We Raced to Every Train Station in Taiwan - Ep 3

We Raced to Every Train Station in Taiwan - Ep 3

Jet Lag: The Game

0:00 Hello and welcome back to episode three of our five-day

0:03 race to claim all the train stations in Taiwan.

0:05 We're only halfway through day two,

0:07 but the map is already starting to fill up fast.

0:09 Last episode, Mike and I made the risky decision of backtracking through our own

0:13 territory to get to a challenge that Ben and Adam failed yesterday, and we...

0:17 also failed.

0:18 Fortunately, things turned around for us pretty quickly

0:21 when some new challenges dropped on the map, right where we happened to be.

0:24 We knocked one out right away, earning 30 chips,

0:27 and now we're on our way back north on an unclaimed line,

0:29 locking down new stations and further fortifying

0:31 the top of the map for our team.

0:34 Ben and Adam have continued heading south,

0:35 making it all the way down to the major city of Kaohsiung.

0:38 They're about to start a call your shot challenge at Monkey Mountain,

0:41 where they've predicted that they're gonna see 40 monkeys in 40 minutes.

0:45 If they see any fewer monkeys than that, they'll earn nothing,

0:48 but if they can pull it off, they'll walk away with 80 chips,

0:51 in a prime position to claim a lot of untouched territory on the east coast.

0:55 So, let's see if they can do it.

0:58 We are calling our shot.

1:00 We are going to see at least 40 monkeys.

1:04 Our shot has been called.

1:05 Let's do it.

1:06 Our timer will start when we step on...

1:09 To the trail.

1:10 To the trail.

1:11 That's— I like— I like— It's a monkey a minute.

1:13 A monkey a minute.

1:14 A monkey a minute, Benjamin.

1:15 Let's go see some monkeys.

1:18 Oh god.

1:20 (grunts) It's very uphill.

1:21 Have they had to do any challenges where you have to go uphill?

1:25 I don't think they have.

1:27 Why are we getting all of them?

1:51 Ooh.

1:53 Oh, we're about to pass the Roundhouse.

1:56 Oh, I love a roundhouse.

1:57 Which, yeah, that one.

1:58 Oh, oh yeah.

1:59 This is where they harvest the wind.

2:02 No, they grow it.

2:03 Right, and they have to harvest it at the end of the season.

2:10 Perfect.

2:12 Woo!

2:13 Welcome to Hsinchu.

2:14 The challenge is...

2:15 at a zoo.

2:17 Oh?

2:18 So it's gotta be another animal one.

2:20 We've been on a bit of a roll with animal challenges,

2:22 which is not normally how it's been with Jet Lag for me, so...

2:25 Something's different this season.

2:27 Hopefully we keep that up.

2:30 We've dropped off our bags at the lockers.

2:33 Feeling free!

2:34 And the sunshine means it's a good time....

2:37 What?

2:37 for the Jet Lag hat.

2:38 Don't forget to check out the website for merch.

2:40 Oh my god.

2:40 Oh man.

2:41 This is the cutest station we've been in yet.

2:44 It is, and gonna be honest, it is nice...

2:46 not having a backpack on.

2:48 Maybe we should do this more.

2:50 Whew!

2:50 Look at this movement we can do without— Look at this jumping.

2:52 Oh wow.

2:53 I'm ready for the zoo.

2:55 Oh god, I really wish there had been lockers.

2:57 Oh, it's so steep.

3:01 Oh my god!

3:04 (both breathing heavily) You can see how high we've gotten.

3:10 Yeah.

3:13 Oh my god, there's more.

3:15 This...

3:17 is...

3:18 not right...

3:20 ...what they're doing to us.

3:25 Alright, well, the stairs are gone.

3:27 But Ben, we are seven minutes in, and we are at zero monkeys.

3:32 But we made it up here.

3:33 It's true, we made it up, which surely has gotta be a huge part of the battle.

3:37 Oh!

3:38 Oh?

3:39 We got one monkey.

3:42 Are there any other monkeys?

3:46 There are no other monkeys around?

3:48 No, that was just one.

3:49 Maybe everyone hates that one.

3:51 Well, this is very damaging to our theory that they're gonna be in huge groups.

3:56 Ten minutes in, one monkey.

3:57 One monkey.

3:58 Not very good.

4:00 Look at the...

4:02 Just scooters everywhere.

4:05 It's a railroad park.

4:07 These three are front ends of trains or locomotives.

4:11 That's a steam train locomotive.

4:13 Hey, Michael?

4:14 That's another train.

4:17 Alright.

4:19 Animals.

4:20 Zoo, to the left.

4:21 Yep.

4:22 I think that turning left up here.

4:25 Oh.

4:26 Adam.

4:26 Oh?

4:28 Oh, there's one.

4:31 Okay, that's two.

4:32 You see more?

4:34 Well, I heard some rustling.

4:35 I guess there's a little baby one there.

4:38 Hi, baby.

4:40 Oh my god, that baby is so cute.

4:42 Okay, that's three.

4:43 Okay, four.

4:47 Four.

4:49 Oh, that's five.

4:53 Oh, Adam.

4:58 There, that's six.

5:00 Okay.

5:00 Did you get enough— Did you— There's two babies.

5:03 It's back.

5:03 Oh, there.

5:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.

5:06 Seven.

5:10 Okay, that's eight.

5:12 There's another— oh, nine.

5:16 That's nine.

5:23 Okay.

5:28 Okay.

5:29 I don't hear any more rustling, but I got nine.

5:33 Nine's pretty good.

5:33 So we're on track.

5:34 Should we keep going?

5:35 I mean...

5:36 I think we should keep going up.

5:37 Okay.

5:37 Maybe let's pop down this little trail.

5:39 Yeah, yeah.

5:45 No.

5:47 This does not seem very fruitful.

5:48 I'm not really hearing the rustling.

5:50 Yeah.

5:52 Okay.

5:52 Okay.

5:52 You wanna go back?

5:53 Let's abandon this.

5:56 I think we just...

5:57 Just keep going.

5:58 Yeah.

5:58 This way or that way?

5:59 I think, let's keep going this way.

6:00 We just need to find another pocket of monkeys.

6:03 What do you think about this?

6:05 Maybe.

6:07 Oh— Nah.

6:12 Anything?

6:12 No.

6:14 I don't wanna hear any rusting.

6:18 Thought I did.

6:20 It's like birds.

6:22 Okay.

6:26 Okay, no.

6:29 Feel like we need more of the bigger trees.

6:31 Yeah.

6:32 Maybe we shoulda stayed in that area.

6:34 We were seeing so many.

6:36 We're hitting a bit of a monkey dry spell.

6:38 Oh, I see monkeys.

6:40 Oh, is it just an outdoor zoo?

6:42 Free zoo in the park?

6:43 Maybe this is the free section of the zoo.

6:45 Yeah.

6:46 How do the monkeys not get out?

6:48 Oh, maybe that's the entrance.

6:50 Okay.

6:51 Here, I'll film you.

6:53 So our challenge.

6:55 Drum roll, please.

6:58 Catch an animal eating.

7:05 Catch an animal eating.

7:06 Welcome to Hsinchu Zoo.

7:08 Within 20 minutes of entering the zoo, get footage of an animal eating.

7:12 You may not feed the animal yourself,

7:13 0and may not consult any online feeding schedules.

7:16 If you do not find any eating animal within 20 minutes,

7:19 this challenge is failed.

7:21 Okay.

7:22 We have a little bit of experience with that yesterday.

7:24 Yeah.

7:24 At the cat village.

7:25 So what I want to do is go to the Starbucks over there and film a human eating.

7:29 Like, that's in the zoo there.

7:31 There's people sitting at a table eating right there.

7:34 I would argue that we've completed the challenge right now.

7:38 The audience, however, would not accept that.

7:40 Because the audience, for some crazy reason,

7:42 does not think that animals are human.

7:44 Aren't humans animals?

7:46 Under any definition, humans are animals, right?

7:49 Humans are animals.

7:51 God damnit!

7:52 It's probably our oversight.

8:01 Audience believes we're looking for something different.

8:02 Yeah.

8:03 Which is fair.

8:04 I do understand it.

8:06 Alright, before we go in, let's strategize.

8:08 I'm kind of feeling like big animals that munch on...

8:13 Like vegetarian animals.

8:13 Like leaves.

8:14 Yeah.

8:14 Panda?

8:15 Like llamas.

8:16 Yeah.

8:16 Sheep, goats.

8:18 Yeah, because they just munch on leaves constantly.

8:20 Constantly.

8:21 Do you wanna...

8:22 Something.

8:22 We'll speedwalk through?

8:23 Yeah.

8:24 Okay.

8:24 Alright.

8:25 Okay.

8:29 Oh, there's another monkey.

8:33 That's 10 right there.

8:35 Okay.

8:37 Oh, I heard rustling.

8:38 I heard rustling.

8:38 Yeah.

8:40 Up in the tree.

8:40 You see it?

8:41 No.

8:43 Oh, yep, yep.

8:45 11.

8:46 Okay, that's 11.

8:46 Okay.

8:47 Oh, baby.

8:49 Baby?

8:51 Okay, 12.

8:54 Okay, wait, wait, 13.

8:55 Two more.

8:56 Yep.

8:57 14, there.

8:59 You see those two?

9:00 Yep.

9:02 15 and 16.

9:05 Oh, we're doing great.

9:06 Definitely in a good monkey 16.

9:08 sort of zone.

9:10 16.

9:11 We've definitely entered the monkey zone.

9:14 Oh, oh, oh, 17.

9:18 17.

9:20 Can you get that one?

9:21 There's another one.

9:22 Okay.

9:22 17.

9:23 So this is 18, right?

9:25 Yeah, but I definitely hear ones in here.

9:27 That's 18.

9:29 We're now 18 minutes in with 18 monkeys.

9:32 We need to find another— Oh.

9:34 Oh, yep, yep.

9:35 There's two up there.

9:36 Nice.

9:38 One, two.

9:40 Okay, so that puts us at 20.

9:41 Oh, oh.

9:42 There's two babies.

9:44 Yes.

9:46 Double babies.

9:47 Yep.

9:48 Two babies.

9:49 That's 22.

9:50 Oh, oh, I think that's another one.

9:52 Yeah, yeah.

9:53 There's a third baby.

9:55 Okay.

9:57 Okay, 23, Ben, 23.

10:10 You're just gonna be a lot— You're a lot better at this than I am, so...

10:13 I'm mostly kind of trusting your eye.

10:22 Seems like this.

10:24 Is that— No, actually wait.

10:26 Shoushan open air viewing platform.

10:29 It's honestly kinda hard to tell which way's gonna be better.

10:31 This way's closer to the monkey rocks.

10:33 I think this way's gonna be better.

10:37 Okay.

10:37 We got 15 minutes left, Ben.

10:39 Okay.

10:41 We just need another really good...

10:42 I know.

10:43 pocket of monkeys.

10:44 We need 17 more monkeys.

10:47 It's honestly crazy how close this might turn out.

10:49 Okay.

10:50 Let's start and then look at the map.

10:52 Not monkeys.

10:53 Alright, ready to start?

10:54 Grazing animals.

10:55 Yes.

10:55 Serengeti, Serengeti.

10:57 Hippo, pony, deer.

10:58 I feel good about those.

10:59 Yes.

11:00 I think they're...

11:01 far corner?

11:02 Not bears, not tigers.

11:05 So let's go to the far corner.

11:06 Yeah.

11:06 Okay, so we follow this way.

11:07 Okay, let's go.

11:09 Hold it, right here.

11:10 Horse eating!

11:10 Right there!

11:11 Are you kidding me?

11:12 I'm not kidding.

11:13 Right away.

11:14 (both giggle) Oh my god.

11:16 Ah!

11:18 Look at that.

11:18 They're eating.

11:19 He's eating right here.

11:23 Ohhh, yes!

11:26 Thank you!

11:26 Oh, that's a llama.

11:27 Thank you, llama!

11:28 Only took us 20 seconds.

11:30 (both laugh) Ohhh.

11:32 Sam, are we back?

11:37 Not fully.

11:38 We are back-er.

11:39 We're back-er, baby!

11:41 Ohh.

11:42 Ohh.

11:44 Thank you!

11:45 We just unlocked another challenge.

11:47 A new challenge on the map.

11:48 Yeah, let's generate that.

11:49 Ugh.

11:49 Oh no.

11:51 It's right down there.

11:52 So...

11:53 It's like worst possible location for us.

11:54 Yeah, that's not in our map quadrant.

11:56 This makes me think that it might be time to beeline it for Taipei.

11:59 I think so.

12:00 Get in the area of the Steal, and as they rack up all these chips,

12:04 collect as many stations as we can on the way.

12:07 Express would be good.

12:08 There's one in 26 minutes that we can try to get tickets for.

12:11 'Cause I think that would take us on a line

12:13 where we'd have to take some of theirs, but you know...

12:16 Well, that's even better.

12:18 Are we going a productive way?

12:20 I think so.

12:31 It's hard to tell what's gonna be better.

12:34 I think this is gonna be marginally better.

12:40 Oh my god.

12:42 Oh, it's a monkey drove.

12:44 Oh my god.

12:45 That's so many monkeys.

12:47 One, two, three, four, five, six...

12:49 How many monkeys is it?

12:50 Seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19...

12:58 That's enough, Ben.

13:02 The monkey bonanza of the century.

13:06 Oh my gosh.

13:08 (exhales) That is 80 chips.

13:12 Wow.

13:12 In the bank.

13:13 Wow.

13:15 Wow, wow, wow.

13:18 That's a lot of monkeys.

13:19 Okay, let's get the hell off Monkey Mountain.

13:21 Yeah.

13:22 Oh, they found— they got 80!

13:25 80?!

13:25 80 on call your shot.

13:27 Wow!

13:28 Good for them.

13:29 We went conservative.

13:30 They went big.

13:31 I mean, at least that's more that we

13:32 can steal from them later hopefully, but still.

13:35 What's the new challenge?

13:37 The new challenge is 110 chips.

13:39 Holy moly.

13:40 Yeah, it's up...

13:41 Where is it?

13:43 It's at the end of a mountain line.

13:45 This one is worth 110 coins?

13:47 Yeah, that one takes a really long time to get to, which I imagine is why...

13:51 Okay.

13:51 ...it's worth that much.

13:53 Does it change our calculations at all?

13:54 Honestly, I don't think so.

13:56 I think that...

13:57 The multiplier.

13:58 the multiplier is gonna be huge for us now.

14:05 Okay, well we made it off o' Monkey Mountain.

14:08 What are they up to?

14:10 Ooh, they got 55 chips at the Hsinchu Zoo.

14:14 Damn.

14:15 (bleep) Let's see what the next challenge is.

14:20 Alright.

14:21 It's a 50 chip challenge.

14:22 Yep.

14:23 Oh, it's close.

14:24 Oh!

14:24 It's close to us.

14:26 Nice.

14:27 I mean, theore— it's on the way to the multiplier.

14:29 Oh, it's even closer.

14:30 These are like two stations apart.

14:32 I think that we do this, right?

14:35 More chips to multiply.

14:36 Just push our chips up even more, and then we multiply.

14:39 We just gotta find something to spend the chips on.

14:42 Well, yeah, we can't just be sitting with an insane

14:44 balance when there are two Steals on the board,

14:46 one of which they're quite close to.

14:48 This means to me even more reason for us to start

14:52 fortifying this line on our way to the next stuff.

14:56 Yeah, I agree.

14:57 That's good if like...

14:59 we've kind of got Kaohsiung under our control.

15:01 It's not a great vibe for two white people to come to Taiwan

15:04 and talk about how they're taking parts of it under their control.

15:08 I'm sure they're delighted to have us be in charge of Kaohsiung.

15:12 We would do a great job.

15:14 Okay.

15:15 Back to it.

15:17 How many stations do we gotta go to get to this next challenge?

15:21 it's like 19, and I think we 2x them.

15:24 I feel good about 2x.

15:26 It's like, you know, we just throw down some sludge, you know?

15:30 Slow things down.

15:31 Throw down some what?

15:31 Some sludge.

15:33 Oh, some sludge.

15:34 That's a way to sort of think about.

15:35 Yeah, dude.

15:36 Is like, oh, they can't go through there.

15:39 There's some sludge.

15:40 Shoot man, there's sludge there.

15:42 I really am worried about...

15:44 Yeah, look.

15:44 Can we check where they are?

15:45 Are they on their way to Taipei?

15:46 'Cause I'm worried they might be.

15:47 All we gotta do is we gotta keep an eye on them.

15:49 Back to the station quickly.

15:51 And hopefully we can catch our express train.

15:54 I think it's probably worth it,

15:55 knowing that if they're going to the multiple right now,

15:57 they're gonna beat us regardless.

15:59 Right.

16:00 So as opposed to doing high-speed train, which then,

16:03 we would miss all the stations in the middle,

16:04 it's definitely worth flipping the stations, yeah.

16:06 But it could get us there faster.

16:07 Yes.

16:08 These are the decisions that will matter.

16:11 Oh yeah.

16:11 It's just hard to know what was right in the moment.

16:13 No, we are into the game now.

16:15 The audience will tell us in the comments.

16:16 They'll— yeah.

16:17 We (bleep) up and they'll tell us how we were wrong in the moment.

16:19 Well, we're about to find out in the next

16:21 four minutes of how we screwed up probably.

16:23 Yeah.

16:27 Nah, they're still at the station.

16:28 We don't know which way they're going yet.

16:30 Okay.

16:32 So we transfer twice, three stops here.

16:36 Then we transfer to the limited express, then we transfer again.

16:39 Okay.

16:40 But it's all very efficient transfers.

16:52 Ben, I have some bad news...

16:54 which is that I just realized...

16:57 that the train that we're supposed to get on is a limited express,

16:59 which we need a reservation for.

17:00 It leaves in six minutes.

17:02 I actually don't even know if you can get a reservation six minutes before.

17:05 But we're gonna go to a counter and try.

17:07 Okay.

17:07 We need to find a ticket counter.

17:09 Probably out here.

17:10 Over this way.

17:17 Oh, I was getting worried.

17:18 I was worried it was jammed.

17:20 (hoots) Alright, take the camera.

17:21 Pray for a seat reservation.

17:23 Hello.

17:24 Hi.

17:24 Can we get two seat reservations for this train?

17:28 I do not think our odds are good actually.

17:30 Let's start looking at other options if we can't get on this train.

17:34 There's a fast local train at 1:26.

17:37 Okay.

17:37 So we would lose about 40 minutes.

17:40 I'm great.

17:41 Ni hao.

17:42 We wanna book a limited express.

17:46 (indistinct) Come on, dawg.

17:50 Come on, dawg.

17:51 Oh, sorry.

17:52 It's sold out.

17:53 All sold out.

17:54 Oh.

17:55 Any standing room?

17:56 No, no standing.

17:57 Sold out.

17:59 He's still doing it.

18:01 Okay, okay.

18:02 Okay.

18:02 Xiexie.

18:03 Xiexie.

18:04 Okay, let's go.

18:04 Hell yeah, dude.

18:05 That's platform 1A.

18:10 Okay.

18:10 Platform 1A.

18:12 Three minutes.

18:13 (bleep bleep bleep bleep) (beep) Here we go.

18:16 1...

18:17 1A.

18:31 Okay.

18:33 I will say, them letting you reserve a seat three minutes before a train leaves.

18:37 That's an advanced technology.

18:39 That's crazy.

18:49 When's the next one?

18:50 We are sold out.

18:50 1:09?

18:51 1:09.

18:51 It's only 20 minutes later.

18:53 So let's at least get the things.

18:54 Yeah, we can just decide.

18:56 Thank you.

18:57 Thank you.

18:58 Okay, so no seats.

19:00 These train are just packed.

19:01 Yeah.

19:01 But we'd have to wait until 1:09 to take that.

19:05 Is that worth it?

19:06 You're saying the other option is go

19:08 to the other station and take the high-speed rail?

19:10 Yes, but— And not flip the stations on the way.

19:13 Yes.

19:13 And we would need to decide right, right now.

19:16 I think we should flip the stations.

19:19 We wanna have as many stations as possible.

19:20 Sure, they can flip it, but it makes it twice as expensive.

19:23 30 minutes to flip a bunch of stations.

19:25 'Cause that's a two-point swing.

19:27 Yes.

19:27 Because they lose them.

19:29 And we sort of start to build the north as our zone.

19:33 Yes.

19:33 And I think that might be how we shape up,

19:35 is the north as ours, the south is theirs.

19:37 And there is potentially a scenario in which then

19:39 gaining more of a balance before we steal, is good.

19:42 Yep.

19:43 I think it's worth it for 35-minute difference.

19:46 Yeah.

19:46 Okay.

19:47 Let's do that.

19:50 This is an advertisement for...

19:52 Waatr Baatl.

19:53 The cool thing about Waatr Baatl is that you

19:56 don't have to pay people money to get water.

19:58 Because you can just...

20:00 see?

20:00 Look how it fills.

20:01 Ah.

20:01 It puts the water in the bottle so you don't have to pay people money for water.

20:05 You too could have free water by paying money.

20:08 All you have to do is pay us money, and then you can have free water.

20:18 Please mind the gap.

20:20 This is a great standing room.

20:22 Look, you can...

20:24 ...see down to the tracks.

20:26 Awesome.

20:28 Don't drop it.

20:55 They were waiting around at Hsinchu for quite a while.

20:58 They're on the move.

20:59 They've finally left.

21:00 What are they doing?

21:01 It's the low-speed.

21:02 Look.

21:02 Oh, they're taking our territory, these bastards.

21:06 It's gonna cost them, but that is annoying.

21:09 Yeah, but that flips, I mean that flips a lot.

21:11 I mean, that's what, 18 stations or something.

21:14 And it's— you gotta keep in mind.

21:15 It's a two-point swing for every one that they flip.

21:17 Right, right.

21:18 I think that's actually gonna put them in the lead.

21:20 That hoits.

21:21 Oh, that hoits.

21:23 It's okay.

21:23 We're gonna flip it all back.

21:25 Oh, of course.

21:31 And this also, Ben, means that they are headed to Taipei, where the Steal is.

21:36 So things could be about to get very, very dicey.

21:43 You know, it really is a good reminder that having

21:46 a station is— does not mean (laughs) that it will stay yours.

21:49 These stations aren't loyal at all.

21:51 We paid them a whole chip to be in our territory, and they said, "You know,

21:57 this is good until someone comes along with two chips."

22:00 I'll tell you that it makes me more interested in like,

22:02 we should be fortifying more.

22:04 What do you think about if we started putting down five right now?

22:07 I mean, we're only gonna hit two stations on the way to the next challenge,

22:11 but I think we should still.

22:12 Hopefully we can get on another train after this challenge.

22:17 And keep shedding.

22:18 and keep dropping chips before they are able to do the Steal.

22:23 'cause also, again, I will say.

22:25 They could fail it.

22:27 They could.

22:28 Hey, they could.

22:29 The Steals are designed to be very difficult.

22:32 Ohhh.

22:34 I'm starting to get nor-bus.

22:51 Alright, Mike, I have a...

22:53 collection of bad news.

22:55 Okay?

22:57 Thing number one: The train's delayed.

23:00 Okay.

23:01 And I checked.

23:02 There must be an issue with the line, because...

23:04 all the trains outta this station are stopped.

23:07 They're all stopping here.

23:09 We're just stuck, and they're putting down fives.

23:11 Are we getting Deutsche Bahn'd in Taiwan?

23:14 I don't think we're there yet.

23:15 I don't think we're there yet.

23:17 But this could be the start.

23:20 Oh, oh?

23:21 We gonna open this door?

23:25 I don't know why people are getting off.

23:28 That's not a good sign.

23:30 Where will you go?

23:31 We are trying to go to Taipei.

23:32 Oh, okay.

23:33 Okay, it's delayed?

23:34 Yes.

23:35 Yeah.

23:35 Thank you.

23:36 Do you know how long?

23:38 I don't know.

23:38 No.

23:39 No one know that.

23:40 Okay.

23:40 Okay.

23:40 It's not normally.

23:42 Yeah.

23:43 Not normally delayed.

23:44 Just a Jet Lag special.

23:45 Yeah.

24:00 Alright, Ben, we got 25 minutes to do this challenge and get back.

24:05 Okay.

24:05 Seven minutes away.

24:07 So not a lot of time.

24:18 Little speed walk.

24:20 It's a Jet Lag classic.

24:21 I mean, we have...

24:23 That Monkey Mountain really got me.

24:24 Yeah, the Monkey Mountain.

24:26 I think running is really not on the menu, post-Monkey Mountain.

24:29 Ugh.

24:29 Ben, I will point something out to you.

24:32 They have been stopped for quite a while.

24:34 Okay, that's good.

24:35 I think that their train might be delayed or something.

24:37 Anything that can slow 'em down from getting to that Steal is...

24:40 Yeah.

24:40 ...fine by me.

24:42 Doors are closing.

24:44 That's good— Don't celebrate yet.

24:46 Don't celebrate yet.

24:47 Don't tempt fate.

24:48 (exhales stiffly) Come on, come on, come on.

24:55 Come on.

24:56 Why are the doors closed...

24:58 but then we no go?

24:59 You tempted fate.

25:00 (wheezes) Fate was happening.

25:03 No.

25:03 I didn't tempt it.

25:05 You need to— You clearly don't have enough Jet Lag experience.

25:07 I have no chill, Sam.

25:10 It's not moving.

25:11 Still.

25:12 I think I see what looks like a...

25:14 Yeah, I think...

25:15 ...challenge location.

25:16 That looks like it's where we're headed.

25:21 Yeah.

25:22 It is at the rainbow steps, Benjamin.

25:24 Fabulous.

25:25 Okay.

25:25 Are ye ready?

25:26 I know what our challenge is.

25:28 I am.

25:28 Got our envelope right here.

25:30 Our challenge is: Demonstrate synesthesia.

25:39 Demonstrate synesthesia.

25:40 For the purposes of this game,

25:42 each step on the rainbow steps will represent a different color.

25:45 The bottom blue step will represent light blue,

25:47 the middle will represent medium blue,

25:49 the top will represent dark blue, and so on.

25:51 One team member will be given a number of color assignments.

25:54 For each, they have 30 seconds to think of one

25:57 word to convey the right color to their partner.

25:59 Their partner must go to the right step to put in their guess.

26:02 They must successfully get five of seven correct, or the challenge is failed.

26:07 Who wants to be who?

26:08 I feel like your brain works faster than my brain.

26:12 Maybe.

26:13 I feel like you're gonna come up with better words.

26:16 Okay.

26:16 I can try it.

26:17 I'm really scared.

26:18 Ready, Ben?

26:19 I'm ready.

26:21 Okay.

26:25 Dijon.

26:27 To me, this...

26:30 this mustard...

26:32 ...would be dark yellow.

26:34 Ben, that is correct.

26:36 Yeah!

26:37 Next one is...

26:39 uhm...

26:47 aahh...

26:48 Or— let's— come on.

26:50 Be so for real right now.

26:51 Oh—!

26:51 Oh, come on.

26:52 That's it.

26:52 There we go.

26:53 That's it.

26:54 There we go.

26:55 That's it.

26:56 (sighs loudly) Here we go.

26:59 Alright, well...

27:00 That was...

27:01 a delay.

27:01 I think that was about 30 minutes.

27:03 Just enough time for them to accumulate more chips before we steal 'em.

27:09 Yeeaaah.

27:21 ...Mint.

27:22 A mint leaf is dark green.

27:26 But like the flavor, I feel like is most often associated with light green.

27:31 It's kind of a toss-up in terms of what you mean, but I'm gonna go light green.

27:36 Ben, that is correct.

27:37 Okay, great.

27:38 Sorry, I knew that was a problem with mint,

27:40 but I couldn't think of anything better.

27:42 No, it's okay.

27:43 Okay.

27:44 Mmh.

27:45 Aah.

27:46 Ocean.

27:48 Ocean.

27:49 Like in my mind, I imagine oceans as being like dark blue,

27:54 but I also think that...

27:56 there's a lot of things that are dark blue.

27:59 And you— oceans could ostensibly be medium blue.

28:03 And that's a lot harder to think of a word for.

28:06 So maybe this is— maybe I'm overthinking it.

28:07 But I'm going medium blue.

28:10 And you nailed my exact thought process.

28:13 (laughs) (laughs) Yes!

28:14 Okay.

28:16 A peach.

28:18 Peach.

28:18 Peaches would pretty reliably be in the sort of pink family.

28:23 So I'm going light red.

28:25 Light red is correct.

28:26 Okay, we only need one more, and we have three more tries.

28:30 We're doing really good.

28:31 Our brains are linked up.

28:32 Sprout, Sprout.

28:34 Sprout.

28:35 To me, if I'm imagining a sprout, like if I imagine a sprout emoji,

28:39 I think that's just pretty middle-of-the-road...

28:43 green.

28:44 So I'm going medium green.

28:46 It was light green again.

28:48 Agh!

28:48 But I couldn't reuse the word.

28:50 Yeah.

28:50 Okay, we just gotta get one of these next two.

28:53 (sighs) Uhm...

28:57 Lemon.

28:58 I suppose a lemon could really fall into any of the three yellows, but again,

29:02 if I'm imagining a really classic lemon,

29:04 that is just, it's basically this color.

29:07 It is medium yellow?

29:09 Medium yellow.

29:10 Let's go!

29:11 Alright.

29:14 Let's go.

29:14 Let's get outta here.

29:15 Let's go.

29:15 We gotta get back to the station.

29:16 And get to that multiplier before they can get our asses.

29:19 Alright, let's kick it.

29:20 We got eight minutes.

29:21 And it's a seven minute walk.

29:22 Okay, beautiful.

29:37 We've been at this station a while too.

29:39 Yeah, that— so that's news number one.

29:42 We've been waiting at this station for a little while.

29:45 We just got news from Adam.

29:46 Ugh.

29:47 They earned 50 that fast?

29:50 They earned 50 chips and have unlocked— They just got there.

29:54 I mean, in fairness, we just did that, but they did it, so it's bad.

29:57 Yes.

29:58 It does bring up a new challenge on the board.

30:00 Yeah, let's check.

30:01 (bleep) -ing hell.

30:03 Is it near them?

30:04 It's near them.

30:04 Oh my gosh.

30:05 It's so near them!

30:07 I mean, that Steal is literally exactly where they are now, I think.

30:10 Oh god.

30:12 Oh my god.

30:13 It's like right there.

30:14 Right where?

30:16 We might wanna get off.

30:17 Here, wait, take this.

30:19 We could take the metro to it from here.

30:21 Let's go.

30:21 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

30:22 Let me double check this.

30:34 I cannot believe that Steal.

30:36 I mean, they are just outside of Taoyuan Station.

30:42 It feels pretty singly inevitable that they

30:46 are going to steal some of our coins.

30:48 Let's go steal their coins.

30:50 'Cause this trains are moving.

30:51 No.

30:52 Who knows how long we'll be here?

30:53 It's a 17-minute walk, and then it's like a 15-minute train.

30:56 Let's go.

30:58 Do we do it?

30:58 Yeah.

30:58 Yeah.

30:59 Okay.

31:01 I think this makes sense.

31:02 'Cause I think what this can do maybe is take enough balance from them...

31:07 to stop them from going...

31:09 Oh yes.

31:10 We'll slow their movements.

31:11 Up the east coast.

31:13 Yeah.

31:13 Which I think we want.

31:15 Of course we do.

31:18 Nice.

31:19 This is pretty.

31:20 Okay.

31:21 Classic Jet Lag chaos.

31:23 If we hadn't been delayed, we would've been past this point,

31:25 and we wouldn't have come back and done this.

31:27 Yeah.

31:27 We were literally at the station that transfers to the line...

31:31 Yeah.

31:32 to get to this challenge in like 30 minutes.

31:35 You see?

31:36 Sometimes bad luck is good luck?

31:39 Sometimes.

31:40 Or it's just Jet Lag game flips all the time.

31:44 It really does.

31:58 Where are they?

31:58 I think they might still be stopped.

32:00 No, they got off the train.

32:02 I wonder if they're transferring to like

32:04 a metro or something to get to that Steal.

32:06 That must be what they're doing.

32:08 Yeah.

32:08 So our next stop on this route, we're gonna go for the multiplier.

32:12 Is there any argument to be made that we shouldn't do it?

32:15 Because it will give them more?

32:17 No, because here's the thing.

32:19 The Steal would give them half of our chips.

32:21 And I would say that there's about a 50% chance that they succeed.

32:25 So our expected value on these chips right now, Right.

32:28 is still 75%.

32:30 I think we just have to really hope that they fail.

32:33 Things are getting dicey, I would say.

32:35 It's exciting at least.

32:36 And is— I hope— Is it— Are you having fun on this?

32:39 Are you having fun watching the show?

32:41 I hope you're enjoying the show.

32:43 I hope you're enjoying watching us get really stressed out on the show.

32:46 I feel like things were a little too chill for a while.

32:48 But you know, it doesn't have to be stressful for you.

32:50 You could pause, go get some popcorn.

32:52 Hey, get a little bit of popcorn.

32:53 You know, a little bathroom break.

32:54 A refreshing beverage.

32:55 Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

32:57 And just really take it at your speed.

32:59 We can't take it at our speed.

33:01 We have to just surge— No, our speed has to be very fast.

33:03 Our speed has to be the highest.

33:05 Very, very cute street.

33:08 Taiwan's been great.

33:10 Clean, safe, colorful.

33:13 Tasty and delicious so far.

33:15 So tasty.

33:17 Okay, we'll enter this up here.

33:19 Take the train towards Taipei Main Station.

33:22 But we're only going four stops.

33:24 Oh, I hope it's an easy Steal.

33:26 This would be juicy.

33:27 (laughs heartily) We— I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself.

33:31 This could be the single highest...

33:33 coins haul...

33:34 Yeah, earned.

33:35 That we get.

33:35 That'd be like 60+.

33:37 And you have to keep in mind that you really have to consider it twice that.

33:40 Since they lose...

33:41 Exactly.

33:42 It'd be like 120.

33:46 Could be time.

33:48 Could be the move.

33:49 Challenge hat mode.

33:51 Uh-oh.

33:52 Now he means business.

33:55 So you never know what's— where we're gonna be next in Jet Lag.

33:58 I like the purple.

33:59 The lilac is...

34:01 It's very soothing.

34:02 It's very calming.

34:02 But I don't wanna be soothed.

34:03 I don't wanna take like smelling salts around.

34:05 You wanna get ramped up, yeah.

34:06 Yeah.

34:07 We want...

34:07 red train.

34:08 We really— I really should pack smelling salts for one season.

34:13 Sure.

34:13 (wheezes) You don't use those for hockey?

34:16 No?

34:16 Really?

34:18 I get angry enough just wanting to win.

34:20 Okay, fair enough, yeah.

34:40 This challenge, whatever it is, is at the station.

34:44 Let's go find out what it is.

34:55 This is interesting.

34:56 It's like it's pear themed.

34:58 We've been seeing a lot of pears.

34:59 Pear, pear, there's pears over there.

35:02 It's a giant train.

35:04 Challenge is...

35:08 Become a spin-top champion.

35:11 Hmm.

35:16 Become a spin-top champion.

35:18 Taiwan has a long history of competitive top-spinning.

35:21 You must construct your own spin-top using any materials you can find,

35:25 and get the top to spin on its own for at least 30 seconds.

35:28 You cannot use anything that would already be considered a spin-top.

35:32 You may practice spinning your top for up to five seconds,

35:34 but you only get one official attempt.

35:37 If the top doesn't spin for at least 30 seconds, this challenge is failed.

35:42 This is...

35:43 I reckon that we can...

35:46 probably do that.

35:48 It feels— If we can gather the right materials.

35:51 Well, we just need some stuff.

35:53 Yeah.

35:53 There's a store right here.

35:56 So it looks like a store with stuff.

35:57 Okay.

35:57 We can go in there.

36:02 Okay, well frustratingly, they do have actual spin-tops,

36:05 which we are not allowed to use.

36:07 I mean, the yo-yo is interesting.

36:10 Yeah.

36:10 I feel like we want something to have like a point to spin on.

36:14 This is kind of interesting.

36:15 This...

36:18 That's closer.

36:20 Right?

36:21 That's— That could spin.

36:23 Like this is maybe even a little more pointed.

36:26 That egg, yeah.

36:27 There's hardware stuff over here.

36:28 We should go check it out.

36:29 Lots of good objects here.

36:33 Could it be as simple as just, find a disc like this?

36:36 Yeah.

36:37 Push a pin through it.

36:38 Like a thumbtack, right?

36:40 If we pushed a thumbtack through it.

36:42 And then...

36:43 Then just turn, spin it.

36:45 This disc is interesting to me.

36:47 This disc intrigues you?

36:48 Let's buy this, these.

36:51 Let's just start here and see what we can do.

36:57 Alright, let's film where there are not a lot of children.

37:00 I think, it looked like there was...

37:02 some spots toward the back.

37:03 Area back there.

37:19 Alright, we wanna be quick, because we wanna be...

37:21 we wanna take a train outta here.

37:23 If we can get a train in about 45 minutes, I checked...

37:26 Yeah.

37:26 We can get to Taipei with an hour left in the day.

37:29 If we miss that train...

37:31 I don't— I doubt we have enough time based on the next frequency.

37:33 We won't make it, okay.

37:34 Can we drop our bags here?

37:36 Yeah.

37:39 Alright, let's go.

37:41 Go fast.

37:42 We can move.

37:45 If we fail the Steal...

37:47 Yeah.

37:47 It still stays on the map, and it still goes up by 50%.

37:50 Ooh.

37:51 So like...

37:52 a failed Steal is dangerous!

37:54 So we really wanna get this right.

37:56 Yeah.

37:56 So it's like...

37:57 this is true, true lock in time.

38:01 The hat is on backwards.

38:03 I am locked in.

38:04 Where are we?

38:06 Like an outdoor mall.

38:07 So busy!

38:08 Okay, this bridge is the spot.

38:10 There you go, Sam.

38:12 Okay.

38:15 Complete a jellyfish census.

38:21 Complete a jellyfish census.

38:23 Go to the Jellyfish Room at Xpark Aquarium.

38:26 One at a time, each team member will enter the Jellyfish Room

38:28 and have 15 minutes to count the total number of jellies in the room.

38:32 No collusion or discussion about counting methods is permitted.

38:35 Once both team members have their estimates, compare your answers.

38:38 If the estimates are not within 25% of one another, this challenge is failed.

38:43 So now we have to find an aquarium.

38:45 Yeah, it's in here.

38:46 It's on this side.

38:47 We've gone from an outdoor mall to a food court.

38:49 Where the (bleep) is this?

38:50 Xpark, to the left?

38:52 Here, here, here.

38:53 I fear there's gonna be a lot.

38:55 There's gonna be a lot of— It's gonna be busy.

38:57 This is— I'm really worried about failing this, because this is...

39:01 This— It leaves the door wide open for Ben and Adam.

39:03 And it's totally a failable one.

39:05 Hi.

39:05 Can we get two adult tickets?

39:07 Two adults?

39:07 Yeah.

39:08 This would be a good place to spin.

39:11 We can sit here.

39:12 It'd be good to spin on the pear?

39:13 Yeah.

39:14 Alright, so...

39:16 We've got some lovely objects here.

39:17 We don't know exactly what all of them are.

39:20 This disc interests me.

39:23 But it's not stable, right?

39:24 But I think if we could modify it...

39:26 If it had a point.

39:27 ...to be stable.

39:28 And so what I'm thinking is...

39:29 If you push a pin through.

39:30 If we do the— push pins through it, then that is, that's a damn top.

39:35 Basically.

39:36 Something approximating one at least.

39:41 We just need to break through this.

39:43 This plastic is shockingly strong.

39:47 Now it's through.

39:49 Well...

39:50 What the (bleep) -ing— Oh, did it break?

39:52 Wait, but wait.

39:53 Maybe that's good.

39:53 Wait.

39:54 Oh (bleep)!

39:56 Maybe it's perfect.

39:58 Oh my god, Ben, maybe we just did it.

40:00 I— It was done by accident,

40:01 but we stuck that in there and then we broke this off.

40:06 Two, three, four, five.

40:09 It's a little unstable.

40:10 Let me see if I started it from the bottom.

40:13 One, two.

40:14 Oh, that's nice.

40:15 Three.

40:16 Yeah.

40:16 Four, five.

40:18 That's nice.

40:19 It's got a real space age look to it.

40:22 Real low to the ground.

40:24 Are they at the location of the Steal yet, by the way?

40:28 Let's look.

40:29 It looks like they're at the site of the Steal.

40:31 Well, here's hoping they blow it.

40:40 That's an impressive tank.

40:41 This not the first time I've speedrun an aquarium on Jet Lag.

40:44 Half of the challenge is getting out of this fricking maze.

40:47 Do a flip.

40:48 Do a flip.

40:50 Sam, sharks!

40:50 Trying to get outta here.

40:52 This is kind of like the worst nightmare.

40:54 We need to find these fricking jellyfish.

40:57 I don't know if we have the time.

40:58 Well, as in to make that train.

41:00 Oh.

41:00 Focus on this first.

41:02 Focus on this.

41:03 We need to give this the best shot.

41:04 Yeah, let's not stress about that train anymore.

41:07 No.

41:07 Just do this properly.

41:09 Yeah.

41:09 And then we'll make it if we make it.

41:18 Cool.

41:19 It's dinner.

41:20 We're under a crab.

41:22 Sea of fluid jellyfish.

41:24 Okay, we're here.

41:25 We've made it.

41:26 Oh my gosh!

41:27 This is it.

41:28 Okay.

41:29 Who wants to go first?

41:30 I can go.

41:31 Okay, you go.

41:32 Okay, 15 minutes?

41:35 Here we go.

41:36 Oh my gosh.

41:37 This is crazy.

41:39 We have one tank, two tanks, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.

41:46 They look to all have the same amount.

41:51 Okay.

41:52 This is crazy.

41:53 This is crazy!

41:54 The warped glass makes it so hard.

41:57 (mutters) Two, three, four, five, six...

42:02 (mutters) Six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven...

42:05 I think I counted...

42:08 ...125 in this one.

42:10 The problem is the spherical...

42:12 the 3D, I can't tell depth.

42:15 One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

42:19 I think this has about 100.

42:22 And the other one had about 100 to 125.

42:25 The way it curves!

42:27 It warps and they disappear and then reappear.

42:30 I feel like I'm going cross-eyed.

42:32 I think it's this.

42:33 I think I gotta grab it by this.

42:35 I think, yeah, the nub, yeah.

42:36 (bleep) You know, just nice and easy.

42:42 I mean, here's the thing though.

42:44 In a world where we do it now and we succeed, we get 61 chips, we go up to 199.

42:50 Then if they succeed, then they would steal 89 chips from us, putting us at 109.

42:54 If we waited...?

42:56 I think we end up at 109 either way, maybe?

42:58 Because it's just multiplied, right?

43:02 You're looking at me like I know math.

43:03 Because if that's the truth, then we should wait.

43:05 'Cause they would get less?

43:07 Yeah.

43:07 We should wait.

43:09 We just have to make sure that we do this before we get on our next train.

43:13 Yeah.

43:13 Well, they're still at the aquarium,

43:15 but the next train headed east out of here is leaving in...

43:19 In like 10 minutes.

43:20 10 minutes, so...

43:21 I wanna wait until the last second to do this.

43:24 Okay.

43:24 So I think let's just wait in the station.

43:27 Oh look, maybe we can do it here next to this cool guy.

43:30 What is this guy?

43:31 They have this little mascot around here.

43:33 He loves pears.

43:35 Yeah, they love pears here, I guess.

43:44 Okay.

43:45 I think I'm just gonna pick a number.

43:46 They all look like they're about the same.

43:49 They all have about the same number of jellyfish.

43:54 About the same.

43:56 This one, they're just bigger.

43:58 I don't think they have more.

44:00 I've gotten basically between 100 and 125 jellyfish per tank.

44:05 Nine tanks times 125 jellyfish...

44:09 ...gives me a total of 1,125.

44:12 Plus or minus 25%, like 800 to 1,400.

44:18 So, do I just say 1,125?

44:21 Or would he guess I've done 100 x 9 tanks, which is 900.

44:26 So it'd be on the lower end, but...

44:27 but maybe I should go a little lower.

44:29 1,100.

44:32 Locking in my guess.

44:35 1,100 jellyfish in this room across the nine tanks.

44:44 Okay.

44:44 Should I go?

44:45 So I'll hand you the camera.

44:46 Alright.

44:46 Good luck.

44:47 Thank you.

44:48 Okay, here we go.

44:49 Here we go.

44:50 Eight of these cylinder tanks, and then this big circle tank.

44:54 They look like they have the same amount.

44:55 Okay, I'm gonna start by trying to get a count here.

44:58 One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

45:01 (mutters) Seven, eight...

45:02 Okay.

45:03 These guys over here, I kind of think they have roughly the same number.

45:07 So I think that could average the balance maybe?

45:12 Got a similar count.

45:14 At least with my method, which is far from accurate.

45:19 I'm liking the consistency,

45:20 but I worry that could just be like mental bias with my counting methods.

45:27 I'm still getting it.

45:29 I think this is it.

45:30 I think the logic is just that there's a fixed number per tank,

45:35 because it's the same for every tank.

45:36 And that may or may not be true,

45:37 but I at least hope that he had the same chain of logic.

45:41 'Cause that's what matters.

45:42 Accuracy doesn't matter.

45:42 It's the chain of logic.

45:45 Does he think the same way that I think?

45:51 I've never been so anxious.

45:52 I feel like a dad standing inside a hospital waiting for his baby to be born.

45:57 This is my guess.

45:58 So that's the +25, and the low below 25%.

46:02 So we've got our numbers.

46:04 My guess is...

46:09 ...900.

46:11 Yeah!

46:11 We're good!

46:13 We got it?

46:17 Oh my god.

46:18 (laughs excitedly) We got it!

46:20 (laughs) I'm so happy about that one.

46:24 Oh my god.

46:25 I forgot it's a Steal!

46:26 We got a Steal!

46:30 How are you feeling about your chances?

46:32 I feel okay.

46:33 Oh?

46:34 Oh?

46:34 Sam has sent a message with invisible ink.

46:36 The Steal was successful, but we waited.

46:38 That is still really bad though.

46:40 (laughs) That is in fact devastating.

46:43 I feel like I sort of didn't react to how bad

46:45 it was just 'cause I was excited that it happened now.

46:48 'Cause we have 137 chips, which means that they have now taken 61 of them.

46:55 So this is a 122 chip swing.

46:59 So I'd say this is pretty...

47:02 pretty really bad.

47:03 This is not a good way to end our day.

47:05 (both snicker) Caption+ by JS* caption.plus| @caption_plus Alright.

47:09 How d'you like them jellyfish, boys?

47:12 I just took all your chips.

47:13 Yeah, it's a tough one.

47:14 And if you want to see what happens with me and Michael having all them chips...

47:19 you can watch the next episode right now on Nebula.

47:21 Because then, the full implications of the...

47:25 juicy, juicy...

47:27 Yeah, yeah.

47:28 coin steal...

47:28 becomes clear.

47:30 Not really juicy.

47:31 More like jelly.

47:32 (group muttering overlaps) I bet you're jelly that...

47:35 I am pretty jelly.

47:36 I got all your chips.

47:37 But you know what all of you should be jelly of?

47:41 Tom Scott.

47:42 Yeah.

47:42 Because Tom Scott is back,

47:44 and he is doing a series where he goes to every county in England,

47:48 and he is putting every episode of that up one week early on Nebula.

47:53 So not only huge news– Tom Scott back– secondary huge news.

47:57 He's popping right into the Jet Lag model.

48:00 Every episode will be up early on Nebula.

48:03 And I mean, look, to go earnest mode for just a brief moment, all three of us...

48:07 huge Tom Scott fans.

48:09 Legit, very loyal viewers of this stuff.

48:12 I love learning about elevators.

48:14 Have been missing him quite a bit on YouTube since he retired.

48:19 Very excited that he's back.

48:21 Very excited to watch this new series.

48:23 Pretty genuinely pumped up that it'll be on Nebula.

48:26 Between Jet Lag and Tom Scott, that's two cumulative weeks of early...

48:32 That's true.

48:32 You can— That's math.

48:34 That's how time works.

48:35 Mhm, can't argue against that.

48:36 So go watch the new episode of Jet Lag.

48:39 Go watch Tom Scott's new show.

48:40 Go watch any of the other fabulous projects that we have on Nebula.

48:44 I mean, we have made other documentaries.

48:46 We've made other game shows.

48:47 We of course put out the Layover podcast every week,

48:50 where we break down, you know, each episode of of our show.

48:53 It's a great deal.

48:54 You can sign up at nebula.tv/jetlag to get 50% off an annual subscription,

49:02 bringing it down to just $30 a year, which is not that many dollars.

49:06 I told someone about that, and they screamed.

49:11 I believe you, Ben.

49:12 That sounds like that happened.

49:14 'Cause it's a screamin' deal.

49:16 So go sign up at the link, or click this thing and...

49:21 And if you do, we thank you because that's how we make the show.

49:25 This is a perfect call to action, you guys.

49:27 Just smooth.

49:27 nebula.tv/jetlag!

49:29 50% off an annual subscription.
