This New Claude AI Tool is Basically Cheating

vidIQ

0:00 This is Claude AI and we've just directly

0:03 connected it to the YouTube algorithm and your channel.

0:06 With vidIQ's new plugin, AI models like Claude can audit your channel,

0:10 search YouTube, spot outliers, and reverse-engineer viral videos.

0:14 That is the type of research that took hours, but now can be done by any creator

0:19 of any skill level in a matter [music] of seconds.

0:21 So, let's take a look at what this can do for you.

0:24 I'm here with Eric, one of the vidIQ coaches.

0:27 I think everybody's really keen to see how this works.

0:29 There is there are like a just a tiny bit of setup here,

0:31 is it that we have to get vidIQ and Claude to communicate with each other.

0:36 So, how do we do that?

0:36 All right, so in order to connect it, there's two ways you could do it.

0:39 There is the link in the description or you can go to vidIQ.com/claude.

0:44 That's going to bring you to this landing page here and then you're

0:47 going to scroll down here and you're going to copy the server URL.

0:51 So, once you do that, all you have to do is go over

0:53 to your Claude and you will go to your settings and then go to connectors.

0:59 And you're going to go to add custom connectors and then

1:02 let's just type vidIQ and then you're going to paste.

1:08 And then you're going to go to add.

1:11 All right, Eric, let's try something that's probably very familiar to a lot

1:13 of people when talking to AI and that is asking for a channel audit.

1:16 But, what I'm interested in is how the Claude and vidIQ

1:20 MCP bring something new and fresh to this type of conversation.

1:24 All right, so first we're going to paste this prompt inside of ChatGPT.

1:28 Now, ChatGPT is is is awesome, but it's not connected to our YouTube data.

1:32 So, it gives us some good advice,

1:34 but it's just general YouTube advice that would be good for any channel,

1:39 maybe our size because it's only looking at our public-facing data.

1:43 This is what happens when you connect Claude to vidIQ

1:46 and you do you run that prompt for a channel audit.

1:49 This is not just generic YouTube advice.

1:52 This is detailed data based on what is actually happening

1:55 in our channel and I actually think that it provided some great insight.

1:59 When we go down, what what Claude begins to do is

2:04 it lets us know where we're leaving views on the table.

2:07 So, I guess in summary, it's observation of channel,

2:10 uh a reason why this might be happening,

2:12 and then actual actionable steps here over the next 30 days.

2:15 Yeah, I First of all, shout out to you,

2:17 the one of the uh the the shadow ban video seems to be doing quite well.

2:22 Of course, the niche bend the video did well uh as well.

2:26 As I was coaching vidIQ as a coach and I was using this with one of my creators.

2:29 That kind of news reaction-based content is the type of content based

2:33 on the data that is actually getting us into the browser feed.

2:37 You know, our North Star is the fact that we we've we're always on top

2:40 of the news and that isn't quite covered as as frequently as other channels.

2:44 So, that's an interesting observation there from Claude.

2:46 So, we already feel as if I'm having

2:47 a deeper conversation with Claude about the vidIQ channel.

2:51 I guess what I want to know now is

2:53 stepping out of our channel bubble for a second,

2:55 what's popping off in our niche and how does it relate

2:58 back to our channel so that we can take advantage of it?

3:00 All right, so this next prompt is we're going to ask it

3:04 to find channels in our niche that are punching above their subscriber count.

3:08 We're not looking for big ones,

3:10 we're looking for the ones that are maybe for us would be 20K to 100K,

3:15 but are pulling 300K uh views.

3:18 This channel, Solo Retire Life, has 20,000 subscribers,

3:22 but recently pulled a video with almost 300,000 views

3:27 on a topic that we cover in in our niche.

3:29 So, uh we want to know what are some of the things that they're doing well.

3:32 I think the Solo Retire Life is actually going

3:35 to be a great example because it's pulling actual data.

3:39 It gives us some really good insight into what she's doing.

3:42 So, Solo Retire Life in her visual format is also still in reach.

3:46 Instead of just using static B-roll and talking head,

3:49 her entire video is vlogging in public as she talks.

3:52 She's pulling both the slow living vlog and YouTube earning videos,

3:57 which are two algorithms and two doorways into the content space.

4:01 And so, this actually mirrors something we talked about

4:04 here on uh the channel as far as niche bend.

4:07 To give you a like a brief breakdown of niche bending,

4:10 it was the idea of taking formats that work

4:14 uh for other niches and adapting them into your content.

4:19 It's keeping that in mind and it's giving us this idea that actually one

4:23 of the best pattern or one of the patterns that are breaking on YouTube

4:26 that would that is actual story that we can do a video on is

4:29 the most viral YouTube growth videos right

4:32 now aren't being made by YouTube growth channels.

4:34 It mentions that as a a suggestion of something that we could cover.

4:37 So, what we seem to find there, Eric,

4:39 are channels that are breaking out in our niche

4:41 that give us more long-term evergreen potential when making content.

4:44 What I'm interested in now is outliers that discover

4:48 current and trending topics that we can jump on immediately.

4:51 How would we go about searching for that?

4:53 we're going to ask it to show us videos which are in vidIQ's niche.

4:57 You can ask it to show you videos that are

4:58 in your niche which are really uh from the last 90 days.

5:02 These we're not looking for viral videos that they'll blow

5:04 up and really don't have a pattern of repeatable success,

5:07 but we want videos that really beat

5:09 their channel's baseline average by at least three times.

5:12 Here and one of the one of the patterns

5:14 that it kind of breaks out coincidentally, you may be maybe not,

5:17 that they all have to do with using Claude and how,

5:21 you know, AI is a big topic and using Claude and with YouTube.

5:24 When we talk about what this means for vidIQ's specifically,

5:27 it it suggested the Claude code wave is one of the hottest

5:30 things right now and because it's pulling from the data,

5:33 it can let us know that if we're going to do something about

5:35 this, this is something that we should probably do soon versus doing later.

5:39 Yeah, and if you haven't already realized,

5:40 this very video is us practicing what the Claude vidIQ MCP is preaching.

5:46 I'm pretty much convinced, Eric,

5:47 at this point that the Claude vidIQ MCP tool can have deep

5:50 and meaningful intimate conversations with the creator

5:54 about their channel when prompted.

5:56 But, what I want to know is can we make this more

5:58 seamless with scheduled tasks to help the creator on their YouTube journey?

6:03 Exactly.

6:04 For By the way, I love scheduled.

6:08 That is I think that is the proper way to to say it.

6:11 So, once you have the Claude desktop app,

6:12 you're going to go to the co-work section and then you're going

6:16 to go to scheduled and then you're going to go to new task.

6:20 And so, for this task here, I would like a daily content radar.

6:25 And so, using this MCP tool,

6:28 we can have it automatically schedule [clears throat] to look

6:30 at our last five published videos as as a task.

6:34 Now, this may not come as a surprise, but I got ADHD.

6:37 Squirrel!

6:38 So, a big thing for me is the type

6:41 of friction it takes for me to get into a task.

6:44 Being able to already have this scheduled, so when I open it,

6:47 I can just look at it and not have to go pulling from here and there,

6:50 that is a huge help.

6:51 All right, so we have run a prompt and this is what we got.

6:54 Now, imagine opening up your Claude

6:57 assistant desktop and getting this information.

6:59 This is super helpful.

7:01 This is our our last five videos showing

7:04 us what we did well concerning the packaging, concerning the hooks.

7:08 We're looking at the retention data here.

7:11 I like an overflow of information that I could look at.

7:15 If this feels overwhelming for any creator,

7:17 they can always customize their prompt in a very,

7:20 you know, simple way that fits what you need,

7:22 the information that you want to see each morning.

7:24 So, already, Eric, this tool is giving us

7:26 a ton of help with pre- and post-production,

7:28 whether it's finding outliers related to our niche

7:30 or getting an audit of our channel.

7:32 But, what about the content creation process itself?

7:35 AI has really helped creators save a ton of time writing scripts,

7:39 but this Claude vidIQ MCP integration takes

7:42 things just a little bit further, doesn't it?

7:44 One of the huge things that I love about Claude is projects.

7:48 And projects allows your Claude to work in a kind of a silo of specific content.

7:55 AI is a great co-worker, but it's not a great boss, right?

7:59 So, you still need to do the work,

8:01 you need you still need to be a student of YouTube in general so that you

8:05 can kind of test and look at the information that you are getting from any AI.

8:10 And so, when we're talking about script writing,

8:12 one of the things that I like to do is whenever I read a book or watch a video,

8:16 I would take notes and then I would copy those notes

8:19 into my Claude project files so that when I'm writing a script,

8:24 it's only using the context of those notes,

8:27 which are proven frameworks and helpful information to write that script.

8:31 so we we dropped this prompt in here and then these are some of the outlier

8:35 videos that have performed well for us with for in in the last 90 days or so.

8:39 And so, it's taking that information along with the frameworks that are

8:43 in the Claude project file and it's giving us a structural DNA.

8:47 It's breaking down exactly what these things done did well,

8:51 what they all kind of share in common so that we

8:53 could could think about this when we're going into our new content.

8:56 Sometimes there's a temptation to use AI to just create,

9:00 just like let AI just run wild.

9:03 But, no, you want it to work within a structure.

9:06 You want it to work in a framework in order to get the most out of it.

9:09 And so, with this, we're we're able to set a specific framework based

9:14 on what has traditionally working on our channel

9:17 and that's what you're seeing here now.

9:18 And then, you know, you a creator will still want to come in here and tweak it,

9:21 but this is like saving you [laughter]

9:25 like a a countless time versus if you had to do all of this from from scratch.

9:30 And as you said, this is just a starting point of assigning projects

9:36 to the vidIQ Claude MCP to really take things to the next level.

9:40 Yeah, there is so much more that you could that you

9:44 could do that and that you maybe we'll get into.

9:48 [music] Just in summary, uh Eric, again,

9:55 like why do people need to get on this now

9:57 and start exploiting the benefits of this tool?

10:00 Listen, I'm just a random man on the internet, but I'm telling you,

10:03 get this, try it out, push it to its limits, learn everything you can,

10:09 and determine in your mind that I am going

10:10 to be an expert on this tool cuz I'm telling you,

10:13 this is going to change how people create content.

10:16 And as I a fellow random man on the internet

10:18 who just happens to be wearing eccentric blue glasses,

10:20 I highly recommend you watch this video next,

10:22 which will go into greater detail on some

10:24 of our Vidiq tools to help you grow even faster.
