6:19 the full kind of like official teleprompter, someone there operating it.

6:23 I land and I hear there is no teleprompter.

6:27 And I'm like, "What do you mean there's no teleprompter?" They go,

6:29 "Well, there's like these screens that are cue cards and stuff,

6:32 but like they can't put your entire like speech

6:34 of what you're going to say because what you're saying,

6:36 my opening was at least like 5 or 6 minutes."

6:38 That's not fair that they didn't tell you

6:39 that until you So I was like, "Oh my gosh.

6:42 Oh my gosh.

6:42 Oh my gosh." But they're like, "You're going to have no cards." I'm like, "Okay,

6:45 but I need to see what the format of those note cards are so

6:47 I could rehearse it." And I got to my hotel room and I just practiced.

6:51 I practiced and practiced.

6:53 And I go to the event and I just felt like I was in a good mood,

6:59 too, throughout like the entire day.

7:01 Remember I got those beta blockers?

7:03 Remember I told you that I was going to use the CeraVe PM Yes.

7:32 than if I did it and I failed and I was like, "I should have had beta blockers,

7:36 you know?" There was something where I was like,

7:38 "But I don't even want to risk taking a medication that I

7:40 haven't tested before." So I'm down to like try it in the future,

7:43 but I got to find maybe a day like this if I was really

7:45 nervous about recording or I would curious to try it for my next time,

7:50 but I also didn't have rosacea either.

7:52 And I just

7:53 And this even when you were told that oh,

7:55 we don't have a a screen uh sorry, what's it called?

7:58 Yeah, a teleprompter.

7:59 You're like, that's fine.

8:01 I mean, I was stressed,

8:02 but I just went into like no problems, only solutions type mindset.

8:06 Where like I was like, there's nothing I can do.

8:09 I'm in control of this.

8:10 Mhm.

8:11 I'm going to rehearse as much as I can and get it down.

8:14 And then I was even like using chat to like

8:16 calm me down and give me the best strategies of like,

8:18 how many times should I be rehearsing this?

8:20 And also when I wake up in the morning, do I immediately start rehearsing it?

8:23 And they were like, actually don't even look at the speech.

8:26 When you wake up, go down and have your breakfast.

8:28 Don't even look at your phone.

8:30 And I just read my book down and had breakfast.

8:32 And then I got up to the room and I spent 40 minutes just practicing it.

8:37 And it and I just stumbled maybe two times like wrote those notes.

8:41 And then just kind of kept it calm the whole afternoon.

8:43 And then I got to the moment where I had to speak and I just felt good.

8:47 Is it is it because you weren't practicing the whole time before?

8:50 You weren't thinking about it Yes.

8:51 I think if you over practice something,

8:53 I think you get a little how what's the word?

8:55 Not stir crazy, but you get a little frantic and chaotic and you start

8:58 overthinking it and running it so much to when that moment comes down to it,

9:02 you're going to just like overthink it and flub.

9:05 You know what?

9:06 That's so true.

9:07 Like can you imagine you got like a big gig,

9:09 but you weren't told about it, right?

9:11 Uh-huh.

9:11 And then the day comes and it's like, hey,

9:13 we actually we have an opportunity for you to just

9:15 like hop in camera like you're the big your favorite show.

9:17 Hey, would you want to hop in the scene or you have no time to to rehearse like,

9:21 oh, here's your lines.

9:22 It would feel a lot less stressful because like, oh, I just got it now.

9:26 That's it.

9:26 Yeah.

9:27 But then that confidence is going to make you perform

9:29 better than if you were to rehearse 2 weeks before.

9:32 And I learned this like hot tip from someone on Tik Tok.

9:35 It was like a girl on a podcast,

9:37 and she was sharing this strategy just about life, anxiety, and stuff.

9:41 Um every day she wakes up,

9:42 she says she writes down the best case scenario for the day.

9:45 Like uh and I think she's a podcaster.

9:47 She's like, "Maybe I go into the podcast, I land an amazing interview with them.

9:50 I ask them really great questions.

9:52 They feel comfortable." Write out the vision of how

9:54 the day is going to go before the day happens.

9:57 And when I woke up, I sat down,

9:59 and I wrote like a long paragraph,

10:00 like you're going to absolutely kill it today.

10:03 You're going to be calm, cool,

10:04 and collected making other people feel comfortable.

10:06 You're going to be entertaining.

10:07 Your jokes will land.

10:09 I'm sorry, before I continue, I'm trying to picture this.

10:11 Are you texting this on your phone, or are you writing it?

10:14 it on No, not handwriting.

10:16 Just typing it on my notes.

10:17 in my head, he's writing it.

10:18 He grabbed that pen on the notepad and he just started writing.

10:21 When you were saying it, I pictured like a feather.

10:31 But that also put me, I feel like in a great mindset.

10:33 Was just writing the best case scenario of the day because I had plans after.

10:36 My cousin, she's 9 months pregnant, she lives in New York.

10:39 I was already planning on like getting to see her after.

10:40 I'm like looking forward to that and how great it's going to feel once

10:44 I know I kill it and I get to go over and see them.

12:02 Yeah, with like I was watching them like get up and give their speeches

12:05 and seeing how kind of nervous they were kind of reduced my nerves,

12:08 so I'm like, "Oh, I'm not the most frantic person in the room.

12:12 Some people are more worried, and I'm going to make them look better." Yeah,

12:15 that would that would definitely help me if

12:17 I knew everybody around me was nervous, too.

12:18 It It almost like I mean, not in like a negative way, like, "Oh,

12:22 I feel better than every" It's It's this like,

12:24 "We're all doing this together" sort of thing.

12:28 I feel like like you know what would've been nice

12:30 if everybody like got into a group and was just like,

12:32 "You're going to do You're going to do so good today."

12:34 And everyone just like we're like just like a big team Hyping each other up?

12:38 Yes.

12:38 Hyping each other up, and then like when you go up,

12:40 you're the one like you're the loudest when

12:42 you're when they're up there, so they feel good.

12:44 That's like that's what I need, you know?

12:45 If I was doing a big speech,

12:46 I would hope that there was people like really loud and clapping loud for me.

12:53 forward to something that you were excited for after,

12:56 there's something really good about that, too, that makes it easier,
