1:01 Welcome to the real.
1:05 Now, as you can see, Tamara isn't here.
1:07 She's actually under the weather today.
1:09 Get well soon, Tam.
1:11 However, I am super excited to introduce our guest bro host for the day.
1:16 He's a stand-up comedian and actor you can currently
1:19 see starring in the CBS comedy series Living Biblically.
1:22 What was this?
1:23 Yes.
1:24 Does everyone give it UP FOR US?
1:25 TONY, YES.
1:27 YES.
1:28 HELLO.
1:28 HELLO.
1:28 HELLO.
1:29 Thanks for having me, ladies.
1:32 Y I feel like I snuck into the the hair salon.
1:34 LIKE THIS IS LIKE GUYS DON'T USUALLY COME HERE.
1:37 I just WANT TO GET ALL THE AND YOU'RE SO POLITE BACKSTAGE.
1:40 You was like, I'm just going to follow what you guys do.
1:41 I'm not going to get in your way or nothing.
1:43 You are a part of us today, man.
1:46 Well, this is your first time at the girl chat table as a co-host.
1:49 So, can you keep it real?
1:52 I keep it real ALL THE TIME.
1:54 OKAY.
1:54 OKAY.
1:54 BUT WE ABOUT TO get started.
1:55 We gonna see.
1:57 All right.
1:57 First up, a lot of people believe that in life,
1:59 it's always important to have a backup plan.
2:02 But what about having a backup man?
2:04 A recent survey done by onepole.com revealed
2:07 that half of women in marriages and relationships
2:10 have a plan B man in mind in case their current relationship does work out.
2:15 And get this, the backup man is usually someone they've
2:19 known for years and would drop everything to be with them.
2:23 What do you mean known for years?
2:25 Like your mailman?
2:27 No.
2:27 Like someone that either has like always had a crush on you,
2:30 was always like, "Oh my god, you're so beautiful.
2:32 If I ever could get the chance." Trust me, Genie, you have a bunch of them.
2:35 No, I'm telling you,
2:36 like guys that'll be like either knew
2:38 you from when you were younger, family, friends,
2:41 you know.
2:41 I want to hear what Tony had to say about this.
2:43 I thought it was going TO GO IN ORDER.
2:44 LIKE I GOT TO GO FIRST.
2:46 THEY DON'T ORDER.
2:47 LISTEN, EVERY WOMAN EVERY woman has a backup man whether they know IT OR NOT.
2:53 OH,
2:52 IT'S LIKE AT AT WORK they call him the work husband.
2:55 He's the backup man, right?
2:56 He's the guy that knows you just like your husband does.
2:58 He's very flirtatious with you.
2:59 He's respectful.
3:01 But if something happens and husband can't can't keep up his duties,
3:06 you really believe that.
3:07 He's ready to slide in like, "So you okay?
3:08 You all right?" Those you like your husband biblically?
3:13 I'm actually on board now because what you just said whether you know it or not.
3:17 So whether my intentions or not are there to hit up the backup plan,
3:21 the backup man is already sitting there waiting for the phone.
3:24 Listen, there's a guy that loves all
3:25 three of y'all in the background just waiting.
3:27 He's he's your friend.
3:28 He's Hey, how you doing every day?
3:30 And I think I think what they're talking about though is that the woman knows
3:34 that there is a guy that she always has on in the back side.
3:39 IT'S LIKE HAVING ONE ON THE SIDE.
3:40 THAT'S WHAT THEY CALL.
3:41 I have a friend that was with a young lady for years.
3:45 Is this friend you?
3:45 No.
3:45 No.
3:46 No.
3:46 Not me.
3:46 No.
3:46 No.
3:47 No.
3:47 No.
3:47 No.
3:47 Not me.
3:48 Not me.
3:48 He broke up with this girl.
3:49 They broke up and within 3 months she was married.
3:54 Right.
3:53 So that guy was there the whole time.
3:55 Right.
3:55 Right.
3:55 That was a backup.
3:56 That was her backup plan.
3:57 Look at me.
3:58 That's interesting.
3:59 I Come on, girl.
4:01 I think that every man Sorry,
4:04 that every woman I always think it's usually their ex.
4:09 Yeah.
4:09 Well, that's usually the backup man.
4:11 If there was that a yes or a no.
4:14 Oh, I just heard
4:17 I'm like, wait.
4:18 Okay, I'm going to tell you why.
4:20 I I I obviously don't have one currently in my marriage
4:22 cuz I think you shouldn't have that when you're married.
4:24 I get having when you have a boyfriend.
4:26 When you're married,
4:27 like that man should be your A B CDE E FG plan cuz you want to make that work.
4:32 L you don't want your marriage not to work.
4:35 Yes.
4:35 But I think when I had a boyfriend,
4:38 I always thought it was like the ex
4:39 that always was still trying to get back with me.
4:42 And then usually when the woman breaks up with the ex, usually she's done.
4:45 When a woman breaks up with you, she out.
4:47 That's what I'm saying.
4:48 But it's NICE TO KNOW THAT THEY STILL wanted you and that if
4:51 you wanted and usually the reason why it was my backup plan,
4:55 this is terrible people, is because it's usually the person that would
4:58 hurt that next that current guy's FEELINGS THE MOST.
5:02 GET back man.
5:03 He'll be the get back.
5:04 the one that usually he's most insecure about.
5:06 Like most men are most insecure about like your ex.
5:10 Yeah.
5:09 And then if you if that guy either dumps you, you have the backup plan.
5:13 Get back with your ex.
5:14 And then he's like, I knew y'all was in love and talking this whole time.
5:18 Yeah.
5:18 And I'll be like, yep.
5:19 I kind of agree more with Tony.
5:20 This is usually a man that you haven't had sex with.
5:23 It's usually a man that's really your friend.
5:25 Y'all could go out to dinner and stuff like that.
5:28 Yeah.
5:29 Tony, ARE YOU BACKUP PLANS?
5:30 HOW MANY WOMEN?
5:31 OH, I'M BACK UP TO NOBODY.
5:32 I'M STARTING.
5:33 I'M STARTING THAT.
5:35 You have to wait.
5:36 I'm not coming off the bench,
5:38 right?
5:39 No, I get that.
5:40 I think for men though, I think that they have a backup plan,
5:43 but they call them side chicks.
5:45 That's what I THINK.
5:46 YOU OH, YEAH.
5:47 LOOK, the audience agree.
5:48 Yes.
5:49 Okay.
5:49 Okay.
5:49 Okay.
5:49 But what kind of backup plan is that?
5:51 Like, if we have to be realistic, that never really works.
5:54 It's weird to me that the survey said I I think the guy that go
5:58 that has the relationship and has a side
6:00 chick has never been fully committed to the relationship.
6:02 That's what I was going to say.
6:04 I was just going to say that if you have a backup person,
6:07 there is no way that you can be fully invested in the person
6:11 that you're with because you're always thinking about that escape route.
6:14 You're always think you got something else behind you.
6:15 So more than 50% of women are that doesn't sound right, sisters.
6:20 We got to do better than that.
6:21 We don't owe we don't we owe ourselves the best.
6:23 So we got to give ourselves the best.
6:25 I DON'T HAVE PROBLEM.
6:26 I THINK you should protect yourself as a woman.
6:28 No, I think the reason why a lot of these women have
6:31 a plan B is because they're not being treated right in their relationship.
6:35 So, they didn't say that they weren't being treated right.
6:37 No, but she's saying I'm guessing she's saying we have to do better as women.
6:41 Yes, I agree.
6:41 We have to do better as women.
6:42 You shouldn't be doing this.
6:43 Obviously, we're having a real conversation, not a moral conversation.
6:47 I like how y'all clap at everything.
6:48 She make a point.
6:48 Yeah, that's a good one.
6:49 Oh, she right, too.
6:52 Different people.
6:53 Different ones.
6:54 Like they was like, "Not for me." But Tony, do you want some claps?
6:58 That's what it is.
6:59 I know.
6:59 I got some.
7:02 Thank you.
7:03 Thank you.
7:04 I'm sorry.
7:05 Do you get what I'm saying though?
7:07 Like a lot of the time if a woman's looking for a plan B,
7:09 it's probably because one,
7:10 she's not sure about plan A or or she's protecting herself like Lonnie said,
7:15 where like this isn't moving right or like I don't
7:18 know if he's going to ask me to marry him.
7:19 I don't know if he's cheating on me himself.
7:21 So just in case he's doing something,
7:23 I low-key want to make sure I'm good over here, too.
7:25 I always say if you're not married, multi- date.
7:27 So that's why I kind of agree with
7:29 How do you get to marriage if you're multi-dating?
7:31 No, you should multi.
7:33 Yeah, you can.
7:34 It's the strongest survive.
7:36 The one that likes LIKE YOU KNOW it's like
7:40 you know it's like it's like being on the Bachelor.
7:42 It's like 30 women and you just dating them
7:44 all and then you go this one's the best one.
7:46 29 get out of here.
7:46 I'm going to go with this one.
7:47 This is true.
7:48 And I think with multi-dating,
7:49 I don't know if you roll like this, Lonnie, but when I date,
7:52 I actually do want to let everybody know
7:54 that I'm out there and I'm just having fun.
7:56 So that you do you, too, because I don't want to get caught slipping
7:58 and I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings when
8:00 I look like I had several backup plans
8:02 and I'm making you feel like you're the one.
8:04 And I actually think, and tell me if I'm wrong, Tony,
8:06 that makes a man want to be with you even more.
8:08 I would think that that would cuz men love the chase.
8:12 You agree?
8:12 Like if you knew she's just out here just you're going to go so
8:15 hard cuz in your mind you don't know what the other dudes are doing.
8:18 So you're like yo how can I outdo all
8:20 these dudes but she never wants to multi again.
8:22 Do you think that's true?
8:23 I agree with that.
8:24 Great claps.
8:25 Hold up.
8:28 Hold for a clap.
8:28 Okay.
8:29 I I agree with that.
8:30 But it works for for women also.
8:32 Sometimes you tell a girl like I just want to date casually.
8:34 Let's just have fun.
8:35 And then they'll they'll they say they're okay with it.
8:37 They say they're okay with it.
8:39 And then once you really, you know,
8:41 start going AND PUT IT DOWN LIKE YOU SUPPOSED
8:43 TO PUT IT DOWN LIKE WHO IS THIS CHICK?
8:46 WHY DO YOU GOT TO BE WITH HER?
8:47 WHO THE
8:48 it's like you thought you YOU WAS COOL WITH IT IN the beginning.
8:51 Yeah.
8:50 How do THEY DO YOU?
8:51 HOW HOW DO THEY SAY IT?
8:52 DO IT.
8:53 FIRST OF ALL, you be running around.
8:56 But breathe.
8:57 All right.
8:57 Well, speaking of having a plan B, a lot of couples try to spice up
9:01 their sex life by bringing another person into the bedroom.
9:06 That's right.
9:06 We're about to go there.
9:07 BUT OH, NO.
9:08 NO CLAPS FOR THAT.
9:09 NO CLAPS FOR THAT.
9:10 BECAUSE THEY FEELING THEMSELVES FOR a second.
9:11 But how do you bring up that conversation with your boo?
9:14 Well, a recent article on brides.com has some suggestions.
9:19 They suggest being So, we're talking about threesomes now.
9:21 All right, people.
9:22 They suggest that you got to be open and honest about your sexual fantasies.
9:27 Maybe watching some threesome porn together to see if it turns them on.
9:31 You know, watch them low.
9:32 Hey, here I out.
9:33 Here I out.
9:34 Okay.
9:34 And lastly, having a heart-to-heart about each other's sexual boundaries.
9:39 Oh my goodness.
9:41 Tony, how would you approach this conversation?
9:45 Okay, speaking from the male perspective, yes, as a man, men in the room,
9:49 you have to this what you got to do.
9:52 You have to let the women feel like they're leading you into that.
9:56 You can't be the guy that's like suggesting it cuz
9:59 there's nothing more awkward than saying to two girls like,
10:00 "Hey, how?" And they're like, "What?" You're like,
10:02 "Well, I didn't mean it like that.
10:04 I just meant to say y'all we all cool, right?
10:06 THEY'RE LIKE THAT WHOLE TOP ROW RIGHT THERE.
10:08 LOOK AT THAT TOP ROW.
10:09 THEY ARE LIKE, "NO, I'M NOT.
10:11 Don't try me." Wait, no, no, no.
10:14 He's on to something.
10:15 Cuz guess what, ladies?
10:16 He's right.
10:17 If you were to do this because if anything,
10:19 if anything goes wrong or if you start feeling certain
10:22 way or you want to back out or you get jealous,
10:24 at the end of the day, who comes to blame?
10:26 You.
10:27 It was your idea.
10:28 It was your idea, right?
10:29 So, you have to let him let the women feel like they're leading you into it.
10:32 Yeah.
10:32 WHO CAME UP WITH THIS TOPIC?
10:33 THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW.
10:36 CUZ OBVIOUSLY OUR AUDIENCE, THE STUDIO audience is not feeling THE THREESOME.
10:41 WAIT, LIKE LITERALLY.
10:42 HELL NO.
10:43 THEY SAYING THEY NOT FEELING THE THREESOME.
10:45 THANK YOU.
10:45 THEY'RE ON TELEVISION.
10:46 Of course they're going to say that.
10:47 There's my sister right there.
10:49 She got two thumbs up.
10:50 THERE YOU GO.
10:50 THERE YOU GO.
10:51 Come on.
10:51 Let them know you down.
10:52 No.
10:53 I I hear you.
10:54 This is a very this is a very dangerous te ter territory for many
10:58 couples because most people can't handle
11:01 what's about to happen when emotions flow.
11:04 Well, first of all, in my opinion,
11:05 I think a threesome should be done if you're in a relationship, not a marriage.
11:09 I I that for me, I feel like you made vows,
11:13 y'all going to be together, y'all stuck with each other.
11:16 That's it.
11:16 That's how I feel.
11:17 Now, if you're in a relationship,
11:19 then maybe because that's when you're supposed to, you know,
11:22 experiment anyway when you're not married.
11:24 I don't Yeah.
11:26 Okay.
11:26 Anybody?
11:27 SOME PEOPLE, SOME PEOPLE MIGHT SAY TO YOU
11:29 THAT THAT COULD FEEL like a punishment to a married.
11:32 Some people could say that why is it that the guy got to have more fun
11:37 when he was single when technically the time
11:39 of your life should be with your wife?
11:41 Some could say that,
11:42 right?
11:42 But that's depends why guys say they don't want
11:44 to get married because of the ball and chain, right?
11:47 Well, I'm Listen, I'm not sharing my girl with nobody really.
11:51 Okay.
11:51 Not even another girl.
11:54 Really?
11:54 I'm selfish like that.
11:55 But if I'm single, if I'm single and I'm playing
11:57 the field and I'm messing with this girl and she's like,
12:00 "Hey, my friend kind of said you was cute, too,
12:01 and she going to put it together." Go right ahead.
12:03 What if your wife wanted that?
12:05 If my wife wanted it, what if you wanted it?
12:10 What if I Okay, this is the thing.
12:12 I think the man has to be receptive to that sort of thing.
12:15 And if your man's not into it, Would you ask?
12:18 I wouldn't ask cuz mine, you know what I mean?
12:20 LIKE IF YOUR MAN'S NOT INTO
12:22 IF YOUR MAN'S NOT into that thing, you would know that.
12:24 I think by the time you mar IF WE'RE TALKING IS NOT INTO THAT.
12:27 NO.
12:28 LIKE IF if I was to approach
12:31 I'm messing with her.
12:32 No, I know.
12:32 I know.
12:33 But like my thing was by the time you marry somebody,
12:36 don't you know these things?
12:37 Like if he's going to be down for that or if he's not going to be you know.
12:41 So let's
12:42 DON'T MARRY NOBODY THAT YOU DON'T KNOW IF they're into that or not.
12:44 Just just pretend that you're not married, right?
12:47 And you in a relationship and you need a threesome.
12:51 SO YOU WANT A THREESOME.
12:53 IF YOU'RE MARRIED, you could just force it on them.
12:55 If a man walks in a room and the situation's set up, he he might be receptive.
13:00 No, no, no, no.
13:01 I don't think I think some of them would tell you
13:03 that they not into it because they want to be like,
13:06 "Baby, I only want you.
13:07 You're the only thing I look at." And if
13:09 the opportunity was there for them, they might take it.
13:11 They might.
13:12 But I think at the end of the day, the mo and most important thing if you do get
13:15 into that is you got to set some ground rules.
13:18 You know WHAT I'M SAYING?
13:19 LIKE WHAT WOULD BE THE GROUND RULES?
13:21 WHAT WERE THE GROUND RULES?
13:21 WHAT'S THE RULES?
13:22 I think the rules I it depends on the couple.
13:24 But I think some of them have to be like is she uglier than me?
13:27 Is that it?
13:28 Right.
13:28 Yes.
13:29 Come on.
13:30 You got to set some rules.
13:31 Like it depends on your level of security.
13:33 I don't think it should be a person you know.
13:34 It should be a person that you don't know.
13:36 It should be like A STRANGER.
13:38 YOU WANT TO YOU WANT TO TOUCH YOUR FRIENDS THAT WAY?
13:43 I DON'T KNOW.
13:44 I DON'T KNOW.
13:44 SOME PEOPLE might feel more comfortable if
13:46 it's like their home girl that THEY KNOW.
13:49 WE JUST I'M JUST LETTING YOU KNOW SOME PEOPLE MIGHT FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE.
13:53 I AM IN THE HAIR SALON.
13:54 I DON'T KNOW HOW
13:56 YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING.
13:57 LIKE I DON'T I don't know how random chick number X washes up.
14:01 You know what I'm saying?
14:02 What about like on vacations?
14:04 There are people that meet people in other countries
14:07 that you know you're never going to see them again.
14:09 Yes.
14:09 Yeah.
14:09 The less English they speak, the better.
14:12 You know THAT THAT RELATIONSHIP
14:14 KNOW A LOT ABOUT IT, DON'T YOU, G?
14:15 I'M JUST I JUST NO, NO,
14:19 NO, NO, NO.
14:20 HEY, don't throw me under like that.
14:25 No.
14:25 I'm just saying obviously I think every single person has thought about this.
14:28 Whether you shut it down cold turkey or not, you've thought about it.
14:31 And even when you do, you know what your constraints are.
14:33 You know what boundaries you have to have.
14:35 And I think that it is dangerous.
14:37 I think you're asking to break up if if it happens.
14:39 WELL, IF A GIRL CAN HAPPEN IF A GIRL HAS a threesome, right?
14:43 Should she have it with a girl or a boy?
14:47 A girl.
14:47 NO.
14:48 WELL, HOLD ON.
14:49 WELL, TONY, speaking from the male perspective.
14:53 Okay.
14:53 A man and two women is a is a beautiful threesome.
14:58 Yeah.
14:57 Two men and a woman, two men and a woman is called the devil's threesome.
15:02 Really?
15:03 Yeah.
15:04 Why?
15:03 That's what we call it, the devil's threesome.
15:05 Cuz it's not cool.
15:06 I'm pretty sure the devil I'm pretty sure
15:08 the devil was involved in both types of threesomes.
15:10 I don't think God wanted anything to do with that.
15:13 But listen, I agree.
15:15 I agree.
15:16 Ding ding ding.
15:17 I agree what you said earlier.
15:18 It's like if you get to this point where you're discussing threesomes,
15:21 you should you should have all of this outfit open before you get
15:24 I just think at the end of the day, one eggplant is perfect for the party.
15:27 Move on.
15:27 Boom.
15:28 We have to take A BREAK, BUT THERE'S MORE GIRL CHAT on the way
15:31 right AFTER THIS WITH OUR GUEST bro Tony Rock.
15:33 Don't go anywhere.
15:34 You're watching the real.
15:35 It just got real.
15:44 Welcome back to the real tam's out sick today,
15:46 but filling in is our guest bro host Tony Rock is in the house.
15:53 All right, let's get back to more girls.
15:54 Let's go.
15:54 Let's go.
15:55 Now, we've all been there.
15:56 You're scrolling through the gram and boom,
15:58 all of a sudden your pictures won't load because the Wi-Fi goes down.
16:03 Oh no, this is a scary moment, folks.
16:05 What are you supposed to do?
16:07 Well, the latest Twitter hashtag challenge,
16:09 when the Wi-Fi goes down, has all the answers.
16:12 User at hepatitis A to Z.
16:15 Nice name.
16:16 Come on, people.
16:18 Said, I have to call everyone and have them describe what they ate
16:21 and to tell them to tell me
16:23 inspiring words because you don't see pictures anymore.
16:25 So now you got to explain the food that you take pictures of.
16:28 And at Craig Flynn one said, "I get mad at my neighbor for not paying his bill."
16:35 Wow.
16:34 So when the Wi-Fi goes down, do you signal for help?
16:38 What do you do?
16:39 First of all, why is his name hepatitis A TO Z?
16:43 OKAY.
16:43 HE GOT ALL OF THEM.
16:44 HE GOT BIGGER PROBLEMS THAN THE WI-FI GOING DOWN.
16:46 HEPATITIS A to Z, dude.
16:48 But I'm not I'm not like I'm not on my phone that much.
16:51 You're not addicted to your phone?
16:52 Yeah, I'm not addict.
16:52 I come home, phone, I throw it on the couch and I forget about it.
16:55 I I live in real life.
16:56 If I don't live on really good.
16:58 That's really dope.
16:58 Really good.
16:59 Yeah.
17:01 Wi-Fi goes down.
17:01 I wouldn't even know until somebody said something.
17:03 It could be annoying, but I'm old enough to remember when I didn't have Wi-Fi.
17:08 So, I know that there's called reading and there's going out and there's going
17:12 to dinner and talking to friends and having a good time and living your life.
17:16 So, that's what I do.
17:17 Yes.
17:18 What a concept.
17:19 Yeah.
17:19 I mean, wow.
17:20 You know,
17:21 I think that when you don't have Wi-Fi, when you have it,
17:24 it's convenient to you, so you're always up on it.
17:26 You It's too It's too easily readable, available,
17:29 but when it's gone, that's when you remember.
17:31 Like, I actually missed the days on the airplanes when there was no Wi-Fi.
17:34 Because then you caught up on everything that you love to do.
17:36 You don't like that?
17:37 Why is your face scared, Adrian?
17:38 Nah, I'm not going to make it on the airplane without the Wi-Fi, though.
17:41 But I loved it.
17:42 My mom be sending me messages back and forth.
17:45 Mommy, you're going to be fine.
17:46 Jesus is with you.
17:47 Like, I need that.
17:48 She's peptalking me all the six hours back from New York to here.
17:51 So, I do need Wi-Fi on the plane, but you guys know my house has no service.
17:56 If you don't come into my house,
17:58 walk in and connect to the Wi-Fi, it's a black hole.
18:00 Like, you will not get a phone call, nothing.
18:03 So, when the Wi-Fi is out,
18:04 I just get to explain to everybody why I didn't answer your call,
18:06 why I didn't respond to you, why I'm not You use that as an excuse 100%.
18:10 Another another excuse for women to use for why they didn't call you back.
18:14 Exactly.
18:14 My Wi-Fi was out and you know, my house is a black hole.
18:17 Okay.
18:17 What?
18:18 You know what?
18:18 But what was the oldfashioned way?
18:20 Cuz on my computer, I think I I still have a landline so I can plug up.
18:24 Do you still have a landline?
18:25 And I have a old computer and I have a dial up.
18:28 I still HAVE
18:28 I LITERALLY BUT I'M an engineer.
18:30 I keep my stuff.
18:31 I have my electronics.
18:32 Yeah.
18:33 So
18:33 it's actually safer.
18:34 You should have a landline just in case anything happens.
18:36 Ain't that going to happen to me, baby?
18:40 Crazy thing is I actually don't have a landline in my house cuz
18:44 even now when you get the packages with cable and all of that.
18:47 They make everything go through Wi-Fi.
18:49 So if my Wi-Fi goes down, I have no phone.
18:51 Why am I telling everybody all my business?
18:53 I'M GOING HAVE NO PHONE.
18:55 I HAVE NOTHING.
18:56 Do you have a car?
18:57 You can walk.
18:59 Adrian ain't driving no.
19:00 Yeah, I have a landline.
19:00 I have a home phone.
19:01 I have a landline for when I order food to the house or if I call a Uber cuz,
19:05 you know, I can't put I can't put Tony Rock on the Uber.
19:07 Then they're like, "We know where you're picking up from.
19:08 We know where where he lives." You still have data and roaming.
19:11 But even my phone, like my house phone
19:14 is connected to the Wi-Fi that's connected to my
19:18 No, mine is I I have this one.
19:20 I have this phone.
19:20 Shut up.
19:22 I have this phone.
19:22 Like click click.
19:23 I have the piece you hold to your ear.
19:25 No way.
19:25 Yeah.
19:25 Yeah.
19:26 See, we we Yeah, we old school.
19:28 We not going to be down.
19:30 Y'all ain't going to be able to communicate, but we will.
19:32 Old school.
19:33 Yes.
19:33 Do what you got to do.
19:34 We got to take a break right now,
19:35 but don't go anywhere because there's so much more girl chat right after this.
19:38 You are watching the real.
19:50 Welcome back.
19:50 It's getting juicy over here.
19:52 Tam is feeling a little under the weather today,
19:53 but she'll be back with us very, very soon.
19:55 Let's get right back into some more.
20:02 You know what that SOUND MEANS?
20:03 OH MY GOD.

20:34 NOW I HEAR THAT YOU are in college.
20:37 So what are you studying?
20:38 Yes, I'm studying child and youth studies and my goal
20:42 is to then become a life coach and work
20:44 with children and youth who uh were exposed
20:47 to trauma and just hard times when THEY WERE YOUNGER.
20:52 THANK you so much for doing that with that.
20:55 Well, I HAVE TO ASK YOU, YOU PRETTY SMART.
20:57 Are you are you fluent in a emoji?
21:00 Yes, I am.
21:03 OKAY.
21:03 YES.
21:03 I LOVE HER.
21:04 She's got some flavor already.
21:05 We're going to put your emojes to the test.
21:07 So Adrienne has three paddles.
21:09 Okay.
21:10 Each one has a classic emoji on it.
21:12 But Aid doesn't know which emoji.
21:14 She's going to hold her paddle up.
21:15 Then you have to act out the emoji to the best of your ability.
21:19 She's going to guess which emoji it is.
21:20 And for each one you get right, you and Jackson are going HOME WITH $100.
21:24 EACH ONE FOR EACH ONE.
21:27 LOOK AT JACK.
21:28 JACK WON.
21:28 JACKSON $100.
21:30 I LOVE IT.
21:30 Here we go.
21:31 Ready?
21:31 Okay.
21:32 Hold up your first pedal.
21:35 Um, smiling really hard.
21:37 Big smile.
21:38 That's it.
21:39 Okay.
21:39 Okay.
21:41 All right.
21:41 Second paddle.
21:44 Kissy face.
21:45 Kissy face.
21:46 Blowing a kiss.
21:47 All right.
21:47 YOU GOT $200.
21:49 STAY ON IT.
21:50 LET'S SEE the third one.
21:51 Third paddle.
21:54 Oh, girl.
21:55 Mean mean face.
21:56 Angry face.
21:58 THAT'S IT.
21:59 YES.
22:00 THREE FOR THREE, GIRL.
22:01 That means you've GOT $300 IN YOUR POCKET.
22:04 YES.
22:05 I LOVE IT.
22:07 HOW OLD IS JACKSON?
22:09 UM, HE'S 20 MONTHS.
22:11 20 MONTHS.
22:12 CAN HE SAY Does he talk it?
22:14 Can he say hi?
22:14 Can he wave?
22:16 He talks nonstop.
22:17 Say hi.
22:19 Say hi.
22:20 Oh my god.
22:23 Dead.
22:24 Hi, boooo.
22:25 Jackson, I love you.
22:27 JACKSON IS THE CUTEST thing I've ever seen.
22:29 Many times I know I'm not supposed to eat with my mouth.
22:32 TALK WITH MY MOUTH.
22:34 I LOVE YOU LADIES.
22:35 YOU'RE ALL SO BEAUTIFUL.
22:36 SO INSPIRATIONAL.
22:38 THANK YOU.
22:38 THANK YOU.
22:39 Thank you.
22:42 We love you.
22:43 Thank you for playing with us, Joe.
22:44 We are going to be back with more of the real right after this.
22:47 Spy Jack.
22:57 Welcome back.
22:58 Tamar's out sick today.
22:59 Get well soon, Tam Tam.
23:01 Now, spring is around the corner and it's
23:02 about time to step out and enjoy the weather.
23:05 Invite your friends over because we're going to show
23:07 you how to throw an outdoor party on a dime.
23:10 This backyard boogie on a budget.
23:17 AND JOINING US TODAY TO MAKE sure your party is a hit is a mother,
23:20 author, AND LIFESTYLE EXPERT, MISS JAZZ MULLET.
23:24 HEY, I AM SO GLAD YOU are here, girls.
23:29 Now, you have set up this lovely backyard shindig for us today.
23:33 So, what is your first tip?
23:35 Okay, so first off, you want to get yourself a long table.
23:38 Okay, it's very communal.
23:39 It lets everyone be able to sit together, eat together, and talk.
23:42 And that's what makes dinner parties great, right?
23:44 And you can get a long table at any
23:46 party supply rental store for LIKE UNDER $10.
23:50 WOW.
23:51 AND THEN ON TOP OF THAT, you want to go to any
23:53 fabric store and just pick out the style of fabric that you love.
23:56 For here, our spring theme,
23:57 we got a floral pattern and have them just cut it the size of your table.
24:01 And you don't have to sew either.
24:03 So, you can hem this with fabric.
24:06 Yeah.
24:06 If you don't sew.
24:08 Yeah.
24:09 Oh, wow.
24:09 I love this.
24:10 Well, this table obviously looks absolutely beautiful.
24:12 So, Jazz, tell us about the place settings.
24:15 So, the place settings, that's like the funnest part to me.
24:17 Okay.
24:18 Cuz you get to go to thrift stores
24:20 or um garage sales and find these beautiful floral plates.
24:25 They do not have to match.
24:26 You can do mix and match plates.
24:28 Um you can find these at most thrift stores for like under a dollar.
24:32 Wow.
24:32 Yeah.
24:32 It's a great deal.
24:33 Beautiful.
24:34 Yeah.
24:34 You you want to go off the beaten path though with thrift shops.
24:36 That's the thing about thrifting so that you can get things
24:39 that are less picked over and so you get them for cheaper.
24:41 I love the idea that they're all completely different.
24:43 They don't have to That's awesome.
24:46 All right.
24:46 So tell us what you did for seating.
24:48 So for seating you can also again thrift shops or you can do estate sales.
24:53 You can do garage sales or what have you
24:55 and just get a bunch of mix match chairs.
24:58 Um they can be old chairs and then you're
25:00 just going to make them new with some spray paint.
25:02 You do all different colors for your spring theme.
25:04 So cute.
25:05 I even love how that one was done where it's half and half.
25:08 I love that.
25:09 Yeah, that's actually to show you well the before and after.
25:13 I actually got a before.
25:15 Okay.
25:15 Yeah.
25:15 I mean YOU COULD DO THAT LIKE it's like whatever floats your I like it.
25:21 Hey.
25:22 Okay.
25:22 Now, these are awesome tips, but what can we do for the centerpiece?
25:25 I noticed you have something gorgeous here.
25:27 So, yes, I'm glad you asked about that because since it's spring,
25:30 spring is all about renewal and abundance.
25:33 And fruit and flowers really symbolize abundance.
25:35 You want it overflowing with fruits that are in season.
25:38 So, you have berries, grapefruits, lemons, apricots, you know,
25:41 you can even put some flowers and some herbs in there if you want.
25:45 And then on top of that, you can put some
25:47 flowers onto your napkin and use it like a napkin ring.
25:51 You tie some twine around it and stick little flowers in there.
25:54 And what exactly is this in?
25:55 Cuz this is so pretty here, too.
25:57 Yes.
25:57 Thank you for asking.
25:58 So, that's a hat box.
26:00 Oh, again, a thrift shop.
26:01 So creative.
26:02 Yeah, you can use a hat box.
26:03 That's genius.
26:04 You're so beautiful.
26:05 Thank you.
26:06 I'm so These are Lonnie.
26:08 Can you wait for us to be done with our second?
26:10 You didn't say grace.
26:11 I did.
26:12 These are awesome tips, Jazz.
26:13 But now, we all know that you can't have a party without bomb food.
26:17 So, tell us about that.
26:18 That Lonnie's already started eating.
26:20 Enjoy.
26:20 Enjoy.
26:21 Yeah, of course you want to have a variety
26:23 of different food to keep your guests happy cuz that's,
26:26 you know, that's a major part of a dinner party.
26:28 Obviously, my favorite part is to have a beautiful cake.
26:32 So, I brought for you guys to try my vanilla rose
26:35 pound cake and it has um a little rose water in it.
26:38 So, it gives a hint of a floral note.
26:40 Perfect for spring celebrating.
26:43 Sorry, girl.
26:45 Try it.
26:45 Me, too.
26:45 Me, too.
26:46 Thanks, Jazz.
26:50 YEAH, WE are Oh my gosh, this is delicious.
26:52 I'm going to take a look.
26:53 I love anything that has rose in it.
26:54 So good.
26:55 We are ready TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED.
26:58 THIS is hella good.
27:00 So good.
27:01 Jazz, thank you so much for stopping by and giving
27:03 us these awesome tips and this amazing pound cake.
27:06 If you want the recipe on her vanilla rose pound cake,
27:09 head on over to the real.com.
27:10 You can also find this recipe and more in Jazz's
27:13 and her siblings new cookbook titled The Family Table.
27:17 It's coming out in April.
27:19 I can't wait to see that.
27:20 We have to take a quick break, but don't move.
27:21 We're coming right back for the real.
27:23 I'll be eating this.
27:33 Welcome back.
27:34 Tamara is out sick today, so we are sending you so much love.
27:37 Tam, feel better.
27:38 Now you know our next guest as one
27:39 of the stars in the heartfelt series Touched by an Angel.
27:42 Now she's inspiring others in her new book, Box of Butterflies.
27:46 Please welcome the wonderful Roma Downey.
28:04 How are you?
28:14 Welcome to the show.
28:15 Baby, can we talk about those boots you HAVE ON THAT ARE SO FUN?
28:18 LOOK AT YOU.
28:20 MY husband picked these out for me.
28:21 Aren't they crazy?
28:23 Love.
28:24 Great tape.
28:24 You don't always get a chance to wear your star boots
28:29 on your show.
28:29 I thought they love it.
28:31 Love it.
28:32 Well, first off, we have to say how sorry
28:34 we are when we heard about the passing of Delarice.
28:37 I know that she was like a mother to you.
28:38 We all loved her so much at the show.
28:42 Yes.
28:41 Loved her so much.
28:43 Yeah, she actually wrote the forward to your new book.
28:46 So, what do you want people to know about her?
28:48 Gosh, she was just an amazing an amazing woman.
28:53 She really was my mother.
28:54 She God brought us together.
28:56 Of that, I am certain.
28:58 And the relationship, if any of you so touched by an angel,
29:01 THE RELATIONSHIP ON touched by an angel,
29:06 the relationship that we had on the screen
29:09 together was reflected very much in our relationship offscreen.
29:13 And when she would get called to the set, um, they would have to give her like
29:17 a 15minute warning because she hugged everybody.
29:22 She came in and she hugged everybody.
29:23 It didn't matter.
29:25 I love that.
29:25 It didn't matter if you were the janitor or if you were the star, the director.
29:30 She stopped and she saw God in everybody and she
29:33 put their arms around them and she held them close.
29:35 Wow.
29:36 She's an extraordinary woman.
29:37 Extraordinary.
29:38 Thank you for that.
29:39 So sweet.
29:41 I don't know if you know that's that's all old black women.
29:44 THEY DO THAT.
29:46 Every old BLACK WOMAN.
29:47 BABY, COME HERE.
29:48 Come here, baby.
29:49 I love it.
29:49 It's so nice though.
29:50 You know, I remember when I first met
29:52 her, and I'm originally from Ireland, and you know,
29:54 I can remember my parents still teaching me to stick my hand out,
29:58 you know, to shake my hands and be polite.
30:00 And I remember when I the day I first met her, I
30:02 did that and she just took me in her arms and and gave me a giant hug.
30:08 Now, when she first met my husband,
30:11 she took him in her arms and I just thought they were hugging.
30:14 She was whispering in his ear.
30:16 She said to him, "That's my baby girl.
30:19 And if you hurt her, I will HAVE YOU KILLED.
30:23 THAT'S RIGHT.
30:24 ALL DAY, VALERIE.
30:26 All day.
30:26 I love it.
30:29 Awesome.
30:29 Now, you said you said that you
30:30 feel God's presence whenever you're near butterflies.
30:32 Was it What is it about butterflies to me?
30:34 Yeah.
30:34 When my my mom my my mom died when I was just a little girl
30:38 and my father took me up to the cemetery and I brought a bunch of pansies.
30:42 She loved pansies.
30:43 She always said they looked like little butterflies.
30:45 And when I put them on her grave, a real butterfly flew by.
30:49 And my dad said, "Would you look at that wee butterfly?
30:52 That could be the spirit of your mother
30:54 right there." And so all through my life,
30:56 butterflies have just shown up, you know, and not just in gardens.
31:01 Obviously, we live in California.
31:02 There are a lot of butterflies,
31:03 but I'm talking about maybe a tattoo on somebody's wrist or a piece of jewelry
31:08 or and they've always shown up at times when I've needed them the most,
31:12 when I've needed a little bit of encouragement.
31:14 And and I love the symbolism of the butterfly, you know,
31:18 because you could be a caterpillar one
31:20 day not knowing that just around the corner is your wings.
31:25 Just let them go.
31:26 Let them know.
31:27 Let them know.
31:29 The title of your book is box of butterflies.
31:31 I understand butterflies.
31:32 So why the box?
31:33 Well, the box almost like as if the box
31:36 is your life and the butterflies are the blessings.
31:39 And one year, my giftgiving husband, he who gave me the boots,
31:43 um he took me out for Valentine's Day out onto our garden,
31:47 and he handed me a box.
31:48 It was super light.
31:49 And you know how you want to shake a gift?
31:51 Sometimes you're like, "I wonder what this is." And he was like, "No, no, no.
31:55 Don't don't shake it." And we went out into the garden
31:57 and I took the lid off the box and out flew,
32:01 you know, maybe 20 little butterflies.
32:04 was so romantic and beautiful.
32:08 And I had been writing this book at the time
32:10 and I thought this is the perfect title,
32:14 Box of Butterflies, because I really believe
32:16 that sometimes the obstacle shows up in your life.
32:19 You don't know it's an opportunity.
32:22 And I really wanted to remind people through this book that, you know,
32:26 that we can either be the victims of our life
32:28 or we can be the victors of our life.
32:31 all day.
32:33 And so that's what Box of Butterflies is about.
32:36 With the grace of God, we can, you know,
32:39 get wings and we can fly and fly to our dreams.
32:42 Well, you know, someone else that flies is your husband, Mark Bernett.
32:46 I mean, he is the creator of so many great u Survivor, The Voice.
32:54 I mean, oh my goodness.
32:57 Are you too competitive?
32:58 My favorite.
32:59 Well, no, I'm not at all competitive, but my husband could, you know,
33:02 he could race you to the coffee
33:04 machine in the he loves everything's a competition,
33:09 but he, you know, yeah, he is very prolific.
33:12 And would you ever do a show like Survivor, though?
33:15 Oh my goodness.
33:16 We We used to go to the Survivor sets all the time.
33:19 Jeff Pro is one of our dearest friends,
33:22 and we would be down in these extraordinary islands
33:25 that I had never even heard the name of before.
33:28 And you'd look around at all the contestants
33:31 and they're just covered in bites and lumps and insects.
33:35 Insects.
