Trump admits he SCREWED US...

Trump admits he SCREWED US...

Adam Mockler

0:00 Before we fully start, what we're going to talk about today is the Iran war.

0:04 As we are blowing past that 60-day deadline,

0:08 Donald Trump sent out an absurdly deranged true social post

0:11 this morning in which he essentially says he's going to resume

0:14 bombing at a very high level and he also claims

0:18 that he's sort of winning the war in another post.

0:22 So, he's crashing out on Truth Social this morning

0:25 and it's a rather scary site to see.

0:27 The president of the United States is

0:29 rapidly losing control 65 days into this war

0:32 as his little minions continue to go

0:34 out on television and spew their talking points.

0:36 And you know, this topic hits home for me because we've been through

0:39 a lot of controversy over the past 7 days regarding the Iran topic,

0:43 regarding whether or not I should know my place as a young person,

0:46 not speak about this.

0:47 But as I've said on these shows over and over and over,

0:50 as I said on Cuomo's show last night,

0:53 young people, people like my age, for our entire lives,

0:56 we have been at war with some country in the Middle East.

0:59 Even for your entire life,

1:00 the United States has been at war with some country in the Middle East.

1:03 And we've been told that will make us better off and more safe.

1:06 It makes us worse off and it makes us less

1:08 safe when we're destabilizing these countries over in the Middle East.

1:11 Millennials grew up with these headlines about,

1:14 you know, uh, Saddam Hussein was killed.

1:16 We've we've won in Iraq.

1:18 It's a military victory.

1:19 Then it turned into this grinding counterinsurgency for years

1:22 and years and years where no progress was made.

1:25 The same thing happened with Afghanistan.

1:27 We were told we won on the battlefield.

1:29 It's a victory.

1:30 Then it turned into a grinding counterinsurgency for years.

1:34 It cost trillions of dollars.

1:36 Afghanistan was actually decades we were in there, not just years.

1:39 So it was a grinding slow counterinsurgency that did not

1:42 make us better off at the end of the day.

1:44 This brings us perfectly back around to Iran and Gen

1:48 Z and what people my age are going through.

1:50 The same people who sold us those first two

1:52 wars and lied to us are now trying to sell us a third war and are now trying

1:56 to tell us this time we should trust the process.

1:59 This time we should listen to them because they're going to make things better.

2:03 But we've been primed to realize, people like you and I,

2:06 that military successes on the battlefield thousands of miles away,

2:10 sinking a navy boat from the 60s doesn't

2:13 actually translate to a safer and more stable globe.

2:16 So when it comes to Iran, one more time,

2:19 I have been watching and sitting next to these MAGA pundits on TV week

2:23 after week after week as they say that we are winning, that we have won.

2:26 It's a decisive victory.

2:27 Their navy has sunk.

2:28 And I've been saying, "Hold up.

2:30 Let's take it slow.

2:32 I don't know if a decisive victory I don't

2:34 know if sinking their navy actually means we've gotten

2:37 the political concessions that we're looking for like no nukes

2:41 uh regime change not funding terrorist proxies in the region.

2:45 I mean there are some decent goals that we could work

2:47 towards and now that we're in this sloppy unconstitutional illegal war.

2:51 Not that I I think the war should have

2:52 never been started by the way but if we're going

2:54 to start a war at least try to like finish

2:57 out the objectives but no we've gotten no political concession.

3:00 So this morning, Donald Trump sends out

3:02 another post threatening to resume bombing on Iran.

3:06 And I find this despicable because it confirms every single thing that you and I

3:10 have been saying for the past 60 days that we don't have a plan.

3:12 This will endlessly drag on.

3:14 This could turn into a grinding long-term war.

3:18 And people have told me not to ask these questions.

3:20 I've gotten yelled at for asking,

3:22 like literally quite literally yelled at for asking these very same questions.

3:25 Hey, what political concessions are we getting?

3:27 Oh, Donald Trump tweeted out, quote, "Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been

3:32 agreed to, which is perhaps a big assumption." Okay,

3:35 first of all, this is already just so dumb.

3:37 Why does he type like this?

3:38 He says, "Assuming Iran agrees to give what has

3:40 been agreed to, which is perhaps a big assumption,

3:43 the already legendary epic fury will be at an end,

3:46 and the highly effective blockade will allow the Hormoo

3:49 Strait to be open to all, including Iran.

3:52 If they don't agree, the bombing starts and it will be sadly

3:56 at a much higher level and intensity than it was before.

3:59 Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J.

4:02 Trump.

4:03 In this post, you can see the two separate

4:05 pathways that Donald Trump has to end this war.

4:08 Pathway one is an insane, disgusting escalation in which he starts

4:13 to attack the civilian infrastructure of Iran.

4:17 I'm not making this up.

4:18 He's threatened this exact thing over and over.

4:20 He knows that one of the only ways out is to just commit war

4:23 crimes and scare the out of them and bomb the hell out of them.

4:25 Now, the second way is a humiliating climb down in which we don't

4:29 actually get any of the military objectives we were asking for and Trump

4:32 has to back off and give Iran more more than what we would

4:37 have given them in the first place if we had never started this war.

4:40 So, those are the two options as I see them.

4:42 Either a major escalation or a humiliating climb down.

4:46 And Trump is basically getting at that in this post.

4:48 He's saying either we're going to begin striking you even though he's claimed

4:51 we've won this war or he's saying that we can negotiate and climb down.

4:56 Now, just one final thing.

4:57 Iran isn't biting.

4:58 Donald Trump says that we have all the cards.

5:01 Iran has none of the cards.

5:03 If that were true, we would actually be

5:05 able to reach some sort of negotiation point.

5:08 But no, right now there is an asymmetric

5:10 war being played where we don't have the cards,

5:12 which is rather impressive because, spoiler alert,

5:15 we do have the stronger military.

5:17 The United States has a very strong military, but we've got dumbass leaders.

5:21 Yes.

5:21 Yeah.

5:21 I mean, it's like handing a handing a toddler a sword, right?

5:25 They might have a better weapon than you,

5:26 but they're still acting like children, so they don't know how to use it.

5:28 And

5:29 you know, in in Trump's post there,

5:31 he calls Operation Epic Fury legendary, epic, like blah blah blah,

5:36 cuz they're just these weak men who want to pretend that they are at war.

5:40 And you see that when Pete Hexet gives these ridiculous

5:43 press conferences that he does a couple times a week.

5:45 He's so excited to play toy soldier um like

5:47 a child and they have no understanding of how

5:52 to win an actual war because yes militarily

5:54 the American military is the best on the planet.

5:56 All right, China is basically the only country that would even rival our ability

5:59 to execute a war but that is only one aspect of the war, right?

6:04 There's there's the the digital aspect of it,

6:07 which Iran is shockingly good at, unfortunately.

6:09 And then that includes the disinformation and propaganda,

6:11 which I would argue Iran has won the propaganda war against the United

6:15 States with these Lego videos that they've been putting out, which are

6:18 are insane.

6:19 I can't believe we're getting outmaneuvered online

6:21 by the Iranian government, but here we are.

6:23 I don't know who they hired, but maybe maybe the Democratic party should hire

6:26 them for the next election because they'reing unbelievable.

6:28 Um, but there's the economic impact here and that and that's

6:31 the card that Iran holds that Donald Trump doesn't understand.

6:35 By the way, if people haven't seen this, Donald Trump posted

6:37 a AI generated image of himself holding five wild Uno cards going,

6:42 I hold all the cards,

6:44 forgetting the fact because this guy's never played a game of Uno in his life.

6:46 The point of Uno is to get rid of all of your cards.

6:48 Um, so again, his talk is also just really bad.

6:51 But yesterday the president said, "Oh,

6:53 gas prices are high and it's just a little sacrifice that we're all

6:56 just going to have to make." But but the The sacrifice for what?

6:59 This is the question that and I was

7:01 on NewsNation last night debating Katie Pavlich and I said,

7:03 "Nobody wants this war in this country other than

7:06 a handful of politicians who have failed us time and again.

7:08 What are we accomplishing here?" And she's like, "Mike,

7:10 we're making sure that Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon.

7:12 They had one and now they don't." And that's how delusional they are.

7:15 They believe that Iran was close to a nuclear weapon when they were not.

7:18 Tulsi Gabbard herself has said that Iran was nowhere near having

7:22 a nuclear weapon and she is one of Trump's biggest sick fans.

7:25 So this is ridiculous.

7:27 And they did not I just think it's important to say this over and over

7:29 again because we've been lied to so much in in this 60 70day period,

7:33 however long it's been.

7:35 Oh, this this is going to be a twoe skirmish.

7:37 It's going to be really short.

7:38 We're going to be done and we're going to be over with.

7:39 No, now it's been 2 months.

7:40 Oh, now they're saying it's going to be 6 months.

7:42 Now they're saying it's going to take them

7:43 6 months to reopen the straight of moose.

7:45 And then what are we trying to accomplish?

7:47 Well, we're going in to free the people of Iran.

7:49 Okay, there is an oppressive government in Iran that is killing its own people.

7:53 We're going in to save them.

7:54 Never mind the fact that a month prior Iran was killing people in mass

7:58 and Donald Trump promised to go in and help them and abandon those people,

8:01 which then made them reticent to come out and overthrow their own government.

8:04 So, they bungled that.

8:05 And if they wanted some actual moral high ground here,

8:08 they should have attacked Iran at a time

8:10 when they were murdering their own people, which they didn't do.

8:12 And don't get me wrong, the Iranian government's horrible,

8:14 but there's no justification for this, and it

8:17 is certainly not in America's best interest.

8:18 Then they were like, "Okay, well,

8:19 we're going to we're going to secure the straight of Horse.

8:22 We're taking the Straight of Horm moves back.

8:23 we're taking it for ourselves and we're going to give it to our European allies.

8:26 Then they abandoned that because Europe didn't want.

8:27 So just on and on and on and now they've settled in this like mid 2000s Saddam

8:33 Hussein has nuclear weapons place which if you

8:35 were going to go with that as your justification

8:37 one you should have done that in the beginning and you should have spent

8:39 a lot of time laying out the foundation

8:40 for that so the American people understood it.

8:42 Say what you will about George Bush

8:44 and Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney and they were

8:46 miserable awful human beings that got a ton

8:48 of people killed in another stupid forever war.

8:51 At least they took the time to lie to us properly.

8:53 They went over and over and over again.

8:54 There were congressional hearings.

8:55 They went in front of the UN.

8:56 They tried to build a coalition.

8:58 The United States didn't do any of that.

8:59 They had no idea what they were doing.

9:02 And I think the perfect example of them not knowing what

9:05 they were doing is they didn't refill the strategic petroleum oil reserve.

9:08 They didn't refill that at all.

9:10 And and it's obvious if you war game this out for a second,

9:13 I'm pretty sure back to them being children.

9:15 My seven-year-old, if I spoke to him about this, I'm pretty sure he would go,

9:18 "Wouldn't they close the straight of Hormuz?

9:20 What do they try to make it hard

9:21 and create political pressure on the president on gas prices?

9:24 Like my seven-year-old would you say exactly word for I

9:27 mean I have the most articulate seven-year-old on the planet.

9:29 You would be you would be shocked at the words that he uses but like he would

9:33 understand that and Hillary Clinton has talked about

9:35 that and and Tony Blinkin has talked about that.

9:37 Like they have so many times war planned this out of what

9:41 attacking Iran would look like and Iran controls the straight of four moves.

9:44 They've got mines all throughout the straight.

9:45 If they opened it right now,

9:47 it'll take six months for them to actually physically open that back to 100%.

9:51 And and the final thought, Adam, because I just want to talk about what's been

9:54 going on with you this last couple of days because

9:58 you've been taking incoming fire from basically

10:00 every neoonservative in the country right now.

10:02 And that's because you represent everything that they cannot tolerate.

10:05 They are old failed men who have gotten us involved

10:08 in at least three wars in the Middle East, if not more.

10:10 At this point, I think we don't call a lot of the things we do as wars.

10:13 who's called operations or Trump calls them skirmishes and stuff.

10:17 Excursions.

10:17 Excursions.

10:17 But they want to send people your age and maybe

10:20 my age cuz they just increased the military age to 42.

10:22 So I can still claim that I can go serve.

10:24 But you know, they want to send people like you over there to go

10:27 fight and die in their war so that oil companies can make money,

10:30 so defense contractors can make money,

10:32 and so corrupt politicians like Donald Trump can make money because Trump has

10:35 got his kids putting contracts in front

10:37 of the Pentagon for drone strike technology.

10:39 And they don't want anybody who looks like them,

10:41 talks like them, thinks like them to articulate the anti-war view.

10:44 And that's why you scare the out of them.

10:46 That's why they go rabid when Isaiah Martin is on CNN doing it, too.

10:49 They can't stand you guys in your 20s who stand up to them.

10:52 And you're just supposed to sit there and take it.

10:53 Oh, well, Scott Jennings,

10:55 you're a 48-year-old man who's been supporting these Forever Wars forever.

10:58 How dare you get in my face?

11:00 Like, how dare you?

11:01 Like, that.

11:02 We should be celebrating people who put

11:04 themselves in the arena who speak their truth.

11:06 And if you were speaking their truth like

11:08 Brillin Holly hands and link and the other ones,

11:11 these dime store Charlie Kirks that they have,

11:12 they would be putting you up on a pedestal and handing you millions and millions

11:15 of dollars to go to college campuses all

11:18 across the country and yell at, I don't know, college girls with dyed blue hair.

11:21 Like that's what they would be doing.

11:22 But instead, they're lecturing you on the internet and it's it's

11:25 it's stupid and it's weak and and it it's so revealing.

11:28 And and while I'm on it,

11:29 because somebody said it in the comments, Haraldo Rivera is a dick.

11:32 And I think we should just emphasize

11:34 that because imagine sitting at home being Heraldo

11:35 Rivera and thinking that you have the ability

11:38 to call anybody else smug and arrogant.

11:40 That is the most smug, arrogant human being on TV.

11:42 I like how every single time I try to say, "Hey,

11:45 you guys are giving the same arguments that you gave 20 years ago.

11:48 We should slow down and ask questions about this." They go,

11:50 "But but but they have weapons of mass destruction over

11:53 in Iran." It's like you're just feeding us the exact same arguments.

11:58 Yeah.

11:58 What [clears throat] really bothers me with the Scott Jennings thing,

12:00 I I I'm basically done talking about it at this point,

12:04 but what really really bothers me,

12:05 one final thing that I've just been kind of mulling over is the fact

12:07 that he's able to sit there and lie week after week after week,

12:11 break all of the norms week after week after week of any debates,

12:14 any sort of bounding of facts or reality.

12:17 He doesn't try.

12:19 He's not bound to any of that.

12:20 But then when I'm debating him,

12:22 I'm supposed to be bound to the most strict rules.

12:25 I had somebody the other day tell me, "Adam,

12:27 you should just try to act more like a journalist.

12:29 Like, don't give your opinion that much.

12:31 Don't be too assertive.

12:32 Just be calm and give your" And it's like, "No, f that.

12:34 I'm not going to bound myself to the rules of some

12:36 professional journalist when I'm on a panel with people who will demean,

12:40 cut you off, condescend,

12:42 and obfuscate at any point." There was a moment

12:44 uh uh in Medi Hassan's debate with Michael Nolles,

12:47 and I quote tweeted this, where Medi Hassan asks Michael Nolles five

12:50 times in a row if he condemns Trump pardoning the January 6ers.

12:54 And Michael Nullles kind of just like smirks and laughs and says,

12:57 "What do you mean condemn?" Well, rephrase the question.

12:59 He's just trolling Medi Hassan.

13:01 And then when Medi Hassan asks it for like the fifth time,

13:03 the moderator goes, "Okay, Medi, stop.

13:06 Let's move on." Basically acting like Medi Hassan broke some norm in debates.

13:11 No, the norm was broken when these MAGA freaks

13:14 can't answer a simple question or engage in good faith.

13:17 So for all these old people to act like I'm this obnoxious

13:20 young kid breaking all the norms of TV when I'm going

13:23 against a Scott Jennings who quite literally has rewritten the rules

13:27 on CNN so he can sit there and condescend and be smug.

13:30 It's just I don't buy it.

13:31 It's a argument and it's to cover up the fact that they can't defend this war.

13:35 I actually haven't seen a good defense of this war put up and the entire

13:38 discourse has been hijacked by my age for some reason which is fine.

13:42 I can play that game.

13:43 I can have these conversations with Heraldo and snap back at him.

13:46 Right.

13:46 Did you like the uh the mine the cave one that I posted or the I did.

13:50 I thought that was really good.

13:51 Like you're on fire, man.

13:53 And I was also just like I was like, "Wait,

13:54 Adam knows about the cave." Like that was my immediate reaction.

13:57 I was like, "How do you even remember that?"

13:58 I had to learn and I was just thinking,

13:59 "If he's going to call me a dick, I'll be a dick.

14:01 Let's do it.

14:02 Let's go." But also, you might as well lean into it.

14:04 These guys can't take a punch, Adam.

14:06 Like they can't like when they were when they were

14:08 the the dog chasing the car against Joe Biden and Kla Harris.

14:11 like they knew exactly what to do because all they could do was

14:15 about Joe Biden and about Kla Harris and and and take him on.

14:18 And now that they're in charge, they can't do anything.

14:20 They don't know what to do.

14:21 And at the end of the day,

14:22 and I've said this a thousand times probably on our show,

14:24 but certainly elsewhere, is MAGA as a movement and the Republican party

14:28 as a whole has no solutions to improve your life.

14:31 It is a party purely funded by grievances.

14:34 That's it.

14:34 The only thing they know how to do is

14:36 put Donald Trump's face on a on on a passport,

14:39 introduce legislation quickly to have them pay a billion dollars

14:41 for the stupid ballroom and then and moan on the internet.

14:44 I I was on um uh Piers Morgan

14:47 last week with with our mutual friend Ben Ferguson,

14:49 who is also a CNN uh jackass.

14:52 Okay.

14:53 Yeah, he is.

14:53 He's Well, okay.

14:54 Friend, you know what I mean.

14:56 This this is like how I sometimes joke

14:57 that Jesse Waters is my friend originally text me.

15:00 Um, but I it it's it's um we were

15:03 talking about the the shooting at the White House

15:05 correspondence dinner and Pierce Morgan really wanted my take

15:08 on like how to make the president more secure, which I am not a security expert.

15:11 That was my argument.

15:12 I was like, I'm not a security expert.

15:13 Why don't you bring on somebody who knows what the hell they're talking about?

15:15 And Ben Ferguson comes in and goes, "Mike, we all know it's DEI.

15:19 Like DEI is the reason that the president is not

15:21 safe." And then Klay Travis comes in and is like,

15:23 there are women in the Secret Service right now

15:24 and that's why we can't keep the president safe.

15:26 We should have Seal Team Six do it.

15:27 And I'm like, you guys have nothing.

15:29 It's either blame it on DEI or blame it on Biden.

15:31 They have nothing else.

15:32 And it's just so stupid.

15:34 Like the what were they?

15:35 The Spirit Airlines uh fell apart uh this over the weekend,

15:38 which is a direct correlation to the increase in fuel prices.

15:41 By the way, JetBlue and Frontier are also on the verge of bankruptcy

15:44 because of how expensive uh oil prices are right now and fuel prices are.

15:48 And they're blaming that on Joe Biden.

15:50 They're saying, "Well, if Joe Biden had just allowed Spirit Airlines

15:53 and JetBlue to merge four or five years ago,

15:55 they would have been able to survive." Well,

15:57 no, because those other businesses are falling apart, too.

16:00 And all they know how to do, it's a noun,

16:01 a verb, blame Joe Biden, blame black people, blame women.

16:04 That's all that they know how to do.

16:05 No solutions, nothing.

16:07 I have not heard an idea from this Republican party

16:10 in 10 years that even if I disagreed with it,

16:13 I've never heard an idea that made me go, "Huh?

16:15 Oh, we could talk about that.

16:16 Like, that's cool.

16:17 That's interesting.

16:17 Like, maybe there's something else." It's all just like slogans.

16:20 It's slogans and grievances and nothing else.

16:22 then that's why they're losing because

16:23 people are desperate for solutions right now.

16:26 They're desperate for it and they they voted for Trump

16:29 on two big promises and I'm gonna hand it back to you.

16:31 I is one I'm going to make everything less

16:33 expensive because things are too expensive because of Joe

16:35 Biden and inflation and I'm not going to launch

16:37 any more forever wars that are corrupt and stupid.

16:39 He's broken both those promises.

16:40 That's why his approval ratings at 32%.

16:42 That's why Maris has a poll out today

16:44 with Democrats plus 10% on the generic ballot.

16:46 like there is a wave coming for them.

16:48 If we do our job and we stop them from cheating

16:50 and we nominate good candidates in these primaries that are coming up,

16:53 we are going to smash them in the midterms and they deserve it.

16:55 The Democrats don't deserve the victory in my opinion,

16:58 but we're going to get it anyway because the Republicans are that bad.

17:00 Yeah.

17:00 And it's exactly why the Republicans are trying

17:02 to rig everything in the middle of the decade.

17:05 It's pretty despicable how right when the Voting Rights Act

17:07 or section 2 effectively got shot down of the Voting Rights Act,

17:11 we got a perfect vindication of why it existed in the first place.

17:14 In cities like Memphis, they are now taking a majority black population

17:18 and diluting their vote into three separate districts.

17:22 They are scared of the consequences of their actions

17:24 and the consequences of this very Iran war.

17:27 And the thing to point out is that this is all like a self-inflicted wound.

17:31 There's a difference between shooting yourself in the foot

17:33 and having extrinsic factors that are hurting your presidency.

17:36 Under Joe Biden, we did objectively experience pretty bad inflation,

17:39 but that's because of supply chain disruptions happening across the globe.

17:43 COVID spending, uh, Russia invading Ukraine, just a whole multitude of factors.

17:48 Biden wasn't sitting there actively screwing us over.

17:50 Trump, on the other hand, got into office and, as I say,

17:53 he hoisted himself by his own petard.

17:55 He did liberation day, then he did the Iran war,

17:58 then he doubled down on a lot of these tariffs.

18:01 So, he's essentially, you know, shooting himself in the foot when doing

18:05 this and hurting our economy for no reason.

18:08 That's why his approval rating on I I saw this chart where his approval rating

18:12 on gas prices dropped so far that they couldn't even fit it in the chart.

18:18 I'm going to try to find this and put it on screen.

18:20 It was Adam.

18:20 It was the only thing they had.

18:22 I mean, you know this cuz we debate on the economy with these guys all the time.

18:25 When you would bring up inflation and I I had

18:27 built a whole counter argument to this that's now irrelevant,

18:29 which is annoying, but like they'd go,

18:31 "Mike, isn't it a good Isn't it good that gas prices are

18:33 down so much under Donald Trump?" And I go, "Yeah, it's great.

18:35 They're down like 10% which is about 15

18:37 cents which is awesome but what's the value

18:39 of that when the average price of of of a car loan is $750 a month?

18:43 Like you can't afford a car.

18:44 What's the value of gas being lower?

18:46 Then they that too.

18:47 They've just they've screwed everything up.

18:49 The one thing they had done was get gas prices down which

18:52 I'm not sure the president actually did anything to make that happen.

18:55 But again, gas prices were down and they

18:57 it because that's all they know how to do.

18:59 It's why I hate Sorry, I'm going to go one more tangent.

19:01 I hate taco like going people say, you know, Trump always chickens out.

19:04 I hate that.

19:04 We have to replace it with tofu is Trump always up.

19:09 Yeah.

19:08 Um Yeah.

19:09 Trump only up.

19:11 Exactly.

19:10 That is very true.

19:11 My friend said something the other day about Iran.

19:13 He said it takes two to taco.

19:15 I thought that was really good because Iran is not tacoing out but it's Trump.

19:20 Why would they repeatedly tacoing out?

19:21 Yeah, they have a new weapon in this form of the straight of four moves.

19:25 But I'm going to pop this chart on screen after.

19:26 This is what I was looking for.

19:28 David Shore who I really respect his analysis.

19:30 Um he works at the DA he's a head of data science at Blue Rose of Research.

19:34 He said just to emphasize how bad

19:36 of a hole the Trump administration is in right now.

19:39 Gas prices and the approval of them plummeted so

19:43 far we had to fix the Yaxis of this chart.

19:46 And you see that Donald Trump's approval on gas prices was at about

19:50 55% and it drops down to 33% over the course of one month.

19:55 His overall approval rating plummets accordingly

19:58 but not that far and not that hard.

20:00 The gas prices is one really drops a lot.

20:02 Cost of living approval is the yellow line on screen.

20:05 Uh when I post this on YouTube after, you can see that dropped as well.

20:10 This dude has screwed himself over with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

20:13 Let me just say very quickly, if you appreciate the facts,

20:16 facts, facts that we bring with these live streams,

20:18 both Mike Nellis of Endless Urgency and Adam Mach of Mach Media,

20:21 then make sure you subscribe.

20:23 You can also become a paid subscriber to help support our teams, help us grow.

20:27 Independent media is cooking every single day and it's because of you all.

20:30 Genuinely, it's because of the support of you all.

20:32 I had a comment highlighted from like two minutes ago.

20:34 Linda Aldrich says, "So, Adam, I have a smart and beautiful 21-year-old daughter

20:38 that you should meet if you are single.

20:41 Thanks for uh thanks for doing my Linda.

20:43 Linda's Linda's a bro.

20:44 Let's go." Linda, I don't even need Hinge or anything.

20:47 I don't need to go out to these bars.

20:48 Linda's just like, "I got you, Adam.

20:49 I'm I love this for you." Yeah.

20:51 I'm just gonna Nobody's offering it, but just let everybody know I'm married.

20:56 Okay.

20:56 It reminds me of the Chris Cuomo quote last night.

20:58 I was on a show and he was like, "Oh, yeah."

21:00 He was like, "Adam, you and I have been sideways on my couch going at it.

21:04 We were like, pause.

21:05 You got to clarify that we debated one time

21:07 and in your we were debating over a topic, not sideways on your couch.

21:11 What the hell?

21:11 I'm sorry." The look on his face [laughter]

21:15 when he when he realized what he said.

21:17 If folks haven't seen this, go find this clip.

21:18 It's on Adam social.

21:20 Um, it's hysterical, but like Chris Quo was like, "Well,

21:22 that came out wrong." And then he just digs himself deeper into.

21:24 Oh, I was like, "Oh my god, buddy." Like, I like Chris Cuomo.

21:28 Like, I was just like, "Stop talking." So, Joy says, "I love you guys,

21:31 but please give us some hope at the end of your talk." Yep.

21:33 After all of this, I think we should wrap up with some hope.

21:36 Here's the hope.

21:36 We are only a few months away from a midterms

21:39 that will lead to a massive spike in accountability, oversight committees.

21:43 We're going to be questioning them.

21:44 We're going to make sure that we get them on the record.

21:46 These Republicans, and we're not going to let people slip away.

21:49 Pam Bondi is no longer technically in the administration.

21:52 and she might have some random job on the side.

21:54 Same with Christine Gnome.

21:55 But we are going to make sure

21:57 that we hold everybody accountable and ask them questions,

22:00 make sure we get them on the record.

22:02 I think the hope that I'd give is about a year and a half ago,

22:05 things felt very, very grim.

22:07 When Donald Trump was taking office,

22:08 it was actually hard for me to even see like

22:10 Elon Musk and Donald Trump and all these people taking victories.

22:13 It hurt all of us.

22:14 I think we can all even feel the pain

22:16 that was happening when that transition of power happened.

22:19 But we are now into a We're at a point

22:22 where Trump has blown all of his political capital.

22:26 I was actually rather worried when Trump took

22:27 office that he was going to sit back naively.

22:30 I was worried he was going to sit back,

22:32 have a steady hand, and basically let Joe Biden's economy continue to rip.

22:36 I remember my friend and I were saying, "Dude, if he just does nothing,

22:39 if he just kind of chills out,

22:40 he might actually have a decent economy." But no, that didn't happen.

22:44 He blew all of his political capital by starting dumbass wars,

22:48 by placing tariffs on countries in a dumbass way,

22:51 and by never backing down off of this stuff.

22:53 I mean, he does like back down or whatever,

22:55 but when it comes to the war in Iran, he has refused to find any sort

22:59 of meaningful off-ramp and is hurting the American people.

23:02 So, the hope that I'd give is things will get better.

23:05 There is light after the dark and sometimes you need

23:08 the dark to understand how to get the light in the sense

23:10 that we can now reverse engineer a blueprint to stop

23:14 this type of authoritarianism from creeping into our institutions again.

23:18 We have people like Mike, like me who are fighting for this every single day.

23:22 And we're building a network of young folks,

23:25 folks who can push and fight, push our country in the right direction.

23:29 Um Mike, I know you have a team around you and I have a team around me of Micah,

23:33 he's in law school, Hayden who is uh he's 20 years old in college.

23:37 We just we have a lot of young people who

23:41 are pushing the country towards a vision that we see.

23:44 So that's worthy of hope.

23:46 There is a light on the other side of the tunnel

23:48 and we will push this country to a better direction.

23:51 Yeah.

23:51 And I and I'll just add on that is like

23:53 look there's a lot of very awful things that are happening

23:56 in the country right now and they expose [clears throat]

23:59 the very worst of what this country has to offer sometimes.

24:01 I often talk about you know Trump is not the disease.

24:04 Trump is just a symptom of the disease.

24:06 And the good thing about guys like Trump is that they make it

24:09 really hard to look away at the things that are broken in this country.

24:12 So I think that a majority of Americans in a time

24:15 that we haven't seen in a very long time, maybe since the tail end of George W.

24:18 Bush's administration, are desperate for change,

24:20 looking for community, want to turn the page.

24:23 And the Trump era is ending, guys.

24:24 One way or another, this era of our politics is ending.

24:27 And we're going to enter something new.

24:29 I'm not going to promise you that that something new

24:31 is going to be better because it could be worse.

24:32 There are guys like JD Vance and Peter Teal and Tucker Carlson

24:35 who are out there plotting whatever the hell they really believe in.

24:38 Nick Fuentes is out there plotting.

24:39 And I think if he were old enough to run for president, he probably would.

24:43 And we got to fight back against those guys.

24:45 We got to make ourselves known.

24:46 But Trump has tarnished the MAGA movement and destroyed it.

24:49 He has destroyed the Republican party once again.

24:51 If we nominate a good candidate in 28,

24:53 we have an opportunity to get back into power.

24:56 If you look at the polling heading into November,

24:58 we Democrats might be on the verge of a 30 to 40 seat House victory.

25:01 Right now, I think we're slightly favored

25:03 to take back the Senate, which is crazy.

25:05 And if we can win 52 seats,

25:06 we're in a position where we have what I call a John Federman proof majority

25:10 where if that guy decides to take

25:11 the bribe from Donald Trump and switch parties,

25:13 that we can still stop Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominees because

25:16 the hubris of him of them is Scalia and the other one,

25:20 I forget who the other one is.

25:21 It's old.

25:21 They're all old at this point.

25:22 Uh but Scalia is not retiring this year.

25:24 Like none of them are retiring this year.

25:26 Trump's not going to get to pick another

25:27 Supreme Court nominee unless one of them dies.

25:29 And if Democrats take back the Senate with 52 seats,

25:31 we can make sure that he can't remake the Supreme Court,

25:33 and we'll have an opportunity to do

25:35 that with the next Democratic president in 2028 and 2029.

25:38 So, we can fix the things that are broken right now

25:40 if we keep up the fight and we keep doing this work.

25:42 And so, my advice to everybody is, first of all, take care of yourself.

25:46 Don't spend a bunch of time doom scrolling.

25:48 Watch our show, engage with us if you're

25:50 willing to support the work that we're doing.

25:51 Eight bucks, $80 a year goes a long way.

25:53 I I'm approaching like 4,000 paid subscribers here on Substack,

25:56 and you guys fuel everything that you see.

25:58 I have a whole content studio.

26:00 I have two staffers that work with me.

26:01 I don't take a dime from this business.

26:03 And that's on purpose because right now I have a day

26:05 job that pays for my salary and supports my family.

26:08 And I want to invest everything back in building this community.

26:10 The more that we build these communities,

26:12 the more that you go out there and volunteer for local Democratic candidates,

26:15 the more that you make small dollar donations if you can,

26:18 more that you pick up the phone and talk

26:19 to your friends and have tough conversations with people,

26:21 the closer we're going to get to get out of this because the next era is coming.

26:25 All right?

26:25 It's not coming fast enough.

26:26 Unfortunately, we still got two and a half years of this nonsense

26:29 and and there's going to be things that happen that are worse,

26:31 but we can get through it and we can get through it

26:33 together and we can build something better on the other end of it.

26:36 Uh the one final thought is, you know,

26:38 as much as Barack Obama was an imperfect president, he was a great president,

26:41 certainly compared to what we've seen with Donald Trump and I

26:43 would argue to a certain degree aspects of Joe Biden's presidency, too.

26:46 But in order to get Barack Obama, to get the American people to a place

26:49 where they were ready for that kind of change, we had to have George W.

26:52 Bush for two terms.

26:53 And so if the antithesis of Trump is whatever comes next,

26:56 I think we could do something pretty damn special with that.

26:58 Because as much as I'd like to have avoided this opportunity

27:01 and currently be talking about God knows what with Kla Harris president,

27:04 we'd be so mad about something else

27:05 that would be way more acquaint compared to this.

27:07 But right now we've got an opportunity.

27:09 I don't know who it's going to be.

27:10 I'm not going to advocate for the candidate.

27:11 But I think if we do that and we use power effectively

27:14 in the way that frankly they didn't do in 2009 under Obama,

27:17 we can remake this country in a pretty meaningful way and improve your life,

27:21 which is more important than anything.

27:22 Like nothing that happens in Washington is about

27:24 the improvement of people's lives and that's got to change.

27:27 Absolutely.

27:28 No, it's absolutely got to change.

27:29 We've got to rewire the incentives so they're not just worried about

27:32 power and appealing to lobbyists and we're worried about appealing to us.

27:35 I love you guys.

27:36 We will see you on Saturday 10:00 a.m.

27:39 Central sharp to talk about whatever is happening that day.

27:42 Probably Trump tacoing and not tacoing,

27:44 but probably Trump escalating then backing down then escalating again.

27:48 Yeah, it'll be that it'll be that cycle of market manipulation like that.

27:50 The bombings will continue and then

27:52 Monday morning there'll be like another ceasefire.

27:53 Yeah.

27:54 Love you all.

27:54 Peace out.

27:55 See you next time.

27:56 Bye.
