0:04 achieving something that no other player in the world has done,
0:08 and his name is Veno.
0:10 He just became the first Fortnite player ever to win
0:14 an FNCS in the two biggest regions in [music] the world,
0:19 Europe and North America.
0:21 So today I'm going to break down how Veno got dropped by his duo,
0:25 picked up an inexperienced controller player,
0:28 and pulled off one of the biggest comebacks ever to win the FNCS Major 1 finals,
0:35 all without a coach.
0:37 And it all starts in game number one
0:40 where Veno and Curve drop at Battlewood Boulevard.
0:44 And to give you guys some context,
0:45 Curve was streaming his POV throughout the entire tournament, but Veno was not.
0:51 And they end up dropping on the north
0:53 side of Battlewood Boulevard near the theater area, usually uncontested.
0:58 But as you can see, they're already getting some damage
1:00 that they need for Storm Surge right off the rip.
1:04 Even a knock out of the air, Veno, and Curve.
1:09 I do want to also mention that Curve is
1:12 the first controller player since 2023 to win an FNCS.
1:18 So, this win meant a lot more than just setting history
1:22 by being the first player to win on NA and EU.
1:26 Curve also put controller players back on the map with this W.
1:31 Another thing about this team is they absolutely slayed out.
1:35 So, in game number one,
1:36 they end up finishing in 14th place with five eliminations,
1:41 but by the end of the first day,
1:42 they are tied for the most eliminations with 31.
1:46 And someone even mentioned that if you just add up their elimination points,
1:50 they would have qualified to the land based on purely eliminations.
1:55 So, right here, Veno ends up going down and Curve is
1:58 going to try to clutch up some additional points and placements here.
2:03 He's going to get one more limb here in this game.
2:07 And by the way, Curve is on controller,
2:09 but his mechanics would make you think that he's on mouse and keyboard.
2:12 He is one of the most mechanical controller players I've seen in a long time.
2:18 154 around the corner right there.
2:20 He's running in trying to find a refresh in the endame by himself.
2:24 By the way, Veno went down a while ago.
2:26 Curve is capable of getting all these placements on his own.
2:30 14th place is not bad considering there's 50 teams
2:34 in the lobby and how stacked these end games get.
2:36 That is a exceptional solo clutch from the controller player of this duo.
2:41 All right, so they go into game number two in 10th place.
2:44 Now in this game we see Veno employ this strategy where he's sneaking
2:49 up on teams that are landing around the south side of Battlewood Boulevard.
2:53 And Veno even mentioned on stream that he
2:56 practiced and basically studied all of the teams
2:59 that were around him and had strategies to sneak
3:02 up on all the teams in the area.
3:04 And we actually see them pull this off multiple times.
3:07 This is the first time they pull this off.
3:09 They're hiding in here fully crouchwalked in the storm, too.
3:13 So, this is this is kind of like a a crazy strat.
3:15 They're even committing heals for this to pull it off.
3:19 There we go.
3:21 Finally catch the other team with a good shot.
3:23 Curve goes in right now.
3:25 Uses the last bit of splashes.
3:27 No more white health for either team it seems like.
3:30 No, Veno has some pizza.
3:31 Curve is putting pressure on them.
3:33 Goes back for the pizza.
3:35 Now, I'm going to I'm not going to lie.
3:36 It doesn't seem like this pays off for them.
3:40 Oh, it they do end up getting them.
3:42 I mean, they committed a lot,
3:43 but they got two eliminations and they set themselves up for storm surge,
3:47 which is really important.
3:48 You have to have damage done before
3:50 the endgame or the storm surge will kill you.
3:52 Look, they're 586 above off of those two
3:55 eliminations and some damage that they're doing.
3:57 Now, they're still in storm sticking near this vending machine.
4:00 We saw the vending machine be used a lot throughout this tournament.
4:03 It was huge in some of the the wins for these players.
4:06 And right there, another crouch walk and they get the knock on these guys.
4:11 Go back for the heels.
4:13 They have all that gold.
4:15 The sneaky plays.
4:16 This is this is this is the second time they pull this off in the second game,
4:19 but this is not the last time.
4:20 They end up doing this so many times throughout this tournament,
4:22 and it's all very much planned.
4:24 Four eliminations, exceptional damage output.
4:27 I believe they're going to end up getting
4:29 three more eliminations in this game right here.
4:32 They push this duo.
4:33 Quick wipe, quick refresh.
4:35 Mythic pump shotgun on the ground there.
4:37 He's going to let Veno grab it.
4:40 This guy jumps into the wrong box.
4:42 I don't know what's going on.
4:44 There's their seventh elimination.
4:46 And now in this game, I believe they end up going down in 10th place.
4:51 They end up going for a hype play here.
4:52 And I think he's going to get fried.
4:55 Yes, he does.
4:56 10th place with seven limbs.
4:59 The eliminations is what's keeping them in this tournament.
5:02 I want to point something out.
5:03 Clicks and Higs end up winning that game.
5:06 And they end up winning the second game, too.
5:08 Uh going up to first place, but they were tied.
5:10 They were tied in first place for points
5:12 because they did not have a lot of eliminations.
5:15 As you can see, they only have six eliminations on this win.
5:17 However, Beno and Curve have 12.
5:19 Look at the leaderboard right now.
5:20 Venom and Curve have the most amount of eliminations,
5:23 and they're going to finish this tournament with a really,
5:25 really ridiculous total elimination count, especially coming from Veno himself.
5:31 Okay, so now we're going into game number three.
5:33 They had a quiet early game.
5:35 They're looking for tags in the smaller zones.
5:38 Uh they end up finding a few eliminations before the moving zones.
5:42 Uh they even have this little trap right here.
5:45 Some guys in their builds.
5:46 Quick limb.
5:48 There's two eliminations now.
5:50 Veno goes down leaving Curve on his own to try
5:54 to solo clutch and the pressure starts picking up.
5:58 Another solo attempt from Curve, the controller player.
6:04 Some guy jumps in his box and he's down 25th place.
6:08 This was not a good game for them.
6:10 They end up dropping down back to 10th place.
6:12 But as you can see, Clicks and Higs actually win backto back games,
6:16 but they only have 210 points and second place also has 210.
6:21 Look at the elimination difference, though.
6:23 Cold and Rapid have 20 eliminations.
6:26 Click and Higs have nine.
6:28 Veno and Curve, they're down to 15 eliminations.
6:30 They got passed up.
6:31 However, they had a really bad game.
6:33 Let's see how game four goes.
6:35 Now, in game four, it's not better.
6:38 This is actually their worst game of the entire tournament.
6:42 They end up getting zero eliminations and they finish in 42nd place.
6:48 So, there seems to be a long distance fight between Electro and Veno.
6:52 And they end up pushing in, but they go a little bit too aggressive.

6:59 Veno ends up going down, leaving Curve by himself
7:06 and he's not going to make it out.
7:08 He has the heels.
7:09 He has some movement, but they're on him.

7:14 This other team's going to hear him start the reboot.

7:22 So, 42nd place, zero eliminations.
7:25 That is their worst game of the entire tournament.
7:29 But look at Rapid and Cold up to first place.
7:32 They end up dropping down from that game of course.
7:35 Now game five, there is some life.
7:38 So already right off the rip.
7:40 Curve with the long distance knock right over there.
7:43 Another sneaky play for Curve and Veno.
7:46 They were finding these guys.
7:48 They were sneaking up on them every chance they got.
7:50 Couple shots right here from Veno.
7:53 The sneaky play from Curve.

8:00 Now Veno is applying pressure from the top.
8:02 They're getting into this box fight.
8:04 I'm I'm assuming.

8:05 They're going to get this this wipe on this duo.
8:08 They're making their lives so miserable with these with these sneaky
8:13 plays that Veno has drawn up for them.
8:16 Team actually ends up rebooting in Battlewood.
8:19 And of course, Veno and Curve are going to push in instantly.
8:22 uh in this game they're going to get eight eliminations.
8:26 Now, they haven't had much luck in the end game as far
8:29 as making like a top five finish
8:31 for placements and placements are extremely important,
8:34 but even in games where they're dying a little bit early
8:37 or not making it all the way to the end game,
8:39 they are getting elimination points [music] and that really really adds up.
8:43 So, right now they're at six total limbs.
8:45 There is seven.
8:46 Crazy shot right there from Curve.
8:50 Veno goes down.
8:51 curve, no materials, running around.
8:54 He's down to nothing.
8:55 He's trying to avoid this duo that's chasing him.
8:58 Look at his movement.
8:59 Sits in the smoke right here.
9:01 He's doing such a great job staying alive.
9:04 And he's going to find another knock, but he ends up going down.
9:08 That is eight eliminations,
9:09 11th place going into the final game of day number one.
9:14 Rapid and cold of Force in first place with 30 limbs.
9:17 However, Beno and Curve not even in the top 10 five games into this tournament.
9:25 This is why this is one of the greatest
9:26 comebacks we've ever seen because in this final game,
9:29 they still barely crack the top 10.
9:32 And going from 10th all the way to first
9:34 on the second day of the tournament is so challenging.
9:39 I don't know.
9:39 I don't even know if we've seen something like that where a team goes
9:42 from 10th place all the way to first place on day two of the FNCS.
9:46 Now, in this in this final game of day one,
9:48 they immediately push Tyler and Chance.
9:50 They're actually going to end this game with another eight eliminations.
9:53 That's 16 total eliminations in the final two games of day one.

10:06 And I guess when you're playing with a controller player,
10:08 you have to be a little bit aggressive and take some of these fights,

10:33 And then they end up getting into a midame fight against Cold Cold and Rapid.
10:39 And there's another team here too that they're pushing.

10:45 He just went into the portaotti to chase that duo.
10:48 If we have any hope of winning this tournament,
10:50 it's going to be by eliminations and
10:53 that that's exactly what happened.

10:56 Now, right here, Veno goes down and and I
11:00 got to give a lot of credit to Curve, guys.
11:01 I know Veno is the one who set the record here by winning on NA and EU,
11:06 but Curve is getting so many points and eliminations
11:09 as a solo player doing it for the controller players out there.
11:13 It's actually crazy to see.
11:15 You would think that Veno is pretty much
11:16 selling with how often he's going down first,
11:19 but don't worry, we're about to witness a Veno master class going into day two.
11:25 So, day one, they are in 10th place.
11:28 10th place.
11:29 Acorn and Bolts are in first place and they're going to go all the way
11:32 from 10th while being down over a 100
11:35 points to finishing dominantly in first place.

11:40 What we're about to witness in the second half is insanity.
11:44 All right, so now game seven, first game of day two.
11:47 This is going to be the first game in the whole tournament where they
11:50 actually make it past the top 10 in terms of placement on the game.
11:55 They get some kills in the late tarps.
11:59 They are finding players.
12:00 They're finding refreshes.
12:02 Playing very well together.
12:03 Four eliminations total.
12:05 They're going to end up finishing with nine eliminations in this game.
12:09 And of course, a first place finish,
12:12 putting them on the board and climbing up the ranks.
12:16 They're going to go for a hype play here.
12:18 So, they're running back into Storm.
12:19 They're using the pizza to get their health back.
12:22 And they're going to do the shield nade, which going to give them low gravity.
12:26 They're splitting up.
12:27 And then they are jumping up for height.
12:29 Height instantly gets fried and knocked.
12:33 And now they're on the high ground.
12:34 They have full control of it.
12:36 They've got five limbs.
12:37 They're going to finish with four more.
12:38 And they're doing a good job defending high ground as well.
12:41 People come up in the air like that.
12:42 They're covering their heads and they are frying them out the sky.

12:48 Dude, look at those shots.

12:51 Curve has some insane accuracy even from range.
12:55 And I think right now they're going to drop down here soon.

13:21 That is one of the greatest plays of the tournament.

13:26 for the perfect moment to hit that side jump one pump.

13:30 It was a side jump and he still managed to hit him for 130,
13:33 knocking Sphinx down.
13:34 This could have gone the other way.
13:36 Sphinx and Mugs are two of the best players in North America.
13:40 So, the fact that he was able to land that shot
13:42 made it so much easier to finish this game out.

13:51 They jumped up five positions.
13:53 And look at the eliminations, guys.

13:58 They now have the most eliminations in this tournament.

14:40 They now are holding high ground up in the air.
14:43 So, in this game, they're going to finish with nine eliminations,
14:47 but they don't quite seal the win.
14:49 I feel like they actually sell this a little bit cuz they're on high ground.
14:53 They let this solo come up.
14:55 This was actually one of the craziest solo clutches we've seen.
14:57 Tyler with the mythic shotgun.
15:01 It's a onev2 against Veno and Curve.
15:04 One v2.
15:05 And he still almost got him.
15:07 Three eliminations.
15:08 Veno goes for the side shot play, but Tyler was ready for it.
15:12 You got to give credit to Tyler there.
15:13 That was an insane 1v2.
15:15 Like Veno and Curve had it in the bag.
15:17 It was almost a guaranteed win.
15:18 He clutched up.
15:19 That mythic shotgun is no joke.
15:22 If he did not have the mythic shotgun, he would not have clutched that win.
15:25 It was all because of the mythic shotgun and of course his excellent play.
15:29 But that's okay because they go from fifth place to second
15:32 place after that game cuz they got second place with nine eliminations.
15:36 Totaling 49 eliminations as a team.
15:39 Look at this.
15:39 Another sneaky play right here for Curve and Veno on a new team.
15:43 They're making sneaky plays on different teams every single game,
15:46 so no one's expecting it.

16:31 They're going to end up trying to go for height.
16:33 But in this game, Peterbot and Puyo do fight back
16:38 and we're going to see Peterbot and Poo clutch up.
16:40 Even though they don't have a lot of health right there,
16:42 they're putting pressure on Poo and Peterbot.
16:44 But Peterbot goes up in the air.
16:47 One pump's curve.
16:49 They're going to hold high ground.
16:51 And actually, something crazy happened in this moment right here.
16:54 The reason why Veno was not there is he actually ended up bumping
16:58 into Curve and awkwardly fell from the high ground down to his death.

17:04 It was a complete accident.
17:05 And Peterbot and Pooo saw this and took advantage of the situation.
17:09 2v1ing curve and they're going to end up
17:12 finishing this game out and winning the match,
17:16 jumping up into the leaderboards as well.

17:20 We've got Peterbot Puyo in first place with only three more games remaining.
17:25 I'm not going to lie, everybody who was watching at this point thought this was
17:28 going to be another classic Peterbot and Pooyo FNCS win.
17:32 But that is not how this tournament went down.
17:35 Let's jump into game number 10.
17:37 So they drop down.
17:38 He's going to get a pistol, some shotguns.
17:41 I think he's making an aggressive play here on this guy right outside.
17:45 Two head shot with the pistol.
17:49 Curve gets a team wipe with a purple pistol from this range.
17:55 Now they're in the end game.
17:56 They find a player who's weak.
17:57 Get the knock.
17:58 Apply pressure.
17:59 You notice how they they close the doors over there of the garage
18:02 just so it's harder for anybody to sneak up on them.
18:05 They're going to make a play for this vending machine.
18:07 Two eliminations going into this endame.
18:10 That right there, that right there was one
18:12 of the most important eliminations of this tournament.
18:15 Why?
18:16 because they just knocked Puyo while he was trying
18:18 to group up with Peterbot on the high ground.
18:21 Remember, Peterbot and Poo were in first place
18:22 going into this match and they just knocked Puyo
18:25 and they know that they knocked Puyo so
18:27 they're going to play aggressive here and go up.
18:29 They are not going to let Peterbot get Puyo back up.
18:32 They're putting pressure.
18:33 They find Puyo and now Peterbot is stuck as a solo
18:38 and they've got the refresh to hold this high ground.
18:41 They get a few more eliminations in the storm
18:44 and now they're making a play for high ground.
18:47 Are they going to take it?
18:49 Seems like they opted not to go for height because they're both low on health.
18:53 They're going to share the chug jug and some heals.
18:56 And now they're making a play for height.
18:58 This player jumps down into their box.
19:00 They get the elimination.
19:02 They're jumping up.
19:02 They've got seven limbs as a team.

19:09 It is Veno's turn now to give us a solo masterclass clutch.
19:14 Curve has gotten enough points as a solo.
19:16 Let's see what Veno can do.
19:18 So Veno four builds finds this player.
19:22 Barely clutches up the elimination.
19:24 He's staying in Storm.
19:25 He's low on health.
19:27 He's on the low ground.
19:28 Finds another knock on Ritual.
19:32 Goes back underneath.

19:34 He knows he's going to siphon health, so he's staying calm, cool, and collected.

19:40 Doesn't quite get it.
19:41 Gets back in circle.

19:43 The heal nade goes down.
19:45 Barely any mats remaining, but he's staying alive.
19:49 Finds a player.
19:50 Finds the refresh.
19:51 And now he's the only solo alive.
19:54 He's going to make a play here to avoid this duo.

19:59 Goes up on height.
20:00 Pumps this guy for 150.
20:02 No more mats left.
20:03 He's staying on top of the edge.
20:06 gets the shock wave going and drops down.
20:10 He tries to get this 1v2.
20:12 And look, look at this.
20:14 Look how close that was.
20:16 Nearly gets the knock, but unfortunately doesn't win the 1v2.
20:20 And Veno actually ended up saying he would have had the 1v2
20:23 had he not been carrying two shotguns in his inventory on accident.
20:27 Of course, that gives him the shotgun delay.
20:29 But either way, as a solo, he clutched to second place with 11 eliminations.
20:36 And now they have a decent lead against everyone else.
20:40 And they have 68 total eliminations.
20:43 Insane.
20:44 Insane.
20:45 Okay, so now we go into game number 11.
20:48 Uh they're going to end up getting sixth place with 10 eliminations.
20:53 So many limbs.
20:54 It doesn't even matter that they're not winning.
20:55 It doesn't matter that they're not getting top three every game.
20:58 The eliminations are racking up for this tournament.
21:02 So that's their second limb right there.
21:04 They're going to get eight more in this match.
21:07 They're staying in the mid ground looking for players.
21:10 There's another quick limb right there from a distance.
21:13 They do such a great job positioning themsel
21:15 and just applying pressure to the teams around them.
21:18 There's another one right there.
21:19 Kingling goes down.
21:21 Now over here, they actually drop Puyo into their box.
21:24 They edit him down and kill Puyo again, making it very,
21:29 very hard for Peterb and Poo to try to come back in this tournament.
21:33 Next up, Higs and Clicks go for height.
21:36 So, Veno and Curve end up giving up height.
21:39 They don't have the resources they need to take it,
21:41 so they're going to drop down and try to play in the mid ground.
21:44 Clicks and Higs just could not catch a break.
21:46 Every time it looked like they were about to make a comeback,
21:49 something just unfortunate happens.
21:50 A lot of pressure is being applied to them right now, staying alive.
21:53 Higs goes down and now Clicks has to revive Higs in Storm.
21:58 And the thing about Veno and Curve is they're very aware of what's going on.
22:01 They know Higs got knocked.
22:03 They know they're not holding the high ground anymore.
22:05 And now they're applying pressure onto them in storm.
22:09 And that's not going to go well for Clicks and Higs.
22:12 They've got the Chug Jug.
22:13 They've got the resources,
22:14 but I think they end up someone ends up falling to their death here.
22:16 Veno and Curve on the low ground.
22:21 Curve goes down.
22:22 Veno is by himself.
22:24 Look at Curve doing a good job rolling away
22:26 so it's harder for his loot to be grabbed.
22:28 Veno has no materials left.
22:29 He's just trying to use this chug jug,
22:30 but he ends up getting caught and he's going to die to Storm.
22:34 But still, sixth place with 10 eliminations is absolutely crazy.
22:38 And I I got to see how Higs and and Clicks don't end up winning this.
22:42 I actually don't know how they someone fell or got knocked,
22:44 but they didn't end up winning.
22:45 So, now going into game number 12,
22:47 they have a huge lead, 659 points, 78 eliminations.
22:51 Peterbot and Puyo are in fourth place,
22:53 and you think that this game and tournament has been secured for Veno and Curve.
22:58 However, it's not because Peterba and Pooyo are not playing for top three.
23:03 They are playing for first place.
23:04 They'd rather take the risk of going for first
23:06 place even if it makes them end up in seventh.
23:09 And that's exactly what's going to happen with Peterban Poo.
23:13 Peter Bond Poo tried to land on Veno
23:16 and Curve in the final game to eliminate them early.
23:20 However, Veno and Curve knew that this was a possibility,
23:24 so they landed on Peterbot and Puyo's POI
23:28 instead and they pick up a quick elimination.
23:31 This was such a smart play from Veno to switch up his drop.
23:34 He knows how Pou and Peterbot play.
23:36 He knows that they will make that decision because
23:39 they want to get first place more than anything.
23:42 But that doesn't mean that it's over cuz Peter and Pooyo start
23:46 pushing all the players around them trying to find Veno and Curve.
23:50 They're W King looking for Veno and Curve
23:53 and they find his team at the gas station.
23:55 However, it does not really go in their favor.
23:59 Peterbot tries to get the 1v2 going here.

24:05 He has all these players super weak.
24:07 But then another duo is going to roll up on them.
24:10 Just as Peterbot's about to clutch up, another duo comes in.
24:14 They're going to clean up this duo and Peterbot
24:17 is going to sneak away from this situation.

24:56 But I got to give some respect to Peterbot
24:58 and Puyo for trying to play for first place.
25:02 Other teams, they played it safe.
25:04 They were like, "We'll finish with the top two,
25:05 top three." Peter Van Pooo wanted first place and they were willing
25:08 to risk their tournament to do that by landing on Curve and Veno.
25:13 It didn't work in their favor,
25:14 but I got to say it was very entertaining and I have a lot of respect
25:17 for them to even attempt that cuz no other team tried to do the same thing.
25:21 Look at that gap.
25:22 Over 100 points and at this point pretty much it's over.
25:25 Everyone knows it's over.
25:27 Veno and Curve are playing their game and they're going
25:30 to end up getting one more elimination after this knock on Veno.
25:34 He gets revived.
25:34 They're going to get one more elimination before dying.
25:37 They do make it to the endame and they end
25:39 up getting 10th place in their final match with nine eliminations.
25:45 Nine eliminations.
25:46 So, they're still fragging out regardless of the fact
25:50 that they know that they've already won.
25:54 There's the knock right there.
25:55 The final knock from Curve.
25:57 He gets eliminated, but it's already too late.
26:01 The gap was too big.
26:03 The amount of eliminations was too much.
26:06 And with that, Veno became the first player in the world
26:10 to win an FNCS on the two most competitive regions ever, Europe and NA Central.
26:17 And Curve is the first controller player to win
26:20 an FNCS since 2023, nearly 3 years ago.
26:25 As a duo, they racked up 87 eliminations, 13 more than Peterbot and Poo dropped
26:32 in their dominant win back in Chapter 5, Season 2.
