NBA Players Are Scared to 1v1 This YouTuber...

Digital Social Hour Podcast by Sean Kelly

0:00 A lot of those NBA guys, a lot of those pro guys,

0:02 they need to like hop on the court.

0:03 They're scared.

0:04 There's some guys that like have just coincidentally been

0:06 at a run when I'm playing and I'm like,

0:08 "Let's run the ones." And they're they're too scared.

0:10 Isaiah Thomas isn't in the NBA anymore, is he?

0:12 No, he's not.

0:13 So why didn't he play?

0:14 But I'll play WBY.

0:15 I'll play like Luca.

0:16 I'll play I'll play anybody.

0:18 I stayed in the favlla.

0:19 I was living in a pacified FLLA since the police were there.

0:22 I go into the alleyway to my crib and there's guns.

0:24 I got to pass by guys with guns.

0:26 I was walking through an alleyway.

0:27 I fell the AK-47 tip just touched my

0:30 I see people hating that you don't post the losses too in the comments.

0:33 There's not there's not any losses to post Sean.

0:41 All right, guys.

0:42 Got MK back on the show.

0:43 It's been like almost two years, right?

0:45 Yeah.

0:45 This is like tradition now.

0:46 Every time I'm in Vegas, we I try to get you every time you're here, man.

0:50 Take him in for a chat.

0:51 And you've been blowing up.

0:52 My god, bro.

0:53 I've been going crazy a little bit since our last episode.

0:55 Like, yeah, actually, yeah.

0:57 Not a little bit, like crazy.

0:58 The craziest blow up.

1:00 You just switched to one-on- ones, I think, when you came on the first time.

1:02 And gone like, bro, like two billion views a month.

1:06 Holy crap.

1:07 Uh, on across all platforms, uh, traveling the world, lots of insane collabs.

1:13 Um, so I'm happy.

1:14 Like, that's why I wanted to like just touch

1:15 base with you because our conversations are always really good.

1:18 It doesn't feel like a pod.

1:19 It just goes on forever.

1:20 That's what I try to do, man.

1:21 But two bills nuts.

1:22 That's what Clvicular is getting.

1:23 Yeah.

1:23 So, you're pretty much top dog.

1:25 Clav, we got to go.

1:26 I was just saying this.

1:27 We just did impulsive and I was saying,

1:29 wouldn't it be the sickest idea if Clav cuz he just opened his nightclub, right?

1:34 Yeah.

1:33 You know how he said he likes to like stand above and watch the girls?

1:36 Imagine like gladiator setting.

1:38 He's like standing above.

1:39 He opens up a space and I'm just playing ones in his club.

1:42 That would be pretty gass.

1:43 Yeah.

1:43 Like gladiator type.

1:44 I think clubs are going to have to start doing

1:46 something new cuz people aren't drinking like they used to.

1:48 No, it's boring.

1:49 You know, it's a little bit boring.

1:50 It's the same thing.

1:50 Like I've been going around the world obviously and part

1:53 of it is like partying like checking out the clubs,

1:55 checking out the night scene and it's like yeah I

1:58 like it but it's just the same thing every time.

2:00 You got to spice it up and that's something that we've done is

2:02 like we'll actually we've actually done that idea play ones in the club.

2:05 Everyone[ __] loved it.

2:07 So just like adding new twists on everything is important.

2:10 I think

2:10 that's dope.

2:10 Yeah.

2:11 I'm sure people are trying to copy your format now.

2:12 Right.

2:13 I encourage it.

2:14 You do?

2:14 A lot of people like K Showtime I basically like gave him the formula.

2:18 I told him I met with him.

2:19 I was like, "Yo, like run up the ones.

2:21 Go up to five."

2:23 Um, you don't care.

2:24 No, I told them, bro.

2:25 I said, "Go up to five.

2:26 Go to Asia or something like that.

2:28 Play as many games as you can.

2:30 Upload once a day.

2:30 Do exactly what I'm doing.

2:32 You're going to blow up." Guess what happened?

2:33 You went from like 200k to like 450K on IG in like a few months.

2:38 Um, guys in London are doing it.

2:40 Guys in Toronto are doing it everywhere around the world.

2:42 I encourage that.

2:44 My goal is to basically be that like

2:45 governing body of one-on-one to where it's like,

2:48 you know, anyone can just flourish in that market.

2:50 It's just it's a one v one market.

2:52 It's owned by by everybody, but like the idea, the concept, that IP is is mine.

2:57 Yeah.

2:57 And you want to centralize it eventually into one league.

3:00 Govern it, centralize it, all of it.

3:02 And it will be a league where we're

3:03 working on it right now with some massive partners.

3:05 I can't speak on those partners right now, but within the next,

3:08 I'd say year or less, we're going to have something like like that.

3:11 kind of like FIA.

3:12 We're working towards like a FIA level.

3:13 Yeah.

3:14 Yeah.

3:14 You know how they did threeon three, now it's in the Olympics.

3:16 Why the[ __] isn't one-on-one not?

3:18 Dude, that'd be fire.

3:19 And we've proved it now.

3:20 Like I've proved it and now it's like

3:22 we're developing an ecosystem that's proving it as well, bro.

3:25 If you get one-on-one in the Olympics, that's your your goat at that point.

3:28 No, if it will.

3:29 That's incredible.

3:30 Yeah.

3:30 Threeon three is fun to watch, but something with ones.

3:32 People just love ones.

3:33 No, I'm going to keep it a buck.

3:34 3v3 I like it.

3:36 It's cool.

3:37 5v5 right now it's boring.

3:39 one-on-one is exactly where it's at.

3:41 People just don't know how to like make it big and I

3:45 do and that's exactly what I'm passing on to the world.

3:47 I feel you really think NBA is boring right now though like five on five format.

3:50 The only like exciting thing in 5v5 is when there's

3:53 like beef or like tea time like when someone gets

3:56 a fine or when there's like you know arguing or or highlights

4:00 like people are really going on to watch the highlights.

4:02 I can't watch a full game.

4:03 I've me I've been to a lot of games this year, courtside suites,

4:09 and I'm not going to lie, like I swear to God, I have picture proof.

4:11 I fall asleep.

4:12 No way.

4:13 No, like I don't wear these glasses.

4:14 These I wear the other Meta the the Meta Oakley

4:18 glasses that are like blacked out and I'm just like this.

4:21 I just fall asleep.

4:22 I swear to God.

4:23 That's wild.

4:24 It's boring.

4:24 Fourth quarter, I'm lit.

4:26 But, you know, not waiting that long.

4:27 I mean, you're grinding though.

4:28 You're traveling to new a new city every week, I feel like.

4:30 But still, it doesn't negate the fact that it's boring.

4:33 I don't watch full games anymore.

4:35 I watch only highlights and even highlights 2x speed on YouTube.

4:39 Really?

4:40 Yeah.

4:39 So, you have a short attention span.

4:41 Very short.

4:41 But like with the ones and you can be honest with my ones for instance,

4:45 like will you watch the entire clip?

4:47 Yeah.

4:47 That's the thing.

4:48 That's the difference.

4:48 It's like a 3 minute max 3 minute but 1 to 3 minute game.

4:52 Everyone's just tapped in.

4:53 That's the biggest compliment I get on the streets is like,

4:56 "Yo, MK, you're changing the game.

4:58 I actually watch your videos from start to finish." M

5:00 and obviously that's why the platforms are pushing it,

5:02 but it's also like it feels really good cuz it's

5:04 like that means it's entertaining as[ __] So much shit's happening.

5:08 Well, the algorithms are based on watch time.

5:10 So you're clearly dominating that

5:12 and we have to cut down those videos.

5:14 So my dad is the one that edits and he'll go

5:16 like it'll be like a 40minute game sometimes or 20 minute game,

5:19 10-minute game and he has to condense it to 1 to 3 minutes.

5:22 Can you imagine?

5:23 And that's what we're doing now with the long form.

5:25 We're putting out a lot of like my entire

5:27 games and people are loving that too which is interesting.

5:30 Wow.

5:30 So he's got a good eye to like know what to cut out and keep.

5:33 Absolutely.

5:33 You have to.

5:34 But what I'm saying is even in the long form videos

5:36 when it includes the entire game there's so much[ __] happening every

5:39 second from the crowd from a a father in the bag

5:43 from security or whoever that every moment is lit in the ones.

5:48 There's no dull moment.

5:49 I notice you keep it different every video.

5:51 Honestly,

5:52 it is different every video.

5:53 It's a different character.

5:54 It's a different environment.

5:55 Maybe I[ __] didn't sleep that day.

5:57 Maybe I'm like feeling great.

5:59 And that's the beauty of it.

6:00 Every video is different.

6:01 It's reality TV at its at its realest.

6:04 Yeah.

6:04 You feel me?

6:05 I feel like you've also embraced that kind of villain role, too.

6:08 I've uh I play I just feed off the energy, whatever energy is given.

6:11 But I've noticed like to the to your point about the villain role,

6:15 I'm just like I just don't give a[ __] anymore.

6:17 I'm just I'm just me.

6:19 Before I was like really calculated like how is this going to work?

6:22 like how is this going to happen now?

6:23 I just don't care.

6:24 I'm going there to have fun.

6:25 And when I have fun, lots of[ __] is talked.

6:28 I'm I'm playing how I want to play.

6:30 I don't care.

6:31 And that's what people love most.

6:32 That nonchalant[ __]

6:34 that it's working, bro.

6:34 98 win%.

6:36 That's f Yeah.

6:36 Let's go to be nice.

6:38 It's not 96.

6:39 Last year was 96.

6:40 Right now it's 98.

6:41 That's insane.

6:42 And now that I'm injured a little bit, um Yeah.

6:44 No, I'm good.

6:45 I'm going to keep the 98 for a while.

6:46 Yeah, we'll dive into that.

6:47 But I mean, you're playing some decent people, too.

6:49 I'm playing anybody.

6:50 And that's like the thing that I love most.

6:53 People would think I hate it is when people are like, "Oh, you don't play comp.

6:56 You don't play comp." I play against everybody.

6:58 I play against females.

7:00 I play against young prospects.

7:02 I'll play against pros.

7:03 I'll play against uncles, dads, grandpas.

7:05 I don't give a[ __] cuz people love watching it.

7:08 It's It's an amazing amazing thing when a grandpa can get buckets on me.

7:13 Like that's awesome.

7:14 That's show that's bringing out real basketball.

7:16 Everybody's welcome.

7:16 It's inclusive.

7:17 So that's what I do love.

7:18 But I'd also say that A lot of those NBA guys,

7:22 a lot of those pro guys like they need to[ __] like hop on the court.

7:25 They're scared.

7:26 Have any of them played you yet?

7:28 No, they're scared.

7:30 Really?

7:29 I played some pro guys like in different leagues, right?

7:32 Yeah, international for sure.

7:33 They love it.

7:34 That's why I love them.

7:34 But like when it comes to like leaguers and I have nothing wrong with the NBA.

7:38 I love those guys.

7:39 A lot of guys are my friends in the NBA,

7:41 but it's like in the offseason, let's run it.

7:43 Yeah.

7:43 Summer league.

7:44 Let's set some up for you.

7:45 You feel me?

7:45 Let's do it

7:45 in Vegas.

7:46 Absolutely.

7:47 back.

7:47 I know a lot of my boys that are in the NBA, they would play.

7:50 Um, and that's why I won't like ever mention them or call them out,

7:53 but there's some guys that like have just coincidentally

7:56 been at a run when I'm playing and I'm like, "Let's run the ones." Yeah.

7:59 And they're they're too scared.

8:01 I wonder if it's like they don't want to get injured or risk it.

8:03 Isaiah Thomas isn't in the NBA anymore, is he?

8:05 No, he's not.

8:06 So, why didn't he play?

8:07 I saw that and he commented back.

8:10 Oh, he commented a lot.

8:10 He was mad as[ __] Yeah, he said you were being fake and[ __] I saw that.

8:13 I'm being real, brother.

8:14 I walked in.

8:15 I Sorry.

8:15 I I was there playing.

8:17 He walked in.

8:18 He was like, "I didn't come for you.

8:20 I didn't come to watch you play." Okay.

8:22 But regardless, you were still at the court.

8:24 You saw a massive crowd that I pulled.

8:26 Everyone begged you to play.

8:28 I said, "Let's play." He's like, "I don't have my shoes." Bro,

8:31 I've played bare feet in Costa Rica before.

8:33 You don't need[ __] shoes.

8:34 I'll give you my shoes.

8:35 And he still didn't play.

8:36 That's wild.

8:37 It's corny.

8:37 And he's like, "Oh, that's not for the culture.

8:39 You just want to get views on your YouTube or whatever." It's like, bro,

8:43 I'm already getting the views.

8:44 I don't give a[ __] about you.

8:45 Like we can turn all the cameras off for the culture, you idiot.

8:48 Everyone's going to be filming anyways.

8:50 Like, you know what I mean?

8:51 Like, how dumb are you?

8:52 It's for the culture.

8:53 You're not even in the league anymore.

8:54 Play the game.

8:54 Have fun with it.

8:56 Let's enjoy one-on-one together.

8:57 That's what basketball is.

8:59 And people are like, that's the ego part.

9:01 It doesn't become basketball when you become a primadon.

9:04 You're like, "Nah, I don't need to play.

9:05 I don't need to play.

9:06 That's whack.

9:07 Just play for fun." Love the confidence.

9:09 What happened?

9:09 What happened to the love of the game?

9:11 Yeah.

9:11 Everyone's like, "Oh, loving basketball.

9:12 I love basketball." What happened to that?

9:14 Yeah.

9:14 People are pretty scared.

9:15 They're walking on eggshells.

9:16 NBA needs more villains.

9:18 I don't care about losing.

9:19 These guys care about losing.

9:20 There's there's no there's no problem with losing.

9:22 Got to drop that ego.

9:24 Yeah.

9:24 I mean, you're still winning a lot.

9:25 98% win rate.

9:27 I'm winning a lot and I and I'd love to lose.

9:29 That's why I'm challenging these guys cuz it's like I don't care to lose.

9:32 So, come and play me.

9:34 Isaiah's like the best one I can think of cuz I do respect his game.

9:36 He's a short little pitbull.

9:39 I'd love to challenge myself against that.

9:41 Um, but even like I'll play WBY.

9:43 I'll play like Luca.

9:44 I'll play I'll play anybody.

9:46 It doesn't matter cuz I want to lose.

9:48 Like 98%

9:49 win rate is not healthy.

9:51 Yeah.

9:51 That's not good.

9:52 Do you ever look at your bank account and feel

9:54 like you're getting hit with fees for no reason?

9:56 Like overdraft fees, monthly fees, ATM fees just for using your own money?

10:00 That's exactly why I want to put you onto something better.

10:03 Chime is changing the way people bank.

10:05 They're not like traditional banks that nickel and dime you with random charges.

10:08 Chime gives you access to thousands of fee free ATMs.

10:50 That's chime.com/dsh.

11:05 spot, and travel perks, go to chime.com/disclosure.

11:08 Calling us unwill.

11:09 Yeah, I love that mindset.

11:10 And you were with Luca the other day, right?

11:11 I was.

11:12 Yeah.

11:12 Did you challenge him or

11:13 I did.

11:14 He's like literally not allowed to run.

11:16 So when he was doing his event,

11:18 he was like speed walking cuz it's like a rule sign contract.

11:21 Of course, but you know when the offseason happens,

11:23 I'm not going to be like pushing them and[ __] like that.

11:25 Like let's just play a normal game.

11:27 Let's see how it goes.

11:28 Dude, honestly with him,

11:28 I wouldn't be surprised if the offseason was off limits, too.

11:31 I don't mind.

11:32 I understand that actually.

11:33 I understand that.

11:34 But when a guy like Isaiah Thomas is crying in the comments,

11:38 it's just corny, bro.

11:39 Like, why are you running to the comments?

11:40 Just[ __] play it.

11:41 I feel that.

11:42 58 pipsqueak,[ __]

11:45 You played some woman.

11:45 Have you ever lost to a to a girl?

11:47 Many times.

11:49 Really?

11:48 Many times.

11:49 Is it because I'm taking it easy on them?

11:52 Maybe, but like not even like they're hitting,

11:54 if you watch the games against creators,

11:57 they're hitting ridiculous shots against college girls, like they're[ __] fast.

12:00 They're hard to keep up with.

12:02 Unorthodox style of play.

12:03 I'm not used to guarding girls.

12:05 So, I'd say my win rate with girls right now is like 70%.

12:08 So, it's lower than guys.

12:10 Yeah.

12:10 What the heck?

12:11 Yeah.

12:11 Maybe it's cuz I'm underestimating them, but I do try my hardest.

12:14 I play[ __] defense.

12:15 I'll rough them up and[ __]

12:17 cuz it's like I want to make it equal, you know?

12:18 That's what it is.

12:19 And they're solid.

12:21 I don't discriminate.

12:22 I also feel like in ones to five, anyone has a chance, right?

12:25 That's why I always tell everybody that's like

12:27 that's what the beauty of it is actually.

12:28 When you go up to 11,

12:30 it's very hard to like beat an NBA guy.

12:33 Becomes a cardio contest at that point.

12:34 And that's what it is.

12:35 When I played in T-Max league,

12:37 you remember that it was up to nine and it was running like so like you score

12:41 uh or sorry you miss you can get

12:43 the rebound and score and then you check like live.

12:46 With us it's like one shot only up to five.

12:48 If I played Drake I I just met with him the other day and I was joking.

12:51 I was like yo like

12:53 if we play you have a chance to win because he just hit two shots.

12:56 He already got a jumper too.

12:57 Exactly.

12:58 And I don't really like playing defense.

13:00 So rappers, women, pro players, like that's why I play like grandpas.

13:05 Like you all have a chance to play.

13:07 Why not just just do it up to five?

13:09 Anybody can win.

13:10 I don't blame you for not playing D cuz you're playing 10 games straight.

13:13 You're probably gassed.

13:14 Gassed.

13:15 That's the coolest stat that I was telling someone at dinner yesterday.

13:19 The 98% win rate is like is amazing.

13:22 But when you when you factor in my losses, the losses come from the last game.

13:27 So, it's like the eighth to 10th game, that's when I'll lose 100% of the time.

13:32 I don't think Tanner have I ever lost like before, maybe like one time,

13:37 few times.

13:39 Wow,

13:39 that's insane.

13:40 Very rare.

13:40 It's always like the last game and it will

13:42 be like the best player who plays me then.

13:44 So, he's

13:45 That's not an excuse.

13:46 I lost.

13:46 I'll take that loss.

13:47 I love losing because it brings more views.

13:49 It's It's amazing.

13:50 I'm happy for the guy.

13:50 I get to put him on the platform, but

13:53 doesn't happen often.

13:54 I see people hating that you don't post the losses too in the comments.

13:56 There's not there's not any losses to post Sean.

13:59 Like I'm serious.

14:00 Like I have to post like we play I've played how many what what is it today?

14:04 It's April.

14:05 April something.

14:06 We've played how many games?

14:08 Would you say like 500 to a,000 games this year?

14:11 Yeah, bro.

14:12 Holy crap.

14:13 Like I don't lose.

14:14 So if I have to post 500 games and I've lost three of them,

14:17 that might that might even not get posted this year.

14:19 That makes sense.

14:20 Yeah.

14:20 You do so many pods.

14:21 So you understand the pot might draw not drop for a bit.

14:24 I get it.

14:25 Yeah.

14:25 I was going to ask with your injury,

14:26 you're probably chilling because you got a backlog of content, right?

14:29 Tons.

14:29 We have like long form that would last us two years.

14:33 I'm still uploading from my last Brazil trip,

14:35 which is when like we linked up maybe.

14:37 It was crazy.

14:38 I saw your last Vegas run.

14:39 You posted one of those recently.

14:40 Yeah, bro.

14:41 That was time ago.

14:42 And then like when it comes to like the reals of me

14:45 playing maybe like I'd say like a year's worth of content.

14:49 I mean, it's smart you did that cuz some

14:50 guys get injured and then they're screwed, you know?

14:52 Yeah.

14:52 It's a It's a safeguard.

14:54 It's also just for the love of the game.

14:55 Like, when I go on the court, even if there's no cameras,

14:58 I want to play as many ones as I possibly can.

15:01 Yeah.

15:01 Walk me through the injury, man.

15:02 I haven't seen you uh go public with what

15:04 I haven't been injured in 8 years.

15:06 Damn.

15:06 Which is amazing.

15:07 So, thank God for my body.

15:08 But I'd say like with this injury, I wasn't even mad.

15:12 Um if it was like a sprained ankle or like a broken leg, I'd be pissed.

15:16 But with this one, I was playing defense with my left hand up

15:20 and the ball hit against my arm as I was like hitting it down

15:24 and the strong guy I was playing against when I went to go down,

15:28 he went up and then it just twisted like

15:30 this and it just I didn't even hear a pop.

15:32 I just knew it was like

15:35 damn.

15:34 And then all of a sudden it just like my arm got stuck.

15:37 I thought it was a cramp maybe.

15:38 I was like, "Guys, my shoulder's dislocated." They're like,

15:42 "Really?" I'm like, "Yeah, maybe.

15:44 Let me see if it's a cramp." I was like, "No,

15:45 that's dislocated." And I was like, "Let's go to the hospital, pop it back in."

15:49 Jeez.

15:49 So, how how long you out for?

15:51 Um, it depends.

15:52 I have like tons of really good doctors worldwide, and it's been it's varied.

15:56 It's been like 1 month, 3 months.

15:59 I'm going to sit somewhere in between maybe a little bit less.

16:02 I'd say like a month and a half.

16:05 Yeah.

16:05 So, it's going quick, bro.

16:06 There's so much fun stuff that I do.

16:07 There's so much traveling that I do that it

16:09 doesn't even feel like I'm injured, to be honest.

16:11 You didn't have to cancel anything crazy?

16:13 No.

16:13 So, like we had a whole world tour lined up.

16:17 Uh, we had, let's say, we had Greece, we had Croatia, we had Macedonia,

16:25 Cyprus, that's crazy.

16:26 Italy, Paris,

16:27 people hoop out there.

16:28 Africa, and a lot of them will still be played

16:31 cuz I will heal very quickly as I'm seeing right now.

16:33 Did the MRI, there's not too much damage at all.

16:36 Um, but instead of playing now,

16:39 this is the beauty of one-on-one that I want to just highlight.

16:43 I I did an event the other day in San Antonio

16:46 and like a bunch of people played and I was just MCing

16:50 and with that one's format the views went

16:52 crazy like at least 5 million views across

16:54 all platforms from a game I wasn't even

16:56 playing in because people love the one so much.

16:58 So what we're going to do is when we go on these world

17:01 tours the main the focal point is

17:04 highlighting the best players around the world.

17:07 I'll put them against each other.

17:08 Let's let's see if someone can do what I do.

17:10 Let's see if someone can win five games in a row.

17:12 Let's find the next one v one king and let's breed them to become,

17:16 you know, one's allstars.

17:18 And it's to my point, I think I said before on the last pod,

17:21 some of these guys that are playing ones in my league with my format,

17:26 they're getting pro contracts to go play

17:27 like fives or threes in other countries.

17:30 That's beautiful.

17:32 When a scout's watching a guy play one-on-one, they see everything.

17:35 They see body language.

17:36 They see like how they can trash talk.

17:39 They can see how they defend in an open

17:41 area with no help defense, how they can score.

17:43 So, I'd say ones is brilliant.

17:45 It's a brilliant idea for scouts to like

17:48 watch and scout for their team professionally,

17:50 college, high school, whatever you want.

17:52 And that's what we're doing.

17:53 That's the governance of it all.

17:54 Nice.

17:54 I'm sure you got some offers, too, or any of those temp.

17:57 Bro, I've gotten tons of offers.

17:59 I've had I I always like I'm just gonna repeat myself, you know,

18:03 everyone's seen the last pod, but let's just say this on the record,

18:05 like I've had leagues, very high leagues,

18:08 like I high level leagues reach out to me and be like,

18:11 choose a team you want to play for.

18:13 You have a contract.

18:14 No way.

18:15 Yeah.

18:15 Holy crap.

18:16 On God.

18:17 That's nuts, bro.

18:18 And I'm just like, I don't want to play.

18:20 Really?

18:20 I don't want to.

18:21 Even if there was a certain dollar figure, you wouldn't take it.

18:23 No.

18:23 I've had media companies reach out to me to say,

18:26 "We want to document your whole story playing

18:29 it going from ones into the league and then

18:32 on top of that the contract." So, lots of money involved.

18:36 A great experience.

18:36 Our last talk, I wanted to go pro.

18:39 Um, I just don't want to right now.

18:40 The one NBA, not just pro.

18:43 Even the NBA, I don't know if I'd do it.

18:45 Um, you changed your whole perspective.

18:47 I just love ones entirely.

18:49 It's my sport.

18:50 I want to say I created it.

18:52 I didn't like, you know, I created this style of ones.

18:55 One-on-one up to five, dunks are worth two,

18:57 ankle breakers, layup worth two, ankle breaker, dunk worth three.

19:01 It's the most exciting form of basketball you'll ever watch.

19:05 And the numbers don't lie.

19:06 We're doing numbers that are bigger than the NBA.

19:07 That's insane.

19:08 I didn't know those I didn't know there was a three-pointer.

19:10 I knew there was the two with the dunk.

19:11 Three-pointer is dunk, ankle breaker, and dunk.

19:14 It's like the[ __] home run of baseball, but for B one-on-one basketball.

19:18 Yeah.

19:18 I got to see some of those highlights.

19:19 Yeah, I've done it like maybe like 10 times.

19:22 Damn.

19:22 Yeah, it's fire.

19:23 But it's very hard to do, right?

19:24 So that's why you get rewarded.

19:26 Yeah.

19:26 Would you ever add like a a four-point shot or something like that?

19:30 __]

19:30 From deep.

19:32 No, only three cuz the games are up to five.

19:34 True.

19:34 Yeah.

19:34 Four would be

19:35 if we were to like really institutionalize it like Olympics.

19:38 Maybe I'd go to seven just to keep the games a little bit longer,

19:41 but five to seven is a sweet spot.

19:43 You don't want to go No one wants to watch a[ __] game up to 11.

19:47 Nobody wants to watch a game up to 30.

19:50 There's been a lot of like people do that.

19:51 Oh yeah.

19:52 Like the Michael Beasley Lance Stevenson[ __] was up to 30.

19:55 It's like no one's watching that.

19:56 Like

19:57 you know and they are watching it but like let's be real.

19:59 You're bored.

20:00 It turns into it turns they're gassed.

20:02 They're getting lower quality buckets and people watching are focused on eating

20:05 their popcorn and talking to their side ting while they're watching the game.

20:09 Feel me?

20:09 Like with with ones up to five and seven.

20:12 You're locked in.

20:13 You're watching the entire way through.

20:14 And I've had the craziest audience of people.

20:17 I've had girls that hate basketball.

20:19 I've had old men come up to me in the streets saying they hate basketball,

20:24 but they watch this.

20:25 So that's the point.

20:26 Like, no one wants to watch a game that long.

20:28 You've got weight loss goals, but hitting them is another story.

21:30 Short attention span.

21:31 I'd imagine you got a heavy male audience though, right?

21:34 Yeah, it's predominantly males.

21:36 Yeah, at least 80%.

21:37 Same with me.

21:39 Yeah.

21:38 Yeah.

21:38 I feel like they just love stuff like this.

21:40 But that's cool.

21:41 You got some females watching too.

21:42 20%.

21:43 That's what I love.

21:43 I love it.

21:44 It's amazing.

21:45 And like we were in butt[ __] nowhere

21:47 in California coming up here and this girl recognized me.

21:50 She's like a high school girl.

21:51 She's like, "Oh my god, is that MK?" Like when I play soccer,

21:55 I'm talking[ __] the same way you are.

21:57 And I'm like, "Holy shit." Like that's dope.

21:59 That's fire.

21:59 And I want to do like girls ones as well.

22:01 There's no discriminating.

22:02 Like even if it's girls versus guys,

22:04 but a girls league would be insane with my style of one-on-one.

22:08 Yeah, there's no really girl one-on-one player right now, right?

22:10 No.

22:11 Can you imagine just putting up a bag for Angel Reese Caitlyn Clark?

22:14 I'll go nuts.

22:15 Stupid.

22:16 I got to educate myself more on women's basketball,

22:18 but I think that's the next step is like playing

22:20 these women and seeing like how they can compete against me,

22:23 vet them, and then make that league for for open for women as well.

22:26 Yeah, that'd be nuts if you could find a female MK.

22:29 Oh yeah, there's definitely some out there.

22:30 I've played some like Shai.

22:32 She's like uh she's a former Duke player and she plays like overseas.

22:36 She's from Toronto.

22:37 She was talking mad[ __] to me when I was playing.

22:39 I'm like, "Yo, like am I playing a dude right now?" Like

22:41 she's like screaming at me and like making me feel like[ __] Yeah.

22:45 I even have a good friend.

22:46 She's right here.

22:47 She doesn't even play basketball.

22:49 And she was playing with my boy the other day and talking mad[ __] I'm like,

22:52 "Yo, that's me." Like,

22:53 she's watching the videos like she's talking mad[ __] winning.

22:55 Yeah.

22:55 It's crazy.

22:56 Bouncing off the guy's head and[ __] I love it.

22:58 I think every sport needs it, man.

23:00 Yeah, they do.

23:01 It's exciting.

23:02 Yeah.

23:02 Like some sports are so like polite.

23:04 The athletes are friends with each other and it's just like,

23:06 dude, I don't want to watch this.

23:07 There's a the biggest appetite for alternative sports right now.

23:10 I think so.

23:12 Period.

23:11 Yeah.

23:12 I think you caught great timing, man.

23:13 How's it been navigating the fame?

23:14 Cuz you've been blowing up since our first episode.

23:17 Yeah, it's I'm sure it's been up and down.

23:19 I had my good So, the guy I'm working on my TV show with for one-on- ones,

23:23 Yas, insane producer.

23:25 He's done a ton of stuff.

23:26 He's like, I told him a story because I went to go to this club,

23:30 the biggest party school in Canada, and it's called the Laya.

23:34 And I went and I was partying and I had to go to the bathroom.

23:37 And I was like, "Yo, when I went down to the bathroom,

23:40 50 people all came to the bathroom just to like

23:42 see me and take pictures with me." And I He's like,

23:46 "Yo, that's crazy." Cuz Eminem told me the exact same thing when I met with him.

23:48 He's like, "When did you feel like the fame actually hit?" It's the same story.

23:52 When people follow you to the bathroom, it's another level.

23:55 And I I love meeting new people.

23:56 That's so I'm I'm happy about it and I always try

23:58 to learn about other people when I when I see them.

24:01 But in terms of the fame, like it's been like huge.

24:04 Every country I go to, it's no different.

24:06 You're worldwide, which is that's true fame to me

24:09 cuz some people are famous in the US,

24:10 you know, they can know that no one knows you in other places,

24:13 but everywhere I go, airport security.

24:16 I was on a plane the other day and the guy me,

24:18 he didn't talk to me on the plane, but he messaged me.

24:20 He's like, "It was a pleasure having you on board.

24:21 How did I fly?"

24:23 It's crazy.

24:24 __] pilot, police, like firefighters, uh,

24:28 government, lawyers, politicians, anybody you can imagine.

24:32 Yeah.

24:32 It's all levels, all walks of life.

24:34 Yeah.

24:34 It's like I You're like the I show speed of basketball.

24:36 I feel like Thank you.

24:37 cuz he could go to any country, too.

24:39 I want to go with I show speed to Africa cuz he absolutely killed Africa.

24:44 Um, and he had so much fun.

24:46 And that's another plan we have set up potentially in August, September,

24:50 like later in this later on this year to go to like

24:53 a Zimbabwe or like a Kenya or like a I don't know, South Africa.

24:59 Yeah, he showed up last night.

25:00 Did you see his body slam last night?

25:02 That's what I'm saying.

25:03 And I don't He doesn't even have to play.

25:04 I feel like him just like showing me showing me the the universe of of Africa.

25:10 Just like enjoy Africa with him, but play ones and bring those crowds together.

25:13 It would go dumb.

25:14 Dude, that'd be the most viral collab of the year, I feel like.

25:17 Honestly, you two are both getting crazy views.

25:19 Have you played in Africa yet?

25:21 No.

25:21 That's why I want to go so bad and I'm ready to go.

25:23 We've had some talks with them and I think that'll be like life-changing

25:27 for me like as an experience cuz I really want to like every,

25:30 you know, that everywhere I go,

25:32 the reason why the fame has gotten so high cuz I really tap into the culture.

25:36 I learn languages.

25:37 I eat their food.

25:38 I dress like them.

25:39 I go visit the monuments.

25:41 And I think like that's what's special about Africa.

25:44 uncharted territory for me.

25:45 I'll learn so much and I think like they

25:47 don't know about one-on-one basketball and they'll[ __] love it.

25:50 Like I want to play like I want to play on the best courts.

25:53 I want to play in the dirt with bare feet.

25:55 Like you know I want to do all walks.

25:56 I want to play against anybody and everybody.

25:58 Dude, there's some hoopers out there.

26:00 I know.

26:00 There's like[ __] 8 foot tall people.

26:02 Yeah.

26:03 They had a team in the Olympics last time, Sudan or something.

26:06 Yeah, Sudan.

26:06 Yeah.

26:07 Against USA.

26:07 They went stupid.

26:08 They almost beat them.

26:09 Yeah.

26:09 And that's what like there's so much untapped talent all around the world.

26:13 It's very difficult for them to like reach

26:14 that level of fives basketball or even threes.

26:18 Ones is this next this next category that I've opened up

26:21 for anybody to shine worldwide and I'm going to find them myself.

26:24 Not a lot of people do it.

26:25 Yeah, you've played all over Abu Dhabi,

26:27 Spain, Italy, Serbia, Brazil, and the FLLAS.

26:29 It's crazy all the time.

26:31 And I those like the ones you named then Turkey as well, Greece.

26:34 Like they're all so special in their own likes, but I love all of them, man.

26:39 I think like

26:40 Abu Dhabi is a crazy one.

26:42 We didn't even get to play there.

26:44 Really?

26:44 Yeah.

26:44 Oh, you went with the professor, right?

26:45 Went with the professor.

26:46 10,000 people showed up.

26:49 We ordered like 40 police.

26:51 Uh we had like 10 security assigned to us.

26:54 People were so[ __] excited.

26:56 We couldn't even play.

26:57 That's insane.

26:58 Imagine.

26:58 We couldn't even play oneonone.

27:00 And that was the biggest compliment.

27:01 So, I'm going to head back there when

27:02 everything settles down and and play for sure.

27:04 How did it blow up like that?

27:05 You just made one post and

27:07 made one post a day before on top of this helicopter pad like hotel.

27:11 Me and professor were like, "Yo, pull up.

27:13 We're going to run twos and then professor's

27:15 going to coach me in the ones." You know,

27:17 legend passing the torch.

27:19 It was just iconic.

27:20 And then too many people.

27:23 We had our little green room, little hut,

27:26 little building.

27:26 There's like thousands of people just outside waiting for us to come.

27:29 We went out and it was just too packed.

27:31 Who called it off?

27:32 The government step in or something?

27:33 the government ordered like 40 more police

27:35 and then we still couldn't get it done.

27:37 It's just difficult to move everybody out of the way.

27:40 Um but we've prepared for next time for all the countries now.

27:43 We have like a clear system to like move everybody out of the way

27:46 so we can play and everyone can watch and be comfortable and[ __]

27:49 Yeah, you got to get in and out, right?

27:51 That's the problem cuz you know me, I'm a good guy.

27:53 Like everyone sees the everyone sees the crazy content,

27:56 but I like to take pictures with everybody.

27:58 I like to have like at least

27:59 a 30-second conversation with with with each person.

28:02 Wow.

28:02 When I'm lining up and there's like a thousand people.

28:05 We're just in London.

28:06 It was raining and I waited for an hour and a half

28:08 to take pictures with every single person that came cuz that's special to me.

28:11 I want to make an impact.

28:12 I want to like, you know,

28:14 I want to be a good guy and I am a good guy, but it's difficult now.

28:16 It's like it's very in and out.

28:18 I wish people saw that side of you.

28:20 You know, the number one question I get asked about you, tell me.

28:22 Is he actually an[ __] Yeah.

28:24 Is he an[ __] off?

28:26 I always tell people you're one of the nicest guys I've met.

28:28 Oh, thank you, bro.

28:29 I'm going to cry.

28:29 I wore the clear shades.

28:30 I'm going to cry.

28:31 No, but I get asked that every time I bring you up.

28:33 It's crazy.

28:34 So, you guys just hit number one on the business.

28:37 In business, number nine overall, number four on Spotify.

28:40 Congrats.

28:41 You're like one of the most talented guys I know.

28:42 But I want to ask you since we're on the number one business podcast,

28:46 how[ __] smart do I look right now?

28:47 These shades, dude.

28:48 You didn't have these last time.

28:49 No, like I look like intelligent.

28:50 Like I don't look like I look like Matthew.

28:53 I mean, we were looking at you on camera and I I barely recognized you.

28:56 The books in the back.

28:58 Look at you, man.

28:59 I'm sophisticated, brother.

29:00 So, talk to me.

29:00 respectfully.

29:02 My bad, dude.

29:02 Sit up straight when you talk to me.

29:04 Need to work on that.

29:06 Congrats on your marriage as well.

29:07 Thanks, man.

29:08 I'm hype.

29:08 That's really awesome.

29:09 We're 8 years in, you know.

29:10 Let's go.

29:11 Yeah.

29:11 You're next.

29:12 No, I don't know.

29:13 Maybe right now I might I might like,

29:15 you know, do like mirror a doctor or something.

29:17 Look how I look.

29:18 I might become Dr.

29:19 Matthew myself.

29:21 Yeah.

29:21 Yeah.

29:22 With your lifestyle it' be tough.

29:23 I think being a doctor.

29:24 No, being married.

29:25 Oh, being married.

29:27 Yeah.

29:27 You think so?

29:28 Well, you're traveling a lot.

29:29 You know, you're in social media.

29:31 Yeah.

29:31 It'd be tough for the normal girl, I think, to handle.

29:33 It's very difficult to find love these days at itself.

29:36 But with me alone, Yeah.

29:37 It's very difficult.

29:38 The challenges with women are difficult.

29:40 Yeah.

29:40 Cuz you got the the social media following is one thing,

29:42 but also the money and just like your life.

29:44 There's so many like Yeah.

29:45 There's so many.

29:45 You got a lot going against you.

29:47 Absolutely.

29:47 We'll find it.

29:48 We'll figure it out.

29:48 Give me advice.

29:49 I got I got the one of the best guys to give me advice.

29:51 So, for me, I met her when I was broke.

29:54 Fire.

29:54 It's a different uh So, I just got to tell them I'm broke.

29:56 Yeah.

29:56 But that doesn't work.

29:57 It doesn't work.

29:58 Isn't your salary public?

30:00 Is it

30:01 your revenue?

30:01 I just got to tell them I'm my different name.

30:02 I'll be like, "Yeah, my name is I'll use my middle name.

30:04 My name's Thomas and I'll wear these glasses and I'll

30:07 just dress like this or I don't know something.

30:09 Maybe even less like less saucy." And I'll be like, "Yeah, I don't do much.

30:13 Work for the government." That might work.

30:14 But your face is just you get so many views.

30:16 They would know you, bro.

30:17 I doubt a girl's meeting you and they're like, "Who is that?"

30:21 Yeah.

30:21 You know.

30:21 Yeah.

30:21 Yeah.

30:22 You're right.

30:22 Thank you.

30:22 The downside of being on social media,

30:25 I kind of have it good cuz like I'm not I don't consider myself famous,

30:28 but like when people come up to me, it's really respectful.

30:30 They're like a fan of the show, you know?

30:32 You are famous.

30:33 I don't get like fanboyed or anything.

30:34 You're huge.

30:35 Yeah, of course you do, bro.

30:36 I bet you everyone's always like, "Yo, I want to be on your pod."

30:39 Well, that Yeah, that's huge.

30:40 Probably.

30:41 Yeah.

30:41 What do you say?

30:42 I say, "I'll check out your shit."

30:44 Everyone asked me, "I want to play one-on-one against you." What do you say?

30:47 I'm just like I tell him I'm like, "Yo, don't." Like, it's just a bad idea.

30:51 Yeah.

30:51 Yeah.

30:52 Like it's going to ruin you.

30:53 And then we play and they're just like, "Fuck, that sucked." Like

30:56 they had fun, but it's just like, damn.

30:57 I set up a couple for you and that's pretty much how it went.

31:00 Yeah.

31:00 I did lose one game in Vegas against that little Filipino kid.

31:03 I saw that.

31:03 But you you seem gassed that.

31:05 No, bro.

31:06 That was That's one of the ones.

31:07 That's That was one of the ones where it was the first game.

31:10 But you underestimated him.

31:12 Yeah.

31:12 He's like 52.

31:14 52.

31:15 I was reading the comments.

31:16 People were like, "You weren't trying." But I don't know.

31:17 I was like I w I wasn't taking them serious, but I was trying.

31:21 So, when you underestimate someone, there's a very high chance you lose.

31:25 Dude, those Filipinos,

31:26 I can't guard Filipinos.

31:27 That's why I'm scared to go there cuz like they're fast as[ __] They're strong.

31:30 This kid's like 51.

31:32 Looks like malnourished almost.

31:34 Looks like he's like not eating and he's strong as[ __]

31:36 And like nothing I was doing was working against him.

31:38 Couldn't shoot.

31:39 This guy was nasty.

31:40 So,

31:41 there's a Filipino league out here.

31:42 You You can't be over 6 feet to play in it.

31:45 And uh those guys are just different.

31:47 Like what if I just like have a hunchback that day?

31:49 Do you think I could play?

31:49 You're 6'2, right?

31:51 Maybe you could lie about it.

31:52 I'm going to just wear like super flats.

31:53 I'm going to wear these Amiris.

31:55 Super flats like this much.

31:57 A hunchback.

31:57 I doubt they're actually measuring.

31:59 No, but that's crazy.

32:00 They actually have a rule.

32:01 Yeah, you can't be.

32:01 I wanted to play in it and um No, they wouldn't let

32:04 You're Filipino.

32:05 I'm I'm Chinese, but I could probably say I'm like part Filipino.

32:07 You could.

32:08 It would work.

32:08 I think it'd work.

32:10 Um there's also a mini hoop league.

32:11 Have you ever done that[ __] Like the go crazy.

32:14 I think like one of the rules I might implement maybe we're in talks is like

32:19 making the rims lower for the one-on-one league.

32:22 Not like crazy, but imagine like a 97 or like a 96 like a 96 for girls.

32:27 I think you should and like 967.

32:30 Do you see that meme or no?

32:31 Yeah, that shit's annoying.

32:32 Good.

32:33 Oh, it's annoying.

32:34 Sorry, am I getting kicked off that?

32:35 No, it's the most Googled word of the year or something.

32:38 Yeah.

32:38 So, like imagine like a 967 rim in oneonone and you

32:42 can just like dunk on that[ __] That would be crazy.

32:44 So that's like something we're discussing.

32:46 Um because sometimes I'll go to the court like one one crazy video

32:50 like segment I did was the rims in Markham Ontario were like 7 ft

32:56 Mont Ontario Canada as a province and bro it was

32:59 like 7 foot rims and I was just doing the most.

33:03 Like I just blow past someone and just do a 360 casually.

33:07 Yeah, it was fun.

33:07 So to your point in the mini league,

33:09 like the mini hoop league, I think I would go crazy.

33:11 You should do it.

33:12 I would try it.

33:13 I would try it on a video.

33:14 I would go dumb.

33:15 I think I might do that.

33:16 I mean, you're already windmilling on 10 feet.

33:18 Yeah.

33:19 All of that[ __] that I do on like I can do like on a mini hoop.

33:21 I can do on a on a real You'd be proud of me.

33:23 I dunked last week.

33:25 Did you?

33:26 Yeah.

33:25 Yeah.

33:26 But I know you can dunk.

33:26 You're like what?

33:27 You're like 6'8, bro.

33:29 66.

33:28 Are you like 67?

33:30 Yeah.

33:30 Oh, okay.

33:30 You with the 67[ __]

33:32 Um, no.

33:33 But I dunked like a little white man dunk.

33:34 Like a two-hander.

33:35 That's hard.

33:35 Like a Chinese dunk.

33:37 Yeah.

33:37 We're not that athletic.

33:38 Did you make like a Chinese like animated sound when you did it?

33:40 I pulled out the too little after cuz

33:42 this kid was talking like the the what is it called the anime[ __]

33:47 Yeah.

33:47 I feel like you would go crazy with that.

33:48 That go viral.

33:49 I don't embrace my Chinese side that much on the court.

33:52 No, I

33:52 you should.

33:52 But I feel like that's the next level for you.

33:56 Really?

33:55 Yeah.

33:55 Like if you embrace that Chinese side, you'll go crazy.

33:57 Like

33:58 no one's talking[ __] in Chinese.

34:00 No.

34:00 Talk some[ __] in Chinese.

34:01 Make like some grunts and[ __] like that, you know?

34:03 Like that'd be viral.

34:05 I'm going have to start like some anime[ __] I don't bring camera guys

34:09 to my runs anymore because people will

34:10 guard you different once you start bringing them.

34:13 Yeah.

34:13 And they just move extra, bro.

34:15 They move extra.

34:16 So annoying.

34:16 They try way harder.

34:17 But now with me, it's all the time.

34:19 Even if there's no cameras, bro, this is a crazy thing.

34:21 We'll go to LA Fitness.

34:23 It's a private membership gym.

34:25 I'll go and play and train with my bro Tanner and we're just getting up shots.

34:28 A crowd of like 60 people will show up in that hour and be like,

34:31 "Yo, we want to play." I'm like, "Bro, there's no cameras.

34:33 You're not going to get posted.

34:34 I don't care.

34:35 I just want to play you." Now without cameras,

34:37 I'm still[ __] I'm still[ __] I'm still like I'm still getting clipped, bro.

34:41 It's crazy.

34:41 That's wild.

34:42 Yeah.

34:42 Everywhere we go, people are just filming.

34:44 It's unbelievable.

34:45 Yeah.

34:45 Especially LA.

34:46 I feel like

34:47 LA everywhere, bro.

34:47 I was in Italy checking over my balcony

34:50 at my hotel and people were filming me on the balcony.

34:53 No way.

34:53 My restaurants.

34:54 I have a crazy story.

34:55 I don't even know if it's worth talking about on this pod.

34:57 In Italy?

34:58 No.

34:58 In in Toronto, I went to go to dinner

35:01 and my ex-girlfriend, she messages me.

35:03 She's like, I went to go into the kitchen and do a tour.

35:05 Mhm.

35:06 And like, you know, to promote the restaurant and she's like, "Oh, haha,

35:10 you got kicked out of the restaurant." I'm like,

35:11 "Bro, you're not even here." Like,

35:13 "How do you know that, bro?" I get a I get a a message

35:16 sent to me from another from from her friend or whatever saying that I'm there.

35:20 And then another one filming that I was at the restaurant.

35:22 I'm just like, "Holy fuck." Like, people are just like

35:24 can't go anywhere.

35:25 Spying, bro.

35:26 Can't go anywhere, bro.

35:27 No, it's bad.

35:27 It's really bad.

35:28 That sucks.

35:29 That sucks.

35:30 Yeah.

35:30 I don't ever want to get to that level, unfortunately.

35:32 You will.

35:34 Number one podcast.

35:35 sell the show in the world soon.

35:36 You're going to sell the show

35:37 one day.

35:39 Okay.

35:38 The revenue is getting pretty crazy.

35:40 Um the viewership's getting nuts.

35:41 So it's like ad revenue.

35:42 Yeah, we're starting to get some offers already.

35:44 Are you going to be like the main host?

35:45 Yeah.

35:46 So what happens is like they'll pay you

35:48 for a 10 like you know Charlemagne the God.

35:51 Yes.

35:50 He sold his show for 200 million last year.

35:53 Holy.

35:53 So you stay as the host and then you it's like a five or 10 year deal.

35:56 That's hard.

35:56 Yeah.

35:56 Rogan did it too.

35:57 Rogan did 250 for 10.

35:59 That's gas.

36:00 I got to start podcasting.

36:01 You should start one.

36:02 Yeah.

36:03 Well, what should I do though?

36:05 That's the thing.

36:05 You can't just start a pod and do cuz yours is so niched down.

36:08 As many crazy guests as you get it is you keep it niche down.

36:12 We go all in on short form similar to you.

36:14 That's our bread and butter.

36:15 We're known for the clips.

36:16 So you got to find your kind of angle.

36:18 I wonder for you.

36:19 So if you were to ask me some questions right now,

36:22 three, two, whatever you want.

36:23 Maybe like six or seven.

36:24 Like how many clips would you how many what would you ask me to get a clip?

36:28 What would we clip up right now?

36:30 I know we probably already have tons of clips.

36:31 We already got a ton.

36:32 Every time I write is a clip.

36:33 So, give me one.

36:34 We got seven.

36:35 Um, was Neon the worst basketball player you've ever seen?

36:41 Neon is a decent basketball player, but he's not Bill like that.

36:44 He's not a dog.

36:46 He's so[ __] scared.

36:47 And I love him, but it's like

36:49 his nuts don't drop.

36:51 Like, you know what I mean?

36:52 They're shriveled, bro.

36:53 His tea levels are low.

36:54 Low.

36:55 I love him, but low.

36:56 Like, he was so scared when I played.

36:58 I had like some guys I didn't even pull up

37:00 with to the court just like barking at him like just barking.

37:03 Imagine.

37:04 And he's just like, "What the fuck?" And he even said it.

37:07 The LA run we did,

37:09 I promoted it a day before.

37:11 No one knew Neon was coming.

37:12 And he's like, "How the[ __] did like 500 people show up,

37:15 so he wasn't expecting that.

37:17 He was expecting to be private runs." And when we played, like

37:20 it was a I felt bad.

37:22 I could tell.

37:23 Like I I still dogged him.

37:24 But I was like, "Bro, like you took his phone.

37:26 I took his phone.

37:27 I was streaming.

37:28 I was streaming while I was scoring.

37:29 It was[ __] up.

37:31 But he just wasn't ready for it.

37:32 Poor Neon.

37:33 Yo.

37:33 Poor Neon.

37:34 Man, get in the weight room maybe.

37:36 I don't know.

37:37 He's got to go to like military camp, like my camp, like MK camp.

37:41 That would ruin his branding though.

37:42 So, it's kind of tricky.

37:43 I feel like why?

37:44 He's known as like the skinny like annoying kid.

37:46 What if he just got jacked and just turned into a demon and just like piping?

37:50 People would still[ __] with him.

37:51 That's a good question.

37:52 They would, bro.

37:53 cuz they always love his dating life.

37:55 But imagine like imagine he actually like pulled

37:57 like a proper shorty like got jacked as[ __]

38:00 He's rapping now.

38:02 She want an Indian.

38:04 That track's hard.

38:05 I've been rapping it like over and over again.

38:07 PDG recently.

38:09 He made a song.

38:10 He needs to get in the studio.

38:11 He needs to get in the like in the weight room.

38:13 He needs to play ball with me.

38:15 Um and he needs like some dating classes to just like

38:18 pick out what female is good and what female is toxic.

38:21 and he'll be a stud and he'll go stupid viral.

38:23 Already viral, but like he'll go even crazier.

38:25 I feel that.

38:25 Would you ever get into streaming or you think that's too invasive for you?

38:29 Streaming is like I'm open to it,

38:31 but it's got to be the right time, the right place.

38:34 I don't I chose this life to not work a 9 to 5 job.

38:38 Streaming is like how many hours a day?

38:40 16 hours of being performative.

38:43 I can't do it.

38:44 You know what I mean?

38:44 It's just too much.

38:46 There's too much work.

38:48 I like being horizontal, bro.

38:49 I like sleeping.

38:50 I like laying down.

38:50 I like chilling.

38:51 So, when I play, I like to lay down, film a pod with you.

38:55 Streaming is tough.

38:56 It's a difficult life, which is why I respect all streamers.

38:58 But, I don't know.

38:59 Maybe I'll stream my games.

39:00 We'll see.

39:02 Yeah, if I'm going to stream, it needs to be a huge event,

39:03 like one-on-one crazy, like a UFC card, but for ones.

39:07 Yeah, I feel that.

39:08 I agree.

39:08 I'm I'm on the same page.

39:09 I've been offered some deals, but you give up a lot of your lifestyle.

39:13 A lot of it.

39:14 Yeah.

39:14 Imagine how many hours these guys are streaming.

39:16 Respects, but it's[ __] tiring.

39:18 Vegas would be hard, too, cuz you can't stream in the hotels.

39:21 Oh, you're not allowed to stream at all?

39:22 Not in MGM.

39:22 No.

39:24 __] Yeah.

39:24 So, I don't know how it would work

39:25 here cuz that's what we're known for, the casinos.

39:27 Yeah, you're right.

39:28 You've been gambling out here this week.

39:30 Yeah.

39:30 What's your game?

39:31 Fontaine Blue.

39:31 How do you say it?

39:32 Font Font Fontaine Blue.

39:34 Fontaine Blue.

39:35 I was there.

39:36 We We did a deal with them and I was gambling there.

39:38 How much did you lose?

39:39 Not that much.

39:40 I'm not like a crazy gambler.

39:41 Like all those wicked stories.

39:42 I'm like a weird gambler.

39:44 Like I'll just go in with my boys, have fun,

39:46 just pull out like $500 to $1,000 and just play roulette.

39:50 Okay.

39:50 And just like choose number 33, number 11.

39:53 I'll be like my my guys and they'll be like advising me on what to bet.

39:57 I just have fun with it, bro.

39:58 I'm not like a true gambler.

39:59 I don't I don't really like gambling.

40:00 Unless it's like me and the ones, I won't gamble.

40:03 Oh, I got to hear some gambling stories with hooping.

40:05 Oh, yeah.

40:06 Let me show you the most you bet on this.

40:08 Hold on.

40:08 So, I've played for lots of money.

40:11 um thousands of dollars, hundreds of dollars, euros, Macedonian currency.

40:17 But one of my favorite ones that I bet this guy wanted to play me so bad.

40:21 I'm like, "Bro, I don't want to play you.

40:22 Like, shut the[ __] up.

40:23 We're not playing.

40:24 I'll offer you this much money." No, like put something proper on the line.

40:27 He's like, "All right, I'll put this on the line." No way.

40:31 So, I actually I actually have the end pass.

40:35 Grants any holder permission to say the N word.

40:38 It's official documentation.

40:39 Feel that.

40:39 Let's go.

40:40 That's legit.

40:41 That's metal.

40:41 That's a black card.

40:43 Wow.

40:43 Yeah.

40:43 That's not the MX black.

40:44 That's the end pass black card.

40:46 Have you used it yet?

40:47 Uh, no.

40:48 No.

40:48 I just keep in safe and ready.

40:50 I roll with a lot of like black friends and stuff like that.

40:54 Um, they tell me that it's probably not a good idea that I use it, right?

40:58 But that was that's what I play for.

40:59 I play for crazy[ __] You know what I mean?

41:01 Cars, money.

41:02 But that one was impressive.

41:04 Actually cars though.

41:05 Yeah.

41:05 I played for an i8 BMW and I I won.

41:08 But I felt bad, so I just let him keep it.

41:10 Yeah, bro.

41:11 I'm not You're too nice,

41:12 bro.

41:12 I'm not going to keep that.

41:12 That's[ __] up.

41:13 What did you wager against that?

41:15 Nothing.

41:15 He's just like a He's just like a[ __] He's a stud.

41:18 He's a stud.

41:18 I feel that.

41:19 He's got a nut sack.

41:20 I would say if you wager some money, then it maybe.

41:22 But no, but like the end pass is crazy though, right?

41:25 Yeah, that's nuts.

41:25 That's a flex.

41:26 That's a flex.

41:27 That's like flexing an AMX black card, honestly.

41:29 Bro, it is a black card.

41:30 I'm more impressed with that than a a black card.

41:32 For real.

41:33 That's impressive.

41:34 Not a lot of white people can say that word.

41:37 I don't know.

41:37 It's not you're not allowed to use it

41:39 in all locations apparently, but I do have it.

41:41 If it needs to if it needs to be shown,

41:43 I do have it, but I don't I don't say it.

41:45 I feel

41:47 What's the uh most dangerous place you've played?

41:49 Was it Brazil or Mexico City?

41:53 What What would you say

41:56 where you just felt unsafe?

41:57 You were like

41:58 Brazil.

41:58 How am I going to get out of here?

41:59 I did my podcast in Brazil be sorry.

42:02 I did the podcast with you before I went to Brazil.

42:05 Is that correct?

42:06 Yeah.

42:06 Yeah,

42:06 bro.

42:06 When I went to Brazil, we had like[ __] AK-47s the size of you on the sidelines.

42:13 What?

42:13 Yeah.

42:13 I can't put that in the videos.

42:16 Wow.

42:16 And I'm playing against like their brother or something like that.

42:18 So they can just be like h if I'm like bouncing off their head.

42:22 Oh my god.

42:22 I stayed in the FLLA.

42:23 I was living in a pacified FLLA.

42:26 It means the police were there.

42:28 But like I go into the alleyway to my crib and there's guns.

42:31 I got to pass by guys with guns.

42:32 I was walking through an alleyway.

42:34 I fell in the AK-47 tip just touched my[ __] calf.

42:37 That's nuts.

42:38 So like that's pretty scary.

42:40 It's like guys that are like 300

42:42 lb monsters on motorcycles with government grade guns.

42:46 It's pretty scary.

42:47 Yeah.

42:47 You didn't get a nice ass hotel when you were there.

42:49 No, I had no money, bro.

42:50 Like when I did the pod with you first, like I wasn't like balling like that.

42:53 I could afford my trip at a basic level.

42:55 The second time I went, I stayed in Copa Cabana.

42:58 Like it's proper.

42:59 It was like more like bougie.

43:00 But we still went to the trenches, bro.

43:02 I have the guy.

43:03 He's like, "You in the flla.

43:05 You disrespect me.

43:07 I shot you." I saw that.

43:09 He got shot to me.

43:10 And he wasn't kidding.

43:11 No, bro.

43:11 He's like, like, you know what I mean?

43:12 I was so[ __] scared.

43:14 And maybe you see it in the video.

43:15 Maybe you don't.

43:16 But I was like, yo,

43:17 anyone would be.

43:18 Let's be honest.

43:19 If I like do something wrong,

43:20 like he'll just call his brother and[ __] find me and shoot me.

43:22 They're connected there, bro.

43:23 They use radios and[ __] Holy crap.

43:25 Yeah.

43:26 And like, yeah, it's scary, man.

43:27 That that was bad.

43:28 I think like in Sa Paulo, it's still FLLA territory.

43:31 I was saying some crazy[ __] The guy

43:34 in the back was cussing me out in Portuguese.

43:36 He's like, "Fila, like[ __] like[ __] your mother." All this[ __] And I'm like,

43:41 I said something back in Portuguese.

43:43 And the guy comes up to me, the only English- speakaking guy.

43:45 He's like, "Yo, I advise you don't talk to those guys

43:49 behind the fence because they're real." And they didn't even say it.

43:51 He's just like, "They're real."

43:54 Damn.

43:53 I'm like, "What do you mean?

43:54 Like, is it that bad?" He's like, "Yeah, that's like the gangsters.

43:58 Don't do that." And I was like, "Fuck him." But then I showed love at the end.

44:04 So we never have problems like that.

44:05 How How many languages do you speak?

44:08 I speak a lot of languages, not fluently, but I say Portuguese, like 90%.

44:12 I did a whole podcast in Portuguese, like listening and then speaking English.

44:16 Um, speak a little bit of Italian, a little bit of Spanish,

44:19 a little bit of Greek, uh, a little bit of a little bit of English sometimes.

44:25 Uh, Turkish, I know one word.

44:26 You just go like that and you just walk

44:28 up in Turkey like you're gonna go take Well,

44:29 you're married, but if you have any boys that go to Turkey,

44:32 walk up to a girl, just be like and they'll just get laid instantly.

44:35 Stop it.

44:36 I'm serious.

44:36 That works.

44:38 No, I feel like you're I'm serious, bro.

44:39 I've done it.

44:41 Just walk up and like, what?

44:44 Just smile at them like this.

44:45 That's like a cat call in Turkey.

44:48 Then it works.

44:49 I feel like you're trolling, bro.

44:50 No, bro.

44:50 I'm serious.

44:51 Try it.

44:52 You're going to get someone hurt.

44:54 Or just tell them like just be like walk up

44:56 to a girl or like a guy and just be like,

44:58 "Yo, baklava is Greek." When you're in Turkey, say it.

45:01 Isn't it Greek?

45:03 There you go.

45:05 No, it's not.

45:06 That's like breaking news to me.

45:07 It's from Turkey.

45:08 They always argue.

45:10 Baklava.

45:10 Baklava is like one of the biggest like best desserts, dude.

45:13 It's my favorite dessert.

45:14 Yeah.

45:14 It's fully Greek.

45:15 So[ __] But the Turks like to say it's them.

45:17 Yeah.

45:17 Wow.

45:18 What's in that notebook?

45:18 You You d I want I want to I want to bring it up.

45:20 I'm writing a book right now.

45:22 It's called Open When Ready.

45:24 So, like when you open it, like you got to be ready.

45:26 Are you ready or no?

45:27 I'm ready to hear this.

45:28 Okay.

45:28 Well, I'm writing it right now.

45:30 Um, it's done pretty soon.

45:32 It's like kind of like a designer table book like I don't know.

45:35 You know those like, you know, like the Louis Vuitton.

45:37 Is that a book?

45:37 Yeah.

45:38 So, kind of like that or whatever.

45:39 But this one has like crazy info.

45:41 You read it, it's going to speak to you any page you want.

45:43 But I have like all walks of life.

45:45 I have like flla gangsters.

45:47 I got like celebs.

45:48 I got like the best artists in the world that write in my books.

45:51 I filled up probably like 10 to 15 of them this year.

45:55 Oh wow.

45:55 Um but whenever I find someone I[ __] with genuinely that's got a good heart.

45:59 Everything you write in this book comes true in general.

46:01 So like you're going to take a moment and write.

46:03 You're my dog, dude.

46:04 Thank you.

46:05 I'm honored.

46:07 Yeah.

46:06 I'm big on uh writing down your your dreams.

46:10 Yeah.

46:10 It could be your dream.

46:11 It could be my dream.

46:11 It could be like in general.

46:12 It could be whatever you want.

46:13 I'm going to read it later.

46:15 And then you might want to sign it.

46:16 Otherwise, I'm just going to take credit for it and use

46:19 it as my own and put it in the book.

46:21 I like how you just like went to it quickly.

46:23 I[ __] with that.

46:24 Don't let anyone get Should I say what I'm writing or no?

46:28 No, not Leave it for the book.

46:30 When it drops, you might be in there.

46:31 And you signed it, too.

46:32 __] I would have taken it.

46:34 Damn it.

46:35 Damn it.

46:35 That's cool that you do that, though.

46:37 Yeah, man.

46:37 It's going to be sick.

46:38 I'll send you a copy when it's ready.

46:40 What's next to you, man?

46:42 What's the next big thing?

46:43 I think there's like so many things that I'm working on right now.

46:46 I've gotten really into like designing clothes.

46:49 I've gotten into writing my book, writing some show scripts, some TV scripts.

46:53 So, like movie scripts, modeling, believe it or not,

46:56 no matter how ugly I am or fat I'm getting, modeling, runway stuff.

47:01 Um, the one-on-one basketball league governance show is a huge thing for me

47:05 just because it needs to be done for like for sports in general.

47:09 I think like there's an appetite for it and everyone loves it.

47:13 So, a lot of stuff.

47:15 A lot of stuff.

47:15 And then I want to do some sort of like podcast.

47:17 I think it'd be fun.

47:18 Traveling the world, continuing to learn,

47:21 continuing to like elevate others through like ruthless,

47:23 raw, authentic competition.

47:25 Those are kind of like the things on the agenda.

47:27 I think you could do a cool pod since you

47:29 travel to so many cool spots and you're doing locals.

47:31 Absolutely.

47:32 You know, absolutely.

47:33 I think music is another one where it's like a language.

47:35 I just made a song with Rondo Dosa.

47:37 He's a huge Italian artist.

47:38 Super boyed up with Drake.

47:40 Um we just went in the studio in California,

47:42 randomly just made a track and that's like a language

47:44 where he doesn't really like he speaks English pretty good.

47:46 pretty good.

47:47 But I've done a track in Brazil with a guy who doesn't speak any English.

47:50 And it's like that's that language where you can like get[ __] off your chest,

47:53 become brothers, making a piece of art.

47:55 So a lot of music is I make like rap songs,

47:58 all that[ __] Music videos, especially while injured.

48:01 Why not?

48:02 Just have fun with it.

48:03 Yeah.

48:03 I got to I got to listen to some of your

48:04 I'm going to send you some[ __] Just don't release it.

48:06 Or you can use it as the digital social hour like intro music.

48:11 Can you freestyle?

48:12 Yeah.

48:12 No.

48:12 No.

48:12 No.

48:12 I'm not going to freestyle.

48:13 I was going to say we can end off with freestyle.

48:15 Can you freestyle?

48:15 Hell no.

48:16 Okay.

48:16 When I used to smoke weed a lot, I I thought I could.

48:20 Everyone did back in the day.

48:21 I feel like you would be just cool enough if you

48:22 could just do like the anime grunt sounds and you'll be good.

48:26 All right.

48:26 Next time we play together, if I dunk, I'll I'll do it.

48:29 You want to freestyle?

48:29 We'll have like a session.

48:31 No, I'll do the animate grunt sounds.

48:32 Okay.

48:32 Can Can we get one right now?

48:35 Oh, no, bro.

48:35 I got to get it with your[ __] organs, bro.

48:38 What?

48:38 You got to get it with your organs.

48:39 Like from your stomach, like No, bro.

48:43 You got to let it linger.

48:45 No, that's like a like if you was if you were to compare that to a fart.

48:48 That's like a like everyone laughs at you when you do that.

48:53 Like you got to be like you got to let it linger like you got to own it,

48:55 you know?

48:56 Like better.

48:59 That one's good.

49:00 That's like a That's like an anime villain right there.

49:02 We'll end it there, bro.

49:03 Yo, appreciate you, brother, guys.

49:05 Peace.

49:06 Thanks for staying all the way to the end, guys.
