0:28 you were here because uh we made a shocking discovery about you.

0:32 [laughter] It was shocking to me anyway that you you are Irish.

0:35 You're from Ireland.

0:36 You're from Dublin, right?

0:37 Correct.

0:37 Is that Well, born in Dublin but from Monahan.

0:41 Never had corn beef.

0:43 I had not.

0:44 Threw me for a loop.

0:44 So we sent you some and I wondered how you liked it.

0:47 It was delicious.

0:48 And I sent you a little video back.

0:50 But you know this is a long time ago.

0:53 So I wanted to extend this and keep this going.

0:55 So, I sent some pastrami to your dressing room,

0:59 which I I'm going to have to admit something.

1:01 I didn't realize it was pastrami while I was eating it, cuz I did eat it.

1:05 It was delicious.

1:06 I was like, oh, this is You just eat anything I give you

1:11 I WAS LIKE, THIS IS SO NICE.

1:14 I'm like, I'm feeling peckish.

1:16 This dress is very tight on me now.

1:19 But, uh, it was delicious.

1:20 You liked it.

1:21 Did you like it better than the corn beef or do you not even remember?

1:23 I'm going to say they were equally cuz I didn't know what I was eating.

1:27 Yeah.

1:27 Well, that was pastrami.

1:28 This is exciting.

1:29 It's really good.

1:30 So, what's what's the next time going to be?

1:32 Well, let's see.

1:32 The next time maybe we'll have a brisket next time.

1:36 Which is like I I've had brisket before.

1:39 Is there anything like you could think of that's

1:41 like a big deal that you haven't had?

1:42 I don't know.

1:43 I mean, you've had fried chicken, I assume.

1:45 I've had fried chicken.

1:46 Um maybe we'll we'll boil you up a buffalo or something like that.

1:50 You ever have any

1:51 I want some buffalo, but you have to hunt it and like kill it yourself.

1:54 Oh yeah, sure.

1:55 I will.

1:58 So, have you ever worked at a restaurant like when you were getting?

2:02 Oh my god.

2:02 Yeah.

2:03 I I mean, you know, I've paid my dues,

2:05 but I I used to work in a bar restaurant in Shamine in the French Alps.

2:11 Oh, really?

2:11 Wow.

2:12 Sounds very fancy, wasn't it?

2:13 It was.

2:14 No,

2:14 no, [laughter] it was run by a very nice uh Irishman from Cork.

2:19 And I mean, you know, I can't say it was the most professional of places,

2:24 but he had, you know, Swiss, well, the French Alps,

2:26 so he had a cowbell and then [laughter] every like 30 minutes or whatever,

2:32 the cowbell would go off and all of us servers had

2:34 to go to the bar and take a shot of Fern Brana.

2:37 [laughter]

2:39 This, you know, whatever kind of level

2:40 the staffing was at the start of the night,

2:42 it was not the same at the end of the night.

2:44 [laughter] That was a required part of the job.

2:47 I mean, yeah, we we really needed notepads because

2:50 by the time you're asking a person the third time,

2:53 like, I'm sorry, what was it that you wanted?

2:54 [laughter] Did the customers become accustomed to that or

2:58 I mean, I think they had low expectations anyway.

3:00 But, you know, have you you've lived in LA, right?

3:03 Yeah, I lived here.

3:04 How long did you live here?

3:06 For four years.

3:07 Yeah.

3:07 Who was the first celebrity you saw when you lived here?

3:11 I mean, I saw a few.

3:12 I, you know, some more, you know, kind of amazing than others.

3:17 I had one incident where I met Prince.

3:20 That was pretty cool.

3:21 That's a good one.

3:22 Wow.

3:22 That's a big one.

3:23 I [applause] mean, not a physically big, but that's a small one, but a big one.

3:27 I think it was not maybe my finest moment, though.

3:30 What happened with Prince?

3:32 Um, so, you know, at the time, I'd like to preface this with I was in my 20s.

3:37 I didn't have a lot on, so day drinking was a thing, okay,

3:41 that sometimes would happen.

3:42 I seem to have a lot of alcohol stories, but whatever.

3:45 Um, you heard the bell.

3:47 [laughter]

3:48 I heard there was a bell going.

3:50 So, I' I'd been on a bad date and we were daydrinking and then

3:54 a friend of mine had performed and Prince was a fan of hers.

3:58 And so, I got a call right about what I should have been

4:02 going home that she was with Prince at Barmont and they were like,

4:06 "Come, you have to come by." And of course,

4:08 you know, against my better judgment, I went.

4:11 I met Prince.

4:12 We were sitting at a table.

4:14 I might have had a drink.

4:15 I was on a stool that didn't have a back.

4:20 [laughter] I think you all can guess where this is going.

4:23 Um, I might have ended up looking at the ceiling.

4:26 [laughter] And Oh, you didn't fall on Prince?

4:29 No.

4:30 No, not quite on him, but like right in front of him on the floor.

4:33 Did Prince laugh or help?

4:35 I

4:36 I I There was a luck.

4:37 There was a luck.

4:38 And then, you know, even in my drunken state, I was like, "Oh, this is not good.

4:42 This is really not good." But he did offer to help me up.

4:45 He did.

4:45 Did you take him up on that offer?

4:47 I mean, there was many people.

4:49 Yeah, there were many people helping helping me up and then helping me out.

4:52 Yeah.

4:53 [laughter] Now, you've done eight seasons of Outlander,

4:56 which is a I mean, that makes it like a real show.

4:58 It's going to be our [applause and cheering]

5:04 And I know the fans are like super hardcore

5:06 to the point where you probably have to hide from people.

5:08 Yeah.

5:10 I mean, you know, they're very passionate.

5:12 Okay.

5:12 Um, are there pe Have you met people who you're surprised watch the show?

5:17 I have.

5:18 Like who?

5:19 Um, well, I think one of the ones I was at a lunchon

5:22 about two years ago for a film and it was Maestro Bradley Cooper's film.

5:28 Oh.

5:28 And I was sat next to him and I, you know,

5:30 I was like, "Oh god, I'm sat next to Bradley Cooper." Like,

5:32 "Okay." And I was like, "Hi,

5:33 I'm Katrina B." And he was like, "I know who you are.

5:35 I love Outlander."

5:38 Oh.

5:36 And I was like, "Sure he does." But then

5:39 he proceeded to go through all of the episodes,

5:42 all of the characters, and I was like,

5:43 "Oh my god." Like, you you do watch the show.

5:46 So, I'm sorry, Bradley, I've outed you.

5:48 But yeah, he's he's a big fan.

5:50 Did you that make you think more or less of him?

5:54 Cuz I would think more, but it seems

5:56 I was like, "Aren't you very busy?" [laughter] Like,

5:59 you can't be too busy for television.

6:01 No.

6:01 Is that it?

6:02 Bradley Cooper's top number one?

6:04 No.

6:04 I mean, I love Bradley Cooper.

6:06 Uh Joanie Mitchell.

6:08 OH WOW.

6:09 I can't [applause] I can't even imagine her watching TV.

6:13 I I mean

6:14 Joanie Mitchell, how did you find this out?

6:16 Oh god.

6:17 Was it that friend who hung out with Prince?

6:19 [laughter]

6:20 Oh god.

6:21 Um it came through um Bear uh who does our music.

6:26 It came through his wife I think knows Joanie and she Yeah, she watches.

6:30 That's pretty good.

6:31 And we had an episode that was called Both Sides Now

6:33 and we all signed a a script and sent it to her.

6:37 Did you hear back?

6:39 No.

6:39 No.

6:39 [laughter] She will, I assume, be watching the uh the final episode.

6:44 Joanie, I I hope so.

6:46 Were you Are you pleased with how it came out?

6:49 I don't know yet how it came out.

6:52 Why don't you know how it came out?

6:53 This is a good question, Jimmy.

6:55 Oh, you were not told how it came out.

6:56 I have not been told.

6:57 We We filmed

6:58 Does that mean you're not in the end?

7:00 I mean, I I hope have to be.

7:02 I know I filmed some stuff that I would assume is in the end,

7:05 but um yeah, it was very strange this season.

7:09 Matt wanted to keep everything very close to his chest.

7:12 So, he was sort of doing out the scripts one

7:14 by one and even the last script that we got,

7:18 we knew there was stuff in there that was never going to be filmed.

7:21 And then there was stuff that wasn't in there

7:23 that we knew was going to be filmed.

7:25 And so, there was lots of there was lots of stuff going on.

7:28 So even as the star of the show after eight season by the way and producer

7:34 and a producer he [applause] hold on I don't think this is anything to applaud.

7:41 [laughter] You still had not earned the trust of Matt?

7:47 I mean enough to tell you what the ending is going to be.

7:50 So you shot multiple endings of this thing.

7:53 Yeah.

7:53 Well I mean we shot stuff that I know it can be edited different ways.

7:58 I see.

7:58 And then there was some stuff that I wasn't involved in and then Yeah.

8:02 I don't know.

8:03 Wow.

8:03 All right.

8:04 Well, you'll be like these guys called Matt, you know,

8:07 when it airs and you will see that for the first time.

8:11 Yeah.
