24:41 I remember start it started with you just doing a Bible study.

24:44 And then the Bible study elevated.

24:46 I I pulled up a couple times in the back

24:53 And then now a phenomenal church at Cali worship.

24:56 Yeah, man.

24:57 Like how like how did you deal with the industry

25:02 and then saying, you know what, not the money, not all of this.

25:07 Me and my wife going to stand firm for the Lord.

25:10 Well, this this job, pastoring,

25:12 is is not something you aspire to, I don't think.

25:16 If you find a guy that's going, I can't wait to be a pastor.

25:19 Run far from him.

25:21 No, this is a calling.

25:22 This is something I This is, you know,

25:24 when when God called me and started showing me things

25:26 in my own life that I need to be doing.

25:28 I was running.

25:28 I'm not I'm first of all, I don't even talk that much.

25:34 That's one thing I definitely witnessed that

25:37 I remember like one was the quiet dude in the studio

25:41 and like kept to himself and I'm like he up there cracking jokes and hinging.

25:46 I'm like yo that's you see the growth.

25:50 And and here's the thing.

25:51 I ran until one day I found myself in the hospital kidney cancer.

25:59 And I'm laying in the bed.

26:01 Then I had an operation.

26:02 They took my kidney out and had a huge tumor.

26:04 All this stuff was going on.

26:06 I was looking up at the ceiling.

26:07 I was going,

26:08 "All right, God.

26:09 Okay, I'll do it.

26:11 For real.

26:11 You ain't got to get my attention like this." Right.

26:14 And because of that, you know, my my Yes.

26:16 I was diagnosed with cancer on Friday.

26:19 Cancerree the next Friday.

26:22 Wow.

26:21 No chemo, no radiation.

26:23 They just took the thing out and that was it.

26:24 And I ain't never had to, you know, worry about it since.

26:26 But I said, "Yes, I'll do this." And and for me it was a blessing

26:31 because I thought I was gonna have to stop producing or stop man the moment

26:35 I said yes all my reg first of all my regular clients and guys that I

26:39 was working with I heard they was working on albums but they wasn't calling me

26:43 ain't nobody call I'm like what's going on the moment I said yes

26:47 right we had the first service first service the room was sat 150 people right

26:53 we get there and it's a a line wrapped around

26:56 the building right I said yo let the people in.

26:59 I said, "We can't.

26:59 It's packed in already.

27:01 People on the walls." I was like,

27:02 "What's I get home that night, two things happen.

27:04 I I see a tweet that says Jonathan Mcrenolds, good friend of mine.

27:08 Shout out Jonathan and 50 Cent

27:12 are at Warren Campbell and Eric Campbell's church." I was going,

27:16 "What?

27:16 Cent?

27:17 [laughter] I don't even know him." Right.

27:20 Come to find out, he was outside of the hotel where we were at

27:23 telling people where to go.

27:25 And they thought he was part of the he was usher.

27:27 Oh, [laughter] hilarious.

27:29 That same night, I got a tweet that said it was from Tyrese

27:33 saying, "Does anybody know Warren Campbell?

27:35 Tell him I can't find him." I'm like, "Yes do that a lot though."

27:39 Well, my thing is you got my number.

27:41 Yeah.

27:41 He sent out APBs via social media.

27:44 [laughter]

27:45 And so I [clears throat] hit him when I called.

27:46 He said, "Well, if you know who it is,

27:48 how you [laughter] said I couldn't find a number." So he says,

27:51 "This song I heard you did, I want to do this song." He called.

27:54 Then Jill Scott called and somebody else called.

27:56 Everybody start calling like, "Oh, all my regular people." Yeah.

27:59 You ain't got to do nothing.

28:00 I'm going just send you a check.

28:02 Wow.

28:02 I was like,

28:03 "Okay, this is what it is." So, I was I've been allowed to do what I do.

28:07 When you give a yes, you get the favor of God on your life.

28:10 Favor ain't fair.

28:11 And then with, you know, all my stuff I was doing with Kanye and all that.

28:13 Then when Kanye did Sunday service, Yeah.

28:16 the first time he said, "I want to bring it to a church," he called me and said,

28:18 "Can I I want to bring it to your church?"

28:20 I'm the first church.

28:21 He brought it all the It was crazy.

28:23 So, you know, a lot of favor, you know,

28:26 and people that that I work with in the industry, they show up.

28:29 Stevie Wonder and MC Light and people, all the people that come.

28:32 I I looked up in the corner

28:35 way in the back of the way in the back.

28:36 I seen Matt Barnes.

28:37 I was like,

28:38 I was like, am I tripping?

29:38 ALWAYS SAID, "GOD, I don't want to pastor." I said that my whole life.

29:42 She was like, I married a producer and a gangster.

29:46 [laughter] But we had just I had just went solo,

29:49 just put out a record, and we were still doing the Mary Mary show.

29:51 So I had radio and I was doing radio, so I had to be gone.

29:54 But he tells the church that I didn't join.

29:57 But I remember

29:58 go through the process,

29:59 right?

29:59 Well, it was it was one Sunday and I realized that I wasn't saying no to him.

30:03 I was saying no to God because God called him and if we're together,

30:06 then his call is my call.

30:08 And so I didn't want to be a distraction to him.

30:10 I didn't want him to not be able to hear from God because I'm always,

30:14 you know, so one Sunday after he preached,

30:16 I went up and I whispered in his ear and I said,

30:18 "I'm with you 100%." And I felt his I felt

30:20 his body kind of relaxed a little bit into me.

30:23 And it was just a beautiful moment of support.

30:24 And I think a lot of times in relationship,

30:26 whether you in or out of the church, you don't feel supported.

30:29 You feel like you're in a boxing ring or everybody's trying to outdo each other,

30:33 but when you realize you're on the same team, God blesses that team.
