0:42 So this is where the valves are and the fuel and exhaust, right?

9:37 The PCV valve that like recycles like all the crank case,

9:41 you know, as the pistons are going up and down really fast.

9:43 There's a lot of wind blowing around and oil vapors and burnt everything vapors.

9:48 And modern cars cycle it through to either be burnt again or you put it

9:51 into a catch can container or you do a Harley's doing what this thing's doing.

9:55 Blow it out onto the road.

9:57 Just goodbye oil vapors.

10:00 That'd be dripping with oil continuously and never endingly.

14:42 You can risk sticking stuff down the spark plug hole

14:44 and watch it come up and down and you know cause issues.

14:47 But as mentioned before the spark plug hole isn't above the piston,

14:50 it's above the valves and so James is using his thumb

14:54 to feel when the air squeezing stops squeezing and starts sucking.

14:58 So there's no markings on the balancer at all.

15:00 I think there will be on the flywheel but I

15:02 wanted to get it close before I have a look.

15:04 I mean, there is a mark on the the balancer, but don't know what it means.

16:28 run and then you advance it from there.

16:30 This is really tricky cuz there's so much slop in the timing chain.

16:33 Like as you're moving it, nothing's happening.

16:38 Carbs are super fun.

16:39 This is the entire fuel system.

16:41 A modern car with fuel injectors and a computer and all those maps and sensors.

16:45 Nah, there it is.

16:46 It's just meed holes and orififices.

16:49 And then there's a float bowl which, you know,

16:50 is like a little extra tank as a reserve for it to pull from.

16:54 And uh yeah, if it's all full of crusty junk and the float's all sunk,

16:58 then yeah, it doesn't work properly.

16:59 So, let's have a look.

17:00 This thing with its flat head and dinky little carburetor,

17:03 it's really closely related to a lawn mower.

17:06 This is basically the same tech.

17:07 Even lawnmowers are overhead valve now.

17:51 off and then soak it in all sorts of things,

17:54 but I you know that's not happening.

17:58 Wow, it's getting a filter into the clacky

18:01 clack pump and then into this bent piece

18:03 of garbage that was found in one of the boxes

18:05 that somehow screws right up to the car.

18:08 And so now what's got to happen is that this float

18:10 bowl has to fill up and then stop kind of like,

18:12 you know, like a toilet does or it's going

18:14 to gush everywhere and then we realize it's not working properly.

18:17 If it stops, the top can go back on and then

18:20 the next bit of this boat anchor can be looked at.

18:22 You just going to chuck that straight in the container.

18:26 Yeah.

18:27 Genius.

18:27 You say genius as I pull this out and tip petrol on my pants.

20:05 And now we got to put the plugs in and the leads in the right order.
