1:19 Iran is still battling us, fighting us.

1:23 but the Operation Epic Fury is over despite us getting zero concessions.

2:52 for the purpose of regime change and nuclear disarmament.

2:55 We didn't get any of that, but the 60 days ran out,

2:58 so we're now onto a new mission called Project Freedom,

3:02 and the goal of that is to fix the Strait of Hormuz being closed,

3:06 which is the failure of the first mission.

3:07 This can't be serious.

3:09 What the President would prefer is a deal.

3:11 He would prefer to sit down work out a memorandum of understanding for future

3:14 negotiations that touches on all the key topics that have to be addressed,

3:17 a full opening of the straits so the world can get back to normal.

3:20 That he and he preferred that be negotiated through the route that Stephen

3:22 and Jared have been working and that all of us have been supporting.

3:25 That's the route he prefers.

3:27 That is so far not the route that Iran has chosen.

3:29 And so, the result has been that the United

3:31 States has to do something about the fact that we're

3:33 the only nation on earth that can do anything

3:34 to open up a lane within the Straits of Hormuz.

3:37 We are the only nation on earth that caused

3:39 the lane to be closed in the first place.

3:42 That's the route he prefers.

3:44 That is so far not the route that Iran has chosen.

3:46 Also, when he points out that Iran won't even negotiate with us,

3:50 he acts like that's bad for Iran, which you know it's bad for all of us, right?

3:54 But the reason why Iran won't negotiate with us

3:56 is because we don't really have the cards right now.

3:59 We don't have the cards.

4:00 This administration tries to gaslight us and say that we

4:03 have all the cards and they have none, but we don't.

4:06 So here's Pete Hegseth being asked about Iran firing at us.

4:10 Listen, you guys know that I'm not some war hawk.

4:12 I don't want to go to war with Iran,

4:15 but when our commander-in-chief, Donald Trump,

4:18 and then our defense secretary, Pete Hegseth,

4:21 are constantly saying that we've decisively won this war

4:24 and that we are these big we have this big macho military,

4:26 this big macho country, and then I hear that we're just getting shot

4:29 at repeatedly while the ceasefire is not being broken,

4:33 it's humiliating for the United States on the global stage.

4:36 It is absolutely humiliating.

4:38 Just completely withdraw at this point if you're going to allow us

4:40 to get shot at and then say the ceasefire is still there.

4:43 What?

4:44 Last 24 hours or so, Iran fired at us, we fired at Iran.

4:48 I'm just going to ask you more directly, is the ceasefire over?

4:52 No, the ceasefire is not over.

4:55 Ultimately, this is a separate and distinct project and we

4:59 expected there would be some some churn at the beginning, which which happened.

5:04 And we said we would defend and defend aggressively and we absolutely have.

5:07 Iran knows that and ultimately the president's going to make a decision

5:12 whether anything were to escalate into a violation of a ceasefire,

5:15 but certainly we would urge Iran to be prudent

5:19 in the actions that they take to keep that underneath

5:21 So Iran fired at like 10 different ships yesterday.

5:25 They sent a bunch of bullets towards US naval vessels.

5:29 They injured three people from India

5:32 and apparently that's not breaking the ceasefire.

5:36 I mean, Pete Hegseth in this clip says

5:38 the exact same thing that Marco Rubio said.

5:40 He goes, this is a different this is a new project.

5:43 So the ceasefire from Operation Epic Fury is just going to perpetually

5:47 go on, but we've started a new war called Project Freedom.

5:51 Project Freedom and what they say is the operation to open the Strait of Hormuz.

5:55 It's just it's all a huge mess.

5:57 And you know what pisses me off the most

5:59 is that they don't want us to question this war.

6:01 These neo-conservatives, they do not want us to ask questions about this war.

6:05 I was on CNN last night and I gave

6:07 this entire framework about how young people view this war.

6:10 And you know what happened?

6:11 The MAGA on the panel immediately tried to gang up on me

6:14 and attack me and claim that I'm ungrateful for our troops.

6:17 I want you to watch this interaction play out and then we'll

6:20 come back to Donald Trump in the Oval Office scaring kids more.

6:23 But this interaction that I'm about to show you is

6:24 perfectly indicative of the way they don't want us asking questions.

6:29 For my entire life, the United States has been

6:31 at war with some country in the Middle East.

6:33 And young people have constantly been told that this will

6:35 make us safer and make us better off.

6:37 But when we look around at the world today,

6:38 we are less safe and we are worse off.

6:41 Millennials grew up watching all of these headlines

6:43 saying that Iraq had been, you know, defeated.

6:46 That we had taken out Saddam Hussein and we had killed all the bad guys.

6:50 Well, that turned into a grinding counterinsurgency that cost

6:53 us trillion a trillion dollars and it was a catastrophe.

6:56 The same thing happened with Afghanistan.

6:58 And now Gen Z'ers are going through the same thing with Iran.

7:01 We are watching the same people who defended these first

7:03 two failed wars go on television and defend another failed war.

7:08 This war is failing.

7:09 We have not gotten any political concessions and I'm sorry,

7:12 I'm not buying this trust the process line.

7:14 I don't trust the same people who got us into the prior wars,

7:17 amassed trillions of dollars in debts and are

7:20 not putting America first on the global stage.

7:22 So putting aside for just for a moment

7:26 even the politics of this current moment, I mean,

7:29 is it fair for young people to have

7:32 that level of distrust of the people to Adam's

7:36 point who maybe defended the last war

7:38 and were wrong and are defending this war, too?

7:40 Yeah, I don't think so.

7:41 I think honestly, Adam,

7:42 that's immensely ungrateful to American service personnel

7:45 and the people who keep us safe every day.

7:46 After 9/11, it was by no means guaranteed that there would be no

7:49 mass casualty terrorist attack on American soil

7:51 in the immediate aftermath of that attack,

7:53 especially since we had events in Madrid and London, etc.

7:56 Uh and after the attack on Iraq and the elimination of Saddam Hussein's regime,

8:00 we took a terrorist supporting enterprise off the map.

8:04 We don't talk about Iraq anymore as a threat

8:05 to our national security because it isn't.

8:07 And those who would pretend as though Iran is not a national security threat.

8:11 As And And are just frankly dismissive of the extent

8:14 to which American service personnel get up every day

8:17 to stop these people from executing the attacks on American

8:19 and their allies that they plan every single day.

8:22 This is a thorn in our side.

8:23 It absorbs a lot of American taxpayer dollars

8:25 to say nothing of the energy of our service personnel.

8:28 And I just think it's just ungrateful to say

8:30 that these the service personnel are not keeping you safe when they are.

8:33 No, I feel less safe due to the actions of our leaders.

8:36 I'm incredibly grateful for our servicemen.

8:39 I gave a very good faith criticism of this war

8:42 and of the history of these types of wars.

8:44 And I had one person say that I was ungrateful and then

8:46 another invoked the weapons of mass

8:48 destruction that Iran could potentially be developing.

8:50 What I was trying to say is that getting military successes,

8:54 if you want to call them that, doesn't

8:55 always translate to helpful outcomes for the American people.

8:59 We've seen this.

9:00 We killed Saddam Hussein.

9:01 We took out the bad guy.

9:02 It's arguable It's arguable that this war was

9:04 the most just war since World War II.

9:07 Because Iran has killed thousands of Americans.

9:09 Saddam Hussein hadn't killed thousands Americans.

9:11 Afghanistan hadn't either.

9:13 But he ran on no new wars.

9:14 No, I'm saying I'm saying this war was so justified.

9:16 But I'm saying arguably this is he should have ran on it.

9:18 It's a 47-year war, I thought.

9:19 Why didn't he present it to the Congress

9:20 and the American people if it was so justified then?

9:22 Ultimately, he may do that.

10:03 Just like he's saying insanely graphic stuff with kids standing around him.

10:09 said it recently that if Iranian regimes were armed,

10:12 they could take over the regime.

10:14 Do you plan to arm them soon?

10:16 Well, I don't want to say that, but yeah, I I mean, people say,

10:19 "Why aren't they protesting?" They want to protest,

10:21 but they don't have any guts.

10:24 So, you could have 200,000 people protesting

10:27 and have five or six sick people with guns.

10:30 And when they start shooting them right between the eyes,

10:32 and you see a guy fall and another one fall,

10:34 and you have no guns, uh very few people would be able to stand there and do it.

10:40 I mean, I understand I tell them not to.

10:42 Don't forget, they killed 42,000 people last month.

10:46 42,000 unarmed protesters.

10:49 They had no guns.

10:51 So, they had a 250,000 people crowd, and they had snipers.

10:56 They had like four or five snipers in buildings up high.

10:59 And you're standing there, and all of a sudden the guy on your left goes down,

11:03 and somebody That's what happened with the woman protest.

11:05 They had 200,000 women protesting a year ago,

11:10 and everyone thought that was the end of Iran.

11:13 And then all of a sudden, a woman dropped dead with a bullet right there.

11:20 Then another woman dropped, and then the word started to spread.

11:23 Dude, why is he telling the kids this story?

11:26 Look at He's like looking around at the at the children next to him,

11:29 and then talking about how the woman was shot in the forehead.

12:39 They're the largest state exporter of terrorism.

12:42 We have to go to war with them.

12:45 and we get like a small military victory on the field.

12:51 and they or Saddam Hussein, and they say, "That is it.

12:54 We've won." And then it turns into a grinding

12:56 counterinsurgency for decades and decades that cost trillions of dollars.
