1:42 actress and Red Sparrow star Jennifer Lawrence decided to set the record

1:45 straight regarding rumors she had an affair

1:48 with her passenger co-star, Chris Pratt.

1:51 leading to the end of his marriage to wife Anna Ferris.

1:54 Jennifer quote said, "I never had an affair with Chris.

1:58 That's a good one.

1:59 They got divorced like two years later and everybody

2:02 was shouting Jennifer Lawrence." And I was like,

2:05 "What the what?" So ladies, when it comes to couples breaking up,

2:09 why do you think that people always look for someone to blame?

2:13 Well, the problem is why they blaming somebody else

2:15 instead of the two people that's in the, you know,

2:18 a relation or in the in the know the details.

2:23 Exactly.

2:22 If if we're going to be real, you guys, people like juicy, gossipy stories.

2:28 And it's more fun to hear, ooh,

2:30 guess who broke up that like it doesn't matter if it's the truth,

2:34 if it's not the like people love to hear that.

3:19 me a cheater because that is something completely against my morals.

3:40 with this reputation of being questioned as that.

6:31 So, it's like, no, I'm going to stand up for myself.

6:35 So, I think it's good for especially women.

6:50 and a woman works together don't mean they always got to sleep together.

8:10 especially in an industry where people get caught up in themselves, right?

8:14 So, we live in an area where it's real,

8:16 but that doesn't mean that it has to be

8:17 real to you when somebody accuses you of that.

8:20 WELL, YOU KNOW, FROM DAMAGING SOMEONE'S reputation to damaging someone's hair,

8:24 a recent article on the website Sandra Rose asked a tricky question,

8:28 how young is too young to wear hair extensions?

8:31 The question stemmed from a blog by Essence writer Briana McCarthy who

8:36 saw a young girl at her son's school wearing a long hair weave.

8:41 Now Briana wondered if the hair weave was doing damage

8:45 to not just the girl self-examine but also to her edges.

8:48 Now male as a mom with daughters and you have young daughters.

8:52 What do you think?

8:53 Well I think every parent has the right to parent how they want to parent.

8:57 So there there is no right or wrong.

8:58 But I don't think you should start too young with a weave

9:01 or with with extensions because it can damage your hair.

9:04 You know what I mean?

9:05 I mean my 19-year-old, she's she's never wanted a weave.

9:08 She's never wanted extensions.

9:09 Me on the other hand,

9:11 all weave, all extensions.

9:12 I love it.

9:13 So beautiful.

9:14 But then my 10-year-old loves braids.

9:17 So I let her have her braids a few times a year

9:20 and then and then I let her have her little pom poms.

9:48 Wearing a long wearing extensions like long hair like a grown you.

9:53 But braids to me is something different cuz all you're doing is adding

9:57 to the hair and braiding it out to make it a certain design.

10:01 But you can't have your braids in for too long either.

10:03 Because that'll create

10:05 Well, what my mom used to do when I was

10:07 growing up cuz I have like um naturally curly hair.

10:11 They call it like C4 and it's a very curly grade of hair.

10:16 But my mom used to do my hair every Sunday.

10:19 And the problem with that was that she would go out on Saturday night.

10:22 that Sunday morning, she would be hung over.

10:26 I'm over here hearing the beginning of the story and I'm like,

10:28 "Wow, that's so beautiful." A bonding moment on a Sunday.

10:32 Any black woman, any black woman,

10:34 cuz my mom believed in the press AND CURL PRESS AND curl this before,

10:39 YOU KNOW, PERMS AND STUFF.

10:40 WE HAD THAT PRESS AND CURL, RIGHT?

10:42 MY MOM BE HUNG OVER.

10:43 SHE WASH MY HAIR.

10:45 SHE bl And then you get that pressing curl.

10:47 You know, SHE'D BE A LITTLE HUNG OVER.

10:48 SHOULD BE BURNING THAT THAT EAR OUT AND YOU HAVE TO HOLD DOWN

10:52 YOUR EAR AND I GO TO SCHOOL WITH ALL KIND OF MARKS AND no way.

10:58 I always wore my hair out.

10:59 The bigger the better for me.

11:02 You wore as a little girl, you wore it out.

11:06 See, that's what I'm saying.

11:07 It's different things for different cultures, too.

11:09 It depends on on your hair texture.

11:12 I think well, first of all, you know, when we as we get older,

11:15 we get exposed to so many ways to change ourselves,

11:18 whether it's nail polish, putting on eyelash extensions, makeup every day,

11:21 that as long as you can embrace what God

11:23 gave you and keep as natural as you can,

11:26 the more you're going to become comfortable,

11:27 whether you can get those, you know, extensions and things like that later on.

11:31 So, you have to get the right person.

11:34 Yeah.

11:33 Wrong person doing your hair messes it all up.

11:35 I just don't think anybody African-American or any any child 18, 17 and under,

11:42 I think it's too young to add extensions and things like that.

11:46 If I'm going to be honest, for me, I think that's too young.

11:48 I think once you grown, you could do whatever you want to do with your hair.

11:51 But when you're a little younger wearing long weaves,

11:54 I you know, I don't know about that.

11:56 I remember when I was younger, um,

11:57 Mama Mai really helped me celebrate style, right?

12:00 We go to Marshalls and make our own clothes

12:02 with Michael's stuff and then we would color our hair, dye hair at a young age.

12:06 Today now my hair is really thin and I I will

12:09 never be able to know if I did it, you know,

12:11 if it was because of the damage that happened when I was

12:13 young or is it because I style my hair all the time now.

12:15 But I know that that is a crucial time where you got to make sure

12:17 all of your follicles are healthy and everything

12:19 grows the way it's supposed to be.

12:21 So I will say there is there is a point

12:23 of time where you want to let yourself be natural

12:26 chemicals and I will say be natural but if

12:28 the baby is there some type of medical condition that maybe

12:32 you know that maybe they have to wear a wig

12:33 or something like that of course do that but if

12:36 nothing is wrong with your you know let your kid

12:38 just be your kid you know that's what I'll say.

12:42 UP NEXT THERE'S a hair rising new trend that many people think is uber dumb.

12:47 According to BuzzFeed,

12:48 in an effort to reduce the cost of getting to the emergency room,

12:51 people are actually using ride sharing services like Lift or Uber

12:56 to take them to the hospital instead of calling an ambulance.

13:01 Ladies, do you think ride sharing services should allow drivers to give people

13:04 a lift to the hospital or is that asking for too much trouble?

13:08 I heard some mixed answers here yesterday.

13:11 Really?

13:11 None of y'all have been in an ambulance cuz have you paid that price?

13:15 A ambulance can cost $500 to $1,000.

13:19 Yes.

13:19 Thousands of dollars when you call an ambulance.

13:21 What you think, ma'am?

13:22 But then what happens if you actually have a seizure

13:25 or end up dying in the Uber or the L?

14:19 And it's true because, you know, sometimes if you're not in dire need,

14:22 like that can rack up, you know, but when you think about it now,

14:26 depending on your condition,

14:27 if something happens and you need a little bit more of a rush,

14:30 which one's going to get to the hospital faster?

14:32 A siren on an ambulance or that Uber that's stuck in traffic?

14:36 IN LA.

14:36 HAVE YOU EVER CALLED AN AMBULANCE?

14:39 I've called an ambulance.

14:40 It took 35 minutes for the ambulance to get TO ME.

14:42 THAT UBER RIDE WOULD HAVE BEEN 2 MINUTES AWAY.

16:13 they could do a special needs car for medical emergency.
