2026 Rookie Mock Draft 🚨 Full 12-Team Breakdown (Every Pick)

Fantasy Football Today

0:02 Welcome to Fantasy Football Today Dynasty.

0:04 I am your host Heath Cummings and I'll tell

0:07 you in just a moment who I'm joined by.

0:08 You see him on the screen.

0:09 If you're watching on YouTube, you know these guys.

0:12 We are doing something very special today.

0:15 We are doing a live mock draft on the show.

0:18 Wait, that's not special.

0:19 We've done that before.

0:20 What we're going to do though is give you guys an opportunity to draft with us.

0:25 I'm sending the link right now to Taft.

0:27 Taft's going to put it in the YouTube chat because I can only do

0:30 so many things at one time and I'm really bad at doing other things.

0:34 I mean, drafting and hosting a podcast is already too much for me.

0:39 So, we're going to be doing a four round superflex

0:42 tight end premium rookie only mock draft here to join me.

0:46 Matt Coopert, Matthew Rupert, it's the Couch Scouts.

0:51 You know, I talked to uh I talked to both of you guys during draft prep season,

0:54 but it's good to have you here after the draft.

0:57 I always give Cooper a chance to uh hype up Couch Scouts.

1:02 I know our community has uh really enjoyed being a part of your community.

1:07 Yeah, absolutely.

1:07 Thank you for having us on, Heath.

1:09 And uh it is it's fun to get in here and do

1:11 a mock draft and kind of we do so many months

1:15 of research ahead of time and we have all of our pre-draft

1:17 stuff set and then the draft just throws a wrench and everything.

1:20 So, uh it's good to kind of in real time sort

1:22 through how we feel about these players when we're on the clock.

1:25 So excited for that.

1:27 Um, as far as Couch Scouts goes, um, we have a podcast.

1:31 You can find us.

1:32 Just search Couch Scouts on any podcast platform.

1:35 We also have a website.

1:36 So, you can check out couchscouts.com.

1:39 And, uh, we probably our main feature, especially right now,

1:43 this time of year on the website, is we have a rookie guide.

1:46 So, we covered uh over 70 prospects, in-depth uh,

1:50 scouting report, trait by trait, um, position by position.

1:54 We've got rankings.

1:55 We've got numerical film grades assigned to these guys.

1:58 So, it's meant to be the ultimate cheat sheet for dominating your rookie draft.

2:03 And uh we also have a free community Discord.

2:05 So, I think um you guys are going to drop the link in the show notes for that.

2:10 So, if people want to come join uh there's like over

2:13 300 guys in there talking dynasty fantasy football all the time.

2:17 It's a really fun community.

2:19 So, yeah, really excited uh for the show, but thank you for having us on again.

2:24 and ready to get into it.

2:25 I don't know if we're if we're full yet, but we are very full.

2:29 Jaquin's very excited.

2:31 JCON We're not quite full.

2:33 We're we're very close to full.

2:34 Jaquin's very excited.

2:36 He's in the draft.

2:36 I I see we got three spots left according to the chat.

2:40 Again, it will be a superflex tight end premium fourround rookie mock.

2:44 You get one minute per pick and we will break it all down as it happens.

2:49 But then this is going to happen so fast that we will definitely

2:52 go through round by round after the draft to tell everybody what went on.

2:56 Matthew Rupert, thank you for being here.

2:59 I feel like the superflex tight end premium is the one format where it's like,

3:05 okay, this class isn't as bad.

3:09 Yeah, the tight end class is pretty deep.

3:11 And then, you know, the the quarterback class is kind of weak,

3:15 but there's still some guys there that have a path to being able to start.

3:19 So, you can get excited about some of those second

3:22 round picks um in in the superflex drafts.

3:25 So, it's it definitely helps with this draft class being able

3:29 to get excited about your your picks in those later rounds.

3:33 I I see Gideon Gibbs in the uh draft.

3:35 I had Jacob Gibbs on on uh on Tuesday

3:40 and we talked about kind of the tight end premium rankings.

3:43 Jacob has one of the most insane tight end premium league.

3:47 Yes, Copeland.

3:48 You see it says eight nine rounds.

3:50 No, that's not going to happen.

3:52 It will be a four round draft.

3:53 Don't worry.

3:55 Um you don't have to draft nine rookies.

3:57 So I I think a lot of leagues are

4:00 wishing they didn't have to draft more than two rookies.

4:02 Look like we got two spots left in the draft.

4:05 I'm going to put you guys on the spot because I

4:07 I'm going to try to snipe you later in the draft.

4:10 And Matt Cooper, you're drafting two spots after me.

4:12 Have you developed any favorite late round picks that you

4:16 think you're just going to be higher on than everybody else?

4:20 Yes.

4:20 And I think we'll probably get to some of those.

4:23 Um I'm sure some of those picks will be made.

4:26 I I'll I'll spoil a few.

4:28 I I think um it does get ugly in the third and fourth round.

4:32 Um Justin Jolie is a guy that we have really liked throughout the process.

4:37 Um in spite of going fifth round,

4:40 like he he didn't get the good draft capital that we were hoping for.

4:43 But I do like the Denver landing spot.

4:45 You know, Evan Ingram is there on a one-year deal.

4:47 I I think there's a chance for him to earn

4:50 the starting tight end job by next season at least.

4:54 Um you know, we saw Gazden do it as a fifth round pick last year.

4:57 So, that's a guy for me.

4:59 And then like a much deeper sleeper.

5:01 Um, CJ Daniels went to the Rams was a guy whose tape we we definitely liked.

5:07 Had him graded, I think, in our rookie guide as a flex option.

5:11 Obviously, he falls to sixth round.

5:13 That's not ideal.

5:14 Um, but with the Rams,

5:17 you've got an aging Devonte Adams who has

5:20 had issues staying healthy over the last few years.

5:23 And then like Puka as far as we know is still in rehab I think.

5:27 So um there's just enough uncertainty there that I'm like maybe he could

5:32 come in and carve out a role earlier than we think that he could.

5:35 Uh because we think he's a good player.

5:37 You can go ahead and pull up the draft board tap.

5:40 We are full spots 1 through 12 locked in.

5:43 The draft starts now.

5:45 Mr.

5:46 Selfish I'm going to go ahead and mute my computer.

5:50 Mr.

5:50 Selfish myself going to draft first.

5:53 You guys go ahead and mute your computers

5:55 as well so we don't get those draft sounds.

5:58 Um I don't know if Taft will have to do that also,

6:00 but um yeah, we we Jeremiah Love goes first.

6:05 Unsurprising to most people.

6:07 He's the consens.

6:08 Would either one of you consider in a superflex draft taking Mendoza if you

6:13 really needed a quarterback or if you were at the beginning of a rebuild?

6:17 I would have to be super desperate for quarterback.

6:20 uh just I just view love as an elite fantasy producer whereas I view Mendoza

6:26 as like a solid fantasy producer which I think you can replace a lot easier.

6:32 So I really can't imagine any scenario where I would go Mendoza over Love.

6:37 Yeah.

6:37 I don't care how desperate I am.

6:38 I'm not doing that.

6:39 Love is the 101.

6:41 Mendoza did not go second.

6:43 Nikki T took Carnell Tate.

6:45 Couch Scouts took Jordan Tyson there.

6:48 Fernando Mendoza goes forth.

6:50 I I notice we're still getting the uh the sleeper sounds.

6:53 We're trying to make sure we get everything muted so you guys don't hear those.

6:57 It kind of adds a little bit of uh ambiance, I guess.

7:01 But Matt Matt Cooper, you you took Jordan Tyson third overall.

7:05 Is there a tear break behind him and Mai Lemon for you?

7:08 Lemon did wasn't even the third wide receiver, as we'll talk about in a moment.

7:12 Or is it is it um is he are those top three pretty close for you?

7:16 They are pretty close.

7:17 I mean, they have been throughout the process.

7:19 To me, Tate is is the clear number one as far as like talent.

7:24 My film score, I had him three point,

7:26 two or three points higher than the next highest guy.

7:29 I had him, you know, he got the best draft capital.

7:31 I think he got the best landing spot.

7:33 So, Tate is my clear 102.

7:35 Um, I was hoping that the guy at 102 uh

7:38 would take Mendoza and I would get get my guy Tate.

7:41 Um, it's really close for me between Tyson and Mendoza.

7:45 Mendoza is my fourth overall and um but yeah, Tyson,

7:49 it's hard to argue with the top 10 draft capital and I think if he's healthy,

7:53 he's probably got the most upside um of anybody not named Carnell Tate.

7:59 Mendoza did go 104 to Eric.

8:01 I think that's that's a great value if you can get value at 104.

8:05 Uh Gideon took Casey Conception.

8:08 Mai Lemon goes at 106.

8:11 Did you Did that feel like a steal, Matthew Rupert?

8:15 Yeah, absolutely.

8:16 To me, um I I still have him at 104 in my rankings.

8:21 He's just such a good player.

8:23 Like I get that the landing spot is, you know, not the greatest.

8:27 Um I I can't really fault taking Conception above him because

8:31 I love Conception as well and then he has a much

8:34 clearer path to being the number one target earner whereas women's

8:37 going to have to fight with Dvonte Adam, uh Devonte Smith.

8:40 So, I I get it, but I I'm just going to buy on the talent there.

8:45 I think he's just so good.

8:46 He's going to rack so many targets and PPR points.

8:50 Uh I'm very happy getting him there.

8:54 So the first six picks Jeremiah Love, Carnell Tate, Jordan Tyson,

8:57 Fernando Mendoza, Casey Conception, Mai Lemon, then Jadarium Price goes at 107,

9:03 Kenyan Sadique 108, Omar Coup Cooper goes at 109,

9:08 Nick Singleton 110, Ty Simpson 111, Eli Sters 112.

9:14 So this is a tight end premium draft.

9:16 Matt Cooper, I know you're getting ready to make your pick in round two.

9:21 So I am on the clock, aren't I?

9:22 You you are on the clock.

9:23 I'll ask Rupert.

9:25 Is this is this the only format where Sters back to you Matt Cooper?

9:29 Is this the only format where Sters goes in round one?

9:31 And is round one too high even in tight end premium for him?

9:36 I can totally see Sters going round one, especially in a 12th round.

9:40 I have them at 12 in my rankings.

9:42 So, that's exactly where I have them ranked.

9:44 Um landing spot is is good.

9:46 It might be a bit muted this year with Dallas Goddard still there,

9:49 but there's definitely that upside.

9:52 um with that draft capital role.

9:54 Cooper, we we had just I this never works

9:57 because I try to use your last names because it's

9:59 Matt and Matthew and then Cooper and Rupert sound

10:03 too much alike and nobody knows who I'm talking to.

10:05 But we had Jader and Price go one spot

10:08 ahead of Kenyan Sadi in a tight end premium league.

10:11 I think that might be a little bit unusual.

10:12 How excited are you about Price in Seattle?

10:16 And is this the right spot in tight end premium for him?

10:20 I'm not that excited about him.

10:21 If I'm being completely honest,

10:23 I think um he definitely rose in my rankings after the draft.

10:26 Like you couldn't ask for better than first

10:28 round draft capital to a needy team in Seattle,

10:32 but as a prospect, I didn't think he was a first round talent.

10:36 Um there's already noise coming out of Seattle's camp

10:41 that they don't see him as the immediate bellcow.

10:44 You know, at some point you got Charbanet is going to come back there.

10:47 Uh, I just don't I think it's shortsighted.

10:52 Everything about Price's profile scares me.

10:55 Like, you know, the built-in excuse that, oh, well, you know,

10:59 he was backing up Jeremiah Love and you've

11:01 got there was no passcatching profile at at all.

11:05 Um, I don't really see a lot of elusiveness.

11:09 Um, some tackle breaking, but he's a little undersized.

11:12 I think he was 203 at the combine,

11:14 so you're not really looking at a power back either.

11:16 He's got great vision.

11:17 I'm not saying he's not good at anything.

11:20 I just I think it's the boost that he's getting all the way

11:24 up to like the 106 range is is too high for me.

11:28 The first five picks of round two, I took Denzel Boston, then Jeremy Bernard,

11:33 you took Antonio Williams, then Chris Bell,

11:36 then Zachariah Branch, Matthew Rupert.

11:39 Is this all one tier of wide receivers?

11:42 Is there one that you definitely like a lot more than the other guys?

11:48 I I would not put Branch in the same tier personally.

11:51 Uh the other guys are definitely in that tier.

11:54 I think Boston is is a higher rated guy,

11:58 but Antonio Williams is probably my favorite of the bunch just to be has

12:03 a clear shot to be like wide receiver too in that um commander offense.

12:09 He's a guy that can get open on the outside and play against press.

12:12 We saw that in 2024 film when he played outside a lot more.

12:17 2025 he was mostly in the slot, but he's just such a weapon.

12:20 Gets open often.

12:22 We've kind of compared him to Josh DS uh as a guy

12:25 that you can kind of move all over and can get open wherever.

12:29 Solid ball skills, good after the catch, very elusive.

12:32 So, I think he's going to be a weapon

12:34 for that team is a really good compliment to Terry McCor.

12:38 Matt Cooper.

12:39 We saw Matthew Roert at 106 after those five wide

12:42 receivers take the fourth wide running back in this class.

12:45 I I often see him as the third running back off the draft, but off the board,

12:49 but Jonah Coleman at 206, one of only two running backs drafted in round two.

12:55 Of course, we did have the surprise with Nicholas Singleton going at the 110.

13:00 When you look at Coleman, Singleton,

13:03 and then EMTT Johnson who was drafted at 211,

13:06 I have all these guys kind of at the very end of round two or early round three,

13:11 especially in tight end premium.

13:13 How do you value those guys?

13:14 Do you have a clear favorite?

13:17 Yeah, as as far as the running backs go, Coleman for me would would be my RB.

13:25 I don't have my rankings pulled up.

13:26 I actually I really like Coleman, though.

13:28 I I'll say I I would have Coleman

13:29 ahead of Johnson and Johnson ahead of Washington Jr.

13:32 So, just like it went here.

13:34 Um and I just I like the path there in Denver.

13:38 You know, they've got Dobbins.

13:41 Um for now, he's always hurt.

13:44 He's you know, he's

13:46 I think he always surprises me with his age because

13:49 I feel like he's like 32 because of his knees,

13:51 but he's actually like 27 or something.

13:53 But right, you know, I feel like it's the long term.

13:58 Coleman and Harvey complent each other well.

14:00 I think that's a good one-two punch.

14:01 You've kind of got your for Shawn Payeyton,

14:04 you've got a little bit of a very poor man's version of Kamara

14:07 and Harvey and a very poor man's version of Mark Ingram and Jonah Coleman.

14:11 So, uh, yeah, I like the path there for him to get touches.

14:15 I think he's a good player.

14:17 the the rest of round two after Jonah Coleman,

14:19 Max Claire, the uh third tight end taken.

14:22 Again, this is a tight end premium superflex rookie draft.

14:25 Then Elijah Serat, Ted Hurst, Justin Jolie,

14:28 you heard him mentioned earlier in the show.

14:30 I think it's a little earlier than he's going amongst the tight ends,

14:33 but we have the couch scouts on, so that makes sense.

14:35 Emtt Johnson's the 211.

14:37 And then the third quarterback, Carson Beck, goes at 212.

14:42 Matthew Rupert, when you look at the quarterbacks after Ty Simpson,

14:46 I actually thought we got some interesting landing spots for Drew Aller.

14:50 Uh, even for Talon Green, certainly for Carson Beck in Arizona.

14:55 I'm more of round three on these guys, but how do you order those three?

14:59 Beck, Allar, and Taylor Green.

15:02 Just in that order.

15:03 Uh, and Beck to me is a good bit above.

15:07 To me, there's that queer path to being able to start this year.

15:11 Like even if Jacobe Brassette starts the year for Arizona,

15:16 I can totally see them just throwing in Carson Beck like the second

15:19 half of the year just to see what they have in him.

15:22 And he's a guy that's, you know, played uh multiple seasons in college.

15:26 He's not like a one-year starter.

15:27 So, he's got the experience to be able to to walk in.

15:31 He plays he can play from under center.

15:34 He go through his progressions well.

15:37 He just really makes some boneheaded decisions sometimes

15:40 and has that gunslinger mentality a little too much.

15:43 So, uh I I think he's a guy that especially at this point in the draft,

15:48 you can recoup that value that you get from them.

15:51 You can potentially reroll him into a better asset.

15:54 Uh we saw it a lot last year.

15:56 There's multiple quarterback injuries and things

15:58 like that during the the season.

16:00 So you could trade a guy, you know, that's not a all like alltime starter like

16:06 a Jacobe percent and get like a second round pick.

16:09 So I think it's it's a good spot for him.

16:11 We've finished three rounds of picks.

16:13 We finished two rounds of reveals.

16:15 We're going to take our first break.

16:17 When we come back, we'll finish up the draft and we'll break it all down.

16:21 When you need your sports news all the time,

16:23 we've got breaking news to bring to you.

16:25 CBS Sports HQ hits every highlight from all the sports that matter to you.

16:29 We're bringing you that breaking news right here on HQ

16:32 CBS Sports HQ streaming free 247.

16:37 It's fun looking at Sleeper ADP right now

16:39 in the draft room because it feels like it's still influenced

16:42 by ADP before the NFL draft and and kind

16:45 of the order we thought these guys were going to go in.

16:47 A little bit of scrolling necessary.

16:48 I took Eli Rar on a little hat tip to Jacob Gibbs at the start of round three.

16:53 Chris Brazzle goes second, then Mike Washington to Matt Cooper.

16:57 Malachi Fields.

16:59 I I This is one of those moments where Heath was hosting a podcast and did

17:04 not realize that Malachi Fields was available

17:06 and should have taken him over Eli Ridon, but good pick there, Eric.

17:11 I really like Eric's draft a lot.

17:12 We'll talk about that in a moment.

17:13 Katron Allen goes with the 305.

17:15 Skyler Bell the 306.

17:17 Dejon Stribbling fell to 307.

17:19 That seems like a good value also.

17:21 Dean Claybornne goes 308.

17:24 Oscar Delp at 309.

17:25 Jacobe Lane, Brennan Thompson, and Kevin Coleman round out round three.

17:31 I I just realized I've set myself up

17:34 for really messing up somebody's round four name by doing

17:37 a round four draft where I can't see all of the first names in the draft board.

17:42 So, go ahead and try to embarrass me, someone in the chat.

17:45 But looking at the round three results,

17:48 um the Mike Washington pick that you where you took Matt Cooper.

17:52 Y

17:52 that is uh round and a half later than Nick Singleton,

17:58 a full round later than Jonah Coleman, a few picks after Emtt Johnson.

18:05 Shouldn't all those guys be kind of just like bunched together?

18:09 Yeah, I think it's the landing spot really for Washington

18:12 that has dropped him and it did for me too.

18:14 Like pre-draft, I would have taken Washington a good bit earlier than this.

18:19 Um, post-draft, this was kind of right in line with it.

18:24 I was like considering Mike Washington.

18:25 I was considering uh Skyler Bell, a few others.

18:28 But um yeah, it's he goes there with Genty and you're

18:34 like I know Kubak historically likes to use two running backs,

18:39 but there's such a big talent gap between Ashton Genty and Mike Washington Jr.

18:45 and yeah, the draft capital's just okay.

18:50 Um if I'm remembering correctly off the top of my head,

18:52 I think it was round four for Washington, right?

18:55 Um, so you know, sometimes guys get a chance to get on the field round four,

19:01 but it's far from a given.

19:03 And I think probably he kind of almost plays like an algier type of role.

19:08 Like he's going to be on the field to give

19:10 Genty a breather and he might poach some goal line touches.

19:13 And um but I don't think he's going to be

19:16 on the field enough to have standalone value unless Genty gets hurt,

19:20 which if Genty gets hurt,

19:21 I think there's some really good upside there for Washington to um

19:26 at least have some resale value where you could there's hype generated.

19:30 He has some good weeks and you get a chance to flip him for a pick potentially.

19:35 So in a better class.

19:38 We are almost to the conclusion of round four.

19:42 Looking still at round three though,

19:44 two picks after um Cooper took Mike Washington,

19:48 Katron Allen goes to Gideon Gibbs.

19:50 Roupert, this seems like a situation where he

19:54 he has the opportunity in this back field,

19:57 but the for me when I look at I'm like the opportunity for what?

20:00 I don't think he's going to be a passcatching running back and I

20:04 don't actually think he's a better rusher than Jakori Kroski Merritt is.

20:08 I I'm not sure the opportunity that appears to be

20:11 there in Washington is actually there for Kron Allen.

20:14 I'm in a 100% alignment there.

20:16 And that's why I like the landing spot, even though it seems wide open.

20:19 I I just don't believe it because to me, he's a first and second down back.

20:24 I don't think he's better than than Merritt at this point.

20:27 I think he's just a solid NFL like backup.

20:31 So that's why I would have passed on him there.

20:33 And I have him probably lower my rankings than consensus.

20:36 Round four.

20:38 We'll read through that and then we're going

20:39 to kind of go through the whole draft again for those of you who are not

20:42 watching on video and can't see all the picks.

20:44 But Drew Aller was the first pick of round four by me.

20:49 We had a little quarterback run later in round four.

20:52 Michael Trigg went with the 402.

20:55 CJ Daniels, you heard the couch scouts talk about him earlier in the show.

20:58 He went 403 to Matt Cooper unsurprisingly.

21:01 Kalon Black 404.

21:02 Jack Indries the 405.

21:04 Bryce Lance 406 then Adam Randall Garrett Nusmire Kate

21:09 Kubnik Talon Green Eli Hidenrike and I can't I'm not

21:15 Deon Burks I believe Deion Burks was Mr.

21:18 Irrelevant.

21:19 Somebody in the chat I saw said that Roush should have been 412.

21:24 I do think it seems to me that in a 12

21:28 team four round tight end premium rookie draft,

21:30 Sam Roush probably should have at least been considered.

21:34 Although not the best situation for him either.

21:36 Let's let's kind of turn we'll come back

21:39 to round four closer to the end of the show.

21:41 But let's let's turn our attention back to round one.

21:44 Matt Cooper, biggest surprise for you either in the order in a guy

21:49 that wasn't drafted or in a guy that was drafted in round one.

21:53 The biggest surprise for me was Nick Singleton going in the first round.

21:56 Um, I just don't know if I've seen that in any

21:58 of the mocks or actual drafts that I've participated in so far.

22:02 I mean, it's not like crazy crazy because he's

22:04 usually in the early to mid second, I think.

22:08 Um, but that is the highest I've seen him go.

22:10 And for me, I mean, I'm just much lower on him than consensus anyway.

22:15 So, I wouldn't even take him in the second round personally.

22:19 I just um I mean the draft capital is not good.

22:24 Like I know this is a I know 2026 is like a rough draft class,

22:28 but if we're taking a fifth round NFL draft pick,

22:31 like late fifth round in the first round of our rookie drafts, like that's bad.

22:38 That's pretty bad to me.

22:39 Uh in terms of like if that's the status of this class,

22:44 that's it's tough on Dynasty players when that's going on.

22:48 But um I would say just I mean he's very athletic.

22:53 You could definitely argue that he only fell

22:55 in the draft because of the the foot

22:58 injury that you know maybe he would have been a late day two guy.

23:01 I don't know.

23:02 Um I think his vision and patience are really questionable.

23:07 I think he's more athlete than football player.

23:09 Um and I just I'm worried about that pick.

23:13 I don't think it's I know that with the Titans there's some opportunity.

23:17 There's Pard there.

23:18 There's um Spears.

23:21 But I think both of them are

23:22 on contract years and potentially might not be back.

23:25 But I think even if both of those guys were gone,

23:28 they'd just draft somebody else next year.

23:29 I just don't see Nick Singleton ever being a starter in the NFL.

23:32 He went 110.

23:33 The pick right behind him, Ty Simpson at 111.

23:36 I think we'd all agree that we would take Simpson over Singleton.

23:40 But Matthew Rupert, when you look at Simpson

23:42 as a prospect in this whole situation in Los Angeles,

23:45 is this a quarterback that like you definitely think deserves to go in round one

23:49 of Superflex drafts and and do you see him as a starter in the NFL?

23:54 I I didn't love his film,

23:56 but I took it with the grain of salt like he is a one-year starter, right?

24:00 So, he needs time to develop.

24:02 So him actually going to the Rams and actually having time to sit,

24:06 learn, develop is makes him more enticing to me.

24:10 So I did move him up in my rankings into the first round.

24:13 Um so I I can totally see taking him here if you need a quarterback.

24:17 The good thing is like he's going to have insulated value.

24:20 So even if he doesn't start this year,

24:21 like you're still presuming that they're going to start him at some point.

24:24 So his value is not going to go down.

24:26 Uh so that's why I I like taking him at the back end.

24:30 Rupert, I'll ask you for your biggest surprise of round two in just a moment.

24:33 But first, just for those of you who are not watching and are listening

24:36 and want to hear that order of round one more time, it went love.

24:40 Tate, Tyson, Mendoza, Conception, Lemon,

24:44 Price, Sadi, Cooper, Singleton, Simpson, Stowers,

24:49 and Singleton was the one that we thought was maybe a little bit high,

24:53 but you know, we we appreciate the uh the viewers drafting with us.

24:57 Certainly not uh not criticizing anybody.

25:00 What was your biggest surprise in round two, Matthew Rupert?

25:04 Zachariah Branch going that early was a bit surprising to me.

25:08 Um all the Serat, Ted Hurst, Brazzle, Malachi Fields,

25:13 and Skyward Bell I have ranked ahead of him.

25:16 I like the athlete.

25:17 I like the yakability.

25:19 To me, he's more of a like special team specialist and gadgety player.

25:25 You just didn't really see him run the routes at the college level.

25:30 For me to take him that high,

25:32 I don't think he's going to be able to earn as many targets as the other guys.

25:36 There's definitely a path to relevance there

25:39 with pretty much nothing behind Drake London.

25:42 Um, but I I would have rather uh drafted the wide receivers

25:47 that I've seen run routes and get open at the college level.

25:50 We um I think he was taken at pick 17 overall.

25:54 I have him at pick 21 overall in this format.

25:57 So, not not a huge difference, but definitely a little bit lower.

26:01 Um, when you look at the two tight ends drafted in this league,

26:04 because I do want to focus on those a little bit,

26:05 Matt Cooper, with uh with this being a tight end premium draft,

26:09 Max Claire probably more of the uh consensus round two pick in this format.

26:15 Justin Jolie, one of one of the guys you guys really like.

26:18 How do you compare those two guys?

26:20 And was there any other tight end that you

26:22 thought deserve to be drafted in round two?

26:26 Yeah.

26:27 Um, I do have Jolie ahead of Claire and a lot of that was just kind of sticking

26:31 to my guns with my pre-draft even though CLA obviously

26:34 got uh much better draft capital there in the second round.

26:38 And I like Claire.

26:39 I think he's interesting,

26:41 especially when you look back at like what he did at Purdue

26:43 where he was used more heavily than he was at Ohio State.

26:47 Um, that's interesting to me that at least

26:51 at one point he was a a high target earner,

26:54 high yards per route run guy.

26:56 Showed the ability to do that at the collegiate level.

26:59 Um, there's some athletic traits there.

27:01 I think he can run routes nicely.

27:03 He is more of a receiving tight end than a blocker.

27:06 So, from a fantasy perspective, we like that.

27:09 Um, definitely a crowded tight end room there with the Rams.

27:13 You know, I was going to say like,

27:15 how do you contrast the fact that he got the early draft capital

27:18 with the fact that he's probably tied in four on his own team in 2026?

27:23 Yeah.

27:23 I mean, I like Claire more than I liked Ferguson last year,

27:26 so I'll say that much.

27:28 And, um, you know, Higgby, I think, is getting a little long in the tooth.

27:33 I don't know how much longer he'll be around there.

27:36 Um, Parkinson is is good,

27:39 and they run three tight end sets at the highest rate of anybody in the NFL.

27:42 So, there's some upside there if Claire I don't think it's

27:48 out of the like all of those guys are good tight ends,

27:50 but none of them are like can't be beat on the depth chart.

27:54 I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility

27:56 that at some point CLA could be the tight end one there.

27:59 And if he was, that would be an extremely valuable role.

28:03 Um, so yeah, I mean I I like Claire.

28:06 I've got them Jolie is at 20th in my rankings and I've got Cla at 24th.

28:11 So, I I'm not they're not crazy far apart for me.

28:16 Uh, Matthew Roert, I I just want to give people

28:19 a chance to talk about Emitt Johnson because I loved him

28:21 at Johnson before the draft and then he got drafted

28:23 to the Chiefs on day three behind Kenneth Walker at least.

28:28 Do you think he becomes the immediate handcuffed to Walker?

28:32 Absolutely.

28:32 And we talked about it this past week on our podcast.

28:36 He's a flag player for me like where

28:38 where I'm seeing him going in rookie drafts.

28:41 Kenneth Walker has only stayed healthy all season once in his career.

28:46 To me, Emma Johnson's the best the second best rusher on that team by far.

28:51 Uh he's really good at pass catching in the passing game, running routes.

28:57 So, that's something that Ken Walker doesn't really do.

29:00 So, he I think he takes that role immediately.

29:04 Um and then like he's so good in space

29:06 and Andy Reed knows how to get good players in space.

29:09 So that landing spot's enticing to me.

29:11 Even though you have Kenneth Walker in front of him,

29:14 I think he can still provide some standalone value.

29:17 And then I think he's one of the best handcuffs uh that you can

29:20 get just due to the fact

29:21 that Kenneth Walker's availability hasn't always been there.

29:25 All right, Cooper, I'm going to come to you

29:27 for your favorite non-couch scouts pick in round three.

29:31 First, I'll read through the names of round two.

29:34 It was Boston, Bernard, Williams, Bell, Branch,

29:39 Coleman, Claire, Sarat Hurst, Jolie, Johnson, Beck.

29:45 That is for round two.

29:47 Round three.

29:49 Who was your favorite value that wasn't drafted by a couch scout, Matt Cooper?

29:54 Um, I actually really like, excuse me,

29:56 the Braz the Brazil pick that went one pick before me.

29:59 I was hoping that he would make it to me.

30:02 Um, I think there's he's a rough around the edges player.

30:07 Um, I was really intrigued listening to there's another

30:11 podcast and I and I don't remember the name.

30:13 It just came across my Twitter feed.

30:15 So, if I could give credit I would.

30:17 Uh, I just don't don't remember.

30:19 But this is a very he thing to do on the podcast.

30:21 Like this is a thing that I saw and I don't remember who did it.

30:24 So, fits perfectly.

30:26 Um they talked about his time at two lane and how, you know,

30:31 Tennessee is such a gimmicky kind of offense

30:34 and a lot of it doesn't translate to the NFL.

30:38 But at Tlane, apparently he ran a ton of real

30:40 wide receiver routes and looked really good doing it.

30:43 So that's intriguing to me.

30:44 It makes me want to go find some of that two-lane

30:46 film and watch it because if he can run

30:49 a lot of real wide receiver routes and really sink

30:52 his hips and snap out of his brakes at his size,

30:55 with his speed, with his ball skills,

30:58 there are a lot of traits to work with there.

31:01 Um, I I like Jaylen Coker a lot.

31:03 I don't think it's completely out of the realm of possibilities that Brazil

31:06 could beat out Coker and be the wide receiver too on that team.

31:11 And yeah, I mean it's an upside pick,

31:15 but I I really liked that swing there in terms of um you know,

31:20 it gets ugly in the third round in this class.

31:21 We'll just call it spade a spade, but I like Brazelle's path more than

31:25 I like Washington's by a significant amount,

31:28 and they went one pick apart from each other.

31:30 So, I thought there was a drop off there.

31:33 Uh Matthew, we saw two tight ends go in round three.

31:37 So, we had two in round one, two in round two, two in round three.

31:40 He look like two in round four.

31:41 Also, I took Rare on with the first pick of the draft.

31:45 May or may not be influenced by Jacob Gibbs,

31:47 who absolutely loves him and has him in the middle

31:50 of round two in in tight end premium.

31:52 Oscar Delp went at 309, another guy that Gibbs was pretty high on.

31:56 How do you view these two?

31:58 And does Raron get a boost from the potential of being Drake May's tight end?

32:03 Absolutely.

32:03 I I really like both these tight ends and they're

32:06 some of my favorite targets later in the draft.

32:08 Raron is that really big, moves pretty well, tight end.

32:14 He just knows how to box out defenders.

32:16 Like he he has that natural ability to use his body

32:19 that not everyone that's a a big tight end knows how to do.

32:23 And uh I when I started watching his his tape,

32:27 I was like kind of unimpressed, but the more I watched, the better he got.

32:32 Um, so he he's a guy that like rose up in my rating as I watch more.

32:38 Delp is amazing to watch on film,

32:42 but there's just not a ton of production with him at uh Georgia,

32:46 but when you watch like not a lot of guys move like him.

32:50 He's so fluid, so uh good at running routes and routing guys up,

32:55 he looks like he has really good hands.

32:58 So even though he doesn't have the production profile you want,

33:01 to me he has all the athletic traits that you want

33:03 to see and I think the path there in New Orleans is good.

33:07 So I I really liked DP as well.

33:10 Seeing a lot of comments in the chat about

33:12 the the the late first ADP on FFPC for Mike Washington.

33:18 Um I think the very early ADP for Jarian Price.

33:22 I'm going to have to look into that.

33:24 um because that's not not what the reality that I've seen in any

33:27 of the mocks or even the real rookie drafts that I've seen going on so far.

33:31 It'd be interesting if there's a big uh wide swing there between these day three

33:35 running backs um in the high stakes

33:39 leagues and in our maybe more normal leagues.

33:42 But Malachi Fields, the 304 Matt Cooper,

33:45 I was really upset with myself because I was paying attention

33:49 to the draft and not paying attention to my draft board.

33:51 I was trying to run a podcast and I failed.

33:55 How do we how what's everybody else's excuse?

33:58 How how does a guy that the Giants traded up

34:01 for on day two that has a chance to be the wide

34:03 receiver too on a Giants offense that we're at least somewhat

34:07 excited about when Malik Neighbors might not even be totally healthy?

34:10 How does he fall to the middle of round three?

34:14 Yeah, for me I can only speak for myself.

34:16 Uh and when I look at my we call it our recliner rating.

34:21 It's our our film numerical film grades that we assign to these prospects.

34:26 Um, and we go trait by trait through

34:27 a bunch of categories and we grade each individual category

34:30 and they have different weights based on our philosophy

34:33 of what we think translates to score in fantasy points.

34:36 Um, and you know, for me, Malachi Fields graded uh at a 67.33,

34:44 which is a backup with starter upside in our scale.

34:47 And when I was on the clock looking at Brazil, Brazil was a 73.25.

34:51 So that's a six-point difference.

34:53 Um, Brazil is more of like a mid-range flex option is how he graded out for us.

34:59 Um, so it's just a I'm I'm sticking with my pre-draft eval.

35:04 I'm trusting the talent.

35:06 I I just I don't see any evidence really

35:09 that Malachi Fields can separate even on the collegiate level,

35:12 much less the NFL level.

35:13 I think he's going to be a sacrificial X, a jump ball guy.

35:17 I just don't believe in the player.

35:18 Well, this worked out pretty well for me either

35:20 way because either I'm wrong about Malachi Fields or I

35:24 get to tease Adam and Dan about their team

35:26 trading up for a player who's not actually any good.

35:29 So either way it it'll work out fine for me.

35:32 So round three was Raron Brazzle,

35:34 Washington Fields, Allen Bell, Stribbling Claybourne,

35:38 Delp Lane, Brennan Thompson, Jacob Gibbs loves him also, and Coleman.

35:43 Let's take our second break.

35:45 When we come back, we're going to break down round four and then we will um

35:49 take a few of your questions if you

35:52 have some for the couch scouts right after this.

36:01 Game bread is in the building.

36:06 Chris Widman, Dean Thomas, are you ready?

36:11 Oh boy, this one is going to be crazy.

36:18 So, I'll give you guys both a chance and you can you can

36:22 even use a Couch Scouts pick if you want, but not your own.

36:26 Um, favorite pick of round four and one player who

36:31 wasn't drafted who should have been drafted in round four.

36:33 Cooper, you can go first.

36:36 Um, as far as a favorite pick that's not my pick,

36:43 I man this is a round four in this class is rough.

36:48 I it is hard to find a single guy

36:51 that I would be like super excited about rostering.

36:54 Um, you know, maybe taking a shot on one of these quarterbacks,

36:57 Aller or Clubnik or even Tayen Green.

37:00 I mean, those guys all have like darkhorse chances to earn a job.

37:04 And if they earn a job,

37:05 you can flip a fourth in a bad class for a second in a better draft class.

37:10 So, I I guess I'll I'll say any of those quarterback picks

37:13 I think are are fine swings that I like in the fourth round.

37:17 So, he knew that you were going

37:19 to have to answer this question too, Matthew Rupert.

37:21 And so, he just took four of the eight

37:24 options off the board and you can't choose your own.

37:28 Go ahead.

37:28 Diab whoever diabolical

37:31 whoever you would like you can say one of the five guys that Matt

37:35 Cooper liked in round four but who who who was your favorite I

37:39 I think I'll go with Adam Randall

37:41 converted wide receiver to running back at Clemson.

37:45 Uh really big guy, still learning the position,

37:49 learning how to read blocks in front of him,

37:51 manipulate defenders, but there's no doubt about it.

37:54 There's athletic traits there.

37:55 And he get gets to go learn behind Derrick Henry.

37:59 Um and he has a similar insanely huge build.

38:04 So it'll be interesting to see how he can develop.

38:07 Uh I I like that upside swing here in the draft.

38:10 Taft had asked in the chat when it was time

38:12 for the last pick of this draft, who should be Mr.

38:15 Irrelevant.

38:17 Um, the answer of who was Mr.

38:19 Irrelevant was Dion Burks,

38:22 but I'll get let you go first this time, Matthew Rupert.

38:25 Who should have been the the 12th pick, the last pick in this draft?

38:29 Who's the best player who didn't get drafted?

38:32 Oh, great question.

38:33 I would need to pull up the draft again.

38:36 You you I'll I'll go through mine.

38:37 Matt Cooper, do you know do you have a name?

38:40 Um Caleb Douglas is the highest guy on my ranking sheet.

38:46 Um not a player that I am in love with by any means.

38:50 Again, you know, we're talking about 412 here, right?

38:54 But you know, the path is there in Miami.

38:56 Like it's I like Chris Bell a lot better,

38:59 but it's wide open for anybody to come in and earn a role.

39:02 And even if Chris Bell did earn the wide receiver one,

39:04 there's, you know, somebody's got to be the second wide receiver, right?

39:08 So, um, yeah, just off of the the path for opportunity at 412,

39:12 I probably would have taken Caleb Douglas.

39:16 Um, Tanner, I'm going to pronounce his last name Kao Kajul.

39:20 Um, the the tight end, it would probably have been my pick.

39:24 Who is your highest rated, Rupert?

39:27 I I'll go with Seth McGawan, running back.

39:31 uh that went to Indie.

39:33 He's extremely talented player, but there's he's an older prospect.

39:37 There's off-field issues.

39:39 Uh but he he's very talented,

39:42 very explosive for his size, really big running back,

39:45 and he I think he has a chance to be the RB2 behind Jonathan Taylor.

39:49 Um, I wanted to ask you guys about Kalin Black because like

39:53 the 49ers have taken a lot of heat and the reason they've taken

39:56 a lot of heat is because they drafted a wide receiver early

39:59 in round two that was just taken in round three of our rookie draft.

40:06 And they drafted a running back as the third back in this class

40:11 and he in this draft was drafted as the seventh running back off the board.

40:17 Is there a chance we're just going to look dumb for doubting the 49ers?

40:23 I don't think so.

40:24 I I just didn't see it with him.

40:26 He was one of my lowest rated players in this draft.

40:30 Um to me, I I thought it was more he was getting what was blocked for him.

40:37 And he has some decent speed, um decent and pass protection,

40:41 but I just didn't see a lot of traits that would produce fantasy production.

40:46 To me, he's a bottom of the roster RB34 kind of guy.

40:51 So, Matt Cooper, Kalon Black's somebody that we

40:54 don't like relative to his draft capital.

40:56 Eli Hidenrike, I saw Hiden Reich's truther stand up in the chat.

41:01 He is someone that like it seems like everybody on Twitter

41:04 likes to talk about a lot more than NFL teams.

41:07 He went to the Steelers.

41:09 Is there is there any hope that he's a value at 411?

41:13 Um, I don't have a lot of hope for that.

41:16 Um, and I I'll just say I didn't.

41:20 He was one of my hardest evals because,

41:22 you know, he played slot wide receiver in college,

41:25 but then he goes to the combine and he works out as a running back.

41:27 I'm like, how do I grade him?

41:29 Which position do I grade him at?

41:32 Excuse me.

41:32 Um, I don't know why my voice is having issues right now, but um,

41:38 I I ended up grading him as a running back because that's what he did

41:41 at the combine and everybody starts dropping

41:43 all these Christian McAffrey comparisons because they measured.

41:47 Well, I think because he measures and tested like almost identical to Christian.

41:51 As soon as I saw Christian McCaffrey to Eli Hidenrike on Twitter,

41:55 I was like, "Okay, the draft needs to get here." Um,

41:59 but it's just so hard because he did take a decent

42:03 number of carries for a slot wide receiver in college,

42:06 but most of them were these like reverse sweep type things.

42:09 There's there's not a lot of evidence of him

42:11 like lining up in the back field, you know,

42:14 running zone or gap schemes, reading the defense,

42:18 you know, making making a good cut up field.

42:20 He didn't look that spectacular with the ball in his hands to me.

42:24 like I actually thought he was much better as a slot

42:26 wide receiver than he was when they gave him the ball.

42:30 So, no, he's not very high in my recliner rating.

42:34 Uh the draft capital is not very good.

42:36 He's not a guy that I'm that I'm super excited about.

42:39 I I know he's got his truthers, but

42:41 I think the interesting thing will be is if he

42:43 keeps this running back eligibility and ends up playing slot for the Steelers.

42:48 That would be interesting.

42:48 Um, and then maybe that is the path to where he uh he turns into a good value.

42:54 We had one question in the chat.

42:57 Somebody was surprised that there was no Cyrus Allen in these four rounds.

43:01 Was that a mistake?

43:03 He's actually a guy that we are working on adding

43:06 a profile to our rookie guide postdraft because we like

43:10 the Chiefs pull the 49ers uh a little bit.

43:13 I mean, he was I know he was a I think he was a senior bowl guy.

43:16 He wasn't like totally off the radar,

43:18 but we just didn't think that he was going to be fantasy relevant.

43:21 And so, I mean, we we did 72 prospects, I think, and he wasn't one of them.

43:26 Uh, and then he goes to the Chiefs, and anybody with the Chiefs kind of gets

43:30 steamed up uh because of that landing spot.

43:33 Um, fifth round's okay.

43:36 It's not great.

43:38 Um, but it it was enough that we're like with the landing spot.

43:42 And then I saw Harmon had a lot of good things to say

43:44 about him and that really piqued my interest because anytime Matt Harmon,

43:48 you know, he's kind of the goat of wide receiver analysis in my book.

43:51 So anytime he puts out a route chart and it's lots of green for a guy,

43:55 I'm like, "Okay, I'm I'm intrigued here." So, um, yeah,

44:00 he's a guy that we are actively scouting right now and trying

44:04 to add a profile to our rookie guy postdraft for our our subscribers,

44:09 but, um, I don't have a strong opinion on him yet, if I'm being honest.

44:13 Well, and I I don't I don't want people

44:15 to think that you were just way low on him.

44:17 I was just checking Matt Waldman's pre-draft guide, and um,

44:21 he was not a top 30 wide receiver in Waldman's pre-draft guide.

44:26 right now.

44:26 He's probably moved up a little bit now that he's been drafted.

44:28 Um, but like that was kind of the way that most people viewed him.

44:32 There were a few people that were ahead of the curve.

44:34 Matthew Roupert, if you're looking at the quarterbacks after Ty Simpson,

44:38 so the ones that were drafted in this draft,

44:40 Beck, Aller, Kubnik, Green, and Nusmeer.

44:44 Um, why don't you rank those guys, not in how you evaluated them,

44:47 not in how you like them, but most likely to start football games this year.

44:52 Yeah.

44:52 Uh after Beck, I would go hour and Nusmeer.

44:58 You know, Nusmeer has Justin Fields that he's going

45:01 to be competing against to start if Patrick Mahomes misses time.

45:06 So, there's potential there.

45:08 Um you know, who knows what happens with the with the Steelers.

45:12 Um is Aaron Rogers coming back?

45:14 Is he not?

45:15 Is it Will Howard or Drew Aller?

45:19 Right.

45:18 I guess we'll find out.

45:19 So, I think there's a path for both those guys to potentially start.

45:23 I think it's a long chop for Club Nick to beat out Gino

45:26 Smith and then Talon Green has four other quarterbacks in front of them.

45:31 Um, and it seems like they're all aboard the Deshawn Watson train again.

45:34 So, uh, I I think Drew is a nice upside pick there in the fourth round.

45:39 I was thinking Nesmire last Matt Cooper just because

45:42 I don't think that we're probably going to see

45:45 Clubnik beat out Gino Smith and I don't think

45:48 we're going to see Tayen Green win the competition,

45:50 but I have no trouble imagining that by week nine those two

45:54 teams are so terrible that let's just see the young guy.

45:57 That was my thought because um particularly with the Jets

46:02 um I mean obviously the Browns it's like okay

46:04 which young guy are they going to give Shidor Sanders

46:06 another audition or whatever but at least with the Jets

46:09 like Clubnick went earlier in the draft than I thought

46:11 he was going to round four like an early round

46:13 four if I if I remember correctly I thought Clubnick

46:18 might go like round five or later maybe even undrafted.

46:22 So and the team if I think they did they

46:24 trade up for Clubnick or am I making that up?

46:26 I I don't have that information in front of me, but anyway, I thought

46:32 there's a very good chance uh that Clubnik at some point

46:36 in the year starts games and it's not because he beats out Gino Smith,

46:39 it's because the Jets are so bad.

46:41 They're like, "Let's see what we've got in the young guy."

46:43 You think they know what they have in Brady Cook?

46:45 I think they do.

46:46 And I also think like to be fair to Clubnick,

46:50 he was a guy that was being talked about

46:52 as potentially QB1 going into this collegiate football season and it

46:57 was a train wreck of a season for him and you

47:00 could probably put a lot of that on coaching, too.

47:02 I think that offensive coordinator is not there anymore.

47:05 Um, I'm not trying to make all the excuses in the world for the guy,

47:08 but what I am saying is that he has traits and at one point

47:10 enough traits that he was talked about

47:12 as a potential first- round NFL draft pick.

47:15 So, am I over the moon about Club Nick?

47:17 No.

47:18 But I I think there's some untapped potential there.

47:22 And I think, you know,

47:24 there's a decent chance he starts games before the end of this season.

47:28 Awesome.

47:28 Awesome stuff, guys.

47:30 Really appreciate it.
