Why 90% of People Are Too Scared to Chase Their Dreams & How the 10% Achieve Them
Greatness Clips - Lewis Howes
0:00 What do you think so many people lack the courage
0:01 to put themselves out there to actually go for it?
0:05 Because probably only 10% of the world actually goes for exactly
0:10 what they want all the way through to the end.
0:13 And the rest, maybe they go a little bit,
0:15 but then they fall back in the comfort zone like why is it
0:18 so hard for people to be courageous to actually try the new thing,
0:23 go for their dreams?
0:25 I don't know if I know I have an answer for why,
0:28 but what I I'd love to present a little solution
0:31 that it is a muscle that if you pick something,
0:35 maybe this week you pick something that scares you that you've been putting off.
0:38 The thing you should have said yes to a long time ago
0:40 or the thing you should have said no to a long time ago.
0:43 And just do it this week.
0:44 Yeah.
0:44 Because what you do is when you're when you're when you get through it,
0:47 you're like, "Oh, that wasn't that bad." It's the anticipation of it.
0:51 anticipation.
0:51 It's like, you know, you're in a relationship when you're young and you know you
0:54 got to end it and you're thinking about for 6 months.
0:56 Every day your stomach's turning and then you
0:58 bring it up and the other person's like, "I was thinking the same thing,
1:00 but we can be friends." And you're like, "I just killed myself
1:03 years or something.
1:05 Decades, yeah.
1:06 right?
1:06 So, I I think I think what helps move you in the in the right
1:09 direction is pick something that you've been putting off this week.
1:12 And just freaking do it.
1:14 Cuz Tony says this and I I I love giving him credit where credit's due,
1:16 but Tony always says courage is not moving forward in the absence of fear.
1:20 Courage is moving forward even though you're scared.
1:24 Mhm.
1:23 And when you hear that, it's like, "I know it's scary to have this conversation.
1:27 Say yes to say no, but I'm having it."
1:28 And then you get done and you're like, "Now, what else can I do?" So,
1:31 I would just say start getting some start flexing your courage muscle.
1:35 What is the area of your life you've lacked courage the most lately?
1:40 Ooh.
1:41 I'm pretty damn courageous.
1:43 Only cuz I built the muscle over the years.
1:45 I I have to say, so again, just just being transparent.
1:49 Tony Robbins is my partner, my dearest friend in the world.
1:52 We talk almost every night.
1:53 About a year ago, Tony calls me and says, "Hey, AI thing,
1:56 it's going to it's going to crush people."
1:58 He just knows the human condition so much.
2:00 You You just had a great interview with him not that long ago.
2:02 I loved it.
2:03 It was so good.
2:05 He cares deeply, more than most people would ever think, right?
2:08 You think it's just part of his jam.
2:09 It's He doesn't have to work a day in his life.
2:11 He He's This is He's obsessed with it.
2:13 So, he calls me a year ago and says, "Hey, AI thing is going to people.
2:15 It's too fast to change.
2:17 It's coming too quick.
2:18 The mind's not going to be able to help it.
2:19 People are going to fall apart.
2:20 We got to do something about it." I said,
2:22 "I know I've been thinking the same thing." So,
2:23 then like 3 months later, he calls me late at night.
2:28 He says, "Can you talk?" I'm like, "Of course.
2:29 I'll bring I I call him back.
2:31 He says, "We got to do it I can hear him like hitting the table.
2:33 He's like, "We got to do it now.
2:34 We have to launch an education platform for people around AI
2:39 and we got to do it in the next 90 days.
2:41 People are losing their mind." And he he said,
2:43 "And there's a lot of people are going to be
2:43 charlatans out there that say how to get rich with AI,
2:46 how to learn it overnight for doing nothing." He goes,
2:47 "They're going to screw people up, make them more alone.
2:49 We got to do this." So,
2:51 we talked and it was like 90 days before we set the time in November.
2:55 We did our first AI event.
2:56 We had like 700,000 people come.
3:00 And I have to say, I was like fear hit me.
3:03 I was like, "What if I let Tony down?
3:05 What if I let people I'm not the AI expert.
3:07 I'm 57.
3:08 I've been education, self-education for all these years for 30 years.
3:11 Tony 47.
3:12 We know we have this philosophy of getting their minds first,
3:15 overcoming the fear, getting purpose, overcome change overcome change and get
3:20 and that's when I'm like, "All right,
3:21 the only way I can do this, I got to find 50 experts I can
3:24 interview and I got to do it
3:25 in rapid speed." I was just interviewing interviewing.
3:28 I was getting smarter at every interview,
3:29 but I have to tell you, you asked me when I was scared.
3:31 I was scared at first.
3:32 I'm like, "What if I let Tony down?" Like he put so much faith in what I do.
3:35 He's like, "You got this.
3:36 No one can do this better than you." I'm like, Okay.
3:39 [laughter] You know, um but that muscle I got I didn't want to let him down.
3:43 I didn't want to let people down and I want to be ahead.
3:46 I don't want to be the person that's fallen behind.
3:48 So, those three things drove me.
3:50 Um I created So, here's the best part of it.
3:53 The reason we teach is what we do.
3:54 I created a compelling future.
3:56 We're going to create the AI education,
3:57 not even education, just help people save time with AI.
4:00 We didn't even call it AI education.
4:01 We call it here's how you save time using AI in a simple way, right?
4:04 We're going to create the number one place in the world.
4:06 We're going to embrace change.
4:07 We're going to hold people through it so they don't get freaked out.
4:09 We're going to help them simplify, not 100 things, just one thing.
4:13 So, I started going through these things and then
4:14 all of a sudden when I got to the end,
4:15 I'm like, "I can do this, right?" But I had to do it.
4:18 Believe me, I got off the call with him that night.
4:19 We were like, "Yes, let's do it.
4:21 We're doing it." I got off the mic.
4:22 I'm like, "Oh my god, can I really do it,
4:24 right?" The impostor comes back, the the broke kid comes back.
4:27 They They still live in there.
4:28 You just got to beat them up a little.
4:30 Wow.
4:31 Speaking of Tony, you know, I just had him on the show recently
4:33 and it was an awesome experience like you said.
4:36 I think it was the fifth time I've interviewed him
4:37 as well and each time I just I try to learn something
4:39 new from him and try to get him off of his normal
4:42 stories that I always hear from other people and I'm like,
4:44 "All right, I got to get something out of him."
4:46 You spent something different out of him, I should say.
4:49 And you spend, you know,
4:50 every day or every week you're talking to him and you've
4:52 been with partners with him for almost a decade now, I think.
4:56 Um and you studied his work for 20 years, I think,
5:00 before then, but you've really built
5:02 a personal relationship and a business relationship.
5:06 What would you say are the three most powerful things Tony Robbins
5:10 has taught you as a human being that maybe most people don't see?
5:16 One is his desire to give back.
5:18 He He gives back more than anybody knows.
5:20 Like when he talks about the billion meal challenge and now
5:23 a hundred billion meal challenge and all this it sounds unrealistic,
5:28 but it's what drives him every day.
5:29 Like he'll just call me out of the blue and talk for half
5:31 hour on how he got the king of this country to put up
5:35 a $5 million to provide this many meals and it's like it's a part
5:39 of his DNA and it's if it's become his purpose in his existence.
5:44 And cuz here's what he's a master at.
5:47 We all need that compelling future.
5:49 He doesn't have to work a day in his life.
5:52 His company He's He's impacted more lives than anyone in history, right?
5:56 I mean, he's the goat of goats in his industry.
5:58 He's the Michael Jordan of that space.
6:01 So, he's checked off all those boxes.
6:03 If he just said, "Hey, I got plenty of money.
6:05 I got the house of my dreams, the wife of my dream." Him and his wife
6:07 Sage have the most amazing relationship anybody's ever seen.
6:09 It's not BS.
6:10 It's amazing.
6:12 So, he's got all those.
6:12 So, what did he do?
6:13 He had to find a new compelling future.
6:15 I need to feed a billion people in 10 years.
6:18 I did it.
6:19 I got to feed the hundred billion people.
6:21 He's flying all over the world.
6:22 He's He's He's doing everything he can do.
6:24 So, he's got this drive.
6:25 So, therefore he wants his businesses and everything to do good so
6:28 he can give away and solve take take away pain from people.
6:32 So, he is So, that's one is is you got to create a compelling future so big.
6:39 I know we talked about it a little bit today.
6:40 It's got to be so big that it overcomes impostor syndrome.
6:43 It overcomes fear.
6:44 It overcomes that I'm not enough.
6:46 I don't know enough.
6:46 It's got to be so strong that no matter what, you just move forward anyway.
6:50 That's Tony Robbins at his core.
6:52 It's so big, you're not getting in his way.
6:55 That's That's a fact.
6:56 Okay, that's one.
6:57 Um number two.
7:00 He always talks about the not always, [clears throat] he gave me this advice.
7:03 Um that as leaders we have to be both effective and efficient.
7:09 Mhm.
7:10 And that was a that was a it hit me
7:12 at a time where I was managing two different companies, hundreds of employees,
7:15 and I was being really efficient cuz I knew how
7:17 to fix different departments cuz I've been in this for 30 years.
7:20 And he's like, "You're going in and you're being efficient.
7:22 You're getting it all done,
7:24 but you're not building deep relationships with the leaders.
7:26 So, therefore you're not being effective." And I need
7:28 to hear cuz I was I was moving and shaking.
7:31 doing it all.
7:32 You were doing it all as opposed to empowering others to do
7:35 Or just showing you how to do it.
7:36 I know what this department I built this department.
7:38 Do it this way.
7:39 You good?
7:39 Cool.
7:39 And go on to the next without like, "Hey, how you doing, Luis?
7:42 What's going on in your life, right?" So,
7:44 that when he when he said that, I know it sounds like,
7:46 "Oh, he just said effective and efficient,"
7:47 but I knew exactly what he's talking about.
7:49 He's like, "You're the most efficient man I ever know.
7:51 You need to be more effective." Which is build more deeper relationships.
7:55 What then for you?
7:56 Exactly.
7:56 I mean, leadership the older I get the the leader what leadership
8:00 is really is it's imagine being the best kindergarten teacher in the world.
8:06 You wouldn't teach all the kids the same.
8:08 The shy kid you realize has troubles at home.
8:10 His parents are going through a divorce.
8:11 You're going to treat him different than
8:12 the outgoing extrovert who's standing up on tables.
8:15 And the kid with ADD and the one that's trying to be
8:17 normal and the one that's just moved here and doesn't know anybody.
8:20 As a teacher, you get to know all those.
8:22 It's like, "Hey, Sally, go sit with Lisa.
8:24 So, you you two are the same." Hey, I like you know that.
8:27 That's a that's what makes a great leader.
8:29 Yeah.
8:30 Is when you know your the people that underneath you,
8:32 you know what makes them tick, what they deal with, what are their constraints.
8:36 That's probably the biggest secret of leadership that I found
8:39 at this phase of my life of having thousands of employees.
8:42 Yeah.
8:42 Effective and efficient.
8:43 What's the third thing Tony's taught you, you think?
8:47 [snorts]
8:48 I think the biggest byproduct for him,
8:51 the biggest hands down the thing that changed my life the most
8:55 is we had a talk when I I went through a divorce.
8:58 And uh I'm so worried about my kids and I'm like,
9:00 "I am not getting back in another relationship.
9:02 I'm just going to I'm going to be friends with my ex.
9:04 I'm going to be a super dad and I'm going
9:05 to go deep on my business." And he's like, "BS.
9:09 Get on a plane.
9:09 Get down here." And uh so we we're talking about relationships.
9:14 And the biggest byproduct he had me write
9:16 down everything that I wanted in a relationship,
9:18 this is common, and everything I wouldn't accept in a relationship.
9:22 But I know he he knew what he was doing cuz I wrote all this down.
9:25 I had to do it in front of him.
9:26 I'm writing all this down.
9:27 And I remember looking at it and saying, "Wow,
9:30 I'm pretty full of myself that I want that in a woman." If here's the part
9:34 that I got and I think he knew I was going to find this end result.
9:38 I've never shared this cuz this one changed
9:40 my That's why I'm married to my wife.
9:41 Lisa, you know her dearly.
9:42 You know that we have true love like I got done reading that and I went "Damn,
9:47 if I'm going to attract that kind of woman, who do I need to become?" Yeah.
9:50 I need to be the same thing.
9:51 I looked through this list.
9:52 I'm like, "Wait, I'm messing up on this one.
9:55 And I'm not doing this one.
9:56 And I want this, and I'm not that man.
9:58 And I started working on me.
10:00 I'm like, how do I attract And I like like God saw me doing it.
10:04 Like 3 months later, I'm working.
10:05 I'm like, I got to do this.
10:07 I got to do that.
10:07 I got to shift this way.
10:08 I do I put work first without realizing it.
10:10 Work is everything to me.
10:11 My business, everything.
10:12 My relationships were second.
10:15 And I meet my wife, Lisa, right in the midst of going through that.
10:18 And you know, we're 8 years in now.
10:20 Is it really been 8 years since you guys I remember you sending
10:22 me photos of you guys going out like in the first few months.
10:25 Yeah.
10:25 And you're like setting stuff and I knew it.
10:28 I It's so funny.
10:29 I just We're on our first date.
10:30 I'm like, I didn't think I was going to date I'm marrying this girl.
10:33 I knew it on the first date.
10:35 So, it's 8 years since you guys started dating or married?
10:39 Yeah.
10:40 And what's the three biggest lessons your wife, Lisa, has taught you?
10:45 [snorts] Oh.
10:46 That's really great question.
10:49 Um that she's taught me.
10:51 She is Whether about life or fatherhood or being a husband or yeah.
10:57 So, I would say that her love is so deep.
11:02 If something is off, I have a tendency as a man to keep it inside.
11:07 And I'll be a little off.
11:08 And she'll be like, "What's wrong?" I'm like, "Nothing.
11:09 I'm good." She will not let that happen.
11:12 She'll let me share it.
11:12 And even if I say something that that she doesn't like,
11:17 in 15 minutes, if we talk it through, even if I said something like,
11:20 "Well, I don't like the you know,
11:21 something that like somebody else would hold a grudge,
11:23 she's over it in 15 minutes.
11:25 Just done.
11:26 And she's like, "Hey, babe.
11:27 You want me to get you a glass of You want to go do a thing?" I'm like,
11:29 "We're done with that?" She's like, "Yeah, we got it out." That's good.
11:32 Like she's just fantastic that.
11:34 Number two is my parents were married
11:37 and divorced nine times between the two of them.
11:39 I never lived with a parent.
11:41 Like it it just was always in out in out in out 20 moves.
11:45 Family is her life.
11:47 Like there is no I I I I feel blessed that like I'm going
11:52 to be married to her for the rest of my life, not a question.
11:54 But there's not even a question in her mind.
11:56 Like I chose you.
11:58 I'm with you for the rest of your life.
12:00 Wow.
12:00 And if we have troubles, we fix troubles.
12:02 We don't run.
12:03 We're not soft.
12:04 Would you run from a business that wasn't doing good?
12:06 No, you save a business that wasn't going good.
12:08 If something goes wrong in this house, we fix it cuz we're not going anywhere.
12:11 Her conviction is so strong.
12:14 Mhm.
12:14 And then the third thing I would say is she is so transparent and such
12:20 an open book that it's given me the greatest
12:23 gift ever that I am the same person.
12:25 There's never a time I say this all but I got this from her.
12:30 If she hired a private investigator to follow me around and film me for a week,
12:34 and she watched every bit of the footage, she'd love me more.
12:37 Wow.
12:38 Because she is so transparent.
12:39 And she still looks at me with such loving eyes that I never want to ruin that.
12:43 So, there's nothing I do.
12:44 Even my eyes don't wander.
12:46 My Like there's no DM that I would even look at.
12:48 Like I've just made it so if she's watching, she's like,
12:52 "That's why I love this man." Cuz she's so transparent.
12:55 It made it in me.
12:56 What's the thing you love about her the most?
13:00 Uh I I love I love the mother that she is.
13:03 I love how much she loves me.
13:04 I love how much she loves my older kids.
13:06 She's a good woman.
13:07 I'm I I I punched above my weight class on this one.
13:12 [laughter] And what do you feel like is missing most in humanity right now
13:20 with all of the And and when I'm And I to give context,
13:24 I feel like there's so much has shifted in the last 10 years where this focus
13:31 around being discon- being connected to our phones
13:34 or to online things versus connected to people.
13:37 Obsessed about making more money, but maybe not really making impact.
13:43 It's like we've had focuses in different places
13:45 where we think it might be the right thing,
13:46 but there's there's something that seems like there's
13:48 still missing for lots of people, not everyone.
13:51 What do you think is the biggest thing missing
13:54 for people to feel more fulfilled and happy in their lives?
13:58 I hate to fall back on something that might sound so simple,
14:01 but we've had such a good life for so long,
14:03 even though we think things are tough.
14:04 Would you rather Would you Would you want
14:06 to be alive in any other time in history?
14:07 No.
14:08 Would you want to live anywhere else?
14:09 We're blessed.
14:10 I know you have people from all over the world,
14:11 but we're pretty blessed here in America.
14:13 Safe, right?
14:17 We don't realize it we take it for granted.
14:19 Mhm.
14:20 When you hear someone say have an immigrant mindset,
14:22 they come from a place of oppression.
14:24 They come here to America.
14:25 And you're like the happiest people you know.
14:27 So many of them become wealthy within
14:28 the first generation because they see nothing but opportunity.
14:32 We've been here too long.
14:33 We take it for granted.
14:35 So, what is the thing missing?
14:36 Gratitude.
14:38 Gratitude.
14:38 You know, when when we fought the Revolutionary War, right?
14:43 And you figure how many people died to give us freedom.
14:46 That lasted for a while, what people fought for.
14:48 World War I, World War II,
14:50 what we fought for for the freedoms, getting through the depression.
14:53 All those things give this layer of gratitude.
14:55 Then there's wave of immigrants that you know, I'm Italian.
14:58 My grandparents came here in the early 1900s, late 1800s.
15:02 My grandfather told the story of coming here with nothing in his pocket,
15:04 didn't speak the language, had $5 in his pocket, had nothing.
15:08 And he He's like, "I landed in the greatest
15:10 place in the world." By the time he died, he owned two restaurants,
15:12 took care Like And what happens when you
15:14 have too many years of too much social media, too much comparison,
15:19 not have to struggle for food,
15:20 not have to struggle for I mean, I know some people still do.
15:22 I'm I'm not being disrespectful for that.
15:24 But I think if we could find a way all of us,
15:27 especially politics divide people so much,
15:29 if we all just found a way to be grateful for the space we're in.
15:33 Again, it sounds like duh, but it really is.
15:35 Gratitude is the the most powerful thing [clears throat] on Earth.
15:39 Yes.
15:39 But when someone's feeling broke or they or they literally don't
15:42 have any money or they're struggling month to month pay their bills,
15:45 should they be thinking more about the number of money
15:50 how much money they want to make and and focus
15:53 on money first or should they be thinking about
15:56 the value they want to create in the world,
15:57 the impact, the difference they want to make?
15:59 they should focus on them equally.
16:01 So many people focus too much on money.
16:03 Other people focus on just impact.
16:05 I think the byproduct of impact is money.
16:08 Mhm.
16:08 So, how can you make an impact?
16:10 The other thing we also have to remember is we all overestimate what we
16:13 can do in a year or two and underestimate what we can do in five.
16:16 That's a fact.
16:17 Yeah.
16:17 And then when you don't see anything happen in 3 months,
16:19 you're like, "This isn't for me.
16:20 This is stupid." Mhm.
16:21 And then the last thing I'll say is on that is if you're listening,
16:26 would you live the hard way for a year
16:28 so you could live easier for a decade after?
16:31 So, what if you just acknowledge the next year is going to be hard,
16:34 but I'm going to make choices that I've never made.
16:36 I'm going to be more courageous than I've ever been.
16:38 I'm going to unlock that creativity.
16:39 I'm not going to listen to my mom cuz I know she loves me,
16:41 but she's trying to protect me.
16:42 I'm going to do this.
16:43 Like what if you were courageous, bold, made moves, and the next year was hard?
16:48 Yeah.
16:48 But 12 months from now was a little less hard.
16:50 And 24 months was amazing.
16:52 36 months from now you were living into who you're meant to be.
16:55 So, you know, and none of us You didn't get here.
16:57 You didn't It looks like you've been here forever.
16:59 Right.
17:00 But the journey if someone watched the journey and the doubt like the doubts
17:04 and the no money and all the stuff and then then you see the end,
17:06 it looks easy, right?
17:07 We all got to go through the crap.
17:09 And if And And some of you are already going
17:11 through it and you've been through enough, and I'm sorry.
17:12 But you just You never know how I the Og Mandino,
17:16 his book The World's Greatest Salesman,
17:18 when he talks about I will persist to I until I succeed.
17:21 That's one of the 10 scrolls in in The World's Greatest Salesman.
17:24 And he talks about that you never know how many corners you
17:28 have to go around until your success is on the other side.
17:31 And how I translated that is you might have to go through 10 failures,
17:35 10 questioning yourself, living on your sister's couch,
17:38 and then the 11th thing you found enough
17:39 success to go forward and then go forward.
17:43 [clears throat] Some people might be 30 times.
17:44 Some people might be three.
17:45 Some people are blessed.
17:46 Some people have to Like but if you just keep moving,
17:49 eventually around one of those corners is there another level.
17:53 And if you knew that it was going to take you 100 attempts
17:57 or phone calls or face-to-face meetings
17:59 in order for you to generate that success,
18:02 the result, or financial abundance you wanted,
18:05 you wouldn't get discouraged after 10.
18:07 You'd be like, "I'm one closer." You'd be one closer.
18:09 That's such a good point.
18:10 That's a great way to look at Oh, I'm developing the skills.
18:13 I'm getting the feedback.
18:14 I'm getting the resources.
18:15 out of I'm getting the failures out of the way.
18:16 Yeah.
18:17 And faster I do this, the faster I'll get to 100 or even if it's 1,000.
18:21 Whatever it is, like you still have to get through there to get to that number.
18:25 Whatever that rep is for you to unlock the next level.
18:28 If someone watching or listening right now is at zero.
18:34 And they're trying to get to 100K or 1 million, let's say.
18:39 And you mentioned earlier you got to be thinking about both,
18:41 the money and the impact or the value you're going to bring.
18:44 How would you coach someone if they're watching this and say,
18:47 "Dean, okay, I'm struggling right now.
18:49 I'm kind of at zero or maybe I've got a few thousand bucks,
18:51 but I'm really trying to get to 100K.
18:54 And ultimately I'd like to get to a million.
18:56 I don't know how long it's going to take,
18:57 but what would that Is it think about a business where I could think
19:01 about a million dollars first and how much I need to sell that thing?
19:04 Is it think about where I can add the most
19:06 value and contribute the most and make a difference?
19:09 Blending the two?
19:10 Like how would you coach that?
19:11 I know it's probably longer than a one answer, but
19:13 and this might Think about some of the A players you know in your life.
19:19 Right?
19:21 And like I feel like turning their head.
19:23 Like there's option A.
19:25 Learn AI and become an AI teacher.
19:28 Um this one here, go into, you know,
19:32 brick and mortar or more blue collar businesses that are going to stick,
19:36 you know, uh no matter what happens with AI.
19:39 And there's a Behind door number three is something else.
19:44 Picture if you know the A players like
19:46 your partner Matt and others in your life.
19:48 If you gave them any one of those three, would they be successful?
19:51 Yeah.
19:51 The A players, yeah, yeah.
19:52 Yeah.
19:53 Right?
19:53 So, I think the foundation is make yourself an A player.
19:56 Like, if you've tried a lot of things in your life and you quit, it's okay.
20:00 We've all been there.
20:01 Yeah.
20:01 But, maybe you give up on the, you know, if you want to use a sports analogy,
20:04 you give up on the five-yard line every time
20:05 because you just need to push a little bit further.
20:08 For me, I would I would create
20:11 an unstoppable successful mindset by modeling people,
20:14 read the right books, watch the podcast,
20:16 so many great ones you've done, and build your DNA.
20:18 Like, this is what I'm becoming.
20:20 I mean, some I failed in the past.
20:22 I'm going to keep failing, but this time I'm not going to quit.
20:24 I'm going to do this on a daily basis.
20:25 I'm going to work on this.
20:26 I'm going to focus on my compelling future.
20:28 I'm going to write out my compelling future every day.
20:30 And then start investigating where the world is going.
20:32 You can go on AI right now and say,
20:34 "What would be bulletproof businesses that I should start once I'm an A player?
20:39 What would you suggest I go on?" And look three
20:41 or four of them and see the ones that liked you up,
20:44 and then go down the rabbit hole and say, "What if I did this?
20:46 And where would I start?" And all of a sudden,
20:47 we have that ability to We didn't have access to that information before.
20:52 That's what I would say.
20:52 Yeah, so instead of thinking of like which direction am I taking,
20:55 start building the skills, the value, and
20:58 ask you, through the history of time, have we gone through depressions?
21:00 Yes.
21:01 We've gone through wars?
21:02 Yes.
21:02 Has the world changed completely when the Industrial Revolution came?
21:05 Yes.
21:05 But, were there still people crushing it?
21:08 Yeah, of course.
21:08 What do you think their common thread was?
21:11 I mean, courage, confidence, I know what you're talking about there.
21:14 Right?
21:15 And you hate to say that sounds boring.
21:16 Yeah, yeah.
21:16 But, it's a fact.
21:17 It's a fact.
21:18 And I think they weren't afraid to step into uncertainty.
21:22 That was the the big thing.
21:23 They saw opportunity.
21:24 Oh, there's this change happening.
21:26 You know, there's electricity now.
21:29 There's the internet.
21:30 There's TV.
21:30 There's radio.
21:31 Like, there's thing this thing that we don't understand.
21:33 It's happening.
21:35 And we could take a risk and jump into it and maybe fail,
21:37 or we could be the leaders in this space.
21:39 Yeah, absolutely.
21:40 And move forward.
21:40 And that's why you got into AI really
21:42 a year ago and started teaching people this.
21:44 And you think you had what, six or 700,000 people jump on 630.
21:47 It was actually 630.
21:48 630,000 people jump into this summit you did last year,
21:50 and you've got another one coming up here uh April
21:53 23rd through the 25th called the AI Advan- Advantage Summit.
21:57 It's free.
21:58 It's virtual.
21:59 People can go check it out.
22:00 It's only 3 hours a day.
22:02 And where can they go to start learning how
22:05 to master AI for their personal and professional lives?
22:09 And yeah, where why should they take advantage of this?
22:13 I think, listen, if you're already an AI expert,
22:16 you're already doing vibe coding, and you're chasing every tool, Yeah.
22:20 this is not the event for you.
22:21 That's about 18% of America, about 6% of the world.
22:24 You're already past it.
22:25 Yeah.
22:26 You're an expert.
22:26 You're an expert, and that's awesome.
22:28 You can come hang out with us.
22:29 But, this is for the average business owner, solopreneur, entrepreneur,
22:33 someone that wants to be bulletproof in their career to learn how to What we
22:36 teach is how to go deeper on AI to build it so it knows you,
22:40 and then how to utilize it to buy back time.
22:42 The biggest thing we shared was there's never been a mechanism
22:45 to give you more time and then how to leverage that time.
22:48 So, by the time you're done, I mean,
22:49 it was it was one of the most fun events we've ever had.
22:51 We got great speakers, um and you'll you might come a little overwhelmed,
22:56 confused, you'll leave with AI confidence, AI um fluency.
23:01 And you'll be you'll be jamming By night two,
23:04 they'll be home going, "I'm not that afraid anymore." It was pretty cool.
23:06 It was fun to watch it.
23:07 Where where can they go sign up right now?
23:09 AIsummit222.com.
23:12 Okay, cool.
23:13 it is free.
23:14 It's a it's it's going to be fun as heck.
23:16 And this is probably the only time we'll do it this year.
23:18 We did it last year.
23:19 We're doing it again now.
23:19 It's I mean, we got some amazing guests.
23:21 And And when I say amazing guest,
23:24 you're not going to get the high-tech AI people.
23:26 After 50 interviews, Tony and I grabbed the ones that they're most practical.
23:29 Like, when they speak Yeah, relatable.
23:31 They they speak and you go, "Oh, well, I could do that." Cuz believe me,
23:33 some of the interviews I did, halfway through I'm like,
23:36 "I have no idea what this guy's saying.
23:37 He's way smarter I am dumb.
23:39 He is smart." And I would say,
23:40 "Could you boil it down for me?" And when he boiled it down,
23:42 I still couldn't get it, right?
23:44 So, we took the people that take complicated things and make you go,
23:47 "Oh, I get that." So, it'll be a blast.
23:49 Yeah, it's exciting.
23:50 So, AIsummit222.com, it's coming April 23rd through 25th.
23:55 It's free.
23:56 It's only 3 hours a day.
23:57 You get some practical tools to help you
23:59 and kind of master what you need right now.
24:01 It's not going to overcomplicate things.
24:03 It's more about buying back time.
24:05 That's really what we focused the whole 3 days on.
24:07 That's it.
24:07 That's exciting.
24:08 Um Anything else?
24:10 What else is on your heart or mind that you want to leave people with today?
24:15 You know, I just think as Tony said when he called me a year ago,
24:22 we've never experienced the rate of change
24:25 that we're experiencing right now in politics, in world matters, in technology,
24:31 in you don't know if you're going to wake
24:33 up tomorrow and crypto's gone or the market's crushed.
24:36 Like, it's it's a time.
24:38 Just recognize that.
24:39 Realize you're human.
24:41 And realize that if you focus on all those, it's going to find
24:43 if you focus on where all that could go and you stack them,
24:46 it's hard for the human body that your your mind your psyche to even handle it.
24:51 So, when you find yourself going down that road,
24:53 just just have that second voice go, "Hey, we got to stop here.
24:56 I need to focus on what's good in my life.
24:58 What could be possible?
24:59 What could go right?" And you just combat it.
25:01 Like the two voices I said when you're on your sister's county.
25:04 Not easy, but absolutely worth it.
25:06 And in times like these, you can't control the outside world.
25:09 If your happiness is related to if
25:11 the market's up or AI gets easier, you're screwed.
25:14 Excuse my language, you're screwed.
25:16 So, we have to work on the inner game.
25:18 And I think a lot of the stuff we shared today was great.
25:20 And whoever else speaks to your soul, work on the inner game.
25:22 Get strong and know that you can you can see
25:25 a land of opportunity or a land of the lost.
25:28 It's your decision.
