0:11 AUSTIN ARIES.

0:16 YOU ARE THE BEST.

0:17 I DON'T WANT THE BEST.

0:18 STAY DOWN.

0:19 ALWAYS.

0:52 INSERT CLEARLY CALIFORNIA.

1:09 THIS ONE'S FOR THREE.

1:11 AJ HAWK, $5,000.

2:19 USA, USA, USA.

2:39 Come on, Henry, let's go.

2:41 Oh my Henry!

3:38 The following program is a collection of stooges

3:41 talking about happenings in the sports world.

3:43 It is meant to be comedic and informative.

3:46 The opinions expressed on this show do

3:48 not necessarily reflect the beliefs of their peers, their boss, or ESPN.

3:54 There may be some cuss words because that's how humans in the real world talk.

3:59 If you are a young, please seek permission before watching any further.

4:06 Hey.

4:07 What?

4:08 Let's go.

4:11 This show stinks, and the fact that you listen, we are very, very thankful for.

4:15 Mack could be on the line with a gorgeous assist.

4:18 The all-time leading tackler for the Green Bay Packers.

4:21 YOU PAID.

4:25 DAMN IT.

4:26 YOU CAN TELL A FRIEND SOMETHING NICE could change their life.

4:34 Hello, beautiful people.

4:36 And welcome to our humble abode, the Thunderdome,

4:40 on this Overreaction Monday, May 4th, 2026.

4:44 This sports program BEGINS NOW.

4:48 SPORTS.

4:49 ARE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, and we're so incredibly lucky that we get

4:52 a chance to chat about them every single day.

4:53 The weekend was loaded with sports awesome,

4:56 but I do have to take a moment to celebrate.

4:59 It is my daughter's third birthday today.

5:02 Happy birthday, Mackenzie.

5:03 Your dad loves you.

5:05 I've no idea if she's watching this right now

5:07 or will be forced to see it later in life.

5:09 Mackenzie has turned three.

5:10 It's been 1,095 days, I do believe,

5:13 of just absolute magic as I learn what love is

5:16 through the eyes of a little baby girl named Mackenzie.

5:19 Mackenzie, I love you.

5:20 I can't wait for you to get into sports more.

5:21 Remember, she had a run with soccer this year.

5:23 It was a little hit or miss,

5:25 but she certainly showed up, kicked the balls, and she's the goat.

5:28 And obviously, baby on the way,

5:30 and mama's kicking ass, so we we appreciate you, Mackenzie.

5:33 Happy birthday, pretty girl.

5:34 She's going to be I think it's a 2040 World Cup I think it is.

5:39 Yeah, and 2039 Olympics, I do believe, if my math is right.

5:44 She has a chance to potentially be the youngest for both of those.

5:47 Who knows?

5:47 We are still on track, you know, with how it's going.

5:50 I'm seeing 16-year-olds playing over in Germany.

5:52 I got a lot of stuff, but nonetheless,

5:54 I cannot wait to watch her continue to grow.

5:56 You're a badass.

5:56 Happy birthday.

5:57 Now, may the 4th be with all the Star Wars nerds out there,

6:00 too, which I have massive respect for.

6:02 My family is Star Wars nerd.

6:04 As you hear toxic table, one of those.

6:05 Let's just enjoy anything that is a celebration.

6:08 We will certainly do that.

6:09 Sports had a lot of it this weekend.

6:11 There are some hearts broken.

6:12 Uh-oh.

6:13 There are some hearts broken.

6:14 As the first round of both the NBA

6:16 and the NHL playoff series are now officially done,

6:19 and we've moved on to the final eight for both of those.

6:23 And just know, the city of Boston was representing in both of those sports.

6:26 MHM.

6:26 THEY NOW NO LONGER HAVE A team in any race.

6:30 Speaking of race, Golden Tempo, congratulations.

6:32 Big-time win.

6:33 Well done.

6:34 Cherie DeVaux, first-ever woman trainer for a Derby winner.

6:38 I think we're going to get a chance to catch up with her this week.

6:40 Should be a blast.

6:42 So many great things happened.

6:43 Golden Tempo was way back here in the ass end of the horse.

6:46 You never want to be on the ass side of a horse.

6:48 You always want to be on the nose side of a horse.

6:50 And Golden Tempo says, "I don't like being back here.

6:52 I'm a runner, a finisher, a closer,

6:54 a cold-weather giant." Golden Tempo, 23 TO ONE ODDS, MAKING a run.

7:00 Hi.

7:01 Hi.

7:02 Hi.

7:03 We'll get to the final stretch,

7:05 and it would turn into a two-horse race between Golden Tempo,

7:09 the first-ever horse that was trained by a woman

7:11 in a Kentucky Derby to go on to win,

7:12 TAKING ON RENEGADE, OWNED BY RAPHAëL BOTH JOCKEYS, BROTHERS.

7:17 YOU KNOW, THE ORTIZ BROTHERS ARE BATTLING AGAINST EACH OTHER.

7:19 WE'RE COMING DOWN THE FINAL STRETCH.

7:22 BANG.

7:23 RENEGADE, THE FAVORITE.

7:24 WHO SAYS GOLDEN TEMPO, KENTUCKY DERBY CHAMPION.

7:30 WHAT a race.

7:31 What an incredible photo here by Gabby Sorrentino at gsorrentino.tv.

7:35 I believe she's social media, uh, does a lot of digital stuff.

7:38 Gets an incredible photo of the Ortiz brothers here finishing one, two.

7:42 Uh, Cherie DeVaux, I believe will be joining the program this week.

7:44 Cannot wait to talk about it.

7:45 It was nice watching it.

7:47 Yeah.

7:47 More viewers than they've had in forever.

7:49 I guess 19.5 million viewers or whatever the case was.

7:53 A huge huge ratings for the Kentucky Derby.

7:56 Anytime sports get celebrated,

7:58 we appreciate it and that's what we're going to talk about today.

8:00 All of them.

8:00 We got Schefter joining us in about 10 minutes.

8:02 He was a part of a series called uh The pick is in?

8:06 Yep.

8:06 Yes.

8:07 Mhm.

8:07 Brought to you by NFL Films.

8:09 That good.

8:10 Good.

8:10 Great.

8:11 Had no idea it was happening.

8:12 That's on us.

8:14 Is it on us?

8:15 That's on us.

8:16 There's a lot of other stuff going on in probably

8:18 the worst possible time you could have ran that, but I agree.

8:20 We we should have known.

8:21 ESPN 7:00 Sunday.

8:23 Everybody knows that's whenever you run something

8:25 that's brand new from NFL Films and Skydance.

8:28 How did we not know about that?

8:29 I know I did.

8:30 Those clips are awesome.

8:31 How did we not know about that?

8:32 There was four game sevens yesterday.

8:34 in it?

8:34 How yeah, but you I don't know.

8:36 You tell me.

8:37 I didn't watch.

8:37 I've no Well, Schefty mikes up the whole time.

8:40 He looked like had conversations with him in the back.

8:42 He never did one of these at all.

8:43 It's like what what what So, who's doing it?

8:46 Who's doing work around here?

8:47 What's that?

8:48 expect that from Schefty.

8:49 Nine-year NFL vet Darius J.

8:50 Butler.

8:50 What Can we get a common courtesy?

8:52 I mean, who knows what we said?

8:53 I'm the vet.

8:54 Hey, watch what you say.

8:55 Just a couple of these.

8:57 Just one of those, Schefty.

8:58 We didn't know till I started seeing the clips come out.

9:00 I'm like How long was Schefty bugged?

9:03 I mean, what what are we what all That's not good.

9:05 I had a conversation with him.

9:07 That's toxic table at Boston Connor and toxic tone.

9:10 Right there.

9:11 Sounds like you're a little bit

9:11 worried potentially about the happenings of yours.

9:14 For me, I just probably talk on somebody that probably you know,

9:17 probably was in the in I would never talk any on anybody at NFL Films.

9:22 Stay away from that.

9:23 Skydance either.

9:25 But jeez Louise, we need to know

9:26 whenever people are miked up making great things.

9:29 The pick is in was fantastic.

9:30 That was really good.

9:31 Schefter was a big piece of it obviously cuz he's

9:32 a mover and shaker was on ESPN alongside NFL Films.

9:35 Feels like it might be their new Hard Knocks, you know,

9:37 cuz this is something that we don't normally get

9:39 to see finding new stuff as people are trading.

9:41 Then we have Sean McSharry will be here obviously for the NBA.

9:44 Jesse Cole, who's Mr.

9:46 Yellow Banana Suit.

9:48 Yep.

9:48 Formal name.

9:49 Yeah, @YellowTux Jesse.

9:51 There he is.

9:52 Genius, this guy.

9:53 Entrepreneur extraordinaire.

9:56 Um Ringling Circus leader.

9:58 Yes.

9:58 I believe what's that song?

10:01 The Greatest Showman.

10:03 Showman.

10:03 The Greatest Showman.

10:04 That feels like Jesse Cole is from that ilk.

10:06 You know, he is a promoter by nature.

10:09 Sport of baseball obviously was his first, you know, venture.

10:12 We'll find out why and how.

10:13 Now he's selling out football stadiums 100,000 plus tickets.

10:16 Insanity.

10:17 For gimmick baseball.

10:18 Still baseball, gimmick baseball.

10:20 Putting on an incredible show.

10:21 Now, what is the demo?

10:22 Probably younger than us,

10:23 but anytime something like this is happening in the sports world,

10:26 you should celebrate the out of it.

10:27 Whatever gets somebody into sports, whatever gets somebody into baseball,

10:30 whatever gets somebody out of their house

10:31 to go celebrate something in a community type setting,

10:33 which this place, Texas A&M down there, wonderful community.

10:37 Yeah.

10:38 I mean, they are all in.

10:38 Midnight before the midnight yell, I got a chance to be there.

10:41 They had 30,000 people packed into the stadium at midnight the night before.

10:44 They go 100 sub thousand deep here

10:46 for a Savannah Bananas game against the Texas Tailgaters,

10:49 and I'll tell you what, it was a nail-biter down there.

10:52 Couple fan outs on the foul ball.

10:53 All this Unbelievable success story both business and sports-wise.

10:57 And I believe he was sleeping on like a mat at one a mattress at one

11:00 point in like a garage cuz he was so in debt as he believed in this thing.

11:04 Now it's working out pretty well for him.

11:05 Can't wait to catch up with him.

11:07 And then Nelly Korda.

11:10 LPGA champ.

11:11 Yeah, will be joining us.

11:12 Can't wait to talk to her.

11:13 She has 18 LPGA wins, three major wins, a gold medal winner.

11:17 She's 27 years old, 10 years on the tour, an absolute stud.

11:21 And she hey, I went down to Augusta.

11:25 I was invited to the Masters.

11:27 I know I shouldn't have been there.

11:28 Sure.

11:29 It was nice to be there.

11:30 Got a golf lesson.

11:31 Guy Corey Conners and on a brick wall.

11:34 Yeah.

11:34 Right here like this.

11:35 Mhm.

11:35 You can have a brick wall.

11:36 And then load it on the back foot and then go ahead and release that thing.

11:41 Perfect She has a perfect swing.

11:42 She does.

11:43 She has the perfect swing and uh we cannot wait to chit-chat

11:46 with her about how I can maybe get better at the golf.

11:49 That would be great.

11:49 But also mentally, how she's so damn locked in.

11:52 Started as a professional as a 17-year-old.

11:54 Feels like we've known of her for a while.

11:55 Has placed, you know, a lot of pressure on her to be the next one.

11:59 And then whenever she's putting well,

12:00 she's dominant and she wins back-to-back tournaments here.

12:03 Mexico yesterday.

12:04 Last week was the Chevron Championship, which was her third major.

12:07 Seems to be on a little bit of a heat a heat.

12:09 Cannot wait to catch up with Nelly Korda.

12:11 So, should be a fun day.

12:12 Talks at the tables at Boston Connor and at Toxic Tone.

12:15 Ty Schmidt uh he's got uh good life going on right now.

12:20 He'll be away for a few.

12:21 We want to tell Ty and his family we love him.

12:23 Congrats.

12:24 Hell yeah.

12:24 Hell yeah, Ty.

12:26 Love you, Ty.

12:27 Now on that note, Tone, you're sitting right next to a a Boston

12:31 fan that just has nothing really going for him.

12:34 Nothing really going for him.

12:35 hand.

12:35 He's wearing a Patriots hoodie with what I think is a good distraction,

12:38 but if you walk outside,

12:40 there's only going to be one thing that people are asking about with the New

12:42 England Patriots and that's not ball and that's not making it to the Super Bowl.

12:46 Mhm.

12:46 Yeah.

12:47 I don't know what it was.

12:48 Interesting.

12:48 Hoops.

12:49 So, I mean that Now you got the Celtics

12:51 just losing to the Sixers and I'll tell you what, Sixers look Pretty good.

12:55 damn good at basketball.

12:58 But Joe Mazzulla, what's going on with this guy?

13:00 What's going on that he can't win?

13:02 This guy's favorite to win and then he doesn't win.

13:04 Is he not a winner?

13:05 When I believe Joe Mazzulla is one of the best up-and-coming coaches,

13:08 one of the best coaches in the NBA, going to be around for a long time.

13:11 They're going to talk about him being a hero.

13:12 Then they start bringing up stuff like, "Hey, he was favorite in this loss.

13:15 He was favorite in this loss.

13:16 They were supposed to win this one.

13:17 They were supposed to win this one.

13:18 They lose this one." This guy can't get the job done.

13:21 It's like, "Well, they did win a championship." Not enough, though.

13:24 And I feel like that's how Boston fans feel.

13:26 So, then Boston Celtics fans like no big deal.

13:29 Let's go ahead and turn our attention to uh

13:31 the Bruins just got their asses beat by the Sabres.

13:32 So, tough week and tough couple weeks for New Englanders.

13:36 Are you okay?

13:37 And what are your thoughts on the state of the second

13:40 round of these playoffs that no longer have any masshole representation?

13:44 Yeah, I mean I'm okay.

13:45 Look, the Boston Celtics I've seen them lose

13:47 in the finals at home in recent memory.

13:50 The Boston Bruins game seven once again at home

13:54 seeing them lose in the Stanley Cup finals.

13:56 So, not the worst possible thing.

13:57 Now, those things don't happen back-to-back.

13:59 It was tough having Friday night Sabres get killed roll right into Saturday.

14:03 Celtics Jason Tatum doesn't play all of a sudden.

14:06 How the hell did that happen?

14:07 Luka Garza's in the starting lineup.

14:09 What the hell's going on?

14:10 And then they lose.

14:11 So, it wasn't great.

14:12 It was very tough.

14:13 Unfortunately, you know, it's back to the drawing board.

14:16 You know, I honestly would rather lose right now especially

14:19 as the Celtics instead of going to the Knicks and getting blown out.

14:22 And same with the Sabres.

14:23 So, the second round of playoffs will be great.

14:25 It started last night with the hockey.

14:26 Fantastic.

14:27 And the And the basketball should be good, too.

14:29 NBA's got some sweet stuff happening.

14:30 Here's some Mambo stats.

14:31 One of the With the Pistons and 76ers overcoming 3-1 deficits in a series,

14:34 this marks the first time in NBA history there

14:37 were multiple 3-1 comebacks in a single playoff round.

14:39 And remember the parity was also being talked

14:41 about with the underdogs winning and the favorites winning.

14:44 And the NBA seemed really predictable throughout the season cuz

14:46 there was a lot of teams trying to be ass.

14:49 Mhm.

14:49 A lot of teams walking out there saying let's be ass tonight.

14:52 Hey.

14:53 Top done.

14:55 All ass.

14:56 Sub them out the wrong times.

14:58 Sub them in at the wrong times.

15:01 We're trying to lose Jason as much as we absolutely can.

15:04 Now, those teams are saying we're trying to rebuild this team.

15:07 Okay.

15:07 The only way we can rebuild is if we're ass

15:09 enough that we can potentially win the lottery and get

15:10 the number one overall pick and then we get

15:12 a superstar and maybe even in this upcoming draft class one,

15:15 two, three, four maybe all superstars.

15:17 So, we got to get up there in the lottery.

15:18 So, we got to be ass now.

15:20 Well, then there was teams trying to win.

15:21 So, then those teams are running into each other on a very

15:23 regular basis cuz there's 82 games in an NBA season.

15:26 And sometimes there'll be 25 point spreads.

15:28 Yep.

15:29 Professional sport.

15:30 Records.

15:30 Middle of season.

15:31 Record-breaking point spreads in these games cuz this team's trying to be asked.

15:35 This team's really good.

15:36 So, we are worried maybe about the NBA playoffs.

15:38 Is anybody tested or not?

15:40 Seems like they've been delivering, D-Butt.

15:41 I love what's been going on.

15:42 How about the Pistons going down bad?

15:45 Yeah.

15:45 And then coming all the way back.

15:46 Cade Cunningham basically putting a team on his shoulders.

15:49 Had a lot of turnovers in the first

15:51 three games and whatever they were losing to Orlando.

15:52 Still had 25 points, but he had a lot of turnovers.

15:54 Then they just kind of shut the valve off and they go ahead and win that thing.

15:57 The Stones, I believe is what they're called in Detroit.

16:00 they're not called the Stones.

16:01 it is.

16:01 Let's go.

16:02 Foxy, he made that up.

16:03 I don't know who he made it up with, but there's some boots

16:06 on the ground research with some Detroiters and they never heard of Stones.

16:09 Never heard of Stones.

16:11 Robinson.

16:12 Foxy wouldn't lie to us.

16:13 I'm now 39 years old.

16:14 My daughter is now 3 years old.

16:16 I had never heard Stones before either

16:18 before Foxy just dropped it like last week.

16:21 And then he made me feel comfortable and confident that if

16:23 I drop this, they're going to think I'm white boy Rick.

16:25 Maybe I'm supposed to be talking like Detroit.

16:28 So, I was going to say the Stones just kind of fit

16:29 in up there cuz we got a little beef with Detroit,

16:31 a couple of people up there certainly over the years.

16:34 So, I was trying to fit in.

16:35 Turns out I made me look like an Yeah, me too.

16:37 He made you look like an I remember Tim the Tool Man

16:40 Taylor saying it on him on Home Improvement when he was going Yeah,

16:43 he was going It was like, "Hey boys,

16:44 you want to go to the Stones game?" No, he's talking about the Rolling Stones.

16:48 was like, "I love the Stones." Brad needed to stay away from the Stones.

16:51 AJ's uh Okay, that is that is the real deal.

16:54 Listen.

16:54 Need to stay away from the

16:55 Everyone forgot we called him the Stones because it's been 18 years

16:58 since we won a playoff series until now because of Cade Cunningham, J.B.

17:02 Bickerstaff, and all the boys.

17:04 Let's go.

17:05 Congratulations.

17:06 Okay, so maybe we shouldn't have turned that into an immediately a negative

17:09 conversation cuz the Pistons have done something

17:11 they haven't done in a long time.

17:12 But, I like where the NBA is currently sitting.

17:14 Lakers move on as well.

17:15 D-Butt, your thoughts on the NBA playoffs as they continue to cook.

17:18 We'll talk to Danny Green here in a bit.

17:20 Yeah, I love every year I love the NBA playoffs.

17:22 And maybe we thought coming into this season,

17:24 this first round would have been it would have been terrible.

17:26 But to have three game sevens in the first round was incredible.

17:29 And then the story lines coming out of this one on both sides.

17:32 Obviously, injuries.

17:33 Injuries are always a part of when you get to this part of the season.

17:35 With the Sixers, if Embiid is healthy and motivated

17:39 and playing the way he played in that game seven,

17:41 like I know for me, I've been kind of out on him sometimes.

17:44 It's like, okay, he shows up when he wants to.

17:46 Obviously, he's hurt a lot, but you can't really control that.

17:49 way he played, the way he gutted out

17:51 through this injury and kind of set the tone.

17:54 Clearly see no one can match up with him once he gets in the paint.

17:56 Obviously, he can shoot.

17:57 I can I hate when he's shooting threes, but him and then Maxey.

18:00 Maxey taking over.

18:01 In the playoffs, you always kind of need that guard

18:03 to take over and get get some buckets down the stretch.

18:06 He did that.

18:06 He, um, you know, put the lid on that series.

18:09 VJ is coming as well.

18:10 Paul George, when he's healthy.

18:11 So, 76ers for me in that East is the team that I really got my eyes on.

18:15 And then on the West, you know, the story lines with LeBron.

18:17 It's always going to start with LeBron.

18:18 And then OKC, can they go back-to-back with the MVP,

18:21 the special season that they're having?

18:23 Is it Wemby's year?

18:24 Is it Wemby's time?

18:25 And then the Knicks.

18:27 We know.

18:28 You know.

18:29 Most of the country is waiting for them to fail and for it all blow up.

18:32 And then we hear all the loud Knicks fans say,

18:35 "Oh, this year, next year." The coach to this, to that.

18:37 So, I love the playoffs.

18:38 I love where we're at right now.

18:39 Yeah, we're with our great eight teams playing.

18:41 All of them can obviously go on a run.

18:43 Oklahoma City doing it again would be very expected,

18:45 especially with how they've been playing.

18:46 But why not Wemby taking over something in the West?

18:49 He's have to get past Ant-Man and Timberwolves.

18:51 How is Ant-Man?

18:52 Remember the hyper tension?

18:53 It's like, well, if Shams is joining us here in about 15 minutes for a drive-by.

18:57 Sure.

18:57 Yeah, we'll see.

18:58 Just need a hot five.

19:00 Is he driving an RV or Not a deep thought.

19:02 No, he's doing just a drive-by this time.

19:05 car.

19:05 Josh Hart of the Knicks actually spoke about Tyrese Maxey,

19:07 man, you just spoke highly of.

19:09 Tyrese Maxey, obviously, the clearly the fastest human on any basketball court.

19:12 Anytime he's on a basketball court.

19:13 Josh Hart was asked about how he plans on defending him.

19:15 He said he's going to ask him just kind of slow down.

19:17 Smart.

19:18 Might help.

19:18 Can you chill, dude?

19:19 Can we do a little bit of that?

19:20 I used to do that to ball returners.

19:22 It did work for a couple guys.

19:24 I think it's not a bad idea.

19:25 Maybe just plant a seed.

19:26 I don't think you should say it publicly that you're going to try to do it.

19:28 I think you should have done it naturally.

19:29 So, he's going to have to find another way to get that message.

19:31 But Maxey, unbelievable.

19:33 How about Paul George?

19:34 Yeah.

19:34 Yeah, still doing it.

19:35 Paul George having a little bit of a resurgence.

19:36 On his birthday.

19:37 And Joel, happy birthday, May 2nd.

19:39 He's a May 2nd birthday as well.

19:40 Have a shout-out to The Rock and David Beckham.

19:42 Cool birthday.

19:43 It's a cool birthday.

19:44 Yeah, and I think the Queen, rest in peace.

19:46 I you know, I think she was also Joel Embiid though, he's got Hey.

19:51 He does like to wiggle.

19:52 When he does a little turn fade thing, when he's playing, it is unbelievable.

19:57 That's why I was pumped to see he chose America to play for for the Olympics.

20:00 Cuz we knew we were going to need him at some point.

20:02 What's that, Tone?

20:04 I Toxic Tone, you don't like that he chose

20:06 to be a part of the United States of America?

20:08 like that, but like I mean He's played for other countries before,

20:11 so I still don't understand how that works.

20:12 But you know, that's that's that's a me problem.

20:14 It's NIL, baby.

20:15 It's a basketball portal.

20:16 I'm just not I'm just not cultured enough.

20:18 Yeah, definitely.

20:20 Uh okay, let's move away from the NBA before we will revisit it shortly.

20:24 Um the NHL playoffs.

20:27 Okay.

20:28 We've told everybody that has ears and within earshot of these lips,

20:32 the NHL playoffs are worthy of a watch.

20:34 Okay?

20:35 These dudes are flying on blades that are this thin.

20:40 Broken everything happening in their body, you'll never hear about it.

20:43 Dangling, going crazy.

20:45 I mean, just so many storylines, legacies, legends,

20:47 everything being created in real time in one

20:50 death-defying feat of a sport, which is hockey.

20:53 It it is just outrageous what hockey is,

20:56 especially in the playoffs whenever these psychos

20:58 who are they have a daredevil mentality, all these hockey players.

21:02 These psychos are just like on a do

21:03 or die every single 40 seconds of their life, which is how long a shift it last.

21:07 They're just out there killing it.

21:10 Rest in peace all the teams that didn't survive first round.

21:13 A lot of a lot of good teams in there.

21:14 A lot of great teams in No, not not really.

21:16 No, a lot of really of great teams in there.

21:18 banged up, too.

21:19 A lot of a lot of a lot of great teams There was a lot of upsets.

21:23 Sure.

21:23 Four favorites moved on, four dogs moved on as far

21:27 as series pricing in the first round of the playoffs.

21:29 So, you never know what's going to happen tonight.

21:30 So, the NHL showing up in a big way.

21:32 Parity is what they call it.

21:34 Let's talk about the first game that we seen in the second round.

21:37 Okay, let's talk about Avalanche-Wild being wild on the ice.

21:40 Somebody goes 14 different goal scorers.

21:43 And if you don't like hockey, you have to like excitement.

21:46 How about there being 15 goals?

21:49 Let's go to the Wild and Avalanche, okay,

21:51 which became an immediate classic upon Avalanche goal, Samuel Linsky.

21:58 Boom!

22:01 Unbelievable from Linsky.

22:03 That's one nothing.

22:04 Colorado is considered the best team in hockey,

22:06 potentially best team of all time.

22:07 Two nothing.

22:08 JACK DRURY.

22:10 DRURY.

22:11 Let's go to continuing the first period.

22:14 Hey, Dangles cooks.

22:15 Saucy off the wall to himself.

22:17 Watch this replay.

22:18 Passes it off off the wall off the pad, sorry, to himself.

22:22 Let me go turn around, bounce it back.

22:24 Boom!

22:25 Lacking it.

22:25 Three nothing.

22:26 This team's going to murder the Minnesota Wild, right?

22:29 Yep.

22:29 This team's going to absolutely saw three nothing already in the first period.

22:32 MINNESOTA WILD, THAT was a cute story.

22:34 Welcome to the show.

22:35 What did Minnesota Wild say?

22:37 Well, you know, why don't we all relax just for a second?

22:40 Marcus Johansson.

22:42 3-1 now.

22:43 Still in the first period.

22:45 Let's go TO RYAN HARTMAN.

22:49 DRIVING ONE UNDERNEATH, takes a huge shot.

22:53 3-2.

22:54 Quinn Hughes, brother of Jackie Hughes,

22:56 THE HUGHES HOCKEY DYNASTY family cooks, sauces, goal time Hartman.

23:02 3 2 Colorado Avalanche as we continue here.

23:07 NICK BLANKENBURG OVER TWO STICKS,

23:15 OVER THE HILL through the tunnel RIGHT TO BLANKENBURG STICK.

23:20 NASTY 4 2 Colorado six goals still in the second 13 minutes left.

23:25 This is hockey all of a sudden they scored a touchdown.

23:29 Ladies and gentlemen Tarasenko off his skate

23:41 Named after Colorado Avalanche great Peter Forsberg.

23:44 Love the Forsberg goal right there in Colorado 4 3 Colorado.

23:48 Let's keep it moving here.

23:50 Quinn Hughes Get the goalie going back,

23:55 stops on a dime, cuts back, lefty sensation.

23:58 HE'S A DEFENSE BOOM!

24:01 CHAD GOAL JUST like he had a game winner in the semi-final of the Olympics.

24:05 4 3 4 4 now still in the second period.

24:10 We got eight goals going.

24:12 Marcus Foleedo Stops on a dime short-handed

24:19 goal and takes out the net immediately afterwards.

24:22 Short-handed goal, you know when short-handed

24:23 a power play you normally see fast breaks.

24:26 MARCUS SAYS I GOT YOU AND I'm going to take OUT YOUR NET PUNK.

24:29 5 4 STILL IN THE SECOND.

24:31 COLORADO was up 3 0 now they're behind by one.

24:34 What happens next?

24:35 Well how about Devin Toews Goal!

24:42 5 5 10 goals still in the second period here.

24:46 Still brewing.

24:48 Cale Makar first of two.

24:51 This will look very familiar maybe a little deja vu here in a few.

24:57 Nazem Kadri 6-5 still.

25:01 Are we PLAYING DEFENSE OR 14 MINUTES LEFT.

25:04 NO DEFENSE.

25:05 NO DEFENSE AT ALL.

25:06 WHO CARES?

25:07 7-5 STILL IN THE THIRD.

25:10 4:03 left.

25:11 Goalie is with a nasty backhand down there.

25:13 MATS ZUCCARELLO GOAL 7-6.

25:18 Now it's 13.

25:19 That's a touchdown.

25:20 Two touchdowns, one missed extra point.

25:22 Third period, 2:57 left.

25:24 Cale Makar once again from the same exact spot.

25:33 Cale Makar one of the goats they'll say.

25:34 Now what's the score?

25:36 OH, 8-6.

25:38 14 goals in the second round of the playoffs.

25:41 Let's send one in from behind our own blue line.

25:44 Nathan MacKinnon gets one on the empty net.

25:46 15 goals, 14 different goal scorers.

25:50 The overhits and the Avalanche win an insane game one against

25:55 the Minnesota Wild in the second round of the NHL playoffs.

25:58 If every game's going to be like that, let's go ahead let's have one.

26:00 Hey, let's have one.

26:01 Goalie's not seeing Defense not doing nothing.

26:05 Electrifying.

26:06 Are they changing the rules so that we doofuses can fall

26:09 in love with the offense and the excitement like the NFL did?

26:11 I certainly hope so.

26:12 This reminds me of like growing up and tuning in to Maguire

26:16 or Sosa or Bonds just going yard two or three times per game.

26:20 So yeah, maybe just keep you the goalie

26:22 standing on their feet and not their heads.

26:25 away from uh the NHL and it's electrifying second round

26:27 of the playoffs which started with the Avalanche and Wild.

26:30 Let's go to the NFL which is always a buzzing.

26:32 Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now from a commercial shoot, Adam Schefter.

26:37 What up, Schefter?

26:39 Gentlemen, what's going on?

26:40 Hey, how are you doing, man?

26:41 Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day.

26:43 What do you got going on?

26:44 You look great in that suit.

26:47 Thank you, Pat.

26:47 I appreciate that.

26:48 We are here doing a Masters

26:49 of the Universe commercial here in Bristol, Connecticut.

26:52 Okay, how many lines do you have?

26:55 So far, exactly to my capacity, zero.

26:59 Zero so far.

27:00 Are you just on your phone?

27:01 I've mastered them.

27:02 Yeah, you're Are you just on your phone in the back or what are you doing?

27:06 I am wielding a 25-lb sword to try to save the day.

27:10 And so far, I think I've succeeded.

27:13 So far.

27:14 Well done.

27:14 Thank you, Shefty.

27:15 Thank you, Shefty.

27:16 Okay, let's see if you can succeed in your regular job here,

27:19 which you've obviously crushed at.

27:20 The pick is in was phenomenal.

27:21 Were you miked up the entire night and have you watched the clips back

27:24 and kind of relived what the draft was and how crazy all of it went?

27:29 Well, I know that, you know, the funny part about that was someone had

27:32 mentioned to me that I might be doing it.

27:34 I'm like, "Okay, yeah, no problem.

27:36 Like, we'll we'll figure out what we can do." And the next thing I know,

27:38 an NFL Films shows up the day before and they're like, "Here,

27:41 we're going to wire you up and you'll be

27:43 wired for 2 straight days and we're going to be

27:45 following you in the in in in the uh

27:47 in your little pod." I'm like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa.

27:49 I Like, we never went over any of this and it

27:51 just kind of dropped on me at the last moment.

27:53 Nobody Nobody called to say this is what's happening." And uh I you know,

27:59 it's a little embarrassing.

28:00 I get very intense during these times like that.

28:02 It kind of comes through.

28:03 Um but they NFL Films does such a great job

28:08 with these shows and it's a real look behind the scenes,

28:12 a glimpse behind the curtain at what goes into these trades,

28:16 these picks, the choices that each team has.

28:19 Um I started to watch it last night.

28:21 Honestly, was captivated and then my family and I got diverted by some

28:25 dog issues and we will get back to it tonight or tomorrow.

28:28 Well, I'm sorry to hear that a bunch of dog issues.

28:30 Obviously, you understand uh how that all goes from our side.

28:33 So, positive vibes there.

28:35 Uh back to the pick is in.

28:37 Us watching it, um it was interesting cuz first we realized, "Oh,

28:41 Shefty was miked up that entire time we were talking to him backstage.

28:44 Fascinating." I think a lot of the boys

28:45 were trying to recalculate every convo they had.

28:47 I hope they had you on camera when you walked directly into the puddle

28:51 whenever George Pickens was intending to sign

28:54 with the franchise that with Cowboys which he to I got to say that.

28:58 I got to say that it was it was

28:59 that was shortly after I found out or at least was

29:04 of the mind that there was a real possibility

29:07 that night that the Rams were going to take Ty Simpson.

29:10 I got a call literally right before that and so

29:12 I was in my own element and I stepped right

29:13 into that puddle as I'm standing with you and who else

29:17 was Foster and Marcus Freeman Marcus Freeman yeah AJ was there right

29:21 exactly and so like I was in my own universe not

29:24 a master of my universe at that moment and just stepped

29:26 right into the puddle as I was processing the Ty Simpson

29:30 information and how it was going to play out that night.

29:32 I think you're a master in the universe in your own way.

29:34 I mean completely locked in oblivious to everything happening around you.

29:38 We appreciate you wielding the 25 lb sword for us today

29:40 in that commercial shoot that you're doing for the Masters of the Universe.

29:43 Let's talk about the stories of today in the NFL.

29:46 AJ Brown told a bunch of kids I love you.

29:48 Hey listen, I don't care what you hear just know that I love you.

29:52 Okay and just know that that's the case at his youth camp this past weekend.

29:55 First of all love that AJ Brown does a youth camp in Philadelphia.

29:59 Oh yeah.

29:59 Love that he does that.

30:00 Obviously everybody is presented with the opportunity to do as such.

30:03 The NFL has a great support system to be able to put these camps on for you.

30:07 Agencies have put on camps for people.

30:09 So just doing it and putting the effort

30:11 into doing it is something in of itself that should

30:13 warrant a little bit of a celebration to give

30:15 back to the next generation and to the community.

30:17 So I appreciate AJ Brown doing this camp because anybody can.

30:21 The fact that he does is sick.

30:22 Now let's get to what he said.

30:24 Hey that sounds a little bit like that it

30:26 sounds a little bit like a breakup potentially kind of.

30:29 Hey there's going to be some I don't care what they say.

30:31 All right.

30:32 Don't I love you.

30:33 Don't you worry about old Uncle AJ.

30:35 Coach AJ always love you.

30:37 They're going to say I said bad things about your city.

30:40 I it's not you.

30:42 Is that what that is or how should we view

30:43 this as he tells these uh youth campers that he appreciates everything?

30:47 Well, I think he knows where his future is headed at this moment and it'll

30:52 be a matter of the Patriots and the Eagles

30:56 getting together to basically process the trade,

30:59 finalize the trade, make sure it happens.

31:02 But, again, there's nothing that has transpired here uh despite all

31:06 the events in New England that has deterred this trade from coming off.

31:11 I still think it is on track.

31:13 I still think it's going to happen.

31:15 I still think it will involve a future one,

31:19 likely a 2028 first-round draft pick.

31:22 I still think all these elements are in place and I still think that once we

31:27 get to June that these two sides will

31:29 get together and complete a trade that'll send A.J.

31:32 Brown to the New England Patriots.

31:34 Now, again, this morning I was watching ESPN SportsCenter

31:37 early and they had a piece where they were were

31:40 doing their features on I scored a touchdown

31:41 in the Super Bowl and I saw that they had A.J.

31:43 Brown on this one they were featuring his touchdown in the Super Bowl.

31:46 I says, "Hi, I'm A.J.

31:47 Brown, Philadelphia Eagles." And I thought to myself,

31:49 they may have to edit that in about a month here coming up here.

31:53 That's what I think, but we'll see how it all plays out.

31:56 that you can't enjoy content.

31:57 You have to correct it.

31:58 I appreciate that.

31:58 I have a similar issue but I do like the fact that he they have it on tape,

32:03 you know, and he has a great history with the Eagles.

32:05 I mean, they did a great things together.

32:07 Hey, that was a great trade by the Eagles for him from the Titans.

32:09 What a turtle.

32:10 Okay, that was that was obviously worked out very well for both sides.

32:13 If it is over in June as if you have basically guaranteed and confirmed,

32:17 hell of a run, can't wait to see him in New England.

32:19 New England people need something to bring them up beat a little bit.

32:22 Lot of woah woah woah woah right now.

32:25 You know, got to wait till at least

32:26 June 1st if something's coming around the bend.

32:29 Let's talk about some other quick stories here as you

32:31 have an out in your to save the world soon.

32:33 Go ahead, Tone.

32:33 Yes, Shefty.

32:34 Now that the draft has cleared,

32:35 teams are starting to look at the free agents that were left over.

32:38 Njoku is visiting the Chargers.

32:40 Juwan Jennings last week was visiting the Vikings.

32:42 There's others out there.

32:43 Bosa, Stefon Diggs.

32:44 There's a lot of big names left.

32:46 With those ones, the first ones, Njoku and Juwan Jennings,

32:49 they let him out of the building.

32:50 So, does that mean he's not going to Minnesota?

32:52 What's the update on the latest big name free agents?

32:55 You know, those are some compelling names

32:58 and some players that can help some rosters.

33:00 And we're past the compensatory draft pick period.

33:03 So, now these players can sign with these teams and teams don't

33:06 have to worry about how it will impact their future compensatory draft pick.

33:10 So, I I would imagine you'll see some of these guys fall into place here.

33:13 As you mentioned, Njoku visiting the Chargers.

33:16 We had Juwan Jennings kicking off with the Vikings last week.

33:20 Uh it Uh these guys have waited for their number.

33:24 And the number in May is not going to be as attractive as they would like.

33:29 That That's the issue.

33:30 So, at what point do we get to a spot where the players say,

33:32 "Okay, I'm willing to live with what they're offering.

33:35 I'm comfortable enough with what's on the table to accept an offer

33:39 to move forward." And I think that's the process that all these players,

33:42 some big name players who could provide some real production,

33:45 are now going through.

33:46 And And all these guys will get jobs by and large,

33:49 I think, before training camp.

33:50 But, it'll come in drips and drabs is the way I would imagine it.

33:53 Oh, a couple drips and drabs.

33:55 Let's talk about some drips and drabs quickly as you have about 30 seconds.

33:58 Go ahead, Con Man.

33:59 Yeah, Chef, a very serious situation with Soursby.

34:01 And granted, you know, a lot of things have to happen.

34:03 But, let's say that he is cleared and you know,

34:06 he is able to enter the supplemental draft.

34:08 Do you think a lot of NFL teams would be interested in Soursby?

34:12 Did you get a read, especially around draft time?

34:14 Like, hey, there were already teams looking forward

34:17 to him being in the draft next year?

34:18 And what How How How do you see that situation playing out if he is,

34:22 you know, all the legal things are kind of done with?

34:26 Kind of glad you asked that question before I

34:27 had to go save the universe because to me

34:29 this is a really compelling storyline here that's going

34:32 to play out here in the next few weeks.

34:34 If his eligibility is not restored, and I don't know that it will be,

34:37 uh there's a real possibility that he

34:40 will then try to enter the supplemental draft.

34:43 And the last time I think a player has

34:44 been picked in the NFL supplemental draft was in 2019.

34:48 So, it's been a while since there's been a player who's picked.

34:51 And I do think that if he gets into the supplemental

34:54 draft and the league agrees to have a supplemental draft,

34:57 all questions that would have to be answered here in the coming weeks.

35:00 I think that we would get a team that uses a high pick,

35:05 a high pick on Brandon Soresby.

35:07 Now, I don't know whether that's going to be a first-round draft pick.

35:11 Interestingly enough, the New York Jets have three first-round draft picks.

35:14 But the way I understand it is if you're going to give up one of your ones,

35:19 that that could be the highest pick.

35:21 And so, I don't know that anybody in a draft that has this many

35:25 quarterbacks next year is going to be willing to give up its one.

35:28 That'll be a question.

35:29 But I absolutely think that once we get past round one,

35:33 if nobody did it there, put in for him,

35:35 uh I think we could absolutely see round two

35:39 somebody put in for a Soresby at that point down.

35:41 That would not surprise me.

35:42 And by the way, I wouldn't be floored if he went in the first round, either.

35:46 Like there are a lot of people that think he is a real talent,

35:50 uh a bonafide prospect.

35:52 And I I I think this is going to be one

35:54 of the great storylines that plays out here over the next couple of months.

35:58 Does he have his eligibility restored?

36:00 Does he enter the supplemental draft?

36:02 If he's in the supplemental draft, where is he going?

36:05 Cuz I think it's going to be fairly hot.

36:06 And what's the deadline again for the declaration?

36:11 Well, his agent was told by the league that it was June 30th.

36:15 The league has told me there's no deadline.

36:17 I think that it's such a rare

36:19 circumstance that nobody really has the actual answer.

36:22 They're still sorting through it,

36:23 but I would think here in the next 5-6 weeks he'll know.

36:27 and really that question will be answered.

36:29 He hired Jeffrey Kessler the Notre attorney.

36:31 If if he can get his eligibility restored not even a question or an issue

36:36 but if he can't and he's going to try to enter the supplemental draft.

36:39 We have to see if the league's going to have the supplemental draft.

36:42 I don't know what the deadline is the issue

36:44 but they'll figure out a way to get it worked out.

36:46 Well, deadline is certainly a thought if

36:48 the NCAA's involved cuz they don't move that quick.

36:50 If he was to with Jeffrey Kessler who wrapped Jordan I believe when he

36:55 took on NASCAR in this monopoly uh thing that was happening before the season.

36:59 I believe he's been a part of bounty gate.

37:01 I believe he's been a part of Jeffrey Kessler has experience in these waters

37:04 I do believe so hopefully he's able to expedite the entire process.

37:07 We'd like to let Sources be known though that if

37:08 he gets a fresh opportunity to go to the NFL

37:11 and this all this other stuff kind of just stops

37:13 if that's the case not a bad idea there either.

37:15 But hey, do you do your thing and we hope you get all

37:18 the help that you need going forward Sources because you're a hell of a talent.

37:20 We don't need you wasting it.

37:22 We need you on the field uh for at least 15 20 years.

37:25 That's how we feel about it all.

37:27 Look look at the last case that Jeffrey Kessler just won.

37:31 Look at the last case he just won.

37:32 The streaming movies case.

37:35 Uh that was him.

37:36 He he I He this guy he's the man.

37:41 Kind of gets it is what Schefter saying.

37:43 Well, now there's literally millions of dollars at stake

37:45 here for Sources be college or in the NFL.

37:48 You're the man.

37:49 Go save the universe ladies and gentlemen that's Adam Schefter.

37:52 Thank you Schefter for taking time.

37:54 Fascinating though because if he says he's no longer doing

37:58 the NCAA college then the NCAA investigation would stop, right?

38:03 Yeah, unless they have to do uh what's called where but he

38:05 couldn't even come back so they wouldn't even have to do

38:07 Yeah, they're show uh clause.

38:09 Horrible Yeah, cuz Harbaugh just what shot it down.

38:11 He can't give my phone and I'm going to Los Angeles.

38:14 Yeah.

38:14 Okay, well you can't coach in the NCAA for 10 more years.

38:16 Fine.

38:18 I mean that is literally right?

38:20 Yes.

38:20 To a T.

38:21 Yeah, we didn't really hear anything else after.

38:23 It's like Sources be could be the first player to be like what's that?

38:28 The NFL saying that I could decide today's the day.

38:30 All right.

38:31 Hey, let me see your phone.

38:32 Okay.

38:36 It is interesting for a team like the Jets

38:37 like Shefty was talking about that has three first rounds.

38:39 They're like yes, we'll do a first we'll do a supplemental we'll give it

38:42 away at one of our first for the 2027 draft, not the first one.

38:46 Maybe the third of the of our ones.

38:48 Yeah, yeah.

38:48 Can you designate your second first or your third first whenever you do it?

38:53 I'd assume it's all negotiable.

38:54 I think you know, hopefully he's getting

38:56 the help and got the help that he needed and that he's not going to be addicted

38:59 to this which it seems like he potentially is,

39:01 became part of his daily habit from what we learned and heard and saw.

39:04 We don't know anything about all of the details,

39:06 but we just know the vague stuff that's been out there.

39:08 Hopefully gets the help and if he gets another shot

39:10 to kind of reset his entire life and it is the league, congratulations man.

39:14 I hope you take them make the most of it.

39:15 Joining us now ladies and gentlemen is senior NBA insider Shams Charania.

39:19 Yeah.

39:21 Sham, sorry.

39:21 We talked a little bit there to kind of clear up the Shoresby stuff as we

39:24 wrapped it up because he could potentially just

39:26 walk out on an NCAA investigation it feels like,

39:29 but whatever ends up happening we know that we don't know.

39:33 We hope that the right thing is happening for Shoresby the human.

39:36 Now, let's move to the NBA.

39:38 You guys are already firing coaches, huh?

39:40 Orlando Magic take the number one overall seed,

39:42 Pistons to seven and all of a sudden we

39:45 say let's get this coach the hell out of here.

39:47 Is this just standard operating procedure immediately after

39:49 a loss you move on from your coach if that's

39:51 the decision you're going to make and how many

39:52 of these coaches should we see moving on probably?

39:55 I mean this is just the start I think of of different coaches that are

40:00 being under evaluation based on playoff outcomes

40:03 and this Magic team they went out and got Desmond Bane last off season

40:07 and they had expectations to contend in Eastern

40:09 Conference and then this year they lose

40:11 in the first round for the third straight year.

40:14 They were hovering around 500 at different points.

40:16 Uh Jamal Mosley had a lot of good that happened.

40:19 Two division titles went to the went to went to the playoffs

40:23 three consecutive years for the first time since 2011 in Orlando.

40:28 And listen, he's going to get another shot in the NBA.

40:31 He's going to get another look.

40:32 But this is a team that had accumulated a ton of expectation on this team.

40:37 Jeff Weltman, the president who we just saw right there,

40:40 he actually got extended during the season right before the NBA Cup final four.

40:44 So he's going to lead the coaching search

40:47 for the next head coach of the Orlando Magic.

40:49 But around Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs,

40:53 Desmond Bane, this has this team has aspirations to contend.

40:57 The problem is, especially those three guys, Suggs, Banchero,

41:01 and Wagner have played about 20% of their games

41:04 the last two to three years together.

41:05 And that is going to be an issue whether

41:07 it's for Jamal Mosley or the next head coach.

41:09 Wagner getting hurt against the Pistons was a big

41:12 part of the storyline of the Pistons coming back.

41:14 A lot of people are saying maybe Dusty

41:16 Maye gets poached out of Michigan down to Orlando.

41:18 Thibodeau potentially a name being involved.

41:20 And how do these coaching searches normally go?

41:22 Is are we going to hear all

41:24 the names that we potentially just think are available?

41:27 We're still very early on this on this process.

41:30 Anyone that knows anything about Orlando, they're going to keep things you know,

41:34 very buttoned up in terms of this is now the start of the process.

41:38 They've they fired Jamal Mosley.

41:40 There was a point that I heard over the last few weeks that even though a lot

41:45 of people around the NBA expected this outcome if

41:47 the Magic were to lose in the first round,

41:49 no real names had surfaced or there was

41:52 not that back channel conversation that took place.

41:55 But now Jeff Weltman and the Magic will be going through their search.

41:59 I mean, listen, there's going to be a ton of names that get thrown around.

42:02 I particularly don't see Dusty Maye.

42:05 I think he has a good thing going at Michigan.

42:07 I would expect probably this search to focus

42:11 on guys with with experience at the head coaching position,

42:14 guys that have had a level of success in in the playoffs,

42:17 taking teams deep, cuz that's really if you're trying to compete and contend,

42:21 that's really what you're looking for.

42:23 Okay, let's go to the medical tent.

42:24 D-Butt?

42:24 Absolutely.

42:25 Some franchise players, you some health updates on Ant-Man,

42:29 Joel Embiid, and Luka Dončić potentially coming back.

42:33 Yeah, Anthony Edwards just insane.

42:35 An absolute Wolverine.

42:36 Today's 9 days to the day he had a bone bruise hyperextension in his left knee.

42:42 And I'm told today he is pushing the the Timberwolves, their medical staff.

42:47 He wants to play tonight.

42:48 He has made it clear to the Timberwolves.

42:51 The Timberwolves internally didn't expect him to really

42:54 be a viable candidate to play in a game until game three or game four when

42:58 the series shifts back to Minnesota this upcoming weekend.

43:02 But Anthony Edwards got a workout in on Saturday.

43:05 He got in a couple, you know, at least one workout on his own as well privately.

43:09 He worked out on Sunday with the team.

43:11 He has not gone through a full practice.

43:14 Today he participated in a significant He

43:16 he did most everything at shootaround today, drills with the first team.

43:21 And so he hasn't gotten the full clearance from the team's medical staff.

43:24 But Anthony Edwards right now as of this moment is pushing the team and he

43:28 wants to play tonight in game one as this series starts in San Antonio.

43:33 9 days Yeah.

43:35 to the to to the exact day he had this this gruesome looking injury.

43:39 Yeah, and his knee it was disgusting.

43:40 I mean I I didn't even want to show it on this show.

43:42 I said, "No, we're not showing it cuz of how disgusting it was." I don't

43:44 know how he didn't tear break I don't know how any of none of that happened.

43:47 Absolutely phenomenal athlete and uh what a stud

43:51 if he's ever to make his way back.

43:52 Okay, let's talk about some of the other guys that he mentioned there.

43:54 Joel Embiid, can we talk about him?

43:56 He's his resurgence back into uh my life has been fun cuz

44:00 they're recirculating all the hits from Joel Embiid both as a Twitter star.

44:05 I mean he was one of the greatest

44:06 tweeters in the history of Twitter and obviously

44:09 as he's grown older I think he's kind

44:10 of fallen out of just demoralizing and ruining people online.

44:14 I think he's more so focused on other stuff but Tyrese Maxey's unbelievable.

44:17 Paul George is having a second coming.

44:19 It feels like the Sixers are real.

44:21 Is Joel Embiid going to be able to maintain down the stretch and are

44:24 the Sixers a true threat in the eyes of everybody else left for sure, right?

44:29 You you you have to be especially the way Joel Embiid's

44:31 playing and and what's crazy is you're seeing him adapt his game.

44:34 He's changed his game.

44:35 He was known as this brute force

44:37 scorer but he's spending time at three-point line.

44:39 He's play making.

44:40 He just for him to be on the court him at 70-80%

44:44 of what Joel Embiid is known for is better than most players.

44:48 I mean even you know, period.

44:49 They're 100%.

44:50 So Joel Embiid is seems to be healthy.

44:53 He's listed probable to play tonight.

44:55 Um it you know, in game one.

44:58 So the expectation obviously is that he plays.

45:01 Um but the the run that Philadelphia was on and I just

45:04 think about everything Joel Embiid has

45:06 been through throughout his playoff career.

45:08 He's dealt with ligament damages in his knee.

45:10 He's dealt with ligament damages in his fingers and thumbs.

45:14 He's dealt with Bell's palsy on his face.

45:16 He's dealt with orbital fractures.

45:18 He has had every injury you can possibly imagine

45:22 on the human body all around the playoff time.

45:25 Some some of them he's got it out.

45:26 Some of them he's not been able to gut out and this year even in that game

45:31 in game seven he looked like he hyperextended

45:33 his knee multiple times and he played through it.

45:36 He came back just two weeks after an appendectomy.

45:38 Just for him to play obviously for them that gives them a chance.

45:42 Yeah, hell yeah.

45:43 Can't wait to watch it.

45:43 We've been trusting the process long time.

45:46 Long time over there.

45:47 Got to go metal though.

45:48 Got to go metal.

45:49 Excited to see it kind of get to the mountain top.

45:51 Now let's talk about the Lakers.

45:52 They got to take on obviously the mountain right now.

45:55 Luka going to be back this series.

45:57 Where are expectations on Dončić playing basketball?

46:01 Yeah, Luka Dončić all expectation is he's going to be out to start the series.

46:05 My understanding as of yesterday, he hadn't done full-fledged contact work,

46:09 full-fledged like really you know unabated running like he's

46:15 he hasn't gone full-fledged yet when it comes to that.

46:18 And so obviously you have to be able to run fully, do some contact workouts,

46:22 one-on-one, two-on-two, whatever in order to be able to play in games.

46:26 I know one-on-one, two-on-two.

46:28 Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

46:29 WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME IN THE CALENDAR, I don't think.

46:31 If he's not doing any If he's not do that If he's not doing one-on-zero

46:35 have played.

46:37 Two and a half men.

46:37 The Ant Ant I'm not you know Ant is is doing these full hard workouts,

46:43 individual workouts.

46:44 And then he's just like I got It's playoff basketball.

46:49 It's you know to be able to run and play Get all off season to get better.

46:53 even if even if individual you're you're able to run with no limitations,

46:58 I think maybe then you're just like hey I'm playing.

47:00 I don't I don't care what you say.

47:02 Okay.

47:02 We we know Luka's a dog, too.

47:04 We know Luka's a dog, too.

47:05 We know he'll have a beer immediately out We know he's a dog.

47:08 I will also say the hamstring is a little

47:10 bit different than you know a twisted knee per se.

47:14 Like if you're dealing with a bone bruise,

47:15 hyperextension, some things are pain tolerance.

47:17 If a hamstring if you're not able to pull

47:19 push off your leg with a soft tissue injury, that can also be different.

47:22 Yeah, I mean hammies hammies just decide, too.

47:26 They kind of pick and choose when you're coming back, when you're not, yeah.

47:28 And if you're just not far enough back and you decide to go,

47:31 the hamstring will punish you.

47:33 It'll say yeah, actually we're going to continue

47:34 to do this, which is always the fear.

47:36 Can't live in your fears,

47:37 but you do have to make decision for yourself and your team.

47:41 We appreciate you joining us Shams, you're the man.

47:44 Appreciate you guys.

47:45 Thank you.

47:45 Is Giannis getting traded or Uh ask me next time.

47:52 Ask me next time.

47:53 We're not there yet.

47:54 Is Jaylen Brown getting traded?

47:55 Is he getting suspended?

47:56 Is Jaylen Brown going to be

47:56 in trouble because he's streaming saying Good stream.

48:02 Pat, I do I do I do expect the league to look into this situation.

48:06 I do.

48:07 Tell Yeah, tell them to subscribe.

48:08 Tell them to send some subs, actually.

48:10 Tell the NBA to look into it and subscribe.

48:12 We appreciate them doing that, ladies and gentlemen.

48:14 That's uh Shams Charania.

48:16 Bring the bell, NBA.

48:18 You're going to want to at least Yeah.

48:20 Sub.

48:20 At least gift some subs.

48:21 You're a league.

48:22 Geez.

48:23 Got to have enough.

48:24 He He They just going to hop right on there.

48:26 Yeah, it was a big time just shut up.

48:29 You didn't You didn't like it?

48:30 What are you talking about?

48:31 Like give it a week, maybe.

48:33 Like to just go over Sorry, new home.

48:35 New home.

48:35 Trying to figure it out.

48:37 Geez Louise.

48:38 Chair was a little low.

48:40 I think Ty likes his feet to ride a little high.

48:42 Yeah.

48:42 Yeah, he always got his feet up.

48:43 Kind of does his little thing.

48:44 We got the We got the things.

48:45 We got the Ladies and gentlemen,

48:46 let's continue with the NBA conversation with a man who is

48:49 one of four players to win a title with three different teams.

48:52 The Spurs, the Raptors, the Lakers.

48:54 He was a second round that I was at North Carolina.

48:56 An NCAA champion.

48:58 Ladies and gentlemen, a one-time all-defense team, which we like.

49:02 Yes, we do.

49:04 Bob Wood.

49:05 Yeah.

49:05 Hell yeah.

49:06 He's probably He's done it at the Cameron, too.

49:08 Oh, so many times.

49:08 One of the best ever.

49:09 Ooh, ladies and gentlemen, Danny Green.

49:13 Is this Hey.

49:14 What's up, guys?

49:14 How you guys doing?

49:15 Does this wood look familiar to you?

49:17 Huh?

49:17 Is this Is this at Cameron?

49:19 Oh, yeah.

49:20 Yeah.

49:22 Uh had some good nights in Cameron.

49:24 I was fortunate enough to have a good team.

49:25 Had a good team.

49:26 Yeah, absolutely.

49:26 Hey, you're a part of a good team, Danny.

49:28 Thank you for joining us,

49:29 and we don't feel as if you're going to die at any second.

49:32 You know, last time when you were joining us,

49:33 my anxiety our anxiety through the roof.

49:36 We know you're a talented driver.

49:37 We know you understand awareness and everything like that, but at any moment,

49:41 if somebody was high, we would have felt terrible.

49:43 So, thank you for rescheduling here for us.

49:45 I appreciate you guys making work making it work for me.

49:48 Yeah, no problem at all.

49:49 Okay, let's Let's a little bit about Anthony Edwards here.

49:51 Shams just told that he is doing everything in his power to play

49:54 just 9 days after a hyper-extension of his knee that caused a bone bruise.

49:58 Whenever you see a player like Anthony Edwards,

50:00 his dog mentality is like the only way I can kind of describe it.

50:04 What do you think that means to his team and what do you

50:05 think this means to science if he's able to recover this quickly, Danny?

50:09 Uh I think it means more to his team than to science.

50:12 Um you know, like I said,

50:13 I heard you guys talking about the Luka thing and and him I said his is not

50:17 as serious of a tendon issue as more

50:20 of a bruise and how much pain he can endure.

50:22 So, I mean I think it means the world to his team.

50:24 Like his team knows that he's not leaving him out there.

50:27 You know, we've seen other cases where guys have had

50:29 some injuries where people might question it and they're like,

50:31 you know, where's he at?

50:32 Why is he not on the bench or why is he not working out with the team?

50:35 Um you know, he's actually been around the group

50:37 and wanting to try to give it a go and but we know how much of a difference

50:41 it makes for that group when he's on the floor.

50:43 His numbers against the Spurs this year I think pretty astronomical

50:46 compared to the rest of the season or against other teams.

50:50 So, it would make a a big difference in the series if he can play.

50:53 Even if he does play and is 100% healthy,

50:55 I don't know I'd still probably give the edge to the Spurs,

50:58 but he definitely could make it uh he could change that narrative.

51:02 You want a title there?

51:02 Do you have to say that?

51:03 You feel obligated, yeah?

51:05 No, I don't.

51:08 Not at all?

51:08 You don't cuz that's three teams.

51:09 You're one of four players in history to win with three different teams.

51:11 Do you feel obligations to represent for each team individually?

51:16 No, I mean I I'm I I try to be not biased.

51:19 Again, when I was talking to Toronto-Cleveland series,

51:21 I played for both those teams.

51:23 And I'm probably more tied to Toronto than I am

51:25 Cleveland and I said Cleveland would win in in seven games.

51:28 So, yeah.

51:28 I I'm not tied.

51:29 I don't feel like I need to say it like that.

51:31 Yeah, I'm just studying the game.

51:33 There's proof.

51:33 Nobody Spider is incredible to watch, by the way.

51:36 Every time it's comes playoff time, I think to myself, man,

51:39 maybe I should watch Cavaliers games during the regular season and then

51:42 I immediately remember there's no way I'd be able to do that ever.

51:45 So, I I kind of get bummed out about it.

51:47 But, he is a special player, fun to watch, dog mentality,

51:51 you talk about it, he has it obviously in bunches.

51:54 I I appreciate the fact that tonight on NBC we have two bangers,

51:58 76ers at Knicks at 8:00 and then 9:30 Wolves at Spurs.

52:03 That's going to be a late one,

52:03 but obviously the Wemby Anthony Edwards show will be worth it.

52:07 Let's talk about the 76ers and Knicks.

52:09 76ers just knock out the Boston Celtics in such a beautiful fashion,

52:14 you know, the 76ers are coming, the 76ers are coming.

52:16 One if by land, two if by sea.

52:19 And he would be playing his Joel Embiid.

52:21 Now, what are the chances here that the 76ers are able to continue to go here?

52:25 And is this the Knicks best path to continue

52:28 to move forward to try to win a championship?

52:32 Yeah, I think this is their best go, but it's not going to be easy one.

52:35 This is a tough one.

52:36 It all depends on how healthy Joel is.

52:38 He was pretty banged up in the series of Boston

52:41 and got even more banged up toward the end of that series,

52:44 you know, he took a shot to the knee, ankle, like a couple people landed on him.

52:47 Obviously, he's kind of on the floor a lot, so that doesn't help.

52:52 And Tyrese Maxey has been playing at a high level.

52:53 Paul George, another guy that's kind of re-emerged

52:56 himself and looking like a younger PG.

52:58 So, those guys have been playing well.

53:00 V.J.

53:00 Edgecombe has been hooping some, but it's really going to rely on how healthy,

53:03 you know, Joel is matching up with Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson.

53:08 Like those two guys have really dictated the series

53:12 because of how they control the boards and and rebounds.

53:14 And then, you know, it's going to be a challenge for their wings,

53:16 but if Joel is healthy, they have a pretty good shot.

53:19 They went to seven games two years ago, you know, with the same kind of group.

53:22 That shows you how powerful that Joel is and Tyrese Maxey are as a duo.

53:26 I I would love to see the 76ers go just for the Philadelphia fans.

53:31 Yeah.

53:31 Cuz this 76ers team has been hyped for what, 10 years now?

53:33 Long process.

53:35 Right?

53:35 Hasn't it not been?

53:36 They've made a lot of moves in and out to try to hype it up even more.

53:39 Paul George going over there was a massive ordeal.

53:41 Now, it's just like Paul George is on Joel and Tyrese Maxey's team,

53:45 which is a crazy even thought and all because Paul George can rattle off what?

53:48 15 straight if he really gets going in the middle of it.

53:51 Good for Philly.

53:52 Good for the Sixers fans.

53:53 Good for Embiid, too, you know?

53:55 Seriously.

53:55 Yeah, they needed They definitely needed it.

53:57 Embiid's been embattled, you know, and beating the Celtics is obviously special.

54:00 Let's go to the West here with obviously a potential dynasty in the making.

54:04 Go ahead, D But.

54:05 Yeah, obviously this Lakers-Thunder series it always starts with LeBron.

54:08 You beat him in the finals, you won the finals with him.

54:11 What is it about him on this level and then what makes OKC so great,

54:17 so great of a team and then how do you see this series going?

54:21 Uh what makes OKC so great is I mean they have they have a great defense,

54:25 but it's it's it starts with their their collective chemistry.

54:29 Like off the court, on the court, they actually enjoy playing together.

54:33 You know, they've been together for a couple years.

54:34 You don't see that often in the NBA, like where now even in college because NIL.

54:38 The teams that went far in the tournament,

54:40 the teams that had juniors and seniors that been together three or four years,

54:42 like this group has been together for a couple years now.

54:45 They have some experience, they have championship DNA.

54:48 They have a leader in Shai, one of the best players in the world,

54:50 if not the best player in the world.

54:52 And the only thing that Lakers have

54:54 a chance cuz Jalen Williams is out, but Bron,

54:56 he always gives you a chance and now you have

54:58 Austin Reaves back and they're also playing together as a collective.

55:00 That's the reason why everybody counted them out against Houston,

55:02 but that's the reason why they beat Houston because guys like Marcus Smart,

55:06 Luke Kennard stepping up and toward the end of the season

55:08 that last month they really came together and bonded defensively, offensively.

55:12 And they're used to playing without guys

55:14 cuz all year long they've had Austin out, Luke out, and Bron out.

55:17 So, they they know what it what it's like, what it takes,

55:19 and who needs to step up when one of those guys goes down.

55:22 So, it's going to be a fun series.

55:24 Still give the edge OKC.

55:26 See, I'm not biased.

55:27 I'm a Laker, but I'm I'm going to give

55:29 the edge OKC and I think this probably goes,

55:32 you know, I I like to see it go six games.

55:34 Six games, okay.

55:36 You like OKC in six.

55:37 I watched that Oklahoma City team do what they did

55:39 last year to kind of start this entire uh crazy pace.

55:43 And then we ran into Caruso at one

55:45 of the college game days and he was like Yeah,

55:47 and I was like, "How are you guys doing?" He's like,

55:49 "Uh yeah, we've lost like two games or something like that." Like,

55:52 "What?" Like, this Oklahoma City team just been dominant right from jump, Danny.

55:56 Is it Is it a clear head and shoulders

55:58 difference between them and every other team throughout the season

56:00 and everything or do they have some faults

56:02 that maybe LeBron James will be able to figure out?

56:05 They are vulnerable.

56:07 Um they were head and shoulders start season.

56:09 They started off like 24 and one, but since then, you know,

56:12 there's another team that they're not playing right

56:13 now out west that kind of had their number.

56:15 But they shown some vulnerability, but toward the end of the season Shai

56:18 has just been on a tear even without J-Dub.

56:20 And I think that's where it's like they have injuries.

56:22 There've been guys in and out of lineup,

56:23 so that's where they showed some vulnerability.

56:26 Um and I guess they weren't great at shooting from the perimeter.

56:29 So we'll see it you know, obviously the game is about makes and misses

56:32 and who's going to shoot well from the perimeter,

56:33 but defensively, um I think that's where the difference is

56:36 and that's why uh Oklahoma City is favored to win the championship.

56:40 That's right, Danny.

56:41 in the past, you know, three, four years.

56:43 That's right, Danny.

56:43 Absolutely.

56:44 As you got out there, I finished your thoughts.

56:45 I think you said something differently than I said,

56:47 but we both kind of got to the same place at the same time.

56:50 LeBron James, fun fact, same age as both head coaches in this series.

56:54 Same age as JJ and Dags.

56:57 Uh so shout out to LeBron.

56:58 Another head coach on the floor.

57:00 You know, that's kind of how it's always been chatted about.

57:02 I love that the NBA is crushing.

57:04 I love that the ratings are all the way up into the right.

57:07 Now, I also like that there's some drama brewing, Danny.

57:10 Former player, obviously multiple time champion,

57:12 now one of the talking heads of sport.

57:13 Can't wait to get your thoughts on all this.

57:15 Go ahead, Con man.

57:16 Yeah, Danny, you're talking about Jaylen Brown going live on Twitch.

57:18 As a Celtics fan, I appreciate the access you

57:21 get and then at a certain time it's like, "Hey,

57:23 when you say your favorite season of basketball was the season that you played

57:27 without Jason Tatum." That kind of rubs

57:29 some fans the wrong way, myself included.

57:32 Uh he did mention in there kind of talking about how,

57:35 you know, the NBA has a flopping problem.

57:37 Like Joel Embiid flops, he know he flops,

57:40 but at the same time he also knows it's going to help them win and, you know,

57:44 basically help his team.

57:46 Um the same conversation goes on with SGA who we were just talking about,

57:50 you know, kind of knowing your spots and just knowing how the game is called.

57:53 What is kind of your entire take about the whole entire kind of flopping thing?

57:57 I know a couple years back they tried

57:59 to change it where kind of the landing zone,

58:02 where if it wasn't an unnatural shooting motion,

58:05 uh and you did that, then it wasn't actually a foul.

58:07 That kind of seems to have dwindled

58:09 to the back and that it's is getting called again.

58:12 Um how do you think they fix it and can they fix it?

58:15 Uh I think they can fix it.

58:17 Well, first I want to say I'm I think Jaylen Brown had an unbelievable

58:20 season and I don't think he met

58:21 meant his favorite season was without Jayson Tatum.

58:24 I think it was as a collective they had a great season

58:26 as a group and adding him at the end of the year.

58:29 He said it twice, Danny.

58:30 It's his feelings.

58:32 He's allowed to feel how he feel.

58:34 So am I.

58:35 They showed a lot of character and he had his best

58:37 season and this was a team that had no expectations before

58:40 the beginning of the season and they changed that narrative

58:42 and those expectations throughout the season because of how well they played.

58:45 Uh but he's right, he's not wrong.

58:47 I just think the timing was wrong.

58:48 Like great message, great messenger, wrong timing.

58:51 Like right after game seven, you know,

58:53 you probably wait a little wait a little bit of time,

58:55 but there is a flopping issue and that and as a defensive person,

58:58 like I'm more biased toward the defense.

59:00 I would like to see the defense have more, you know,

59:02 abilities allowed to play it, you know, and be more physical.

59:06 Only certain teams, certain players are allowed to, but there's a way

59:09 to cut out the foul baiting and a great players will adjust,

59:11 they'll still be great,

59:12 they'll still find ways to score and still get to the free throw line,

59:15 but there is a flopping problem and they they they can change it.

59:18 They emphasize, you know,

59:19 the the beginning of the season the flopping where they called technicals,

59:22 they haven't done that in a long time.

59:24 So there is a way to change it.

59:25 The referees have to referee the game differently and I mean,

59:28 we'll see if that ever happens, but there is a flopping issue in our league

59:31 and it kind of I think deteriorates the product when you

59:34 have to see so many free throws throughout the game

59:36 when you're just trying to watch the flow of the game,

59:37 but it's definitely doable,

59:39 something you can change and I I don't think he's wrong.

59:41 James Harden was back on his yesterday.

59:43 It was awesome.

59:44 It was great to see.

59:45 IT IT'S LIKE IF BOB ROSS was to come back from heaven and start painting again,

59:50 you would you would have to watch it.

59:52 James Harden had a classic from half court.

59:55 Guy accidentally puts his hand out.

59:58 But shooting a three, shoots three free throws, gets to 18 points.

1:00:01 Okay, it's fourth quarter.

1:00:02 It's like he's definitely getting to 20.

1:00:04 Everybody on the court should have known that.

1:00:06 He gets right past half court, two guys on him.

1:00:08 He literally bounces off a guy,

1:00:10 dives out of bounds, spears the coach into the crowd.

1:00:14 Okay, there's the technical foul.

1:00:15 Gets two more, ordered 20.

1:00:17 Fourth quarter.

1:00:18 It was spectacular to watch.

1:00:21 I think he's the first one I think of whenever

1:00:22 I go back to like being able to get it now.

1:00:25 Manipulating.

1:00:25 Baiting.

1:00:26 Yeah, he was so good at I mean, it was Yeah.

1:00:29 And then it was He's He's He's a master class.

1:00:31 He was one of the first guys to kind

1:00:33 of know how to manipulate the game a little bit.

1:00:36 But I would say he was a guy that got hit quite a bit.

1:00:39 They stopped calling it for him,

1:00:40 but there was other guys like Trae Young that knew how to stop jump backwards.

1:00:43 They changed rules for certain guys.

1:00:44 You know, Jalen Brunson's in there,

1:00:46 SGA is in there, even Luka, Jokic, Joel Embiid.

1:00:49 Like there's a lot of guys in there.

1:00:50 And the stars they could say about every MVP that's won MVP cuz they

1:00:54 got a lot of free throws and their argument was you can't touch them.

1:00:57 It's a skill to know how to draw fouls,

1:00:59 but also be that good where guys can't stop

1:01:01 you and have to foul you a lot of times.

1:01:02 But James is one of the originators and that's how he was one of the best

1:01:07 scorers in this game cuz he also knew how to get to the free throw line.

1:01:09 Yeah, he was unbelievable.

1:01:10 And if you didn't guard him, he was going to make the shot.

1:01:12 So you he kind of got you in a spot where you got it you're damned if you do,

1:01:16 damned if you don't.

1:01:17 Action for shooting three.

1:01:18 Thank you so much.

1:01:19 You're the best, ladies and gentlemen.

1:01:20 That's Danny Green.

1:01:23 Hey, get this guy half court, accidentally puts his hands out.

1:01:27 You're done.

1:01:27 Yep, that's it.

1:01:28 It's tough.

1:01:29 Shoot that.

1:01:29 Thing hits off the side of the backboard.

1:01:31 Hour two on the other side, be a friend,

1:01:33 tell a friend something nice, might change your life.

1:04:38 talking about happenings in the sports world.

1:04:40 It is meant to be comedic and formative.

1:04:43 The opinions expressed on this show do

1:04:45 not necessarily reflect the beliefs of their peers,

1:04:49 their boss, or ESPN.

1:04:51 There may be some cuss words because that's how humans in the real world talk.

1:04:56 If you are a young, please seek permission before watching any further.

1:05:03 Hey.

1:05:04 Dwayne.

1:05:05 Let's go.

1:05:08 This show stinks, and the fact that you listen, we are very,

1:05:11 very thankful That could be all the line with a gorgeous assist.

1:05:15 The all-time leading tackler for the Green Bay Packers.

1:05:18 You pay.

1:05:22 DAMN IT.

1:05:23 TELL YOUR FRIEND TO TELL A FRIEND SOMETHING NICE.

1:05:24 Could change your life.

1:05:31 Hello, beautiful people.

1:05:33 And welcome back to our humble abode, the Thunderdome.

1:05:37 On this magical Overreaction Monday.

1:05:39 May 4, 2026.

1:05:41 Hour two of this program begins.

1:05:42 No.

1:05:44 Score.

1:05:45 are the greatest and we're so incredibly lucky that we

1:05:47 get a chance to chat about it every single day.

1:05:49 Thanks to you.

1:05:51 We have no idea why you watch, but we appreciate that you do.

1:05:54 Mhm.

1:05:54 The fact that you spend time with us is kind of baffling,

1:05:56 but we are eternally grateful for it.

1:05:59 Hopefully, you'll continue to do as such as we

1:06:01 continue to about everything happening in the wonderful sports world.

1:06:04 The Toxic Table's here, but looks a little bit different at Boston Connor.

1:06:07 Sitting next to Toxic Tone.

1:06:09 And now Ty Schmidt celebrating life.

1:06:11 We appreciate you, Ty.

1:06:14 Ty.

1:06:13 Nine-year NFL vet Darius J.

1:06:15 Butler's here.

1:06:15 Sweet hoodie, D.

1:06:16 Yes, sir.

1:06:16 Thank you.

1:06:17 Uh someone sent it to the Thunderdome a few

1:06:19 months back around Veteran's Day, so uh thank you.

1:06:22 Shout out to you.

1:06:23 Yeah, shout out to your uh dad as well.

1:06:25 And shout out to shout out to your family.

1:06:27 Shout out to the vets.

1:06:27 Shout out to everybody that sends something to the Thunderdome.

1:06:30 And just know that it's about a 10% hit rate Mhm.

1:06:33 on whether or not It's in the 10%.

1:06:36 for a reason.

1:06:36 Boom.

1:06:37 For a reason.

1:06:38 Hell yeah.

1:06:38 But not everything makes it through.

1:06:40 Obviously, we have gates outside, so whenever delivery shows up,

1:06:43 it doesn't make it past gate,

1:06:44 then it goes into a purgatory world that we don't know where it is.

1:06:46 Some things get in, some things are not really boxed that well,

1:06:49 so they kind of just blend in with everything else, and they never get seen.

1:06:52 Some things have incredible boxes.

1:06:54 For instance, Kenny Wood sent me a sign that I Oh, did that.

1:06:57 Can we unwrap that?

1:06:58 That's a classy organization.

1:06:59 Yeah, another sign, another a I don't know if you saw a slew of polos.

1:07:04 Love that.

1:07:05 Yeah, I got a curtain polos.

1:07:07 Oh, the ones we didn't pick up.

1:07:08 What?

1:07:09 They just sent them in the mail.

1:07:10 I like that.

1:07:10 I respect that move.

1:07:11 I'm assuming whatever you got looks just like that thing.

1:07:14 By the way right What's that?

1:07:16 That I mean you see it right there right now bottom left on the See the logo?

1:07:19 on the screen.

1:07:19 It's fantastic.

1:07:21 Double down.

1:07:21 Maybe sent a bigger one.

1:07:22 Made it impossible to get out of the box.

1:07:24 I loved it.

1:07:25 Yeah, I loved everything about it.

1:07:26 Unboxing these things is certainly a problem and if

1:07:28 we do get um if we do get uh just

1:07:32 a little bit it's like whenever you're golfing

1:07:34 and a ball goes into the rough turf and it disappears.

1:07:38 We've all seen it here, right?

1:07:39 I'm done looking for it.

1:07:40 It's all in this area.

1:07:41 I'll drop it here, okay?

1:07:42 If it's hard to find, we're moving on.

1:07:44 Oh, yeah.

1:07:45 The box is tough to open, we move on.

1:07:47 Toss it.

1:07:48 Well, you got to package things with care.

1:07:50 No, I understand, but I don't need 50 Well,

1:07:53 wraps of tape around that thing, okay?

1:07:55 Both sides, triple sides.

1:07:57 Don't need that.

1:07:58 Maybe it's a it's a glass Fabergé Kenny wood sign.

1:08:02 You know what?

1:08:03 You're right.

1:08:03 Thank you so much.

1:08:04 Now I see it.

1:08:04 It's yellow wood right there and it's still wrapped up cuz of all the damn tape.

1:08:08 I'm not just talking about the incredible sign here.

1:08:09 I'm talking about everything that comes in here.

1:08:10 We're very grateful for it,

1:08:11 but just know that it is hit or miss on whether or not

1:08:13 it makes its way into us and whether or not we see it.

1:08:15 But if you send it in, we appreciate you.

1:08:16 If you watch, I appreciate that.

1:08:18 And that hoodie is awesome.

1:08:19 Thank you to your dad and to all veterans out there.

1:08:20 Joining us now is an a man who has led a franchise in tackling.

1:08:27 For how many years now?

1:08:29 Uh I just Hurley was doing it back then or forever.

1:08:33 Since him?

1:08:34 How long has he been leading it for?

1:08:35 Probably 7, 8 years, 10 years?

1:08:37 That was probably 2015 when you're 2014.

1:08:40 He's been retired 10 years.

1:08:41 And he probably got it before he So maybe 2012.

1:08:44 13, 14, 15 years.

1:08:46 This guy's been the all-time leading tackler

1:08:48 for the Green Bay Packers for 15 years.

1:08:50 Easily.

1:08:50 Wow.

1:08:51 Yeah.

1:08:52 Isn't that crazy?

1:08:53 Yeah.

1:08:53 And the next closest, the guy who's kind of chasing him down,

1:08:57 he's signed with the Raiders.

1:08:58 So it looks like there's going to be another Restart the clock.

1:09:01 Yeah, restart it.

1:09:02 Oh, man who's going to be the all-time leading tackler

1:09:05 for the Green Bay Packers for at least two more generations.

1:09:07 A college football national champion, Super Bowl champion,

1:09:10 Ryder Cup winner, ladies and gentlemen, A.J.

1:09:11 Hawk.

1:09:13 Oh, good haircut today on A.J.

1:09:17 Hawk.

1:09:17 How are you, pal?

1:09:19 I'm doing great.

1:09:19 How are you guys doing?

1:09:20 Life is all right.

1:09:21 Life is good over here, you know?

1:09:22 Daughter's birthday today.

1:09:23 Happy birthday to McKenzie.

1:09:24 I appreciate everybody's well wishes and being kind to me over the weekend.

1:09:28 All the happy birthday wishes I got.

1:09:29 A.J.

1:09:30 It was good for my soul to see the nice things, you know?

1:09:32 Usually I hate these things.

1:09:33 I get really uncomfortable.

1:09:35 People are saying really nice stuff to me.

1:09:36 I needed it, you know?

1:09:37 Life had been lifeing pretty good there for a bit and people are super kind.

1:09:40 So, I'm very grateful for that.

1:09:42 Birthdays are nice, man.

1:09:43 You know, perspective is normally something

1:09:45 that can only come from a devastating situation.

1:09:48 I thought about this this morning more so than maybe ever,

1:09:51 especially with McKenzie's uh third birthday.

1:09:54 Normally perspective comes from like bad things.

1:09:56 Man, McKenzie's third birthday is an incredible thing.

1:09:58 Great perspective coming from that.

1:10:00 My birthday, great perspective coming from that.

1:10:02 It's like anytime you can get a reset

1:10:04 on how life is kind of being viewed by you, I view it as a good thing.

1:10:07 And uh this weekend was special.

1:10:09 This morning was awesome celebrating with her.

1:10:11 And uh yeah, life is good.

1:10:13 A.J., sports are awesome, too.

1:10:14 We got our final eight in the NBA and in the NHL.

1:10:16 The MLB's continuing to absolutely crush it.

1:10:18 The NFL has drama all the time.

1:10:20 Life is good, A.J.

1:10:21 How are you over there?

1:10:23 Oh, I'm doing great.

1:10:24 Obviously it is weird getting older, you're right.

1:10:25 But it gives you perspective on certain things and I

1:10:27 think the good thing is you start to not

1:10:29 worry about the dumb garbage stuff that you tend

1:10:31 to worry about when you're a younger person, maybe.

1:10:33 So, that's a good thing I think age will bring you at times,

1:10:35 especially having kids, too.

1:10:37 You realize like, all right, man.

1:10:38 Like, we got we're okay.

1:10:40 My kids are fine.

1:10:40 We're okay.

1:10:41 I had a full conversation about whether or not I

1:10:43 wanted to continue to be petty in my 40th trip now.

1:10:46 Yeah.

1:10:47 Yeah.

1:10:48 Yeah, I'm not there yet.

1:10:48 I'm still I decided.

1:10:49 With who?

1:10:50 Yourself or I mean, you got to be you.

1:10:51 You got to be you.

1:10:52 Yeah, but perspective, you know,

1:10:53 that would be something that I could get rid of, you know?

1:10:55 Because I could get rid of it.

1:10:57 I could get rid of it, but I said it deserves to at least see 40.

1:11:01 You know, it deserves to at least make it to 40.

1:11:05 Exactly.

1:11:05 And then maybe we put her down, you know, because then we'll move on.

1:11:09 But it was a nice little, "Hey,

1:11:10 what do I want to continue to care cuz this would be my 40th, right?

1:11:13 Right now I'm doing it.

1:11:14 This is my 40th." Cuz you're 0 for the first year.

1:11:17 Your 40th trip.

1:11:17 Cuz when you turn 39, you've completed your 39th trip, right?

1:11:20 Cuz you don't turn 1 until you've gone 365 times.

1:11:23 So like this is currently my 40th trip, I believe, around the sun.

1:11:27 So it's like how do I want this one to go?

1:11:29 I had a full conversation with myself.

1:11:30 Full this first time.

1:11:32 Was that loud?

1:11:33 Couple of them made their way to my ears, you know,

1:11:35 normally it was inside and then I'd catch myself like going,

1:11:39 "Yeah, but why would I do that?

1:11:40 And who Who am I talking to right now?

1:11:42 Myself?

1:11:42 Okay, let's go ahead and move on.

1:11:43 Maybe we stop that.

1:11:45 Maybe we don't do that for the 40s, but yeah, it was cool.

1:11:47 It was cool to see what I want to continue to do.

1:11:49 And I do believe McKenzie's the main changer and driver

1:11:53 of basically everything in that, you know, it's cool.

1:11:55 Yeah.

1:11:55 She's awesome.

1:11:56 That's how That's That is how it works, you're right.

1:11:57 And and she's getting to the age, too, where yeah, it's getting super fun.

1:12:00 You got another one on the way that And uh you know,

1:12:02 you're already heavily involved in sports.

1:12:03 I heard you talking about her soccer young

1:12:05 soccer career already earlier in the show today.

1:12:07 That's right.

1:12:08 2030, she's going to be our 2040,

1:12:11 uh she's going to be the youngest ever, I think, in the World Cup.

1:12:14 And then uh We need her.

1:12:16 We need her.

1:12:16 She's ready.

1:12:17 She's ready.

1:12:17 And the And the women's national team for soccer has been so good for so long.

1:12:21 She understands that it's an elite bunch, and she's going to work for it.

1:12:24 She understands it.

1:12:24 She's going to She's going to understand she's got to work for it.

1:12:27 She's got a lot of energy, which I like.

1:12:28 Huge.

1:12:29 She love little people, which I which I do like.

1:12:32 And I think she's naturally kicking the ball lefty, which is good,

1:12:35 cuz we got a little some Messi tape to show her.

1:12:37 You know, we got some There you go.

1:12:39 He is, isn't he?

1:12:40 Oh, yeah.

1:12:41 He's continuing to just carry that team down there, an entire franchise.

1:12:44 What a genius David Beckham is.

1:12:45 Let's go ahead and invest in this entire thing and then

1:12:47 Struggling a little bit in our in our new stadium,

1:12:49 but he made an appearance at the Miami we speak after a a loss?

1:12:52 That's all I heard about.

1:12:53 Well, I don't think Messi is dodging accountability?

1:12:55 No, no, no.

1:12:56 It has to do with the loss per se.

1:12:58 the youngsters out there for him, they said.

1:12:59 They do the same thing every game.

1:13:01 Messi never talks.

1:13:02 Why doesn't he talk?

1:13:03 Why doesn't he talk?

1:13:04 He doesn't have to, dude.

1:13:05 be held accountable?

1:13:06 He doesn't like talking.

1:13:08 He just likes kicking.

1:13:09 Does CR7 not exist anymore?

1:13:11 Yeah, we'll see.

1:13:12 Did you see CR7 in the Saudi League yesterday?

1:13:14 Watch some highlights, dude.

1:13:16 Uh Nobody watches that Saudi League.

1:13:18 exactly.

1:13:18 Nobody watches either league.

1:13:19 Does it matter?

1:13:20 Uh actually it's uh sold out.

1:13:22 Every Inter Miami game was at 76,000 at the last game.

1:13:25 Hey, the stadium looks awesome.

1:13:27 Have you seen it?

1:13:27 It's all pink.

1:13:28 No, I haven't seen it, Pat.

1:13:31 Why not?

1:13:32 He just scored.

1:13:33 I think he just scored.

1:13:34 kidding.

1:13:34 Was it one of the nights I was at the bar?

1:13:36 It was on one of the TVs.

1:13:37 I think The stadium looks sick.

1:13:39 That's a first time that I've seen.

1:13:41 I guess Columbus built a stadium and everything,

1:13:42 and I assume there's a big highlight of that.

1:13:44 And we know the Pittsburgh Riverhounds have

1:13:45 an incredible stadium down there by the river, and that's obviously filled up.

1:13:49 But that Miami one looked big.

1:13:51 You said 76,000 people were in a MLS strictly MLS stadium now?

1:13:55 No, that was at an away game.

1:13:56 This one's not that big.

1:13:57 Oh.

1:13:58 They played at a massive stadium.

1:13:59 I forget who it was again.

1:14:00 It was a few weeks ago.

1:14:01 Maybe Dallas was 76,000.

1:14:03 I got a bad feeling.

1:14:05 I thought they were doing 76,000 a night down there.

1:14:07 No, that's That'd be cool.

1:14:09 It's too much.

1:14:10 Way too much.

1:14:10 Yeah, that's true.

1:14:11 That's dreamland.

1:14:12 They might get there.

1:14:13 How was the F1 down there in Miami?

1:14:15 I heard it was a dream come true.

1:14:16 Phenomenal.

1:14:17 Messi made his presence felt.

1:14:19 He showed up in a few different garages,

1:14:20 but the most uh probably pictures or content you saw was from the Mercedes

1:14:24 garage because young Kimi Antonelli has won

1:14:28 his third race in a row, 19-year-old.

1:14:30 a name that sounds good.

1:14:31 Yep, yep.

1:14:32 Young Italian man.

1:14:33 Um Mercedes won all four races this year.

1:14:36 He won the last three.

1:14:37 First driver First driver ever to convert

1:14:39 his first three poles into three victories.

1:14:41 So it sounds like it's pretty easy.

1:14:42 A 19-year-old just coming in there and just winning this thing.

1:14:45 What's his name?

1:14:45 What's the paisan's name?

1:14:46 I mean, sometimes you have a a Wimby

1:14:48 or a LeBron or Luka come along and just dominate early.

1:14:51 He dominated on every level.

1:14:53 They sped him up, put him up in the top car,

1:14:54 and last year was his rookie year, and this season he's been dominating.

1:14:57 Got a great car, as well.

1:14:59 Yeah, well, great car obviously helps.

1:15:00 19-year-old winning's good for the future,

1:15:02 but we want to talk about what's happening now.

1:15:04 Mhm.

1:15:05 I saw you posting about it.

1:15:07 I saw it.

1:15:07 Max Verstappen is Is he no longer a crown getter for you?

1:15:12 This guy's a loser now?

1:15:13 Uh Max Verstappen is a loser now?

1:15:16 like the car this year.

1:15:17 Max, he doesn't like the car.

1:15:18 He doesn't Last year, either.

1:15:19 But, I mean, Max Max is kind of always a potter.

1:15:21 He's always potting about it.

1:15:23 Oh, he's a potter.

1:15:23 That's why you like him.

1:15:24 You were his biggest fan, dude.

1:15:26 Dude, BUT YOU LOVED HIM.

1:15:28 MAX VERSTAPPEN POUTING, YEAH?

1:15:30 He doesn't like the car or something.

1:15:31 You like him pouting, huh?

1:15:33 He dominates, and they expected some shitty conditions.

1:15:35 He was starting at P2, so I'm like, all right,

1:15:38 it's going to be rain, it's going to be some Max figured it out.

1:15:40 Yep.

1:15:41 Yeah, place two is what they call it.

1:15:43 So, HE FINISHED YOU KNOW P2.

1:15:45 SO, HE FINISHED Did he finish in second then?

1:15:46 I want to know.

1:15:47 No, he finished I want to say maybe six or seven.

1:15:51 He went on a very risky strategy.

1:15:54 Didn't work out.

1:15:55 Verstappen sloppy.

1:15:56 Didn't work out, did it, buddy?

1:15:57 Verstappen Verstappen sliding down the shoots

1:16:00 and ladders quickly, it sounds like.

1:16:01 So, this guy goes backwards instead of forwards in races now.

1:16:04 Maybe we don't bet on him, huh?

1:16:05 How about it?

1:16:06 Maybe we just Maybe we quit on the league.

1:16:09 Where's the goat now?

1:16:10 Maybe we quit on the whole thing.

1:16:11 Lewis, where's Sir Lewis?

1:16:13 married, allegedly.

1:16:15 When's he going to put his boots back on and get behind the wheel?

1:16:18 driving for Ferrari.

1:16:20 They're they're, you know, they're up there.

1:16:22 Mercedes dominate right now.

1:16:23 That's That's Cadillac.

1:16:25 McLaren, Ferrari.

1:16:26 Yeah, how's our guys doing?

1:16:27 It's Cadillac's first year, look.

1:16:28 So, we we Where ass?

1:16:30 They're They're They're struggling.

1:16:31 You see them down there, right above Aston Martin.

1:16:33 Aston Martin.

1:16:33 They've been around for a long time.

1:16:35 got zero.

1:16:36 How How?

1:16:37 It's tough to get points, MAN.

1:16:39 TOP HAS 180.

1:16:40 THEY HAVE ZERO.

1:16:42 YOU CAN'T JUST WALK in and get points.

1:16:43 It's the pinnacle.

1:16:44 This ain't Cadillac has zero So,

1:16:46 how many opportunities have they had to get points?

1:16:49 Four races.

1:16:49 You got to get up in the top 10 to get a point.

1:16:52 Oh, we're ass.

1:16:53 So, they're both just Well, their facility Their facility is not even done yet.

1:16:56 I don't expect to have I don't know how they're supposed to win.

1:16:58 They don't even have a facility.

1:16:59 Okay, let's not mock anything that's happening with Cadillac.

1:17:02 We assume they will go from Cadillac back to Cadillac at some point.

1:17:06 Bingo.

1:17:06 Because that is what Cadillac, especially American-made cars and teams

1:17:11 the Dodge deal?

1:17:12 Dodge Ram?

1:17:13 With who?

1:17:14 With us?

1:17:16 I don't even know.

1:17:17 I don't

1:17:17 still going?

1:17:18 I'll tell you what, Cadillac, not too shabby.

1:17:21 Yeah.

1:17:22 First purchase was a Cadillac Escalade the day I was drafted.

1:17:25 I did not know that the money was not going to come for a few months.

1:17:28 Almost got that thing repoed, but I'll tell you what,

1:17:30 we were rolling, weren't we, Nick?

1:17:32 That first day with a Cadillac Escalade playing I'm So Paid by Akon.

1:17:36 Never forget it.

1:17:36 Those were the good old days.

1:17:38 Those were the good old days.

1:17:39 Just flying on the Living.

1:17:40 Living.

1:17:41 Living.

1:17:41 Absolutely.

1:17:42 Cadillac, the good old days.

1:17:44 Yeah, I I I think that that is certainly the case.

1:17:46 But also, if I need to run something over or pull something Yeah.

1:17:51 Now we're talking.

1:17:52 Especially out here in Indiana with some of these roads.

1:17:55 I'm driving my Ram truck, 2500 heavy duty.

1:17:58 Hell yeah.

1:17:58 You ever heard that thing?

1:18:00 The Rebel?

1:18:00 Yeah.

1:18:01 Ram, yeah.

1:18:02 You're talking about whenever you hit that gas pedal,

1:18:04 all you hear is a ram The diesel?

1:18:07 That's right.

1:18:07 No.

1:18:08 Yeah.

1:18:09 Yeah, it is.

1:18:10 Bingo bango.

1:18:11 You sure?

1:18:11 You sure?

1:18:11 Huh?

1:18:12 You sure?

1:18:13 Yeah, man.

1:18:14 I'm pretty certain about it.

1:18:15 I mean, that's just kind of It turns on with both.

1:18:17 Don't look at the screen.

1:18:18 That is kind of what I do.

1:18:20 Okay.

1:18:20 You pulling things a lot with that?

1:18:24 You said it could pull things.

1:18:25 Oh, so many things.

1:18:26 Damn pull I I hook them right up to the I

1:18:29 got ball two balls hanging from the tail Yeah, you do.

1:18:33 Tailpipe.

1:18:33 Pair of testicles.

1:18:35 No.

1:18:36 I don't know what your truck's talking about.

1:18:37 I know what mine's talking about.

1:18:38 Okay, let's talk about some things happening around the NFL.

1:18:41 Malik Willis, the new face of the Miami Dolphins,

1:18:44 was invited to go throw the opening pitch.

1:18:45 You know, a little ceremony.

1:18:46 Welcome to the city.

1:18:47 Let us show you some support.

1:18:49 He walked right out there on a mound, and I'll tell you what,

1:18:51 if this is how his Dolphins career is going to go the only thing you're

1:18:56 going to be celebrating is that 1972 Dolphins team for the rest of your lives,

1:18:59 if you know what I'm saying.

1:19:00 Um, certainly a fascinating throw.

1:19:02 I appreciate the fact that he wore a glove out there onto the mound.

1:19:04 I assume he warmed up and lathered up.

1:19:06 We know that stadium is electrifying,

1:19:08 so maybe he was just a little bit juiced up to put on a show.

1:19:10 AJ, your first immediate thoughts whenever you see Malik

1:19:13 kind of airmailed one to start his Miami career.

1:19:16 I'm actually very happy to see this.

1:19:18 I think the number one thing is you just don't want to bounce it in.

1:19:20 And sometimes it's hard if you're not used to pitching off a mound,

1:19:23 you fall down like that, and it brings your arm down,

1:19:25 and boom, that thing bounces to the plate.

1:19:26 So, absolutely, I think he was aiming

1:19:28 to try to hit the backstop behind the catcher.

1:19:30 Smart.

1:19:30 Yeah, I think there is a chance he was trying to put on a little bit of a show,

1:19:33 showcase how strong his arm is.

1:19:35 But, I know you saw this as a member of the Doll Fam, the Fins Up community.

1:19:39 What What was your first thoughts whenever you saw this Miami

1:19:41 Dolphins quarterback not be able to complete a a throw and catch?

1:19:46 If I would have saw this a couple

1:19:47 months ago before we start thunderballing in here,

1:19:50 and I realized how hard it is to find a strike zone,

1:19:53 maybe maybe had a different feeling.

1:19:55 But, I saw this, and I saw you throw it in the chat,

1:19:57 and tried to mock my quarterback.

1:19:58 So, obviously, I went and did some research,

1:20:00 scoured the internet, and said, "Hey,

1:20:03 great quarterbacks, shitty first pitch." And a lot came up,

1:20:07 including the baby goat Patrick Mahomes.

1:20:09 So, I saw him struggle as well.

1:20:10 And this guy played baseball.

1:20:11 He was on the USA juniors.

1:20:12 I believe he got drafted, if I'm not mistaken, to play baseball.

1:20:15 His pops was obviously a big league pitcher for a long time.

1:20:18 So, if Patrick Mahomes is doing this, and run

1:20:20 off rattling up a couple Super Bowls, I think Malik Willis will be just fine.

1:20:24 Okay, so you're saying ipso facto,

1:20:26 if Pavlov's dogs throw it over catcher, become baby goat.

1:20:32 Yep.

1:20:31 Over, too.

1:20:32 It's important that it's over high like like AJ says, not bouncing.

1:20:35 He's aggressive when you behind the plate though.

1:20:37 That was Patrick Mahomes Sr.

1:20:39 Obviously Patrick Mahomes the second, Jr.

1:20:43 Yep.

1:20:43 I think he is Jr.

1:20:45 Mhm.

1:20:47 I thought he was I think he is.

1:20:48 I think on his Man, my brain

1:20:50 got the second he's got the second up here on his Okay,

1:20:52 the second Patrick Mahomes the second who would obviously then

1:20:57 request the internet to find another first pitch that he

1:20:59 has done in the past where he threw an absolute

1:21:01 inside strike nibbling on the edge a little bit there.

1:21:04 You know, Patrick Mahomes will go and have some success.

1:21:07 I appreciate the fact that he uh we put a we had

1:21:11 a stay I Brett Veach was on last week and I said,

1:21:14 "Feels like the first time Patrick Mahomes kind of overlooked,

1:21:16 right?" Doesn't it feel like that?

1:21:17 Yeah.

1:21:18 Mhm.

1:21:18 It really does.

1:21:19 about at all.

1:21:19 Yeah.

1:21:20 Nobody really thinks much of the Chiefs.

1:21:22 The big conversation about the Chiefs is that Travis Kelce's coming back.

1:21:25 It's not like, "Hey, Chiefs you're going to win a Super Bowl." No.

1:21:28 Nobody's like saying Chiefs are Super Bowl bound right now.

1:21:31 A lot of people are saying the AFC is actually brand new,

1:21:34 let alone the AFC West which has a lot of big-time names out there.

1:21:38 And for me, it's just like Patrick Mahomes getting a chance to build

1:21:41 another chip on his shoulder after he's already been a made man,

1:21:43 already put together a Hall of Fame career.

1:21:45 And if we know anything from listening to Tom Brady speak whenever he retired,

1:21:48 Drew Brees speak whenever he retired,

1:21:50 Peyton Manning whenever he wrapped up, it's like they are collecting everything

1:21:55 Yes.

1:21:55 whenever they are trying to find their motivation to continue to go.

1:21:58 And it feels like the absence of anything

1:22:00 being said about Patrick Mahomes could certainly

1:22:02 be a motivator for a man who's healing

1:22:04 way ahead of schedule they're saying, AJ Hawk.

1:22:07 Yeah, I think this is great and Andy Reid has to love this and where they are

1:22:09 in the off-season especially heading to camp because

1:22:12 whenever you're riding high and things are going great,

1:22:14 coaches that's when they are the most nervous.

1:22:15 Like, "Hey, I got to de-recruit these guys.

1:22:17 I got to I got to get on these guys

1:22:18 every single day and make sure that they're staying with it

1:22:20 and they're staying locked in." I think now like a lot

1:22:23 of the work is done for you because of all the yeah,

1:22:25 your season didn't go very well,

1:22:27 but it's it's amazing how quickly people I guess forget their greatness.

1:22:30 So, I think yeah, I'm looking for big

1:22:32 things from from Pat Mahomes and this whole team.

1:22:34 To be clear, whenever they were winning

1:22:35 and they were playing good during their dynasty run,

1:22:37 they would win in ass fashion.

1:22:39 You know what I mean?

1:22:40 It wouldn't be like a massive blowout.

1:22:42 They they were notorious non-covers.

1:22:45 Notorious.

1:22:46 They lost me so much money.

1:22:49 Just the Chiefs are still the Chiefs.

1:22:51 I would just get into a microphone.

1:22:53 Oh, are the Chiefs still in Kansas?

1:22:57 Yeah.

1:22:58 Do the Chiefs still have Andy Reid?

1:23:01 Yeah.

1:23:01 Do they still have Pat?

1:23:02 Yeah.

1:23:02 Then the Chiefs are still the Chiefs.

1:23:04 I would take them every single week.

1:23:06 And they would lose me money every single week.

1:23:07 Cuz they never covered.

1:23:09 But they're covering and the spread was always on what we thought of the Chiefs,

1:23:12 which was a team that would always win, which they would.

1:23:15 They would inevitably win.

1:23:16 There'd be some third down in the fourth

1:23:18 quarter where Patrick Mahomes would hit Travis Kelce.

1:23:20 There'd be some miraculous play that would take place.

1:23:22 They were must-watch.

1:23:23 Mahomes in and of in of himself is must-watch.

1:23:25 But they would very rarely like blow people out.

1:23:28 So, that obviously led to people, especially if you're winning all the time,

1:23:30 saying oh, the football gods are blessing these guys.

1:23:32 They're just getting lucky.

1:23:33 They're actually not that good.

1:23:34 And then once they do have a season where they are ass,

1:23:37 and he gets hurt, everybody comes out and says the signs were there.

1:23:39 The signs were there that they were never really that good.

1:23:42 And that's now what the Chiefs get a chance to kind of work off of.

1:23:44 Yeah, I think a lot of it is a lot of the you're not hearing Chiefs talk.

1:23:49 hear any anti-Patrick Mahomes talk though.

1:23:51 Like it's always Oh, yeah.

1:23:52 the O-line stinks.

1:23:54 He's been their leading rusher whatever the past few years.

1:23:56 They haven't been able to run the ball at all.

1:23:58 The weapons when Rashee Rice is is not in there are not great.

1:24:01 Travis is getting old, blah blah blah.

1:24:03 So, it's not like I don't think it's an anti-Patrick thing.

1:24:06 It's just a anti like, hey,

1:24:08 he he just hasn't been the Superman the last couple years that he has

1:24:12 been the years before being able to carry a team that may have flaws.

1:24:16 Okay, let's go from Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs not getting talked

1:24:19 about enough to something else that got talked about a lot and it should.

1:24:22 You see Peyton Manning shotgunning beers up there with Josh Heupel.

1:24:25 You see Joey Aguiar up there chugging or shotgunning some beers with Luke Combs.

1:24:28 Now, Luke Combs, notorious great shotgunner of beer.

1:24:32 He He inhales that thing.

1:24:33 Puts it down.

1:24:34 I mean, he sucks that beer out of the bottom of that hole.

1:24:36 Now, shotgun is obviously a science experiment

1:24:38 to get a beer out of a can quicker.

1:24:40 Now, you got You got an intake hole, you got an outlet hole,

1:24:42 you got some gravity working with you,

1:24:44 and also air pressure kind of working for you.

1:24:47 So, that beer can shotgun literally out of that can into your gullet.

1:24:52 Luke Combs, notoriously good shotgun taker of beer,

1:24:56 has actually done it so often and so well that some people say,

1:24:59 "This guy's got to have gimmicked cans.

1:25:01 He's got to have no beer inside of there."

1:25:02 That actually leads to him throwing cans at people saying, "Hey,

1:25:05 why don't you go ahead and come on and dance

1:25:06 if you want to." Peyton Manning loves a nice cold beer.

1:25:10 We know that.

1:25:12 does.

1:25:11 He loves a nice cold beer.

1:25:12 He went ahead and chugged one.

1:25:13 Heupel, we assume he can delete some beer.

1:25:16 Yeah.

1:25:16 We watch him in front of 100,000 plus with Luke Combs.

1:25:19 Dude just as such.

1:25:21 Aguiar's up there doing his thing.

1:25:22 It's like, I love what these musicians are doing with these college tours.

1:25:28 Because a lot of these college stadiums, I assume,

1:25:30 aren't necessarily built for a world-class show taking over the entire place.

1:25:36 Now, granted, Neyland Stadium here is outrageously nice.

1:25:40 It is beautiful.

1:25:41 It is upgraded.

1:25:42 It's 114, I think, 113,000.

1:25:44 I forget.

1:25:45 108, whatever it is.

1:25:46 thousand people.

1:25:47 But, I like this happening in a showcase

1:25:49 of the college sports communities coming together.

1:25:51 We obviously have seen them over the past couple weeks.

1:25:53 We hope that will continue.

1:25:54 Zach Bryan did Michigan.

1:25:56 114,000 people or something like that.

1:25:59 It's unbelievable what's going on.

1:26:01 And uh I like the boys chugging beers and having a good time out there, A.J.

1:26:05 Yeah, it's great.

1:26:05 But, I mean, can we get someone to walk out with Morgan Wallen in Vegas?

1:26:09 What's going on, man?

1:26:09 He's so upset.

1:26:10 Who Who are the five people that bailed on this guy?

1:26:12 I don't know.

1:26:13 And why would you?

1:26:14 You You I I It'd have to be a scheduling thing, but

1:26:18 Or a magician.

1:26:19 A trick went wrong.

1:26:20 I was lucky.

1:26:21 I was potentially And maybe somebody was there.

1:26:23 It was just invisible.

1:26:24 Yeah.

1:26:24 There you go.

1:26:25 Yeah.

1:26:25 You never know.

1:26:25 Maybe he didn't even know.

1:26:27 Maybe somebody got bored there.

1:26:28 You got some flaky ass people in this town.

1:26:30 I do love that.

1:26:31 I like that he called it out, too.

1:26:33 Anytime that takes place.

1:26:34 Vegas, baby.

1:26:34 I'd like to let Morgan know, though.

1:26:36 Hey, the solo dolo walkout, I think it's pretty good, too.

1:26:39 It also applies.

1:26:39 I was very lucky to be a part

1:26:41 of one of the first ones alongside Tyrese Haliburton.

1:26:44 That's a good time, man.

1:26:45 I mean, that is good.

1:26:46 Watching him kind of go through his process before the concert.

1:26:49 Like coach Saban did it down there

1:26:51 in Tuscaloosa with Morgan just a few weeks back.

1:26:54 I'll be excited to get coach Saban's

1:26:55 thoughts on Morgan's pre-show kind of routine.

1:26:59 Cuz there is exercise, workout, uh group like there is like I believe a routine.

1:27:04 Cuz he's sprinting that stadium basically throughout

1:27:06 his show as he continues to go there.

1:27:08 So, yeah, it's cool, man.

1:27:10 It's an incredible thing.

1:27:11 He's in Indianapolis this weekend.

1:27:12 I can't wait to see who comes out.

1:27:16 What's that?

1:27:17 Lucas Oil?

1:27:17 Yeah, he's in Lucas Oil.

1:27:18 Sold out a couple times.

1:27:19 Guy sells out everywhere.

1:27:20 Yeah.

1:27:21 Luke Combs selling out 100,000 plus Tickets are not cheap.

1:27:23 There it is.

1:27:24 Yeah, this is early days of this thing, I think.

1:27:26 I'm not 100% sure how many there were.

1:27:30 That was fun.

1:27:30 Dude, he's Hey.

1:27:33 Has anyone ever tripped?

1:27:34 I don't think anybody's ever tripped,

1:27:35 but there's been somebody that's got hit with something, right?

1:27:37 Didn't something happen?

1:27:38 know.

1:27:39 It's an incredible You know, it's classic uh wrestling,

1:27:41 but also it's a great way to fill time.

1:27:43 He also uh him and Theo Von, I think, for his most recent tour puts together

1:27:47 an entire sketch basically about turning on the stage.

1:27:49 I think it's really smart cuz how do you keep people so entertained Yeah.

1:27:52 uh that are in the top rows whenever you're just by yourself.

1:27:54 You know, it's like a professional wrestling question.

1:27:56 Like how do you entertain everybody in the top

1:27:59 whenever you're a ring down here in the middle?

1:28:01 So, the entire spectacle is a rather big piece of the puzzle.

1:28:04 And also like kind of moving around.

1:28:06 The way these musicians have been

1:28:07 able to captivate stadiums very, very fascinating.

1:28:10 Cuz the the the sophistication of their shows, I believe,

1:28:15 if you were to look at them over the last 10 years has really evolved.

1:28:18 You know, with everything they're trying to do.

1:28:20 I mean, we went to Taylor Swift down at Luke's old stadium.

1:28:23 That entire thing was insane.

1:28:24 You were a part of the show.

1:28:26 You know, like how do you kind of make the show you know,

1:28:27 you got to be like a part of the immersive, right?

1:28:30 It's like an immersive situation like almost like the sphere but not the sphere.

1:28:33 Exactly.

1:28:34 Like you kind of have to treat it that way,

1:28:35 especially with how big these stadiums are.

1:28:37 It's like I think they've done a great job.

1:28:38 The Luke one, he did a great job cuz it's it's right in the middle

1:28:41 of the football field and it's a circle

1:28:43 stage and the stage spins the entire time.

1:28:45 So, the entire crowd can see him the whole time.

1:28:47 It's not like you're in one end zone.

1:28:48 So, everyone in this end zone is super far away.

1:28:50 Being in the middle like it was like there

1:28:52 wasn't like a bad seat in the house type thing.

1:28:53 Who was it?

1:28:54 Dane Cook that started the circle stage for comedians I I

1:28:57 I in the arenas or whatever cuz he was so big?

1:29:00 It was like that into what it is now with Chappelle

1:29:02 and Shane and like everybody does it and how they

1:29:04 operate it is uh it's a wonderful thing watching people kind

1:29:07 of do their job and uh Morgan fills the place up.

1:29:11 I mean, he fills it and he can play for 4 hours.

1:29:15 A lot of songs.

1:29:16 Just one album.

1:29:17 How long is the album?

1:29:17 Oh, 10 hours.

1:29:19 How many songs do you have?

1:29:20 30 number ones on this one song.

1:29:21 It's like on this one album.

1:29:23 It's like this guy's outrageous.

1:29:25 This weekend should be a great time.

1:29:26 Tonight, second round of the playoffs continues to brew.

1:29:32 Sixers at Knicks, 8 o'clock on Peacock and NBC.

1:29:35 Timberwolves Spurs, 9:30 on NBC and Peacock.

1:29:40 I'm excited to see how the boys do out here.

1:29:43 I'm excited to see who shows up.

1:29:44 I'm excited to see Wemby continue to you know,

1:29:47 try to dominate a league in which he's supposed to be the next chosen one.

1:29:50 Is his time now or is he still a year or two out?

1:29:54 We shall see if he can get past the second round.

1:29:56 interesting to see cuz in the first round we

1:29:58 talked about it before the first round started because

1:30:00 we talked about the regular season and how it

1:30:01 was kind of lopsided and we said it well,

1:30:03 normally the playoffs is great but the first round sometimes not so great.

1:30:06 That was not the case.

1:30:08 Dogs were 24 and 30 straight up.

1:30:10 So yes, favorites won the first round of the playoffs,

1:30:13 but dogs being that close,

1:30:14 they were plus 18 units if you just took the dogs in every single game.

1:30:17 So we'll see if that continues.

1:30:19 Yes, the Spurs are huge huge favorites.

1:30:21 That's probably because of the injuries,

1:30:22 but Sham said Ant's trying to go tonight.

1:30:24 So we'll see what happens in that situation.

1:30:26 The it has gone from 13 and a half to 11

1:30:28 and a half with the speculation that Ant may play tonight.

1:30:30 So we'll see there.

1:30:31 And then the Sixers being that big of a dog is is kind

1:30:34 of interesting after they just knocked out the best team in the East.

1:30:38 Them being seven and a half point favorites to or dogs

1:30:40 to the Knicks is an interesting one to watch tonight as well.

1:30:42 Do you like that line, Colin Cowherd?

1:30:44 I like all the underdog lines.

1:30:46 I I hate especially right now that they even have 13 and a half

1:30:49 up for the Spurs if Ant Man's going to play for the T-Wolves.

1:30:52 This is This timing is what really grinds my gears, okay?

1:30:56 Normally, I get it.

1:30:57 Okay, you start one at seven, you start the other at 9:30, there's no overlap.

1:31:01 If we're getting overlap like we are here, I want to watch Wemby.

1:31:05 I want to watch every single overlap.

1:31:08 There's a huge overlap here.

1:31:09 It's 8:00 and 9:30.

1:31:11 Like it should be 7:00 and 9:30 if we're going off the

1:31:14 right?

1:31:14 Is the graphic right?

1:31:16 I am 90% sure, yes.

1:31:18 Yes, it's a sixer game.

1:31:18 Yes, right.

1:31:19 And this can't happen.

1:31:20 one's big NBC or what?

1:31:22 Uh no, they're both Pea- Peacock is weird cuz

1:31:24 YouTube TV has some of the games that are NBC.

1:31:27 It doesn't make any sense.

1:31:28 But they shouldn't have this.

1:31:29 And if they do have it, then just run them at the same time.

1:31:32 Like how many times is one of the playoff games,

1:31:35 especially in basketball, a 20-point blowout?

1:31:38 And then the other one ends up being

1:31:40 a real tight game down to the last couple minutes.

1:31:42 You know how the last couple minutes are.

1:31:44 It ends up being a 10-point game either way.

1:31:46 But Wemby is so fun to watch to put him at 9:30 is

1:31:51 just a disservice to the East Coast of the United States of America.

1:31:54 And I am sick of it because I do want to watch the whole thing.

1:31:57 I mean, it happened last night with Wild-Avalanche.

1:31:59 That game started That game starts at 9:00.

1:32:01 It's over before midnight.

1:32:03 That's perfect.

1:32:04 That is like we can we can handle that.

1:32:06 Would still like it to start at 8:30, but can deal with it being at 9:00.

1:32:09 That 9:30, you you would think a half hour makes no difference.

1:32:13 It makes Oh, the second half it's over.

1:32:15 Makes a difference.

1:32:15 Halftime comes, that's a lot of downtime.

1:32:18 Yeah, and and by then it's 11:15.

1:32:20 Stop.

1:32:20 I'll tell you, I start doing one of these, laying on the bed,

1:32:25 and all of a sudden I wake up, it's the end of the third.

1:32:28 Where we at?

1:32:29 playoffs.

1:32:29 It's the end of the fourth.

1:32:31 Oh my god, this really matters right now.

1:32:33 I missed so much.

1:32:35 Oh, what time is it?

1:32:37 12:30.

1:32:37 What the WHY IS THIS YEAH.

1:32:40 That's how it is.

1:32:41 And they have no reason to put that game at night.

1:32:44 Like sure, I get it.

1:32:45 Central time, whatever that whatever the hell you

1:32:47 want argument you want to make with time, it's an illusion either way.

1:32:50 They just need to have the timings of the games make some sense for everybody.

1:32:56 Time is an illusion, AJ.

1:32:57 Let's expand upon that, shall we?

1:32:59 Let's explore that space.

1:33:00 What do you think that means?

1:33:02 I would love to know.

1:33:03 What is What does anything mean actually, Pat?

1:33:05 Oh, no.

1:33:06 Now we're getting even deeper in here.

1:33:08 Deeper That's a fair statement cuz I'll tell you what,

1:33:10 since COVID, I feel like my concept of time is completely changed.

1:33:14 What do you mean?

1:33:14 I don't know.

1:33:15 Like 3 months it just feels completely different than it did in say 2018.

1:33:20 Okay, so my daughter is 1,095 days old.

1:33:23 Okay?

1:33:23 That is such an interesting timeline that has taken place.

1:33:26 You're saying post-COVID.

1:33:28 It has really changed how you view everything.

1:33:30 When was the draft?

1:33:31 2 years ago?

1:33:32 That's what I'm saying.

1:33:33 Especially with the the the run the run

1:33:35 that we've kind of been on it like Yeah, exactly.

1:33:39 WrestleMania.

1:33:39 A year ago.

1:33:40 50 Cent, Tony Yayo.

1:33:41 He wished me a happy birthday.

1:33:43 Tony Tony?

1:33:44 Good guy.

1:33:45 I was so pumped up about that.

1:33:47 I was like I need young me to find out about this.

1:33:49 The idea that time is an illusion stems from modern physics,

1:33:52 particularly Einstein's relativity,

1:33:54 which suggests the universe is a 4D block where past,

1:33:57 present, and future exist simultaneously.

1:33:58 Shut up, Einstein.

1:33:59 Time doesn't flow fundamentally.

1:34:01 Rather, our consciousness creates the perception of a linear

1:34:04 progression while physics shows events simply correlate,

1:34:07 making the now subjective.

1:34:10 Wow.

1:34:11 Wow, I wish Einstein was here so I could say, "What, dude?

1:34:13 Now is right now.

1:34:14 We're all here, bro." He actually didn't die that long ago.

1:34:17 I was It I was really shocked when I watched that movie with Oppenheimer.

1:34:21 It really shocked me that Einstein was still involved.

1:34:23 Can we just put this person at 8:30?

1:34:26 Thought he was around there.

1:34:26 That's all I was asking.

1:34:27 See, that's what we got to talk about.

1:34:29 Rest in peace to Sun Tzu, by the I was like a Galileo guy.

1:34:31 Yeah.

1:34:32 Uh black and white photos only of Albert Einstein.

1:34:34 Those could have certainly been portraits.

1:34:36 You could have got me.

1:34:37 Uh him popping up in Oppenheimer by the water there.

1:34:39 What's he doing here?

1:34:40 That looks like Einstein.

1:34:41 That looks like Einstein with his dad.

1:34:44 Watching that movie.

1:34:47 That surely looks like Einstein right there, doesn't it?

1:34:48 Yeah, it was.

1:34:49 Did he time travel here?

1:34:50 Did everybody look like Einstein back then?

1:34:52 Why is this Why are they calling him Albert?

1:34:54 Oh, that's actually Einstein.

1:34:55 It's crazy.

1:34:56 Holy Yeah, Mr.

1:34:57 Steal.

1:34:57 Man, he was really disappointed in Oppenheimer.

1:35:00 Einstein?

1:35:01 Yeah.

1:35:01 his disappointment in Oppenheimer.

1:35:03 You don't think they offered me this type of thing?

1:35:06 Yeah.

1:35:05 Geez, Einstein.

1:35:06 I didn't know.

1:35:07 I think he was scared for him.

1:35:09 Yeah, and he knew that E definitely equaled MC squared.

1:35:13 That was a big part of it.

1:35:14 It certainly was.

1:35:15 Think about the big brains of the past.

1:35:17 Oh my god.

1:35:19 Were they viewed like that back then when they were alive, though?

1:35:21 That's what I wanted to Oh, yeah.

1:35:23 I I assume that God hates them.

1:35:24 Like when you just hear Einstein, you think like,

1:35:26 "Oh, super genius." Was everybody thinking that back then?

1:35:29 A lot of it was secret, too, right?

1:35:30 Like a a lot of the things were classified.

1:35:33 Well, and does Well, for the bomb.

1:35:35 Does only his banger survive, though?

1:35:37 Like everything else?

1:35:39 You know, like as we look back on musicians, we only remember their heat.

1:35:42 We don't remember the drops that were absolutely terrible.

1:35:45 Like do we only know Einstein for his hits?

1:35:47 And did he have a bunch of misses in real time?

1:35:50 thought E was just MC.

1:35:51 Idiot.

1:35:52 Yeah, and then he had to come out and everybody was like, "I hate this guy."

1:35:54 Yeah.

1:35:54 "I hate this I'm sick of this math guy.

1:35:57 I'm sorry I'm sick and tired of it."

1:35:59 Or do you think he was loved the entire time?

1:36:01 feel like math like with the musician comparison, musicians release a bunch.

1:36:05 I feel like math, especially math guys like Einstein,

1:36:08 like I think his whole life was damn near three things.

1:36:10 Oh, you think E equals MC squared took up a lot of time?

1:36:12 You think he kind of disappeared into the world of math and then he

1:36:15 came back with, "I have a new one." You think that's how it goes?

1:36:20 It's and it takes like 5 years.

1:36:21 So, like it's 5 years of doing one and then it's probably a year of like,

1:36:25 "I need to get back to smoke up like a pope, you know?

1:36:28 Like, "Hey, Einstein's got another one." Maybe.

1:36:31 It's more like Adele, just speaking of musicians.

1:36:33 Yeah, you're right.

1:36:35 Drop heat out of nowhere for a few years and just boom.

1:36:37 And maybe smoke, too, cuz I think she actually did somehow.

1:36:41 She does rip it a good dot.

1:36:42 Yeah, Einstein did the big 10-minute naps.

1:36:44 He never slept for like hours at a time.

1:36:47 He did the nap thing.

1:36:48 I got algo'd into listening to a sleep expert.

1:36:51 Okay.

1:36:52 Uh, are you a Whoop band?

1:36:54 Um, how how do you know what's good for everybody,

1:36:57 I guess, in this entire thing?

1:36:58 He said what he tells people who don't have a lot of time,

1:37:01 uh, chug a coffee, take a 25-minute nap, wake up, you're back to life.

1:37:06 Right after the coffee?

1:37:08 You chug the coffee, turn yourself off.

1:37:11 yeah.

1:37:12 Put you to sleep nice and warm, yeah.

1:37:13 Well, he said, "I sit down actually to Nick

1:37:15 Rolle's been Nick Rolle's been doing this for a decade.

1:37:18 Yeah, but how do you just turn the lights off on yourself?

1:37:19 I almost want to comment underneath like, "Okay,

1:37:21 chug the coffee and then do I just tell myself to go to sleep right now?" Like,

1:37:25 how Yeah, that's always been my argument.

1:37:26 We would be out day drinking and Nick would come up

1:37:28 We'd take a break and he'd chug a coffee and say like,

1:37:30 "All right, I'm going to take a 25-minute nap." I'm like,

1:37:32 "How does that happen?" So, it's actually called a nappuccino.

1:37:36 Uh, it acts as a high-efficiency power up where caffeine

1:37:39 kicks in just as you wake from a 20-minute nap,

1:37:41 reducing drowsiness and maximizing alertness.

1:37:44 I'll tell you what, I'll take two nappuccinos tomorrow

1:37:47 and I'll take a couple of Napuccinos the next day.

1:37:49 Do you know somebody who maybe took a Napuccino or two

1:37:53 in the process of building a Goliath in the sports and entertainment world?

1:37:59 A man who had a vision for a gimmick baseball team.

1:38:04 When I assume a lot of people were not believers.

1:38:08 Yeah.

1:38:08 Just had thoughts of something that become a 102,

1:38:12 103,000 ticket seller down in Texas on a regular basis.

1:38:16 Ladies and gentlemen,

1:38:17 the founder of the Savannah Bananas who just had a massive weekend at Texas A&M.

1:38:23 100 some thousand tickets on gimmick baseball.

1:38:29 Unbelievable.

1:38:31 It is truly preposterous.

1:38:34 Yes, it is.

1:38:34 What has been accomplished, ladies and gentlemen?

1:38:37 Yellow mic talks Jesse, JESSE COLE.

1:38:42 WHAT'S UP, GUYS?

1:38:43 OKAY, SO CAN YOU please tell me how you go from If the story is right,

1:38:49 I try to Google as much information as I possibly could.

1:38:52 So I'm kind of being held hostage by whatever

1:38:54 they decide to show me about your story.

1:38:56 But I did read in debt over a million bucks, 1.7 million.

1:39:00 You sell your house, you and your wife sleeping on a mattress on the floor

1:39:03 basically with your visions of what this could all be.

1:39:06 How many years ago was that?

1:39:08 And do you have the visions at that point of selling

1:39:11 out Texas A&M 100 and some thousand tickets for a gimmick baseball?

1:39:16 Like how big did you dream and believe and where you are right now,

1:39:19 how can you describe it?

1:39:21 Well, at first our goal was just to make baseball fun.

1:39:23 We were a college summer baseball team when we started.

1:39:26 So and we only sold, you know, two tickets in our first three months.

1:39:30 So that's when we had to sell our house,

1:39:31 empty out our savings account, sleeping on an air bed.

1:39:33 But yeah, we believe we can make the game fun,

1:39:35 more entertainment, more excitement, and make the game faster.

1:39:38 And so yeah, we I mean,

1:39:40 when we started with the Bananas, we had a male cheerleading team,

1:39:42 the Mananas, the Dad Bod cheerleading squad,

1:39:43 the Banana Nanas senior citizen dance team.

1:39:45 But more than anything,

1:39:46 the players were all in on celebrating, dancing, and having fun.

1:39:49 And after a few years, we you know,

1:39:50 we were selling out games, but fans were still leaving games early.

1:39:53 And that's when we said, we have to change the rules and create a new game.

1:39:56 And back in 2020, we played our first ever Banana Ball game, you know,

1:39:59 with a 2-hour time limit, you win the inning,

1:40:01 you get a point, no bunting cuz bunting sucks.

1:40:04 If you bunt, you're thrown out of the game.

1:40:05 Fans catching foul balls for an out.

1:40:07 We've added all these new rules and just took

1:40:09 it on the road with a a bigger dream then,

1:40:11 but went from one city world tour to now playing

1:40:14 in front of 3.4 million fans this year and 102,000 on Saturday.

1:40:17 Jesse, congratulations on it all.

1:40:19 Obviously, having the fortitude to continue to go

1:40:22 forward whenever everything is seemingly against you

1:40:25 and to believe in yourself is obviously a great

1:40:26 story for future generations to listen to and experience.

1:40:30 So, you're a content-driven company, would you describe yourself?

1:40:33 How do you describe you?

1:40:34 Are you a live event company?

1:40:35 Are you a content-driven company?

1:40:36 And who do you find are most interested?

1:40:39 Because I think you and the Dude Perfect crossover seems

1:40:41 like a perfect demo match and also a massive home run.

1:40:44 Not only in Texas A&M, but probably anywhere you go, right?

1:40:47 That's very similar markets.

1:40:49 Yeah, we're a live entertainment company.

1:40:50 We obsess over the fan experience.

1:40:52 So, fans start showing up at 2:00 for a 7:00 game.

1:40:55 There were 40,000 people in the plaza 4 hours before the game.

1:40:58 So, we do a show from 2:00.

1:41:00 The fans are out there meeting fans at 2:00,

1:41:02 live show in front, live show afterwards.

1:41:04 We stay We sign to the last fan.

1:41:06 We obsess.

1:41:06 But yeah, it's really the sport of Banana Ball.

1:41:08 You know, people have compared us to the Globetrotters,

1:41:10 but the sport of Banana Ball is what we're most proud of.

1:41:12 There are six teams competing to go

1:41:14 to the Banana Ball championship and it's unbelievably competitive.

1:41:18 I mean, we had 23 trick plays on Saturday night, six home runs.

1:41:22 They're trying to compete and win every show,

1:41:24 but we're also trying to put on a you know, a lot of entertainment nonstop.

1:41:27 The Texas Tailgaters ran into it with a Reese,

1:41:30 who's the football stadium home run king, I'll have you know.

1:41:34 I think I don't know if you saw the other day,

1:41:37 I caught one of your guys' games on ESPN 2.

1:41:39 Congratulations on getting your licensed on ESPN for even bigger appeal,

1:41:43 not just digitally, but also linear reach.

1:41:45 I mean, you're doing fantastic.

1:41:47 We will follow along and watch your next business move as you

1:41:50 continue to go all in in this particular sphere, by the way.

1:41:53 So, I appreciate you doing what you're doing there.

1:41:56 Uh but football stadiums, how do you pick and choose where you're headed?

1:41:59 Uh because Texas A&M Kyle Field, obviously historic,

1:42:03 legendary place for college ball fills up for you.

1:42:06 Do you feel like you fill up anywhere?

1:42:08 Or like what what are the best places for Savannah?

1:42:11 Cuz you came here, Indianapolis filled up immediately.

1:42:14 I think you sold out three times if you needed to.

1:42:16 Are you everywhere right now?

1:42:17 Or how do you kind of view where you're selling these places?

1:42:20 Yeah, we're we're in 45 states, 75 stadiums.

1:42:23 Every single team is sold out.

1:42:25 Uh we have 4.2 million people on the wait list.

1:42:27 And yeah, with football stadiums, you know,

1:42:29 we we started with Clemson last year and the first college and stadium

1:42:32 and sold 81,000 tickets in the environment with Dabo Swinney and C.J.

1:42:35 Spiller coming back and just it was the atmosphere was electric.

1:42:38 Like, we got to do these college football stadiums.

1:42:40 And then uh you know, also with the NFL,

1:42:42 we did the Superdome and Drew Brees came in and just

1:42:44 there's these great moments that we can create in a competitive environment.

1:42:47 So, yeah, we've heard from numerous uh stadiums over 100,000.

1:42:50 We still got We got Neyland Stadium, University of Tennessee in 3 weeks.

1:42:54 It's going to be 101,000.

1:42:55 That's completely sold out.

1:42:56 Boise State for the party animals, headliner and the blue field.

1:43:00 That's going to be a lot of fun.

1:43:01 University of Oregon.

1:43:02 So, just you mix these worlds.

1:43:03 College football is known for the atmosphere.

1:43:05 Pat, you know this better than anyone.

1:43:06 But now you put in our show with nonstop music and It's

1:43:09 a great marriage and we're having fun at these college football stadiums.

1:43:14 It's a beautiful thing.

1:43:15 Obviously, if people are getting introduced

1:43:17 to sports in this manner, we love it.

1:43:19 If they're just enjoying sports in this manner, we love it.

1:43:22 I appreciate the fact that you went out there and did it.

1:43:24 Now, in your business story, there's probably a climax moment or two.

1:43:28 Go ahead, D Butta.

1:43:28 Yeah, Jess, you're talking about filling stadiums, you know, 100,000 plus.

1:43:32 Now, when was the moment if you can go

1:43:34 back a little bit when you really knew like,

1:43:36 "Okay, we we've arrived." When was that moment?

1:43:38 What was the venue?

1:43:39 Kind of what was the year?

1:43:41 Well, if you knew know knew me and our organization, we've never arrived.

1:43:44 You know, we're just getting started.

1:43:45 And that's the mindset and I believe that.

1:43:47 We're going to take this all over the world.

1:43:48 People thinks it's just a circus, just a show.

1:43:50 These guys can play and do things that people

1:43:52 have never done before on a baseball field.

1:43:53 So, I still haven't felt that.

1:43:55 But, for me growing up south of Boston,

1:43:57 always a dream to play at Fenway Park, play professionally.

1:43:59 We went to Fenway Park and sold

1:44:01 that out and watched the whole stadium turn yellow.

1:44:03 That was pretty special.

1:44:04 But, now, you know, every night, as big as this game was, guys,

1:44:07 we did a pop-up game on Thursday in front of only a thousand fans.

1:44:10 And we didn't tell anybody.

1:44:11 We went to a high school and surprised

1:44:13 fans and created moments people have never seen.

1:44:15 Like, I love creating those fans-first

1:44:16 moments that people have never experienced.

1:44:18 That's where this all comes into play.

1:44:20 Where could we play next?

1:44:21 You never know.

1:44:22 I'm excited for you on a beach.

1:44:23 I'm excited for your I'm excited for your promotional

1:44:26 brain to continue to do absurd things.

1:44:27 I I just want to let you know that.

1:44:29 I am excited to see what you come up with, brother.

1:44:31 There's a few of them in the history.

1:44:33 Big-time promoters.

1:44:34 Obviously, you are a promoter.

1:44:36 That is That is what you are.

1:44:37 With baseball being kind of your venue and how

1:44:40 you do this, you're you're hitting on all cylinders, man.

1:44:42 We got Steel Sky home run.

1:44:45 Uh Daisy Duke pitcher with cowboy boots.

1:44:47 Obviously awesome.

1:44:48 The ninja umpire.

1:44:49 The dancing umpire.

1:44:51 All this And I don't know uh I don't know what your brainstorming room is like.

1:44:56 I don't know when or how you come about uh getting your ideas or whatever,

1:44:59 but that in of itself is probably its

1:45:01 own show that I would like to watch, brother.

1:45:04 I'd like to see your process in coming up

1:45:05 with all this and then how you think it's

1:45:07 going to go over versus how it actually goes

1:45:09 over and adjusting on the fly and all of it.

1:45:11 I I really respect what you got going on.

1:45:13 Thank you.

1:45:14 My question for you is, I mean, again,

1:45:15 we're always trying to do things that have never happened before in sports.

1:45:18 Where do you think we should play?

1:45:19 Where would be somewhere crazy or something wild

1:45:21 or something we should do that would shock people?

1:45:23 That's a good one.

1:45:24 It's a good one.

1:45:25 The moon.

1:45:26 The moon, yes, that's what we've talked about for a few years.

1:45:28 That's going to take a few years.

1:45:29 What else?

1:45:29 Okay, so something would be cool.

1:45:32 Times Square would be sick.

1:45:33 You can run it out.

1:45:34 We learned that with

1:45:35 They don't care about dimensions, which is cool.

1:45:36 Like, obviously, these football fields' dimensions are

1:45:39 Lucas Oil Stadium would show up for you.

1:45:41 Oh, that'd be wild.

1:45:42 If you did Lucas Oil But, Central Park, New York City, that'd be interesting.

1:45:46 That would be sweet.

1:45:47 Yeah.

1:45:47 So, we're thinking of large patches of grass.

1:45:49 saw Shakira did 2 million on a beach, so you mentioned the beach, that'd be

1:45:52 The beach.

1:45:53 Yeah.

1:45:53 Well, it'd be tough for the Banana Boys though to run on the sand.

1:45:56 You know, especially the Boot Scooter, you know,

1:45:58 he he's going to be in a little bit of trouble out there.

1:46:01 We'd send the Coconuts.

1:46:02 That's our That's our newest team, the Coconuts.

1:46:04 They'd be all over the beach.

1:46:05 How many teams you got total?

1:46:06 Six?

1:46:07 We got six teams, yeah, in the league, Banana Ball Championship League.

1:46:09 Go Clowns!

1:46:10 Yeah, the Indianapolis Clowns, obviously, coming in a big way.

1:46:12 How do you feel about the cosmic baseball that's happening as well?

1:46:16 Hey, anything that can make the game fun, man, we're supportive of it.

1:46:18 I mean, we're just trying to bring more people out, and, you know,

1:46:20 they're doing a great job, and I think we all win,

1:46:22 and it's an abundance mindset, and the more people that are bringing out kids

1:46:25 and families to have fun, that's a win, man.

1:46:27 Love it.

1:46:28 As baseball continues to go,

1:46:29 and your league continues to produce great baseball.

1:46:32 It only works if there's good baseball players.

1:46:35 Go ahead, Tone.

1:46:36 Yeah, Jesse, you talked about how good the the players actually are.

1:46:38 One of the cool stories earlier in the season, Tristan Peters,

1:46:41 used to play for the Savannah Bananas, is now playing on the White Sox.

1:46:44 I believe he's hitting like 284 for the White Sox.

1:46:46 So, like, I think a lot of people

1:46:48 think that it's like not actually talented baseball players,

1:46:51 but they they are, right?

1:46:52 They're some of the best baseball players in the world, correct?

1:46:54 Well, yeah, look at Jackie Bradley Jr.

1:46:56 World Series champion, All-Star, full-time player with the Clowns.

1:46:58 He hit for the cycle the other night.

1:47:00 Uh we got guys, you know, first-round picks, second-round picks.

1:47:03 They can play, and now they're just learning

1:47:04 how to do unbelievable trick plays and performances,

1:47:07 and putting it together, and that's why, man, I it's so great, you know,

1:47:10 we created this, a bunch of us, but I get to sit back and and be a fan,

1:47:14 and watch things every night, and just be like,

1:47:15 I can't believe that just happened.

1:47:17 And that's what's exciting about it.

1:47:18 Nothing surprises I mean,

1:47:19 we get surprised every single night, and that's what's crazy.

1:47:22 Live events, obviously.

1:47:23 AJ has the last question for you here, Jessie.

1:47:25 Yeah, Jessie, I'm curious like when you're

1:47:27 acquiring new talent, I guess first off, what's the process like trying to find

1:47:30 guys that are very talented baseball players,

1:47:31 but also like entertainers and big personalities.

1:47:34 And do you set expectations when they sign?

1:47:36 Because I'm thinking like, "Hey, we have a pop-up show on Thursday.

1:47:39 I thought I'm just here playing Kyle Field.

1:47:40 I don't want to I'm tired.

1:47:41 I don't want to go over here and play a game

1:47:43 for a thousand people." How do you deal with those kind of things?

1:47:45 Well, we're fortunate.

1:47:46 When you join us, you know what it's about.

1:47:47 It's about fans first, you know, the reason we're here,

1:47:49 the reason we get to play in front of record-breaking is because we

1:47:52 put the fans first and we're the first one signing autographs and meeting them.

1:47:54 And we're on all the time.

1:47:55 But yeah, it was hard at first, guys.

1:47:57 No one wanted to play for us.

1:47:58 I mean, it was impossible.

1:47:59 Um but now, you know, we have thousands of guys,

1:48:01 thousands of players and that are reaching out and it's it's

1:48:04 amazing to see because they know they have to be fans first,

1:48:07 they know we have to perform.

1:48:09 But I mean, we're getting like Darnell Sweeney,

1:48:10 a Broadway one of the best Broadway performers ever.

1:48:12 He played college ball at UCLA.

1:48:14 Back with Gerrit Cole, Trevor Bauer.

1:48:16 And so now, he's bringing that world together.

1:48:18 So when you can mix the worlds of entertainment and sports together,

1:48:21 man, it's fun to watch.

1:48:22 I'm trying to start I'm trying to start being accurate with throwing.

1:48:27 I'm trying.

1:48:28 We're ready for you in Indy, man.

1:48:29 You put on a show.

1:48:30 I Well, yeah, I would like the show to be one that doesn't look ass.

1:48:34 I've seen it.

1:48:35 You know, we saw Tino.

1:48:37 Yeah, Tino Martinez.

1:48:38 That was awesome.

1:48:39 Don't want that.

1:48:40 That was cool.

1:48:41 Saw Russell Wilson get gunned out after a guy goes in between the legs

1:48:44 and he These guys are throwing 93 miles an hour, 94 miles an hour.

1:48:47 It's not easy.

1:48:48 THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING.

1:48:49 I NEED TO PRACTICE.

1:48:50 AND MIKE FREEZE got screwed, too.

1:48:52 Yeah, Kyle.

1:48:52 Backflip, was that the backflip catch?

1:48:54 Which one was the backflip catch?

1:48:55 We don't need that.

1:48:57 Who did that up?

1:48:57 Yeah, yeah, they'll they'll make you look bad with the trick play.

1:48:59 THAT'S WHAT THEY DO.

1:49:00 THEY'LL MOSS THE OUT OF YOU.

1:49:02 they do.

1:49:02 Everybody, you know,

1:49:03 you cuz you get a little people older than what it maybe your demo is.

1:49:07 Cuz I assume your demo is what it is, right?

1:49:09 We all see what it is.

1:49:11 And then all their parents and they love it.

1:49:13 I think these people really enjoy their lives whenever

1:49:15 they're watching uh Bananas baseball and everything like that.

1:49:18 So, you got some people that are like, "I hate it.

1:49:20 It's corny or whatever." And it's like, "I'm baseball.

1:49:22 This is bad for baseball." It's like, "All right, go out there.

1:49:25 You got a pitcher out there actually

1:49:27 throwing." They're actually cooking while also doing

1:49:29 a full Zanesville pain and then stepping on the mound and 100% 88 or whatever.

1:49:37 It's like, "How that These guys unbelievable baseball." I didn't

1:49:39 know there was this much talent in the baseball world.

1:49:42 I enjoy what you're doing.

1:49:43 I appreciate what you're doing.

1:49:44 And uh keep trailblazing, brother.

1:49:46 Can't wait to watch what you do next.

1:49:48 I appreciate you guys.

1:49:49 Ladies and gentlemen, that's Jesse Cole.

1:49:51 Yeah, Jesse.

1:49:53 They're going to do docs and classes about him.

1:49:55 Oh, yeah.

1:49:56 Oh, yeah.

1:49:57 Anybody that does the whole mattress gimmick Mhm.

1:49:59 1.7 million in debt, belief, and two tickets.

1:50:03 He has that.

1:50:04 We sold two tickets the first season where they're It's like,

1:50:06 "Yeah, that's part of the whole story." Three months.

1:50:08 It's like seven bucks production.

1:50:09 Yeah, want to see that, though.

1:50:11 What's that?

1:50:12 That that documentary seven bucks as well, though.

1:50:14 That That's crazy.

1:50:15 Yeah, you know, seven bucks always storyline, two tickets is another one.

1:50:18 Fans first.

1:50:19 Seven bucks is the right Yeah.

1:50:21 Yeah, only had $7.

1:50:22 saw the show.

1:50:23 Seven bucks in mono, baby.

1:50:25 That's right.

1:50:25 All you need.

1:50:26 We're going to have a goat joining us here in a matter of moments.

1:50:29 I believe there is some technical

1:50:30 difficulties happening behind the scenes there.

1:50:33 That tends to happen.

1:50:34 Thank you.

1:50:35 Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now is a Olympic gold medalist,

1:50:41 an 18-time LPGA champion, a three-time major winner, fresh off a back-to-backs.

1:50:50 Ladies and gentlemen, Nelly Korda.

1:50:52 YEAH, NELLY.

1:50:55 HOW ARE YOU, NELLY?

1:50:55 HI.

1:50:56 How are you?

1:50:57 Thanks for having me.

1:50:58 Thank you for joining us.

1:50:59 Uh anytime we get a chance to chitchat with goats of their sport,

1:51:02 which you certainly are on the trajectory of being,

1:51:05 and you can be humble and modest if you want

1:51:06 to, but we will uh speak the truth for you.

1:51:09 We are lucky and thankful to do so, especially coming off of back-to-backs.

1:51:11 How are feeling?

1:51:12 We're swinging well right now.

1:51:13 Hey, we're hitting the ball well right now in LA.

1:51:14 Is that what we're feeling?

1:51:16 My Whoop says I'm in the red, so I'm feeling pretty good today.

1:51:20 Oh, celebration.

1:51:21 Okay, we got after it a little bit last

1:51:23 I did just end in Mexico, so I may have had a shot of tequila and a margarita.

1:51:29 Why?

1:51:29 Why?

1:51:29 Why?

1:51:30 Maybe.

1:51:31 Maybe a little Corona.

1:51:33 Why?

1:51:33 Some mezcal.

1:51:35 Yeah, I read your answer where I believe it was reported that you were

1:51:39 the only top 10 player that was in Mexico fresh off of a major,

1:51:43 the Chevron Championship, which was your third major win week before,

1:51:47 and you said something about like the resort's beautiful,

1:51:49 the food food is amazing, the course wonderful.

1:51:52 My fiance and I just came down here, lived our life.

1:51:54 You win that tournament, okay?

1:51:56 So, let's talk about you winning a major

1:51:58 one week and then you enjoying life winning.

1:52:00 Are you Now, you're obviously a stone-cold killer in this entire thing,

1:52:04 but do you feel as if you're playing your best golf right now?

1:52:07 And what is it about your game that you

1:52:08 can feel is really on whenever you're playing your best?

1:52:12 Honestly, I just feel like I'm living my best life.

1:52:15 I think that correlates to maybe my on-course play.

1:52:20 You know, it's it is funny like going

1:52:23 from a major to a tournament the next week,

1:52:27 like Mexico I think was the best transition because Monday I sat by the pool.

1:52:32 Oh, yeah.

1:52:33 Coconut like it was I was literally living my best life,

1:52:36 but I had to like remind myself on Tuesday.

1:52:38 I'm like, I'm here to work.

1:52:40 I need to get my butt into gear.

1:52:42 But I think I'm just kind of like I I've said it in many times.

1:52:46 I'm like, I'm I'm living my best life.

1:52:48 Like I'm having so much fun on the golf course,

1:52:51 but I think it came because last year was a really hard year for me.

1:52:56 I didn't win at all.

1:52:57 I came off of a year that I won seven times,

1:53:00 and I think I'm just maturing and like

1:53:03 realizing that I need to really enjoy these moments.

1:53:06 It's not going to last forever.

1:53:08 So, um in a way that so many legends have told me to smell

1:53:13 the roses and this week I actually have time to smell the roses.

1:53:16 Okay, well, congratulations on getting that point in your mind.

1:53:19 I know that's a freeing feeling, I would assume,

1:53:21 especially for the top of the top whenever it comes to competitive spirit.

1:53:24 You talked about having a bad season following having a good season.

1:53:28 You said you living your life and enjoying it is a big piece of the recovery.

1:53:31 I assume you're beating yourself down pretty good last year and how

1:53:34 do you kind of work your way out of that, actually?

1:53:36 Because we talked to Mikaela Shiffrin who had

1:53:39 a bad Olympics bouncing back on the other side.

1:53:41 Obviously, every NFL guy has had a terrible season had to bounce back.

1:53:45 For you, what was it like going through that journey?

1:53:48 And is this the first time because all

1:53:49 we've known of you is like being dominant.

1:53:53 Is this like the first time that you really had kind of journey

1:53:56 through those waters of maybe doubt or change or anything like that?

1:54:01 Definitely not.

1:54:01 I mean, every season has a different story.

1:54:04 Um yeah, I won my first major in 2021.

1:54:08 I won the Olympics that year and then I didn't

1:54:11 really have I didn't really back it up until 2024 again.

1:54:15 So, I always have I think it's always just a roller coaster sports.

1:54:20 I mean, they humble you in every possible way and for me what's important,

1:54:26 I feel like a lot of athletes what I've

1:54:27 seen is that they try to reinvent the wheel.

1:54:30 Like they try and do something different.

1:54:32 They try to change everything just because it's not working

1:54:35 and I stayed with the same people on my team.

1:54:38 I have the same caddy.

1:54:39 I have the same physio.

1:54:40 Like no matter what happened, like the same people were riding it out with me

1:54:46 and that like gave me a sense of comfort that okay,

1:54:48 I can definitely get through this.

1:54:50 Like we're all in this together and that no matter what,

1:54:53 like I've seen so many athletes bounce back

1:54:56 and just it doesn't mean that I can't do it.

1:54:59 Like I can do it as well.

1:55:00 So, I think I just was more of like trying to have

1:55:03 a mindset change where it's like I get into a situation that I'm like,

1:55:08 "Okay, I'm screwed here." Where back to the past I'd be like,

1:55:11 "Oh god, here we go again.

1:55:13 Like, I'm in a divot.

1:55:15 I left myself the worst possible spot." And now I'm like, "I'll figure it out.

1:55:19 Like, it's not the end it's not the end of the world.

1:55:23 I'm not just going to pick up my stuff and walk off the golf course." Like,

1:55:27 "I'll figure it out.

1:55:28 I'll move on." And my dad always said growing up, he's like,

1:55:31 "Just play golf like you find the ball, you hit it again.

1:55:34 You find the ball, you hit it again." Things are nice whenever it's simple.

1:55:38 You know, I it would be nice to have your swing,

1:55:40 too, I will your swing is unbelievable.

1:55:45 We obviously, having you on the program today

1:55:48 has forced us all to learn more about you, which we should have done years ago.

1:55:52 We'd like to let you know that.

1:55:52 You turned pro at 17, 27 now,

1:55:55 life as a pro for basically a majority of your, you know,

1:55:58 adult life now at this point.

1:56:00 you're a legend, but what we did quickly

1:56:02 learn is all the slow-mo shots of your swing.

1:56:05 Outrageous.

1:56:06 Okay, I have a daughter, McKenzie, she turned three today.

1:56:09 She's turned three.

1:56:11 Happy birthday.

1:56:12 I will tell her you said that.

1:56:14 She will look up to you, Nelly.

1:56:15 Hopefully, we will have a golf swing that we can potentially work on.

1:56:19 When did you start and are you ever changing your swing?

1:56:23 Are we Have you had the same swing your whole life?

1:56:26 Oh my gosh, if you guys look at my swing from like 2013, you would be like, "Oh,

1:56:31 that is That is so gross." I have I give

1:56:37 like a big shout out to my coach, David Whelan.

1:56:39 Like, he is the one that built my swing.

1:56:41 Like, and also my dad, my parents, like,

1:56:44 they spent so many hours with me just working on tempo.

1:56:48 Like, that is the one thing that they ingrained in my brain.

1:56:51 And my dad always referred to it as like, "Coca-Cola.

1:56:54 Coca-Cola." So, that was like the key.

1:56:57 Yes.

1:56:58 It was super simple, but it was like the key to having a very fluid swing.

1:57:03 But, there's been so many times.

1:57:05 I mean, like I see all the smallest of pieces in my swing.

1:57:09 Like, I see it if it's laid off or if I'm

1:57:11 a little bent over or if I'm a little too tall,

1:57:13 but I always revert back to the same tendencies.

1:57:17 I think so many golfers, athletes will tell you especially because golf is so

1:57:21 technical that you always revert back to your old tendencies.

1:57:26 And like right now, what I'm working on, I think the biggest

1:57:28 thing that I changed from last year actually is I have higher shoes.

1:57:34 So, I'm trying to actually get closer to the ground with my chest.

1:57:39 And with that being,

1:57:40 I actually get a little bit deeper in my swing and I hinge it a little faster.

1:57:46 So, it's just it's literally like the smallest of things,

1:57:49 but yeah, I mean, golfers are crazy.

1:57:52 I'm crazy just to let you know.

1:57:53 I know, I think you HAVE TO BE.

1:57:55 I'LL TELL YOU WHAT I'M crazy and my swing is what we like to classify as ass.

1:57:59 You know, so I'm trying to learn anything I possibly can.

1:58:01 All I know, I was invited down to the Masters, first time ever.

1:58:04 It was beautiful.

1:58:05 There was an event where there was a golf coach out

1:58:07 of from Iowa and he put me through a couple drills.

1:58:10 He was going to make me a scratch golfer

1:58:11 and every drill was basically look like Nelly looks.

1:58:14 That's what I realized from Here, put your head on a brick wall, don't move it.

1:58:18 Okay, don't move it brick wall.

1:58:19 Let's go ahead and forward lean and that entire thing.

1:58:21 Go ahead and load up on your back foot.

1:58:22 You should be able to lift your left foot, but you shouldn't do that obviously.

1:58:25 You know, you have the perfect That is That's fantastic.

1:58:28 It'd be really cool to have that for my daughter.

1:58:30 And what I'm hearing you say is you always go back to your tendencies.

1:58:33 Her first time learning, she's got We got to get a good one.

1:58:35 Yeah, yeah.

1:58:36 We got to get a good We got to get a good coach in there.

1:58:38 We got to get a good coach.

1:58:41 Coca-Cola.

1:58:42 Coca-Cola.

1:58:43 Yeah, exactly.

1:58:43 Coca-Cola.

1:58:45 I mean, you've had a couple weeks to work on it since the Masters.

1:58:48 Like, let What's your swing update?

1:58:50 Is it working?

1:58:52 look

1:58:51 Where's the club?

1:58:52 Does it still coming out of pocket.

1:58:53 Now Nelly, I got to let you know I have not played a single time since.

1:58:58 But if I was to get out there,

1:59:00 I think I'm getting in that thing and I want to do this Nelly.

1:59:03 Nobody wants me to do it.

1:59:04 I want to go here, here, Oh god.

1:59:07 here, right to there.

1:59:09 That's what I want to do.

1:59:10 I get it right into the spot.

1:59:12 I mean there have there has been players that have paused at the top.

1:59:15 I mean you look at Viktor Hovland, he's like had like a pause at the top.

1:59:20 Cam Young.

1:59:21 Cam Young, is he good?

1:59:22 I don't know.

1:59:23 He stops that thing right here.

1:59:25 Yeah, but he doesn't put it directly in front

1:59:26 of his forehead before he takes it back.

1:59:28 Well, it doesn't matter how I get there.

1:59:30 That's what I'm talking about.

1:59:31 It kind of does though.

1:59:32 That's kind of what she's saying it does.

1:59:34 Swing your swing.

1:59:35 Swing your swing.

1:59:36 Like boom.

1:59:37 I have been Nelly and I'm a ass.

1:59:38 I need a new one.

1:59:40 I need to build a brand new boom.

1:59:43 So as long as I get there, I think that's all that really matters.

1:59:45 Cuz I'm going to be honest Nelly,

1:59:46 I don't think I'm ever going to get your swing.

1:59:48 I don't think that's ever going to happen.

1:59:50 Hopefully not.

1:59:52 been working on it since I was two years old, so It's like she's always late.

1:59:56 So my brother's late.

1:59:58 Oh my god, we got to get her to work ASAP.

2:00:01 Speaking of, I need to be a better dad.

2:00:02 Go ahead D Buzz.

2:00:03 Speaking of, you started too.

2:00:04 This research saw both of your parents are professional tennis players.

2:00:08 I know your sister's a a golfer as well.

2:00:11 How did you get to golf and not tennis especially starting that early?

2:00:15 Um I was actually really that annoying little

2:00:18 sister that wanted to do everything big sis did.

2:00:21 Um yeah, just like I think I just fell in love with it

2:00:24 because it was a sport that all of us could do together.

2:00:28 You know, tennis is just so one-on-one and I

2:00:30 think with golf also people may not realize it,

2:00:34 but it doesn't matter how good or bad you are.

2:00:37 Like you guys can all go on the golf course and share the range together,

2:00:41 go out on the golf go out on the golf course and play around

2:00:44 and it doesn't matter like you know how

2:00:45 many pro-ams I've played and they've been like,

2:00:48 "Oh, this is my first time holding a club." And I'm like, "Well, this is great.

2:00:52 Let's have a day." And I don't know.

2:00:55 I just I think I correlate the two, like family time and golf,

2:00:59 and that's like one of the things that drove my love for the game early on.

2:01:02 And then, I love competing.

2:01:04 Like, I love going head-to-head.

2:01:05 But, my brother, which by the way, he's a huge fan of your guys' show.

2:01:10 He was so pumped of going on.

2:01:12 He's a tennis player, and he played hockey growing up.

2:01:16 He thought golf was just so boring.

2:01:17 And then now, he um is a professional tennis player.

2:01:20 Yeah, thanks for leaving him out, D.

2:01:21 But, good luck to him.

2:01:22 And shout-out to the whole family.

2:01:24 We continue digitally with a goat Sorry, bro.

2:01:27 the shout-out.

2:01:28 Yeah, please do.

2:01:29 Love you, bro.

2:01:29 Love you, dude.

2:01:30 Uh we continue digitally as SportsCenter picks up here on ESPN.

2:01:33 That's Nelly Korda.

2:01:33 We appreciate you all.

2:01:34 Goodbye.

2:01:35 Okay, we're still live, Nelly.

2:01:36 Great wave.

2:01:37 Good touch.

2:01:38 Good touch at the end there.

2:01:39 That was good touch.

2:01:39 That's very golf wave.

2:01:40 The golf wave.

2:01:42 mean to leave Sebastian out, either, bro.

2:01:43 Oh, sure.

2:01:45 Yeah.

2:01:45 See, we love C-Bass over here, all right?

2:01:47 Yes, we certainly do.

2:01:48 We love the way he checks the watch.

2:01:50 Checks the watch.

2:01:52 We love everything about that, obviously.

2:01:55 Uh you talked about playing with amateurs.

2:01:57 You did something that's the complete opposite of that, I do believe.

2:01:59 Go ahead, Tone.

2:02:00 Yeah, Nelly, you also talked about swinging your swing uh and being competitive.

2:02:03 I watched a couple weeks ago,

2:02:04 you and Scottie Scheffler hitting draws into a green.

2:02:08 Um how cool was it to to play with Scottie?

2:02:10 And like, when you get in those situations

2:02:12 with obviously the two world number ones,

2:02:14 are you guys sharing swing thoughts,

2:02:15 or your swings are so different that you're not?

2:02:18 And then, being competitive,

2:02:19 if you two are playing together, who's getting strokes?

2:02:23 You know, we do these uh TaylorMade Super Shoes at the end of the year.

2:02:27 And like, that's when we all get together.

2:02:29 And it's just so much fun.

2:02:31 Um especially like after the years that Scottie has had,

2:02:34 and it's so cool to see always on my sheet

2:02:36 that I get to do um a a video shoot with Scottie.

2:02:42 And um I think that for for sure like

2:02:45 we're very competitive but it's also like super light-hearted

2:02:48 during the events and to see like the way

2:02:52 that he thinks about golf it's it's really unique how

2:02:56 every single player thinks about their shots and the way

2:02:59 that they execute like I did one with Tommy

2:03:01 Fleetwood and I love Tommy Fleetwood like he is

2:03:05 by far like my favorite golfer of all time.

2:03:08 I just love his personality and his swing and then I like

2:03:11 do something with Scotty and I just see like how much he works

2:03:15 the ball and I'm just like he's you're such a talent and for me

2:03:18 I I try to simplify the game as much as possible and I

2:03:23 definitely think that like every golfer is a complete nut but those those times

2:03:29 that we all get together and we kind of share our own

2:03:32 thoughts about like how we want to execute the shots then we're

2:03:35 like oh my gosh like we're all like mad scientists in a way.

2:03:39 Yeah, we are.

2:03:40 Talk about Einstein and Oppenheimer.

2:03:42 We we're big on the scientist but you would have to be because

2:03:44 everything is what like a 15th of a centimeter is potentially Taller cleats.

2:03:49 A complete loss.

2:03:50 What's that?

2:03:51 Taller shoes.

2:03:51 Yeah, exactly.

2:03:52 Yeah, they made some different cleats for me

2:03:53 a little different sole all of a sudden.

2:03:56 Oh.

2:03:56 Oh, well I got to bend over I guess now.

2:03:58 They're nice shoes to walk in I assume I assume they're very nice to walk in.

2:04:01 I don't know how They're great.

2:04:03 They're my feet are very happy but yeah it's like all about you

2:04:05 like miss hit it by a centimeter and this thing goes way right.

2:04:09 Career over.

2:04:11 It's just about like centimeters in golf but it's

2:04:14 so like my I would talk to my dad so many times and like he played he played

2:04:18 tennis and he would feel a gram in his racket.

2:04:23 A gram.

2:04:23 I mean that's like a doll that's a dollar bill.

2:04:25 So everyone every athlete just has they all have their own quirks.

2:04:29 Yeah, absolutely.

2:04:30 Whenever you are a master of your sport you're going

2:04:32 to know it inside and out you certainly are that.

2:04:35 I I don't know so you're 27, you started at two, it's 25 years.

2:04:40 Okay, I just turned 39.

2:04:41 Let's assume I start next year.

2:04:43 Mhm.

2:04:43 So, when I turn 65 There you go.

2:04:47 I don't know.

2:04:47 I think your swing speed's going to just decline though.

2:04:50 No, science.

2:04:51 Nelly, you don't know about this cuz you're still competing.

2:04:54 We got science.

2:04:55 THAT SWING SPEED MIGHT go up to be honest.

2:04:57 You know, there is certainly going to be a collapse,

2:04:59 a big cliff coming, but I think that thing can only go up.

2:05:02 And then I'll start playing smarter golf.

2:05:04 I saw your average 283.

2:05:06 Is that right off the tee box, 283-ish?

2:05:09 Yeah, but I honestly never hit my shots 100%.

2:05:13 One, I think my back would break.

2:05:15 And two, I feel like there's way more control

2:05:17 when you don't try to smash every single ball.

2:05:20 Like, I don't not want to swing out of my shoes ever.

2:05:23 And I think that's what I see with a lot of amateurs is like,

2:05:26 they get that driver in their hands and they're like,

2:05:28 "Okay, like, I'm going to grip and rip right now." AJ.

2:05:33 Yeah, that is what we're doing.

2:05:35 Nelly, how many times I get a chance to do this?

2:05:37 I don't know.

2:05:37 I like How many golf balls do you lose a round?

2:05:41 That, see?

2:05:42 WHY ARE WE BRINGING THAT UP?

2:05:44 HOW ABOUT HOW MANY THINGS HOW MANY TIMES I GET TO actually swing Mhm.

2:05:48 out of my shoes and it actually count.

2:05:50 I'm at least a two sleeve guy though.

2:05:51 Yeah, but you're not going to get me through a full 18.

2:05:53 Yeah, right.

2:05:54 I'm at 12, 13 holes, I got to go.

2:05:56 We going It's so long.

2:05:58 And then the walking?

2:05:59 Jeez.

2:06:00 I did that a couple times out out at the American Century in Tahoe.

2:06:05 Bruised all my toes, blisters everywhere, exhausted, so sore.

2:06:10 I'm like, "Fuck all this.

2:06:11 My swing sucks.

2:06:12 I'm not good.

2:06:13 I'm getting embarrassed in front of people and my entire body hurts from walking

2:06:17 a a mountain." I feel like a John Daly used to walk these things.

2:06:21 Mhm.

2:06:21 Patrick Reed's stomping through these rounds.

2:06:23 Oh, yeah.

2:06:24 And I'm out here dying.

2:06:25 It was just a bad experience.

2:06:26 I retired from the game two years, Nelly.

2:06:28 I put the sticks down.

2:06:29 I retired, I quit.

2:06:30 But now you have a new swing thought, so you're making a comeback.

2:06:33 Yep.

2:06:34 Okay, cool.

2:06:34 It's right here.

2:06:35 Pickleball.

2:06:36 Yeah.

2:06:37 Which is the superior?

2:06:38 Yeah.

2:06:39 If we were to do you say golfers are athletes?

2:06:42 Yeah.

2:06:42 Yes, definitely.

2:06:45 Perfect.

2:06:45 We're selling it here.

2:06:47 Hold on, what happened?

2:06:48 So, that happens?

2:06:49 You get said you're not a People say you're not an athlete?

2:06:51 That's I mean, that's kind of like, you know,

2:06:53 the what they always say is like golf is like the retirement sport, right?

2:06:57 But, pickleball came in.

2:06:58 like he goes out and plays like they walk four days,

2:07:01 18 holes, and it's not just that.

2:07:03 Like, we're walking Monday through Wednesday, also.

2:07:05 Like, we're in the gym.

2:07:07 We're working hard.

2:07:07 We're practicing.

2:07:08 And like, people actually experience that for the week, and they're dead.

2:07:12 And we do that like weeks in a row.

2:07:14 So, I've always heard that, and I love that we're settling it here.

2:07:17 Yeah, absolutely.

2:07:18 We'll be the authority on that.

2:07:19 I'm sure people will take us seriously.

2:07:21 Yeah, yeah.

2:07:21 I'm sure that's right.

2:07:22 We're the right people to do that.

2:07:24 People don't even think I'm an athlete, you know?

2:07:25 And I'm not, in the grand scheme of things.

2:07:27 You are definitely.

2:07:28 Golfers higher up in the athlete community than a punter in the NFL, definitely.

2:07:33 So, yeah, I would love to say you guys super athletes, if I had to say anything.

2:07:38 Perfect.

2:07:38 I mean, that's just How are you with ball sports?

2:07:40 Do you throw?

2:07:40 Do you throw?

2:07:41 Catch?

2:07:42 Yeah, I throw.

2:07:42 I throw.

2:07:43 Yeah, I've actually just become a big Packers fan.

2:07:47 Um so, I've just gotten into football.

2:07:51 Um I have my Chiefs head right here.

2:07:53 Wow, how come?

2:07:54 You just got into This is brand new?

2:07:56 You're a Packers fan?

2:07:57 They're going to love to hear this.

2:07:58 Ty is going to love to hear this.

2:08:00 Yeah, so my fiance, he's a huge Packers fan,

2:08:03 and I'm kind of marrying into it, and I've like full I've fully sent into it.

2:08:07 I love it.

2:08:08 Been out to Lambeau Field.

2:08:10 I think it's the greatest place in the world.

2:08:12 I've been on the field, like so cool.

2:08:14 I love go I love watching other sports,

2:08:17 and I think the atmosphere there was super, super cool.

2:08:21 Hey, listen, they're going to love to hear that.

2:08:24 And the NFL as a whole, I don't want to speak for everybody,

2:08:26 but we're pumped a goat is coming into our community.

2:08:29 Go ahead and embrace the hell out of it.

2:08:30 Now, they're going to be showing you a lot.

2:08:32 You know that.

2:08:32 You you you start poking your head at those games.

2:08:34 The NFL is certainly going to get the most.

2:08:36 Well, and there is Nelly Korda, by the way,

2:08:38 the greatest of all time whenever it comes to the LPGA.

2:08:40 She is a massive fan.

2:08:42 So, I I can't wait to watch your rise in the NFL pop culture world.

2:08:45 We're appreciative of you joining us here.

2:08:47 AJ has a question for you, actually, Nelly.

2:08:49 Yeah, no, you mentioned how amateurs will, you know, swing out of their shoes.

2:08:52 I guess I've seen you give some swing tips to, you know,

2:08:55 maybe scrubby terrible players like myself and and Pat sometimes.

2:08:58 But, what I guess what are some of the most common mistakes that you

2:09:01 see where I know you get paired up in pro ams all the time.

2:09:04 And you so you've seen every all the range of golfers.

2:09:06 Like, what are the most common things that bad golfers like us do?

2:09:11 Well, there's a few.

2:09:12 How long we got?

2:09:14 We got some time.

2:09:15 I would say I would say the first mistake

2:09:18 that I see is like on the range, right?

2:09:21 You're warming up to go play.

2:09:22 Like, if you don't know where you're aiming on the range,

2:09:25 there's no way that you know where you're aiming.

2:09:28 Like, how do you know where you're where the Like, you skip the range?

2:09:32 Well, then that's your number one problem.

2:09:34 SWINGS DO I HAVE?

2:09:36 HOW MANY HOURS YOU WANT ME AT THIS PLACE?

2:09:37 And then THE ROUND ITSELF OUT THERE.

2:09:40 It just takes 10 minutes.

2:09:41 That's it.

2:09:42 10 minutes before your tee.

2:09:43 You kind of we call that calibration.

2:09:46 Those are our like calibration drills.

2:09:47 Your your eyes change every single day.

2:09:50 And having that stick down on the ground and going from ball to flag

2:09:54 and knowing like that your your mind is and your eyes are calibrating,

2:09:58 that's really important.

2:10:00 So, first step, always have a stick on the range.

2:10:03 Two, I mean, there, you know, working on your short game,

2:10:07 your putts, your chips around the greens.

2:10:09 I mean, that's so much fun to for other people to do.

2:10:12 And at the end of the day, I would say yes,

2:10:15 it's so easy to compare your swing to like the perfect swing of like Adam Scott.

2:10:19 Or a a of people compare their swing to mine.

2:10:21 But, at the end of the day like swing your own swing like find the ball,

2:10:27 hit it again, find the ball, hit it again,

2:10:29 and then once you start to get hooked on the game

2:10:32 like then you can kind of dissect like okay, where should I get better?

2:10:35 Maybe I should go get a lesson,

2:10:37 but if you're not inclined to go get a lesson

2:10:40 like my first tip is always learn how to aim.

2:10:45 Learn how to aim.

2:10:46 for that.

2:10:46 Well, it sounds like we got to get on the god damn range, too.

2:10:49 Yeah.

2:10:50 Who needs to calibrate my aim?

2:10:51 I have a hard time aiming, too.

2:10:52 Like of last week I or yesterday,

2:10:57 I was starting to aim so far right and that's one of my tendencies

2:11:00 is like my head starts to tilt a little back at address

2:11:04 and I start to kind of aim a little bit more right

2:11:06 and then I just start to swing a draw a little too much.

2:11:09 Let's say for the people that are asking out there, not me.

2:11:12 Okay, the people that are out there.

2:11:14 What am I aiming?

2:11:14 My shoulders, my feet?

2:11:16 What the hell like I've the feet is where I'm trying to Is that what I'm doing?

2:11:20 I'm done.

2:11:21 feet, but everything has to be in line.

2:11:23 Your feet have to be in line with your knees,

2:11:25 your knees have to be in line with your hips,

2:11:26 your hips have to be in line with your shoulders.

2:11:28 Yeah, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.

2:11:32 And I skull the ball, it goes So I I mean, I'm just telling you guys, you know,

2:11:40 if you're picking up golf, you're going to be crazy and you just get used to it.

2:11:45 I love that.

2:11:45 Well, it sounds like the craziness is certainly working for you and we're

2:11:50 incredibly pumped that we get a chance to watch this career continue to go.

2:11:54 We all know Miss Patty Berg.

2:11:57 Okay?

2:11:58 1937-1958 legend.

2:12:00 Yeah, PB.

2:12:01 Okay, yeah.

2:12:02 Patty Berg.

2:12:03 PB 18.

2:12:04 Yeah, Patty Berg.

2:12:05 Now, she could spin it.

2:12:07 Mhm.

2:12:07 Y'all got 15 majors.

2:12:10 You all the time in the world to go chase.

2:12:12 We can't wait to watch it all.

2:12:14 Congrats to you getting back on top of the LPGA

2:12:17 and also just seemingly golf and life as a whole.

2:12:19 Cheers to you, Nelly.

2:12:20 Thank you for joining us.

2:12:22 Thank you, guys.

2:12:23 I really appreciate it.

2:12:24 Okay, how much season do you have left?

2:12:26 Um until November.

2:12:28 Holy Yeah, long.

2:12:31 Okay, will you join us again through the season here or Hopefully,

2:12:35 if you guys have me back.

2:12:36 Well, we got golf season happening.

2:12:37 The weather's getting warm.

2:12:38 So, this swing might be coming together here.

2:12:41 I got some selfish questions to ask.

2:12:43 Do you have what do Um So, I'm a little past that point of like,

2:12:47 you know, the I can hit the ball.

2:12:49 I can figure it out.

2:12:50 I can score below nine.

2:12:51 I'm a hook.

2:12:52 You know, three years ago I started playing.

2:12:54 One of your swings was one of the swings I watched, obviously.

2:12:57 I'm trying to break 80 though.

2:12:59 So, what's the tips?

2:13:00 I know most people come out, "Hey,

2:13:01 let me just get a couple more birdies." But, what

2:13:03 is your advice to breaking 80 for the first time?

2:13:06 Never done it.

2:13:08 My well, one, do you have a stick on the range?

2:13:11 I don't.

2:13:12 You don't have alignment sticks?

2:13:13 I don't I have it, but I don't use it.

2:13:14 That's that's typical.

2:13:16 Wake up.

2:13:16 You got TO AIM, BRO.

2:13:17 WAKE UP.

2:13:18 YOU'RE NOT EVEN LISTENING.

2:13:19 SHUT UP.

2:13:19 NELLY'S TALKING.

2:13:20 LEARN HOW TO AIM, BRO.

2:13:22 YOU'RE MISSING THE WHOLE RANGE.

2:13:24 SHE CAN CONTINUE, NELLY, PLEASE.

2:13:26 TWO, TWO, like do you go out and actually like work on any part of your game?

2:13:31 Like, okay, like let's say just go out and put four tees around

2:13:36 the cup at four feet and like try to make eight in a row.

2:13:40 Like, go around.

2:13:41 Like Okay.

2:13:42 These are like the smallest of things that I do those.

2:13:46 game.

2:13:46 Like, go out and chip a little bit.

2:13:48 Like, do do drills.

2:13:50 Like, it's it's a lot of fun to actually do drills.

2:13:55 I like won't leave a spot until I've completed a really hard drill.

2:13:59 But, I would say like one, making sure that you know how to aim.

2:14:05 Two, not swinging out of your shoes.

2:14:08 Learning how to like control your swing speed.

2:14:11 Like, okay, if I want to hit an 80 yard shot, I can hit it with two clubs.

2:14:17 I can hit it with a 54 degree and I can hit

2:14:20 it with a 58 degree because I'm starting to control my swing speed.

2:14:26 So it's like it's like things like that that like really set apart

2:14:31 I think like really good golfers to like beginners where they're like okay ball,

2:14:37 I'm just trying to hit it really hard.

2:14:38 Like then you're like okay,

2:14:40 I'm learning how to start my ball on the right target to make four foot putts.

2:14:45 Like it's just like the smallest of things that will actually add up and then

2:14:51 I'm worried.

2:14:52 80 for you.

2:14:53 I'm worried.

2:14:53 Thank you.

2:14:54 I'm never going to do any of that.

2:14:55 I got a bad feeling.

2:14:57 I need to get the bug to start making four foot putts.

2:15:00 Right here.

2:15:01 Look at it.

2:15:01 We got We got it right here.

2:15:02 Please send it my way.

2:15:04 Please.

2:15:05 Yeah.

2:15:05 I couldn't imagine the amount of time you've spent on the practice range,

2:15:08 the practice greens, all those things throughout your entire life.

2:15:11 You started when you were two years old.

2:15:14 Crazy.

2:15:14 Can you send the I'm not going to do that.

2:15:17 My skin has no chance guys.

2:15:19 When I'm When I'm like 40 and 50, my skin is going to be looking like 70

2:15:24 with how much time I've spent out in the sun.

2:15:26 Yeah, but do you get a sweet uh Like Stu sink?

2:15:28 Yeah, did you see Stu sink?

2:15:29 Did you see his uh his suntan?

2:15:32 line?

2:15:33 Oh.

2:15:34 Oh, I'm sorry.

2:15:35 Is that stalker?

2:15:36 Sorry, sir.

2:15:36 Uh the most recent one.

2:15:38 It is boom.

2:15:40 Bang.

2:15:42 pretty bad.

2:15:42 No, I'm I'm like applying sunscreen religiously.

2:15:46 I do have like a really bad whoop tan.

2:15:49 Oh, wow.

2:15:50 Yeah.

2:15:51 Careful with sunscreen.

2:15:52 I came back from Mexico.

2:15:54 Like I'm definite My hand is a different color

2:15:56 to compared to me the rest of my body.

2:15:58 The golf tan lines are spectacular.

2:16:01 The socks.

2:16:02 The The socks on the feet.

2:16:03 Permanent socks.

2:16:04 Yeah, I get those all the time.

2:16:06 Like oh, you didn't take your socks off at the beach?" Funny.

2:16:09 No, I'm a professional golfer.

2:16:11 I'm like, "Shut up." Could you imagine if that's how you responded?

2:16:13 That'd be so sick.

2:16:15 Oh, sweet tan lines.

2:16:16 What?

2:16:17 Did you bury your feet at the beach?

2:16:18 No, actually I just won my third major in back-to-back in Mexico.

2:16:21 So, yep.

2:16:22 Yeah, I don't think I could do that.

2:16:24 I just I'm just like, "Yeah, you know,

2:16:26 I just own own the own the different tans." All right, well we'll do it for you.

2:16:31 We'll do it for you.

2:16:32 And so, when's the season conclude?

2:16:35 Uh a week before Thanksgiving.

2:16:39 All right, let's go.

2:16:40 Let's win this thing.

2:16:41 We're going on the ride.

2:16:42 We're going on the ride.

2:16:43 Oh, yeah.

2:16:43 You've had six straight top-two finishes, I do believe.

2:16:46 Let's go.

2:16:47 Let's see.

2:16:48 We're going to ride alongside.

2:16:49 We're so thankful that you joined us and good luck the rest of the way.

2:16:53 Thank you.

2:16:53 Thank you, guys.

2:16:54 Thanks for having me.

2:16:56 Just think about it.

2:16:58 Lift your leg up.

2:16:59 Oh, you need your Coca-Cola.

2:17:02 Oh, yeah, yeah.

2:17:02 That's a big one.

2:17:03 You're trying to grip and rip.

2:17:05 Yeah.

2:17:05 Trying to do Pepsi.

2:17:06 No.

2:17:07 It's Coca-Cola, baby.

2:17:09 That's it.

2:17:10 Smooth.

2:17:10 Yeah, nice and smooth, baby.

2:17:11 Yeah, of course.

2:17:13 All right, you're the best, ladies and gentlemen.

2:17:14 Nelly Korda.

2:17:18 Just so good at golf.

2:17:19 Yeah.

2:17:20 Filthy.

2:17:22 We're just watching clips earlier today.

2:17:25 Yeah, right.

2:17:26 Just Smoothest of all time.

2:17:28 How you doing?

2:17:28 Keep it moving.

2:17:30 I assume people do ask her about her swing all the time cuz how nice it is.

2:17:33 We probably just did the most stereotypical golf conversation she's

2:17:36 ever had every time she's had to have a conversation.

2:17:39 And I'll tell you what, awesome human for it all.

2:17:42 She's a beast over there, D-Butch.

2:17:43 Yeah, so smooth.

2:17:44 I love her game and she got some good tips.

2:17:46 Aim.

2:17:47 That's important.

2:17:48 Learn how to aim cuz I do It is It is suck when you hit the ball,

2:17:51 you compress the out of ball,

2:17:52 but you pull it and you're like, "Oh, I wasn't aimed that way." So,

2:17:55 aim in the drills and then not swinging 100%.

2:17:58 She said she never swings just 280, just not 100%.

2:18:02 I I'm I assume that's probably the same for most golfers.

2:18:05 Not Scotty.

2:18:05 Scotty feels like he's out of the tee box.

2:18:08 That's what's so frustrating is cuz like she says

2:18:10 that I feel like everything she just said is correct.

2:18:12 But then if Scotty Scheffler is the number one golfer in the world

2:18:16 for the men is swinging out of his shoes

2:18:18 every single time I'm watching him golf.

2:18:21 It's like it's crazy, but that's the whole swing your swing thing, you know.

2:18:24 Yeah, swing your swing.

2:18:25 But Scotty Scheffler told me to do the same thing.

2:18:27 Seems like the number one golfers in the world I will not

2:18:29 miss an opportunity to ask them what I need to be doing.

2:18:31 Yeah, same.

2:18:32 Both of them say swing your swing.

2:18:34 It's like my swing is ass.

2:18:36 Can you Can you give me a little something else to help me out?

2:18:39 They just find it.

2:18:40 You'll find it.

2:18:40 It's like these two are weapons.

2:18:42 Golf's in a great place.

2:18:43 Fantastic watch this weekend.

2:18:45 How about the Kentucky Derby?

2:18:46 So fun.

2:18:47 Really cool.

2:18:47 19.6 million viewers average obviously is that particular number.

2:18:53 Huge.

2:18:55 Huge show.

2:18:56 Uh congrats NBC continuing to just crush everything.

2:18:59 In the race itself, obviously a lot of lead-up,

2:19:01 a lot of shenanigans, a lot of tomfoolery,

2:19:03 a lot of quizzing, a lot of men jewel ups, a lot of scenes,

2:19:06 a lot of interviews, a lot of pre-races,

2:19:08 a lot of that build up to the Kentucky Derby,

2:19:10 the most exciting 2 minutes in sports or whatever it was.

2:19:13 It lived to the billing.

2:19:14 Golden Temple put on a hell of a show out there.

2:19:17 The fact that it was Golden Temple and Renegade at the end

2:19:20 was insane because you see where Golden Temple comes run.

2:19:22 And then did you see Renegade out of the gates?

2:19:25 The obviously he was on the rail.

2:19:27 He was in the one slot.

2:19:28 And the five horses to the right of him just just came crashing down on him.

2:19:32 So he had to pull back and then make an incredible run.

2:19:34 There was a lot of really good runs out of these horses on Saturday.

2:19:38 Yeah, the Rapoli thing with the Renegade horse I thought was really cool.

2:19:41 Like typically I feel like I will watch the Kentucky Derby, see a couple things,

2:19:46 you know, immediately after,

2:19:47 but on social media Rapoli talking to his, you know,

2:19:51 jockey basically like, "Hey, if you're going to lose,

2:19:54 it's going to be to your brother." which you mentioned earlier

2:19:56 which I didn't really even notice until I saw the Rapolly.

2:20:00 And Rapolly said, "Family won today.

2:20:02 Hey, don't cry." He like smacked super Italian.

2:20:04 Hey.

2:20:05 Yeah.

2:20:05 Yeah.

2:20:05 "Hey, listen, don't you cry today.

2:20:07 If you're going to lose anybody, you lose to your brother.

2:20:08 Family won today.

2:20:09 Okay." It was like the most Italian reaction of all time.

2:20:12 And his horse ran a great race.

2:20:14 I assume he's very proud of Renegade for the race that they ran.

2:20:17 But Golden Temple just coming flying from the back, stealing the Kentucky Derby.

2:20:22 Living like Here it is right here.

2:20:24 Hey, listen.

2:20:25 Listen.

2:20:25 Do we have sound for this?

2:20:44 Hey.

2:20:45 You're all crying.

2:20:46 Yeah.

2:20:47 Kids.

2:20:48 So You lose to your brother.

2:20:50 Family won today.

2:20:52 All right.

2:20:56 I saw Rapolly give him a smack.

2:21:00 Hey, that was super Italian of him right there.

2:21:02 Family won today.

2:21:03 Kissed him.

2:21:04 Kissed him right there on the cheek.

2:21:05 Come here.

2:21:06 Come here.

2:21:07 You see the suit?

2:21:08 proud of you.

2:21:09 Okay.

2:21:10 Baby girl over here crying.

2:21:12 That's our pride we The owner's boxes were awesome.

2:21:14 Yeah, absolutely.

2:21:15 Even like a lot of them.

2:21:16 Even the even the the winner's owner's box was awesome.

2:21:19 But every like all the that owner's box,

2:21:21 I can't remember who it was for to the right of the uh Ocelot?

2:21:25 Uh yeah, oh, which came in third, I believe.

2:21:27 Uh and then the the winner is to the left of them.

2:21:29 But like they were all like it was awesome scenes.

2:21:31 Yeah.

2:21:32 Kentucky Derby seemingly delivered on all fronts.

2:21:34 I'm going to say it.

2:21:36 I'm going to say it.

2:21:37 Oh, no.

2:21:38 I'm okay just watching it from home.

2:21:40 I can't I got to go.

2:21:41 I got to go.

2:21:41 never been booed on the ground?

2:21:43 Oh, yeah.

2:21:44 I I've been in the heat.

2:21:45 done it.

2:21:45 Oh, okay.

2:21:46 Yeah, I've done it.

2:21:47 First year out here.

2:21:48 It was my birthday weekend.

2:21:50 Obviously, it kind of always falls on that.

2:21:52 No, but I I don't think I had played yet.

2:21:56 I don't think I had played for the Colts yet.

2:21:58 But I was out here for whatever workouts.

2:22:00 Yeah, we went down there.

2:22:03 What a time.

2:22:04 What was the fit?

2:22:04 Fourth Street Live.

2:22:05 Uh shorts, obviously.

2:22:07 Boat shoes.

2:22:08 Uh tucked in shirt, sunglasses, big hat.

2:22:12 So much boozing in there.

2:22:14 It was rainy, so it was all muddy.

2:22:16 I mean, it was exactly how you think.

2:22:17 And then Fourth Street Live,

2:22:18 which is downtown Louisville, like they get after it.

2:22:21 I mean, it is I mean,

2:22:22 this guy would know better than You watched from home this week.

2:22:25 Did you Did you miss it?

2:22:26 Did you get the the itch to be down there in Louisville to Churchill Downs,

2:22:30 hallowed grounds, to watch Golden Tempo uh kind of electrify the entire race?

2:22:37 Yeah, it was a fun race.

2:22:38 It is Yeah, it's obviously very cool to go there, but it's like anything.

2:22:41 Like it's about the people you go with.

2:22:43 So yeah, I always get to go and hang out

2:22:44 with a bunch of old old teammates I don't see very often.

2:22:47 So it's awesome getting back with them.

2:22:48 But yeah, it's it's awesome,

2:22:50 but it is definitely like it's two if you go A lot of people go two full days.

2:22:53 They'll go Friday like 9:30 a.m.

2:22:56 till 6:00 or 7:00.

2:22:58 And then Saturday do the same thing.

2:22:59 So like you better strap in and watch some horse races.

2:23:03 Yeah.

2:23:03 You better strap in and just really kind of deal

2:23:05 with the whole Cuz don't you get bust in and out, too?

2:23:07 Like it's hard to get into the area, I think, right?

2:23:09 It it's Yeah, everything's everything's tough getting in and out.

2:23:11 But yeah, it's it's a process.

2:23:15 Certainly worth it, though.

2:23:16 So Hell yeah.

2:23:16 It's cool.

2:23:17 It's cool.

2:23:18 What a different world.

2:23:19 Yeah, very different world.

2:23:20 We watched a man who comes from that world who

2:23:22 was scared to say that he actually eats from that world.

2:23:25 Hit a nine horse on Friday night while

2:23:28 we were here having a nice little card night.

2:23:31 This nine horses all Bruce needed.

2:23:33 And he had been calling it from the beginning.

2:23:35 Didn't even see the nine on the graphic at the bottom

2:23:38 cuz it was hidden behind one of the ponies.

2:23:40 Bruce, this is a nice little weekend for you in horse racing, I would say.

2:23:42 The ponies delivered nicely for old Bruce Brown's bank account.

2:23:45 Yeah, it was an awesome Kentucky Oaks for me.

2:23:47 I I hit the pick six there with the the nine horse um favorite.

2:23:51 Uh I I believe it was Joe Jose Ortiz on the on the ride there as well.

2:23:56 Um but yeah, it was a great weekend, great great Kentucky Derby.

2:23:59 Congrats to Golden Tempo and and all of the connections.

2:24:02 Um unbelievable ride.

2:24:03 That final stretch run from last to first.

2:24:06 Uh it's like if you were making a a horse racing movie,

2:24:10 that's what you would want the final scene to be.

2:24:13 Um just an unbelievable ride from Ortiz to go up

2:24:15 there and and obviously catches his brother on on Renegade.

2:24:19 Um a ton was made about all the jockeys kind of switching horses.

2:24:23 Irad Ortiz had his like sort of the pick of the litter um between five horses.

2:24:27 Every uh race that Golden Tempo has ran, he has been the jockey.

2:24:32 Um and you can kind of see obviously that sort of that connection uh paying off.

2:24:36 It's not um it's not something that they're not used to, right?

2:24:39 Coming from behind and and getting all the way up there.

2:24:41 Um really cool to see it all pay off.

2:24:43 Yeah, I I enjoyed the race.

2:24:45 I enjoyed learning the story, the um uh so happy.

2:24:49 Uh So So Yeah, right?

2:24:51 Yeah, so happy.

2:24:51 So happy.

2:24:52 Mark Casse, the trainer.

2:24:53 It's crazy that much like March Madness, I find myself knowing nothing.

2:24:58 Yeah.

2:24:58 And then all of a sudden over like a two-day period,

2:25:01 I'm like massively invested in these things that I know very little about.

2:25:05 And then all of a sudden I see myself downloading a new app.

2:25:07 Yeah.

2:25:08 And then trying to figure out Shouldn't have Shouldn't have done that.

2:25:11 have to put a bank account in again and do it an entire thing again.

2:25:14 It's like wow, this is crazy how this all works out, but it does feel special.

2:25:18 And then what's next?

2:25:19 Preakness over there in Baltimore.

2:25:21 Yes.

2:25:21 Yeah, that is the the next um hopefully Golden Tempo goes.

2:25:25 Did they Go, what'd you say?

2:25:28 How about Have they said because in the past guys have

2:25:29 won the Derby and not even tried to win the Triple Crown.

2:25:31 Last year, right?

2:25:32 They they got to see how how Golden Tempo comes out.

2:25:35 So as long as he's like continuing to eat,

2:25:37 continuing eating his normal his normal amount and he's all sound,

2:25:41 I think that they're going to send Golden Temple to the Preakness,

2:25:44 but no one else from the Derby is going to go.

2:25:46 It's whether or not.

2:25:48 Um We need to see Great White get another shot at the cup.

2:25:50 Great White might be there.

2:25:51 Fresh legs.

2:25:52 That's a big

2:25:53 I don't know if we do.

2:25:54 What?

2:25:56 What?

2:25:55 Almost thrown over it.

2:25:56 How do you do that?

2:25:58 Uh cuz it the He's an outlaw.

2:25:59 rattled all the other ponies before the race.

2:26:02 Well, sorry, that's Great White football.

2:26:03 Smart move.

2:26:05 Okay.

2:26:05 It's also like the biggest horse in the world.

2:26:08 This horse is so many hands.

2:26:11 I obviously didn't know what a hand was last week,

2:26:13 but that's that's one of the biggest horses I've ever seen.

2:26:16 Yeah, I think I think Great White needs

2:26:17 to make his presence known at the Preakness, you know.

2:26:20 He was castrated.

2:26:21 at least for the pre-race routine.

2:26:23 It was the jockey's fault.

2:26:25 Absolutely.

2:26:27 He was whispering in its ear.

2:26:28 It was quite funny there.

2:26:31 Um Great White's Irish trainer,

2:26:33 they did like a interview with him in the build-up.

2:26:36 He was maybe the most confident trainer in the Preakness.

2:26:40 Yeah.

2:26:40 Hell yeah.

2:26:40 He was like, "Great White, I mean, look at him.

2:26:42 He's huge.

2:26:42 We got a good chance here." And then just bam.

2:26:45 That was a terrible Irish accent, but you get it.

2:26:47 Ty Smith's not here, so obviously you were kind of put into a tough spot there.

2:26:50 He would have picked it right up for you there as the Irish lad

2:26:53 who was speaking about the Great White

2:26:55 horse who just moments before getting gated.

2:26:58 Is that what that's called?

2:26:59 You but they get put into the gate?

2:27:00 Yeah.

2:27:01 Yeah.

2:27:01 Every year I learn about this again.

2:27:03 I'm like, "Oh yeah, I forgot getting into the gate is

2:27:05 a big song and dance." Like this is a big to-do.

2:27:07 This is a big part of the race.

2:27:08 Tough actually, yeah.

2:27:09 This is a This is a massive piece of it.

2:27:12 There's always some shenanigans seemingly as they're pushing

2:27:14 the ass end of a horse into something

2:27:16 and then shutting it and then zooming out and then that thing's off and running.

2:27:21 Are these things jacked up because the amount of people?

2:27:23 You think the Great White saw the great lights and said, "Holy hell,

2:27:25 this is going to be a great night." and got

2:27:26 all kind of worked up and said, "You know what?

2:27:29 Actually, I'm doing a backflip." Maybe the jockey was holding him back.

2:27:32 Maybe the Great White wanted to do an entire

2:27:34 backflip and the jockey kind of slowed it down.

2:27:37 He's not hurt, right?

2:27:38 Not injured somehow?

2:27:39 No.

2:27:39 Yeah, all all good.

2:27:40 Precautionary scratch there.

2:27:41 Obviously took a pretty hard hard fall onto the back.

2:27:44 The The crowd is Don't worry, they still will.

2:27:47 WOAH!

2:27:48 THEY said he's going home.

2:27:50 Yeah, home.

2:27:51 Home.

2:27:52 You know what that means.

2:27:53 Where all the dogs go.

2:27:55 Yep.

2:27:57 I hope not.

2:27:58 Horse that big, they need to stud him anyway.

2:28:00 Yes.

2:28:01 Yeah, exactly.

2:28:01 Yeah.

2:28:02 They got other ways to do that.

2:28:04 Bad news, boys.

2:28:05 No.

2:28:06 Great Whites have pre-nasty.

2:28:08 When's this?

2:28:08 Couple weeks?

2:28:09 Yeah, few weeks.

2:28:10 I forget, but Yeah, he'll be there.

2:28:12 Backlash is this weekend.

2:28:14 You paying attention?

2:28:15 Or Tribal Chiefs?

2:28:17 Is he fighting or wrestling or does he have a match?

2:28:20 No.

2:28:20 You're not paying attention to the Backlash?

2:28:21 Yeah, he has a match.

2:28:22 He's taking off for the rest of time.

2:28:24 No, when you made your proclamation about the business, I joined in on that one.

2:28:29 Me, too.

2:28:30 What was the proclamation?

2:28:31 That if you that if Randy lost, never coming back.

2:28:34 Yeah, but I'm talking about like Oh, no, I'm just out forever.

2:28:38 Oh, just your eyes you decided.

2:28:40 As soon as they have something worth watching, I'll be back.

2:28:42 JEEZ, CODY RHODES.

2:28:44 Randy lost.

2:28:44 Hey, don't don't hold your breath, brother.

2:28:47 Still saying in the business, I mean.

2:28:48 Well, hold your breath, especially if Gunther's around.

2:28:50 He's back.

2:28:51 Okay.

2:28:52 Nope.

2:28:52 I hate Gunther.

2:28:53 He sucks.

2:28:55 No offense.

2:28:56 The guy stinks.

2:28:57 I put me night night, so I can't say anything about it.

2:28:59 Violent.

2:29:00 He is violent.

2:29:00 They're already going into the Cena puddle, you know?

2:29:03 They're already that desperate, so.

2:29:04 What are you talking about?

2:29:05 Cena will be at Backlash.

2:29:07 that guy retired.

2:29:08 That's where he lives.

2:29:09 He lives in Tampa Bay.

2:29:10 he was full of He's been working on something.

2:29:12 I said he sat right there and said, "I'm never coming back." Mhm.

2:29:15 Yeah, he kind of questioned his integrity and we were right to.

2:29:19 You guys got pissed at me every time I asked if he was coming back.

2:29:21 You guys looked at me like I was a terrible person.

2:29:23 Yeah, you were right.

2:29:24 That's cuz he's not coming back.

2:29:25 He's just helping the business.

2:29:26 Yeah, exactly.

2:29:27 What is the Cena puddle?

2:29:28 What's the Cena puddle mean exactly?

2:29:30 So, basically what Cena is doing right now is he graduated high school,

2:29:33 but he's still going to all the parties, okay?

2:29:35 Go to college, John.

2:29:36 Okay, you're done.

2:29:38 No.

2:29:38 Okay?

2:29:38 Quit coming back to our parties with your letterman jacket on, okay?

2:29:41 WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

2:29:42 FOR THE REST OF US.

2:29:43 THAT'S NOT what's happening.

2:29:44 John Cena is trying to continue to build the business.

2:29:46 He's just not wrestling anymore.

2:29:48 Okay.

2:29:48 Yeah, I was saying like Cena puddle is in the sense that right now it's kind

2:29:52 of like a desert and everyone's just so thirsty

2:29:56 and they they got nothing to hold on to.

2:29:58 So, they're going to that.

2:29:59 That's not true.

2:30:00 You put John Cena on the billing and you especially

2:30:02 get that, but you got to know what I mean.

2:30:04 two.

2:30:05 Yeah.

2:30:05 Getting an opportunity here.

2:30:06 Who's the first one?

2:30:07 Who's the first one?

2:30:09 It's the same guy.

2:30:10 Is he Evil fighting?

2:30:11 Oh.

2:30:12 Evil's in NXT, I do believe.

2:30:14 Debuted last week.

2:30:15 Love that.

2:30:16 A lot of debuts in NXT.

2:30:17 spell guy fighting?

2:30:19 Uh Danhausen's actually looking for a tag team partner,

2:30:21 I do believe, for Backlash.

2:30:23 Yeah, he's great, so we probably won't see him for a couple months.

2:30:25 No, we'll see Danhausen.

2:30:27 He's everywhere.

2:30:27 HE'S AT BACKLASH.

2:30:28 DID YOU SEE the video?

2:30:29 I did.

2:30:30 He's great.

2:30:30 Yeah, he's unbelievable.

2:30:31 I'm still going to like Danhausen.

2:30:33 Where's Backlash Backlash at?

2:30:34 like Danhausen as well.

2:30:36 to No, it's Hausen.

2:30:36 Danhausen We're seeing him too much.

2:30:39 No, he's not jumping shark.

2:30:41 I'm seeing him too much.

2:30:41 Danhausen, we he's only starting, Hausen.

2:30:44 Yeah, that is what's happening.

2:30:45 Is Jelly getting Is he going to squash somebody here?

2:30:48 I'll tell you what, he broke my back.

2:30:50 He almost broke my neck.

2:30:51 So.

2:30:52 Oh, it's in Tampa?

2:30:53 Nice.

2:30:53 Yes, John Cena John Cena lives in He lives in Tampa?

2:30:56 Yeah.

2:30:57 The guy's been doing Yeah, you guys know that.

2:31:00 lived overseas.

2:31:01 He did for those 5 years.

2:31:03 It's official, he's headed back to WWE Backlash.

2:31:06 After months of planning and effort,

2:31:07 I am so excited to break some history-making news.

2:31:09 I can't promise it'll be perfect,

2:31:10 but I can promise it'll change the WWE experience for superstars and fans.

2:31:14 See you live Saturday in Tampa or at home on the ESPN app.

2:31:17 Hell yeah, Cena.

2:31:18 This is what you guys are all mad about.

2:31:21 I'm unbelievable.

2:31:21 What could this be?

2:31:22 What could it be?

2:31:22 What's going to change the whole experience?

2:31:24 What is it?

2:31:24 I don't know.

2:31:25 I believe in John Cena, though, personally.

2:31:27 I I would like to let it be known that I believe in John Cena.

2:31:30 So, whatever he's Dude, lied right to our face.

2:31:33 Stop right there.

2:31:33 Yeah, he was grandstanding in this office a bit.

2:31:36 That's our coffee.

2:31:37 That's little stupid coffee.

2:31:39 He was He was our local coffee shop that he was drinking.

2:31:42 He was drinking that gimmick little coffee for 6 hours.

2:31:46 He supported the business.

2:31:47 He said, "Are you going to question my integrity?

2:31:49 I'm never coming back." Right.

2:31:50 And lo and behold, sounds like his integrity No, he's not in the ring.

2:31:56 No, I saw him in the ring announce with a with a microphone in his hand.

2:31:59 Announcing the attendance, which was an incredible number,

2:32:02 and I think he was partially to blame for the amount of people that came.

2:32:05 He's not wrestling.

2:32:06 Even whenever the Housings came out, no physical no physicality.

2:32:12 The John Cena being around WWE is a good thing,

2:32:14 not a bad thing, I think, personally.

2:32:16 That backlash.

2:32:18 Tribal Chief.

2:32:19 Housing killed that.

2:32:20 Is he Tribal Chief going to be there?

2:32:21 He will be there.

2:32:22 That was actually funny.

2:32:23 Yeah, who's Tribal Chief right there?

2:32:26 Jacob Fatu.

2:32:27 We talked You got what I mean?

2:32:28 We just talked about this.

2:32:29 believe you, Pat.

2:32:30 I didn't know anything that you were saying.

2:32:32 yeah.

2:32:32 That's on you.

2:32:33 Adam Amin, maybe.

2:32:34 on you.

2:32:35 Why is it on me?

2:32:36 Cuz you said I should have counted quicker.

2:32:39 I should have counted quicker.

2:32:39 If Randy loses, we're out.

2:32:41 And I'm out.

2:32:42 No, no, we're out.

2:32:42 I took my marching orders, and I went.

2:32:44 No, no, cuz if I would have just went Game.

2:32:48 You didn't, did you?

2:32:49 Different business.

2:32:50 I think you still saved the business.

2:32:51 Well, yeah.

2:32:52 No, that's why I'm here.

2:32:56 I This was the problem.

2:32:58 The pizzazz was there.

2:32:59 Yeah, he did.

2:32:59 Yeah, he pimped it.

2:33:01 Have you ever world title?

2:33:02 He did pimp it.

2:33:03 Yeah, he It's like you pimped a home run and got robbed.

2:33:05 That's on me.

2:33:06 Mhm.

2:33:07 It's on me.

2:33:07 I got lost in there a little bit, you know?

2:33:09 How could you not?

2:33:11 Already had a neck brace on.

2:33:12 Mhm.

2:33:13 All right, and then he attacked me, bro.

2:33:15 Yeah.

2:33:15 Saw my weakness.

2:33:16 That's why he's the Viper.

2:33:17 Yeah.

2:33:18 The Apex Predator.

2:33:18 He knows, yeah.

2:33:20 The Legend Killer.

2:33:21 He's got an animal inside of him.

2:33:22 The of perfection for professional wrestling.

2:33:24 It felt so good that coming out of my mouth in a stadium.

2:33:26 Stadium's tough cuz the echo.

2:33:27 Oh yeah.

2:33:28 Yeah.

2:33:28 Stadium's tough.

2:33:29 That's not a place you want to be speaking.

2:33:30 Good play.

2:33:31 Need ears in there.

2:33:34 Didn't think about that until as I was going, "Oh, forgot about this one.

2:33:39 This is good." It's the business.

2:33:41 Good.

2:33:41 Oh yeah, I mess the people up.

2:33:43 Me, did you see the Pittsburgh Steelers one before

2:33:44 we did the NFL Draft experience with the kick?

2:33:47 Uh with the uh giveaway.

2:33:49 Oh yeah.

2:33:49 Oh, and it starts and I go, "Oh no,

2:33:52 I was not prepared for this." We just did this together in the last 25

2:33:56 minutes and I didn't even think about

2:33:57 the echo while I'm talking to these people.

2:33:59 It was incredible.

2:34:00 What a fun time.

2:34:01 What a fun life.

2:34:02 What a great experience.

2:34:03 Thank you to sports.

2:34:04 Huge ones tonight, AJ.

2:34:05 Let's get your picks on these things.

2:34:07 In the East, we got Flyers and Hurricanes 7:00 p.m.

2:34:09 on ESPN.

2:34:11 Hurricanes currently up 1-0.

2:34:13 This is the second round.

2:34:15 Who do you like?

2:34:15 How do you like it, AJ?

2:34:16 Let's go ahead and make a pick here.

2:34:18 You know what, uh we were we spent some

2:34:20 good time with Coach Bill Cowher back at the draft.

2:34:23 I know he is a Hurricanes guy.

2:34:24 He has the uh what do you call it?

2:34:26 What did he do with the siren situation?

2:34:28 He blared that whole situation.

2:34:30 Because of my love for him, I'm taking the old Hurricanes on this one.

2:34:33 I'll tell you what, I love Bill Cowher, too, man.

2:34:35 That was That was an incredible couple days with Coach Cowher.

2:34:38 I mean, actually an incredible couple days.

2:34:41 He said, you know, the deal that was made for him

2:34:43 to do that was something that he I could have never expected,

2:34:46 you know, Coach Cowher.

2:34:47 Uh he did wail on their siren.

2:34:49 Bad news.

2:34:49 Against the Pens, I believe.

2:34:50 And also uh Stormy put Girthy in a body bag.

2:34:55 Yeah, uh good social media coming out of this particular Sorry,

2:34:58 the Hurricanes mascot, Stormy, put Girthy into a body bag.

2:35:01 Brady is the name of I refuse to call him that.

2:35:04 Okay, maybe the Girthy one.

2:35:05 Okay, obviously.

2:35:06 Girthy's a compliment, though.

2:35:07 A muppet Depends on what body part appendage you're talking about.

2:35:10 Well, I think it normally only gets talked about for one.

2:35:14 I don't think there's normal other Unless soup can.

2:35:17 It could be a chance Campbell's is happening down there.

2:35:20 situation.

2:35:20 Yeah, also plays.

2:35:22 But on that note Gritty, is who you're talking about?

2:35:26 Yeah.

2:35:26 Gritty got buried.

2:35:27 Yeah, he did.

2:35:28 By Stormy.

2:35:29 What's that?

2:35:31 I didn't hear it.

2:35:32 I didn't hear it.

2:35:34 I didn't hear it.

2:35:35 You're talking about penises right now?

2:35:38 What did you say?

2:35:39 He said I don't forget now.

2:35:41 I would like to know the inside joke about a penis.

2:35:44 He talked about soup cans.

2:35:46 Yeah, and then there was a That would be terrible and then

2:35:48 somebody complimented it and then welcome to hell, you Muppet reject.

2:35:52 This is what we were talking about.

2:35:53 Nothing to do with penises or soup cans,

2:35:56 just two mascots kind of getting after it on social media.

2:35:59 Okay, I do appreciate that.

2:36:01 But we would assume this would be a very fair fight between Stormy and Gritty.

2:36:04 I'm not sure Gritty can die and I think Stormy would kill.

2:36:07 What a tweet.

2:36:08 What a time.

2:36:09 And that's what social media is good.

2:36:12 What you say about penis?

2:36:14 What I I said soup can.

2:36:15 I said he goes east and west.

2:36:17 That's what I said.

2:36:17 Oh, okay.

2:36:18 Got you.

2:36:18 Yeah.

2:36:19 Yeah, you got to hit the walls, I guess.

2:36:21 Can't hit the back door.

2:36:23 I got to I got to hit the got to hit the sides.

2:36:25 Uh Malik Willis, I don't know if you saw this, AJ.

2:36:29 He overthrew his opening pitch.

2:36:31 He did have a glove though, which nobody's really talking about.

2:36:35 He came prepared with a glove, which I respect.

2:36:37 Very rare whenever it comes to first pitches.

2:36:40 He overthrows nasty and then obviously the whole world goes, "Oh,

2:36:45 the Dolphins are going to stick." Your thoughts on whether

2:36:47 or not this is going to lead to success or not.

2:36:51 Yeah, we we touched on it before, obviously.

2:36:52 This is all This is all success.

2:36:53 As long as you don't bounce it, I am an absolute fan of whatever you do.

2:36:56 I I wish he would have thrown it into the 50 throw up in the stands.

2:36:59 Maybe the next move from somebody is to fully

2:37:02 embarrass yourself and chuck this thing over the backstop.

2:37:04 I believe was the name of that thing.

2:37:05 Yes, it is.

2:37:06 And you got to go over the net would have to be quite

2:37:08 a That'd be My big takeaway was look at the hamhocks he's got for calves.

2:37:13 That's what I was saying.

2:37:14 For real.

2:37:14 That was my takeaway.

2:37:16 It's my quarterback.

2:37:17 He looks jacked.

2:37:18 Can you go back a little bit?

2:37:20 Yeah.

2:37:21 Yeah.

2:37:22 He does look jacked.

2:37:24 Yeah, the calves It's working.

2:37:25 Yeah.

2:37:26 Power.

2:37:27 It and a football is so much bigger than a baseball.

2:37:29 I've been trying to throw a baseball or a whiffle ball in here.

2:37:31 It's not easy for a football thrower.

2:37:33 So Malik Willis has been training so hard with a football.

2:37:35 You put that little tiny baseball in his hand.

2:37:37 He's like Shaquille O'Neal holding a basketball.

2:37:40 Watching that Joe Burrow.

2:37:41 What was that finale Oh yeah, that was not good either.

2:37:44 He threw it 2 yards into the dirt.

2:37:47 That's interesting.

2:37:48 You forgot about Joe Burrow not being able to throw a strike either.

2:37:51 And that was short left though.

2:37:52 That's what gives me even more faith in Malik cuz

2:37:55 it was much closer to Mahomes than it was to Burrow.

2:37:57 Yeah, it's hard to throw a baseball.

2:37:59 It's hard to throw Hey, how are the Reds doing?

2:38:03 Doing great.

2:38:04 What are you talking about?

2:38:04 We got a long season ahead of us.

2:38:05 We're doing great.

2:38:06 Here's Joe Burrow representing the Cincinnati Bengals at Fanatics Fest.

2:38:09 Remember we thought this might not be real.

2:38:11 Remember that?

2:38:12 Or we thought he might be messing around.

2:38:14 Like the first one I can see.

2:38:15 Maybe even the first two.

2:38:17 Is it something about this cage though?

2:38:18 I feel like Ruben threw in that same cage.

2:38:19 Maybe there's some kind of weird lasers in there taking the ball from you.

2:38:22 That one wasn't bad.

2:38:24 start aiming right.

2:38:24 I I you know, I think he just hadn't thrown a baseball in a while.

2:38:28 He is making the adjustment.

2:38:28 Yeah, the last two weren't terrible.

2:38:30 Like if Malik had five, six throws.

2:38:32 All right, put it down.

2:38:33 Malik also mashed in the batting cage as well.

2:38:36 I mean, he beat the out of the baseball in the cage.

2:38:39 He's an athlete.

2:38:40 Didn't see that.

2:38:41 Remember Orlovsky threw a nice ball in here with a baseball?

2:38:44 Yeah, like a thousand times in a row?

2:38:46 8:00 a.m.?

2:38:47 He was A-Rod when he was 12 though.

2:38:49 Oh, there we go.

2:38:51 He said that.

2:38:51 Same trajectory, didn't he?

2:38:53 Love baseball.

2:38:54 Who caught for him there?

2:38:55 Gumpy?

2:38:56 Yeah, it was good frame job to be fair.

2:38:58 It was a little low.

2:38:59 That was a good catch.

2:39:00 It was certainly.

2:39:01 He was down in there.

2:39:01 Yeah.

2:39:02 Got the guy real down low in there for Dan Orlovsky.

2:39:04 We appreciate that.

2:39:05 All right.

2:39:06 I think we need to get the hell out of here.

2:39:07 How's the weather?

2:39:08 Beautiful today.

2:39:09 75 and sunny, I believe.

2:39:11 Maybe not so sunny right now, but 75.

2:39:13 We got some rain right now.

2:39:15 Um it should be done in 25 minutes is what the

2:39:18 That's crazy that we have that in our society right now.

2:39:20 Thank you, Joe.

2:39:21 Feels like 60.

2:39:22 It says 69.

2:39:23 They're still working out there.

2:39:24 Might be just a little light mist as opposed to maybe a real rainstorm.

2:39:28 Yeah.

2:39:28 Good to see the crew out there getting after it, AJ.

2:39:31 I think they uh the roundabout coming uh is going to be done real soon.

2:39:34 Yeah, I think the traffic's going to be a real problem.

2:39:36 I think traffic's going to be a real problem.

2:39:38 Sorry.

2:39:38 The allegedly they're really moving on the construction and everything.

2:39:42 They like they're thinking it's going to take less time.

2:39:44 Have you heard more than I have or who are you Are you talking

2:39:46 Uh just driving by.

2:39:47 Just getting vibes from the uh DoorDash drivers, too.

2:39:50 Just kind of just seeing and observing.

2:39:53 Feel They feel good about it.

2:39:54 We are in construction season.

2:39:55 Shout out to everybody out there doing it.

2:39:57 We appreciate you putting our world together.

2:39:59 Certainly inconvenient for most, but who cares?

2:40:01 Progression has to happen.

2:40:02 Things have to get better.

2:40:04 Sometimes you got to take it on the shins, do what such, or battle the sun.

2:40:07 Shout out to Nelly joining us.

2:40:08 Yeah, it was awesome.

2:40:09 I appreciate her.

2:40:10 She was awesome.

2:40:11 Hopefully we'll get a chance to chat with her again.

2:40:12 We certainly knew that her league went all

2:40:14 the way until a week before Thanksgiving, right, AJ?

2:40:16 We knew that.

2:40:18 Yeah, we did.

2:40:19 I'll tell you what, she's got a long road ahead.

2:40:21 She's got a lot of tournaments she's going to still win this year.

2:40:23 Six top two finishes in a row.

2:40:25 Now, can she carry it for the next 55 weeks?

2:40:28 Yep.

2:40:29 And what's Scotty got?

2:40:29 Three three top or three second place finishes in a row for Scotty?

2:40:33 Yeah, he's starting to really get going, too.

2:40:35 He What happened to him on that T18?

2:40:37 He fell out of that thing pretty good.

2:40:39 Him talking about Cam Young was cool.

2:40:41 He was talking about Cam Young draining everything.

2:40:43 Feels like he just drained everything.

2:40:44 He didn't miss anything.

2:40:45 Scotty was like, "I got to play with him here." Wire to wire.

2:40:47 wire.

2:40:48 Cam wins this entire thing.

2:40:49 He's a He's hitting incredible shots.

2:40:51 How do you feel about um him giving himself that penalty?

2:40:54 I love it.

2:40:54 For the good of the game.

2:40:55 He was up five strokes.

2:40:56 Everybody said it's much easier to call that whenever you're up five.

2:40:58 He came from a golf family, right?

2:40:59 His dad is a golf instructor, a PGA pro.

2:41:02 Feels like he grew up on the course.

2:41:03 Feels like this was a good moment

2:41:05 for him to showcase what you're supposed to do.

2:41:06 I think that is probably how he viewed it all.

2:41:09 We've also seen guys that have done this in the past.

2:41:11 I mean, I'm and this is strictly just

2:41:13 allegedly and things that were on the course,

2:41:15 but Patrick Reed had that has followed or followed him,

2:41:19 Patrick Reed, for a long time since

2:41:22 a lot of people whenever they're in the sand,

2:41:24 him doing that whole thing, like the honor of the game.

2:41:26 It does feel like there are guys that hold in high

2:41:29 regard and I don't know if Cam Young's thinking like,

2:41:31 "Oh, if I don't say this right now, people are going to say I'm cheating." But I

2:41:34 do think there is that sense of like, "Hey, I owe it to the game."

2:41:38 Who cares why he did it?

2:41:39 If he thought that maybe somebody was going

2:41:40 to call him out publicly and he did it.

2:41:42 If he thought to himself immediately for the good

2:41:44 of the game and did it, who cares?

2:41:46 Still did it with a lead on Sunday for the good

2:41:49 of this great game that we love, D Butts.

2:41:50 I like it.

2:41:51 It is a beautiful game and uh made me feel especially good after learning of uh

2:41:55 someone who played high school golf and told

2:41:57 me about how they how they cheated every tournament.

2:41:59 Cuz I got a daughter and we stick by the rules.

2:42:02 Even though I hate it, I would like to help.

2:42:04 But this guy Foxy cheating.

2:42:06 And what do you mean?

2:42:07 We would cheat in matches, in team matches, cuz if you're cheating,

2:42:11 it's good for the team cuz you're going to win.

2:42:13 So, in practice, no cheating.

2:42:15 That is not allowed because we need the best golfers to be out there.

2:42:17 Need the best six.

2:42:18 But in matches, it's a good team move to cheat in matches for it.

2:42:22 I love everything What is the cheating move?

2:42:24 How are you cheating?

2:42:25 Well, let's just say, you know,

2:42:26 you walk up to your ball and you have a four-footer.

2:42:29 No one's looking.

2:42:30 I'm mark marking that three feet away or maybe a whole nose two feet away.

2:42:36 WAIT, YOU CUT THAT THING IN HALF?

2:42:38 IF you can get away with it, that's what YOU DO.

2:42:41 NOW, SCUMBAG.

2:42:43 SO, ANOTHER one example, you know,

2:42:44 I'm going through scorecards end of the round.

2:42:46 I'm like, "Wow, I played really bad today." We're going bop bop.

2:42:49 You say like four or three and they're all like,

2:42:50 "Yeah, yeah, yeah." And then the other guy goes,

2:42:53 "You got a five there, right?" I really got a seven on it.

2:42:55 "Yeah, I got a five there." Boom, two strokes swing.

2:42:58 That's a big one.

2:42:59 is a big That doesn't happen much.

2:43:01 And this is why the golf gods won't bless you

2:43:03 with anything longer than 230 yards for the rest of your life.

2:43:06 You're not lying and I agree with you guys.

2:43:08 I like that Cam Young called himself on it and like, you know, integrity,

2:43:12 respect the game, all that But it is a problem with the game of golf.

2:43:16 Like that clearly didn't give him any advantage.

2:43:19 It clearly just slowed things down.

2:43:21 Scotty even says in the background like, "Bro,

2:43:23 if it didn't move or if you weren't

2:43:25 addressing it or if you didn't do it intentionally,

2:43:28 then don't worry about it." But we always have to go with the rules.

2:43:31 Rules are there for a reason and it just kind of I don't like that part of it.

2:43:34 What do you want?

2:43:35 You want Jason Kelce jumping in Augusta's lake and gone?

2:43:39 Is that what you're trying to get rid of the integrity of golf?

2:43:42 golf is already hard enough and he didn't do anything

2:43:45 to try to cheat and try to do his thing.

2:43:47 Like Patrick Reed, people are like, "He did that on purpose to improve his lie."

2:43:51 I don't think Cam Young was doing that.

2:43:53 Let's just keep it moving.

2:43:54 Don't need the stroke penalty.

2:43:55 Okay.

2:43:56 I I can agree with that, but what precedent does that set?

2:43:59 Exactly.

2:44:00 Rules are there for a reason.

2:44:01 So, Kids watching, man.

2:44:02 Yeah, my daughter's turning three today.

2:44:05 She needs a golf that is golf.

2:44:07 Okay, not whatever you want.

2:44:08 Well, you just want the YouTube clips anyways, don't you?

2:44:10 Yeah, that's all I want.

2:44:12 We're going to all play golf at some point in the future.

2:44:15 I don't cheat when I'm with you guys.

2:44:16 I just need you to know.

2:44:17 Sure.

2:44:17 I I believe you for sure.

2:44:19 Okay.

2:44:19 This guy always finds Found it.

2:44:21 Yep, always finding his ball no matter what.

2:44:24 would have thought that was Foxy.

2:44:25 No, you wouldn't have.

2:44:26 Cuz he played in Cam Young.

2:44:27 Exactly.

2:44:28 If you're on my team, I'll cheat for us though.

2:44:30 We're trying to win here, all right?

2:44:32 Jesus.

2:44:32 All right, I'll I'll play with Foxy.

2:44:35 Foxy, thank you for sacrificing.

2:44:37 And no one else wants to.

2:44:38 No, I I'm starting to wonder how many times I've reaped the benefits of Yeah,

2:44:43 you do play with him quite a bit.

2:44:44 Foxy cheating, yeah.

2:44:45 I mean, there are some tournaments in high school golf where you got a scramble,

2:44:48 so you're with a teammate there.

2:44:50 I mean, you're sending your teammate up there,

2:44:52 found your ball or I mean there are times jeez you're improving

2:44:56 your lie by this much if you can get away with it.

2:44:58 That's a big deal on the putting green.

2:45:00 No On the putting green yeah turn a four footer into a two footer yeah I'd say.

2:45:06 And really you're just like laughing about it at that point.

2:45:09 It's pretty damn funny.

2:45:09 10 footer into the hole holy Did you guys it rolled in.

2:45:13 And then look here.

2:45:15 And you got to keep in mind there's a lot of goofballs that play varsity golf.

2:45:17 So like you can get away with a lot of stuff.

2:45:20 Cedar you know what I'm saying yeah not you.

2:45:23 Unbelievable.

2:45:24 Not me.

2:45:25 All right let's get the out of here.

2:45:26 Foxy they're going to start looking into all the Williamstown's golf records.

2:45:29 Hey I was all league my senior year let's go.

2:45:31 Oh you can't take that away.

2:45:34 Never had a back line.

2:45:35 Take that away.

2:45:37 Somehow I always was in perfect position.

2:45:40 Never behind a tree.

2:45:42 Fairway Foxy.

2:45:43 Oh that's him.

2:45:45 That's like we heard uh I'm not getting into it.

2:45:46 Be a friend tell a friend something nice might change your life.

2:45:48 We're going to send together massive games at Okay we

2:45:50 already we already picked one sorry we got to finish this.

2:45:52 Okay so who you like the Hurricanes there and Flyers versus Hurricanes.

2:45:55 How about the Ducks and Golden Knights 9:30 on ESPN.

2:45:58 Who do you like in that one AJ?

2:46:00 I like the Vegas Golden Knights.

2:46:02 I'm a John Tortorella fan and he is the he's running the ship right now.

2:46:05 Okay so you got Torts and you got the Hurricanes cuz Bob Carr.

2:46:09 I'll take the Flyers and I'll take the Golden Knights as well.

2:46:13 Debo would you like to pick these games?

2:46:14 Sure.

2:46:15 Amigo you know what Flyers I don't hear Hurricanes and Golden Knights.

2:46:21 Okay Tone Digs.

2:46:22 Uh give me the Canes and Ducks.

2:46:24 Con man.

2:46:24 I'll go Canes Golden Knights.

2:46:27 Man nobody believes in Sanheim and the boys in Philadelphia.

2:46:31 Canes haven't lost yet this entire playoffs.

2:46:33 don't believe in the Haven't been down the whole playoffs.

2:46:36 Rolling.

2:46:36 A pretty historic run for them and tonight Gritty and the Flyers

2:46:40 get gritty on the ice and they change that whole thing around.

2:46:42 Let's go to the NBA Sixers and Knicks.

2:46:45 Joel Embiid Sham said playing it sounds like well as he takes

2:46:50 on the Knicks and Jalen Brunson favored by seven and a half.

2:46:53 AJ, who do you like?

2:46:55 Man, I honestly I like the Sixers here.

2:46:57 I got our king pictures Tyrese Maxey at the end of their last game.

2:47:00 How sudden, how quick,

2:47:01 and how fast that dude can get to the hoop and take over the game at the end.

2:47:04 And if Embiid is playing, yeah, give me the Sixers here.

2:47:06 You like Sixers plus seven and a half?

2:47:08 Ooh, sure.

2:47:09 Yeah, I'll take him plus seven and a half as well.

2:47:11 D But?

2:47:12 Uh I am a little worried about the Sixers coming off of that emotional high,

2:47:16 that big comeback, game seven.

2:47:18 Knicks are kind of fresh.

2:47:21 Uh that's a lot of points.

2:47:21 I'm still going with the Sixers plus seven and a half.

2:47:23 Okay, Sixers plus seven and a half even

2:47:24 though he tried to talk himself out of it.

2:47:26 Tone Digs?

2:47:27 He made a lot of good points.

2:47:29 Uh Sixers plus seven and a half.

2:47:30 Con-Man?

2:47:31 Uh I'll take the Knicks.

2:47:32 Okay, Knicks minus seven and a half.

2:47:34 Connor saves the graphic if you will.

2:47:36 Timberwolves and Spurs, Ant-Man full participant or trying to get his way

2:47:41 back into the game just nine days removed

2:47:43 from a hyperextension that caused a bone bruise

2:47:45 in his knee taking on Wemby and the Spurs.

2:47:48 Spurs favored by 13 and a half.

2:47:50 Is that still the spread?

2:47:51 Down to 11 and a half.

2:47:51 11 and a half is now the spread.

2:47:53 Okay, that makes sense with the news

2:47:54 from Shams about Ant-Man potentially playing tonight.

2:47:58 AJ, who do you like?

2:47:58 How do you like it?

2:48:00 With Ant-Man coming back, I don't know if they're going to win,

2:48:02 but I'm taking Minnesota at plus 11 or plus 11 and a half, right?

2:48:05 Plus 11 and a half.

2:48:06 D But?

2:48:06 I'll take Spurs to cover 11 and a half.

2:48:09 Tone?

2:48:09 Same D But.

2:48:10 Yeah, Spurs Wemby over points.

2:48:12 It's him versus Gobert.

2:48:14 French battle down low.

2:48:16 They were teammates in the Olympics.

2:48:17 Okay, I'll take the Spurs in that as well.

2:48:20 All right, let's enjoy the hell out of tonight's playoffs.

2:48:22 We got some baseball tonight, I assume?

2:48:24 Yeah, the whole whole slate.

2:48:26 Oh, some baseball news, too.

2:48:27 Oh, yeah.

2:48:28 Not to speak of cheating Foxy.

2:48:30 Yeah, not good, Foxy.

2:48:31 Skubal's being shut down for He's got to have surgery on his elbow.

2:48:35 Damn.

2:48:36 Floating floating bodies in his elbow,

2:48:38 they said two to four months or something like that, two to three months.

2:48:41 Detroit ace Tarik Skubal will undergo a surgery

2:48:44 to remove loose bodies in his left elbow.

2:48:47 Such procedures typically sideline players for two to three months.

2:48:51 Skubal should return before season ends, but tough blow for the impending free

2:48:55 agent and two-time reigning AL Cy Young winner.

2:48:59 That sucks.

2:49:00 Loose bodies.

2:49:01 Yeah, he's probably got a little chip in something.

2:49:03 Yep.

2:49:04 Chip in something that's got to be floating around in there.

2:49:06 That sucks.

2:49:07 Kind of happens to your uh meniscus, I think.

2:49:10 Piece of your meniscus kind of chips off or something else like that.

2:49:13 Just kind of bounces around and it like locks up.

2:49:16 It like locks up your uh Kind of where it sits.

2:49:18 Yeah, it's like where it is depending upon.

2:49:20 I did it in my knee when I hyperextended my knee,

2:49:22 I got a dislocated patella, which is your kneecap.

2:49:25 Your kneecap sits in a groove.

2:49:28 Mine, when I hyperextended it,

2:49:30 bounced outside of the groove and then bounced back.

2:49:32 So, there was like a little chip

2:49:33 or something that was like bouncing around in there.

2:49:35 So, like when that would get in the certain spots, it was like,

2:49:37 "Oh my god!" And then it would bounce out of the way,

2:49:40 you know, and then you're like back to business,

2:49:42 but yeah, I don't know if it's similar,

2:49:44 but sounds like loose bodies is something uh that's floating around in there

2:49:47 and it gets real terrible when it it happens upon some places that are great.

2:49:52 Is this cuz he did Team USA uh training camp?

2:49:54 Oh, no.

2:49:55 The chip might be.

2:49:56 I think he should have pitched for Team USA.

2:49:58 We would have found this earlier.

2:49:59 He would have been back earlier.

2:50:00 We could have won the World Series.

2:50:01 Also, it turns out it wouldn't have mattered if he pitched

2:50:04 in the for Team USA because this was going to happen regardless, it sounds.

2:50:08 Man, if he would have pitched for Team USA and then this happened, bad news.

2:50:12 loud.

2:50:12 It would have been loud, especially with how much money is on the way.

2:50:14 This doesn't affect the money, I don't think, right?

2:50:16 People are still going to pay Skubal.

2:50:18 Yes.

2:50:18 so.

2:50:19 He's prime, yeah.

2:50:19 If it's two to three months, cuz especially if he comes back and pitches well

2:50:22 for the rest of the season, and then yeah.

2:50:24 Good luck out there, Skubal.

2:50:25 We're pulling for you.

2:50:26 Sorry, Detroit.

2:50:27 Yeah, so sorry, Detroit.

2:50:28 the Stones, you lose Skubal.

2:50:30 Yeah.

2:50:30 That's right.

2:50:31 Sorry, Motor City Kitties.

2:50:33 What What's that?

2:50:34 The Detroit Tigers?

2:50:35 That's what I call them, Motor City Kitties, yeah.

2:50:37 Do a lot of people call them that?

2:50:38 Because this could be like the Stones thing where Foxy kind of puts

2:50:40 us out on an island and says everybody says this and nobody says it.

2:50:43 Are a lot of people saying the Motor City Kitties?

2:50:45 Yeah, a lot of people I know call them that.

2:50:46 Real, I've never heard it before.

2:50:48 People call them that.

2:50:49 I don't.

2:50:49 That also referred to the Lions as well if you really wanted to go there.

2:50:52 True.

2:50:52 Oh, you guys are a bunch of Motor City Kitties up there.

2:50:55 I like where this is going.

2:50:56 I'm kind of impressed with the Motor

2:50:57 City Kitties though because the Lions, great animal.

2:51:00 Mhm.

2:51:00 Great.

2:51:01 That's a great kitty.

2:51:02 Yep.

2:51:02 So I mean that's a powerful kitty.

2:51:04 Yeah, so the tiger And the tiger's a badass cat as well.

2:51:07 Two of the two of the best.

2:51:08 Motor City badass kitties I think, you know, you could kind of get after it.

2:51:11 Lions going to win again?

2:51:12 You guys missed playoffs this last year.

2:51:13 Yeah, we're going to win again.

2:51:14 We have the easiest schedule in the NFL and also

2:51:17 the boys are gritty and chippy and ready to roll.

2:51:20 that mean, AJ?

2:51:20 Easiest schedule in the NFL?

2:51:22 Are they playing professional teams?

2:51:23 Yeah, is that possible?

2:51:24 Are they playing some college teams?

2:51:25 Oh, so would you guys rather have the fourth place schedule

2:51:27 in all the divisions or would you have the one first place schedule?

2:51:30 Which one would you saying is we think that that's all though.

2:51:33 I don't Going off of last year's record, Right?

2:51:35 I'm pretty sure the Patriots had the hardest

2:51:37 schedule at the beginning of the season last year.

2:51:38 And then it ended up being the easiest schedule by the end of it.

2:51:41 I think there's just so much potential fluctuation that could

2:51:44 happen with teams and who's good, who's not good.

2:51:47 Remember that year that we had where two and 14

2:51:49 or whatever and suck for luck stuff was happening.

2:51:52 There was like nine one score games where

2:51:54 if a ball just so happens to fumble loose, score, we win that game.

2:51:59 I think it's hard to just say a team.

2:52:00 Now granted, there are historically good teams and historically ass teams.

2:52:05 So I think you get that.

2:52:06 I don't like the whole that that has become a thing though.

2:52:07 Like you get a bad schedule.

2:52:09 It's like there's no bad schedule.

2:52:10 The NFL is good at football.

2:52:12 All of them.

2:52:14 Some perpetual ass.

2:52:17 Mhm.

2:52:18 But we all thought of the Jets right there?

2:52:20 I did not.

2:52:21 Who'd you think of?

2:52:22 Browns.

2:52:22 Perpetual ass, yeah.

2:52:23 Dolphins.

2:52:24 Jeez.

2:52:25 I was strictly thinking about the schedule getting thrown in Drake

2:52:28 Maye's face even though it's just not a All last year.

2:52:30 Exactly.

2:52:31 Well, that's what I'm kind of saying right now.

2:52:32 It's not real.

2:52:33 Yeah.

2:52:33 Like teams good that you're playing against.

2:52:36 People get paid millions and millions of dollars to play football.

2:52:38 Some teams just show up better, obviously, especially at the end of the season.

2:52:42 But, like the Jets not doing ass stuff this off-season.

2:52:46 Not yet.

2:52:46 They had a good draft.

2:52:48 No leaks.

2:52:50 Love that.

2:52:50 In this In this climate, love that.

2:52:53 That's crazy.

2:52:53 The number two overall pick, no leak at all.

2:52:55 They got the pick as in being filmed some other places.

2:52:58 Leaks everywhere, literally.

2:52:59 Like come on in with let's film all the leaks.

2:53:01 And in this Jets organization, which is notoriously ass,

2:53:04 no leaks for that number two overall pick, I think that was a huge sign.

2:53:07 I think that was a huge sign, personally, A.J.

2:53:09 Oh, yeah.

2:53:10 I would imagine head coach Aaron Glenn is cutting the clips, too,

2:53:13 with you saying that's a great sign and showing the front office,

2:53:15 as well, "Hey guys, we're cleaning things up around here."

2:53:17 I think we've talked a lot of on the Jets.

2:53:19 I don't know if they're showing much of us around there.

2:53:21 And on that note, good luck to all parties.

2:53:23 We'll be back tomorrow.

2:53:23 We got big games tonight in the playoffs.

2:53:25 Round two of the NBA and NHL playoffs on the way.

2:53:31 What a great time to be alive.

2:53:33 If you get a chance, go see a Savannah Bananas.

2:53:35 Go do it.

2:53:36 Do it.

2:53:37 You're going to be put first.

2:53:38 Fan first.

2:53:40 We'll sign first autograph and last autograph.

2:53:43 102,000.

2:53:44 It's a lot.

2:53:45 That's crazy.

2:53:46 That's so many people going to something.

2:53:48 A ton.

2:53:49 That's so many people.

2:53:52 Insane.

2:53:52 I don't know how you could hate at this point.

2:53:53 Just he's just going to the next place.

2:53:55 Maybe Central Park?

2:53:56 That'd be cool.

2:53:57 Maybe a beach?

2:53:59 Maybe tomorrow.

2:54:00 Maybe tomorrow.

2:54:01 If it happens, he'd be there.

2:54:03 I believe it.

2:54:04 Him and Dana White are going to be racing to see who can get the first event.

2:54:06 Yeah, seriously.

2:54:08 Be a friend, tell a friend something nice, might change your life.

2:54:10 We're going to say it together.

2:54:10 We'll see you back tomorrow.

2:54:11 Ty, congratulations.

2:54:12 We love you, man.

2:54:14 Team on me.

2:54:15 Team on three.

2:54:16 1 2 3.

2:54:16 TEAM.

2:54:17 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MACKENZIE.

2:54:51 HEY.
