Oh my gosh, the lemon car.

6:52 Squirt took a commanding lead by making a mad dash across

6:54 the BB floor that I'm pretty sure he learned from me.

7:02 Leaving Metal puppy to spit out on the BBs

7:05 as Yee-haw went past without even a howdy.

7:07 Yo, Steve, OK, let's go.

7:09 Meanwhile, at the back of the field,

7:11 Love Bug and Park the pig, were having some stability issues.

7:14 That was not the optimal design.

7:15 And while Wedgie decided to taste test the mud.

7:18 No!

7:19 We're so muddy.

7:20 Love Bug clearly didn't want to miss out on the fun,

7:22 and while Park the Pig was in last place,

7:24 it was surprisingly the only car to make it completely over the mud pit, barely.

7:30 Squirt was enjoying leading the pack, but it was short-lived as they hit the 2nd

7:34 mud pit with the exact same results as the 1st.

7:39 Giving Yee-haw the opportunity to hit the boost pads

7:41 and make an epic leap over the muddy lemon.

7:44 You're killing it, dude.

7:45 Unfortunately, they also went out of bounds, so they had to start over,

7:48 but Squirt was so stuck it could do nothing but watch

7:52 as Metal Puppy pulled the exact same move and nailed the landing.

7:57 As I went to rescue Squirt, Wedgie tried the questionable strategy.

8:02 I'm trying to take out the person who signs their paychecks.

8:05 I swear I wasn't trying to kill you.

8:07 Which unfortunately for them, put me in a mood to use my secret weapon,

8:10 these insanely over-engineered pneumatic launching doors,

8:13 which I could trigger remotely.

8:15 And while Park the pig was making an epic comeback.

8:20 Hey pig thing.

8:21 They were unfortunately an easy first target.

8:24 So to be fair, I also got squirt.

8:28 And wedgie.

8:31 And the park again.

8:35 Yeah!

8:36 I was having so much fun launching cars,

8:38 I almost didn't notice Metal puppy winning the whole thing.

8:41 But the fireworks and victory dance made it pretty obvious.

8:45 Next up was Squirt, who surprised everybody by coming in 2nd.

8:51 And Yeeha had caught up enough to get 3rd.

8:57 It went through the finish.

8:58 And once Wedgie was satisfied the ground was level,

9:01 it crossed the finish line for 4th.

9:03 Leaving our two cutest competitors, Park the Pig and Love Bug,

9:07 to battle each other for survival.

9:10 In an epic dash to the finish line.

10:06 because the cars are trying to score on their own color-coded goal.

10:10 The last two cars to knock the ball into their own goal would be eliminated.

10:13 Plus, it turned out Love Bug had

10:16 a secret ability specifically designed for this challenge.

13:55 The round started off with an epic RC sumo wrestling match that quickly

14:06 causing Metal Puppy to drive right off the platform.

14:10 While Squirt found out that Love Bug

14:16 And with a ten second timer counting down for both Squirt and Metal Puppy,

14:19 they quickly dashed to the ramp of redemption, where lucky for them,

14:22 just touching the platform was enough to reset the counter.

14:25 From here, it was pretty much chaos.

14:29 As Metal Puppy and Squirt tried over and over

14:32 and over again to get back up on the platform,

14:35 leaving Love Bug to have a nice relaxing chill sesh,

14:38 barely having to use his immense inertia to swat

14:41 away ghost cars like they were mere apparitions.

14:44 It's too heavy, it's too heavy.

14:46 Until finally, a persistent little squirt built up some speed

14:49 and landed a mega hit to knock the king off the hill.

14:54 But Squirt's reign was short-lived as a treacherous

14:57 ghost car brought about its demise.

15:01 And with Metal Puppy having just too much speed for its own good,

15:04 Love Bug was able to quickly retake its place as the king of the hill.

15:09 Remembering all the jokes we made about it at the start.

15:14 Squirt was determined to prove us all wrong and make it back to the platform,

15:18 ready for an epic showdown with Love Bug,

15:20 until Metal Puppy showed up and marked its territory.

15:25 Giving Squirt just 10 seconds to save itself from becoming fiberglass confetti.

15:34 And as the time ticked down, I felt really bad for Squirt until I remembered

15:37 that it'd sprayed me in the face with lemon juice, like four different times.

17:34 but little did we know that Love Bug was about

17:36 to do something that would make Metal Puppy absolutely flip out.

17:40 And that thing was loose, which did indeed make metal puppy flip out.

17:46 In celebration of their much deserved win.

17:50 Now of course, all the toy engineers who lost today were a little disappointed,

17:53 but they know failure is part of the engineering design process,

17:57 which means they've now learned something to come

17:59 back with an even better design next time.
