Surviving a 15 HOUR FLIGHT Across the WORLD *high maintenance*

Surviving a 15 HOUR FLIGHT Across the WORLD *high maintenance*

Makayla Lysiak

0:00 I have to survive a 15-hour non-stop flight across the world,

0:04 and the problem is I'm a high maintenance

0:06 as This is my first time traveling abroad,

0:09 and you're not going to believe where I'm going.

0:11 Let's get into it.

0:25 [music] They have a ton of food.

0:32 Yes.

0:33 Desserts?

0:33 Look at this.

0:34 What is this?

0:35 Uh like tarts?

0:36 I've never been to like a premium lounge ever.

0:40 I just always sit in the main airport, so this is crazy.

0:42 After paying so much money, like if I get a little little compensation.

0:46 I'm I'm just looking for the water.

0:51 My siblings are in the American Express Lounge.

0:58 And apparently it's really cool.

1:00 We're just having the time of our lives right here.

1:04 [music] It's okay, but Speaking of siblings,

1:07 how about we get to know the family a little bit?

1:08 Here's a quick introduction.

1:10 We have Mama Lizak, whose husband does not like to be on camera.

1:14 My little brother Mikey,

1:15 who fun fact speaks [music] Spanish, French, and Chinese.

1:24 My older brother Zachary, who's always traveling and comes prepared for flights.

1:28 And my younger sister Melissa,

1:29 she's a year and a half younger than me and I consider her my best friend.

1:32 We're about to board the flight,

1:33 so I think it's time to do the final reveal of the travel destination.

1:36 You've waited multiple videos,

1:38 have put your guesses in comments and on Instagram stories.

1:41 We're going to Sydney, Australia.

1:45 We're going on a 15-hour non-stop flight 7,500 miles away from Los Angeles.

1:51 While it's winter in California,

1:52 it's summer in Australia because they're on the opposite side of the world.

1:55 Like they're on 19-hour time difference.

1:58 They're a day ahead of us.

1:59 Sydney is known for its vibrant city, but also its close proximity to beaches.

2:02 You can quickly get from the central

2:04 business district to Bondi Beach, to Coogee.

2:06 There's an entire coastline of beautiful views, beautiful beaches.

2:10 Two hours away from the main city, you'll find rainforests and mountains.

2:14 I can't wait to explore it with you, but first we have to survive this flight.

2:17 Basically, there's going to be insane jet lag.

2:18 How late do we need to stay up tonight?

2:20 So right now it's 9:47 p.m.

2:23 What I would do is I'd stay up till about 3:00 a.m.

2:27 California time.

2:28 So that means it's going to be 9:00 p.m.

2:30 Australian time.

2:31 So follow the time schedule.

2:32 Are you trying not to smile cuz you're so excited?

2:34 Basically, the mission is to stay up till 3:00 a.m.

2:38 I've never flown internationally, let alone business class international.

2:42 So I was not expecting my seat to basically

2:45 be [music] a small bedroom that came with two blankets, two pillows, slippers,

2:50 a toiletry bag, a little lamp you could turn on and off,

2:53 a TV, a mini fridge with water, and there were headphones.

2:57 There was a menu with different meal courses that I had to review

2:59 so I could tell the flight attendant what I wanted to eat.

3:02 Soon the cabin lights dimmed [music] and we were ready for takeoff.

3:05 Goodbye California and hello a long flight to Sydney.

3:09 The goal now is to stay awake until 3:00 a.m.

3:11 and figure out our nighttime routine.

3:14 [music] And we have plenty of time to do that because

3:15 look at how far away we are on this map.

3:17 Like I'm going to be hovering over

3:18 the Pacific Ocean applying moisturizer and a face mask.

3:24 We are up in the air.

3:26 I got some champagne.

3:27 Cheers.

3:27 [music] The meal courses arrived and don't be fooled by how it looks.

3:31 It still tasted like airplane food.

3:33 No shade, but I'm very glad I had Chipotle before I got on that flight.

3:36 Right after the meals,

3:37 I went over to the bathroom and washed my face in the tiny bathroom cabin.

3:41 It was a struggle to say the least.

3:42 I might have left that bathroom with wet pants from splashing the water.

3:45 And I also brushed my teeth.

3:47 Basically, everything I would do before

3:49 getting into my topical skin care routine.

3:51 I have to stay up for like 3 more hours.

3:52 I guess I'm going to do an on flight self care routine

3:55 because essentially when we land we'll be getting there at 9:00 a.m.

3:58 so I'll have to be well rested and ready to take on a full day.

4:00 Like I can't sleep once I get to Sydney.

4:02 I feel like 2026 is starting off so bougie.

4:05 We had my birthday and it it felt so luxurious.

4:07 If you follow me on Instagram you know,

4:09 like I kind of treated myself for my birthday.

4:11 And we even went to the Grammys in the last vlog.

4:13 22 is crazy.

4:15 I have some skin care and everything.

4:18 So we're going to do a little in flight beauty routine.

4:20 I'm so excited.

4:21 First I'm going to go in with my Hydranity spray.

4:23 It kills any bad bacteria.

4:25 You just kind of mist it all over your face.

4:27 As you can see from this high definition camera, I have acne prone skin.

4:32 Next I want to go in with Tatcha hydrating spray.

4:35 It's super important to stay hydrated when you're on flight and that goes

4:38 not only for in taking water but literally just like your skin care too.

4:42 But we actually need to add in some moisture.

4:44 I've been really liking the Elune brand.

4:47 Elune and this is a super thick ceramide lotion.

4:52 My skin needs this.

4:56 Put that also on your hands.

4:58 Okay, my lips feel so dry.

5:01 So I'm going to go in with the Tatcha lip mask.

5:03 I've been loving this recently.

5:07 Oh.

5:08 I think I put way too much on.

5:09 Summer Fridays jet lag mask.

5:16 Next we're going to lock all this hydration in with glass skin mask.

5:20 It's a collagen collagen hydrating mask.

5:25 This is the Medicube one, literally the viral one on TikTok where you see all

5:29 the people peeling their skin off as if they're shakes shakes.

5:34 I'm so tired.

5:35 Snakes shedding their skin.

5:41 This Medicube product is definitely worth the hype.

5:44 So this takes like 15 minutes to dry.

5:48 It's like kind of cooling, too.

5:50 Like it feels a little chubby.

5:52 I've fridge back here and I have some water.

5:54 We're going to throw some Liquid I.V.

5:56 in this bottle to keep us hydrated in all ways

5:59 and not just in the skin, but in the body.

6:02 Favorite Liquid I.V.

6:02 flavor?

6:04 White Peach.

6:06 Woah.

6:08 Holy Skin care and brewing potions.

6:13 Woah.

6:14 So extra.

6:15 When someone asks me if I'm high maintenance.

6:19 Okay.

6:23 Next, I also have these sort of like indent lines on my face.

6:28 That's just inherited from my dad.

6:30 There was like a photo of Kylie Jenner that went viral of them being like,

6:34 "It's her botched filler." I'm like, "I have that natural.

6:38 I don't have to pay thousands of dollars to look crazy.

6:41 I just get that genetically." Next,

6:43 I need to protect my hair cuz I just got these braids

6:45 and I have no idea how to take care of them.

6:50 Oh dear.

6:51 The things girls do for beauty.

6:53 I don't see any men doing this.

6:55 Actually, I see no one doing this.

6:58 I think I'm just going to do this.

7:00 This takes skill.

7:03 Is the silk side in or out?

7:21 What's?

7:22 Wait.

7:22 Literally, the whole back is out.

7:24 What the I swear that took me like 20 minutes.

7:30 [music] It's almost 3:00 a.m.

7:32 40 minutes left.

7:33 So, let's recline our seat and get ready for bed.

7:35 Fully laying down.

7:37 I have a bed.

7:38 It's fully reclined.

7:41 Like it.

7:41 Like I'm Like it.

7:43 Like I'm the ocean right now and I'm laying down on an aircraft.

7:50 That's so cool.

7:54 I will see you in the morning.

7:56 Basically in Sydney, I have 12 more hours.

8:00 Hopefully I can sleep 9 hours.

8:04 Yeah.

8:16 It's the morning.

8:17 We have 3 more hours.

8:19 I feel so dry.

8:21 I can feel my lips.

8:24 After 9 hours of dryness, we needed a morning refresh.

8:27 Natasha.

8:29 Natasha.

8:32 Natasha, this is just one of their lip products.

8:37 Yes, okay.

8:38 I need to try my mask.

8:48 Flight attendants, please be seated for landing.

8:51 After many, many hours and a lot of dehydration,

8:54 I looked out the window and we were arriving in Sydney,

8:57 Australia where the local time is 8:52 a.m.

9:01 Which brings us to the end of this video, but the trip is just getting started.

9:05 Did it look weird?

9:06 What?

9:06 I don't I don't know.

9:07 I'm here for 10 days.

9:08 There's so much to do,

9:09 so much to explore and I'm taking you every step of the way.

9:11 I'll be posting content on my Instagram

9:13 at Mikayla Lize so subscribe so you don't

9:15 miss the rest of the travel series and I'll see you in the next episode.
