1:13 align with, but I still love them,

1:15 and I think that's what we've been seeing with this show,

1:17 is people all over the world in literally

1:19 every country and in dozens of languages,

1:22 people are appreciating, revisiting these stories.

1:25 Now, I do want to let you know that when you watch episode 1 in particular,

1:27 you might be about halfway through the episode thinking, "Wait a minute.

1:30 I thought this was a Jesus show.

1:31 Where's Jesus?" Now, of course, Jesus will show up,

1:34 and when he does, it's going to be very powerful.

1:36 But, until that point,

1:36 we wanted to give you an introduction into the the setting in which Jesus came,

1:42 the historical context,

1:43 the cultural context, and yes, the people who were there,

1:46 what they were like before they encountered Jesus,

1:49 both his followers and his enemies.

1:51 And so, what you're going to be seeing is the lives

1:53 that they were leading because I believe that you can connect with that.

1:56 If you can connect the questions they're

1:58 asking and the challenges that they're facing,

2:01 it makes these people that sometimes we see as stained glass windows,

2:04 it turns them into human beings.

2:06 And if we can connect with their questions, and connect with their challenges,

2:08 then maybe we can connect with the answer

2:10 and the solution to those questions and challenges.
