Bravo
0:00 Dolls are like epic.
0:01 There's some sort of magic that they're giving back to us.
0:04 imagination.
0:04 That's why they're like da da da da da da da da da.
0:06 Coming up on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island after show.
0:09 My father left us homeless.
0:11 You would never Homeless.
0:15 I said it.
0:15 I felt embarrassed about something that like it was
0:18 like very hard for me to even open up about.
0:20 There was a standstill with [music] my ex.
0:22 It lasted 10 years, so.
0:23 He'd be like, "Oh, I'm going away." And then
0:25 I'd find out there was also somebody else.
0:28 Isn't that kind of him cheating?
0:30 He's so He's hurt things.
0:33 Why don't I have that?
0:34 It's definitely an unusual arrangement.
0:38 [snorts]
0:37 I put my youth [music] into like my 20s.
0:39 I put my perkiest boobs into this relationship.
0:42 Everybody take that down cuz they're going to sit next to us, okay?
0:45 If she had trauma with those dolls, I don't want them in my house.
0:47 They really have a vibe.
0:49 And they all look at us and they all talk sh- You know that, right?
0:54 The Real Housewives of Rhode Island after show starts right now.
1:00 We're staying in a castle.
1:02 And I'm like, "How awesome would that be to have a tea party with these dolls?"
1:05 Not to play with.
1:06 There's like a vibe that each porcelain doll like has
1:09 their own friend that can like be our vibe friends.
1:12 Because they really have a vibe.
1:14 No, really, they do.
1:15 That's why people like for years dolls are like epic.
1:18 Okay, so let me introduce you to the
1:20 Everybody take that down cuz they're going to sit next to us, okay?
1:22 They go right here.
1:23 Look, so easy.
1:25 You good?
1:26 Feeling a little hot?
1:27 We got to cool you down, girlfriend.
1:29 Oh, yeah, the dolls were cute.
1:30 They're creepy.
1:31 They weren't like really Alicia's style dolls, like Paris Hilton looking dolls.
1:36 foo.
1:36 I was like, "Where did these come from?" I
1:37 think I asked her, like, "Are these yours?
1:39 Like you still have these after all these years?" It's not
1:42 even the ones I'd ever played with when I was young.
1:44 Give me a sexy cute Bratz doll that I was desperate to look like,
1:47 not like this porcelain doll that's historically in some attic.
1:52 They smelled.
1:53 They like they were old and They were scary.
1:56 But they were porcelain, like the castle.
1:58 Like I couldn't bring a rainbow doll.
2:00 The castle was just as creepy as the dolls.
2:02 Right, but like it went with it.
2:04 It did.
2:04 Spooky.
2:05 I left the doll at the castle.
2:06 I would have I was never taking that thing home with me.
2:08 And if she had trauma with those dolls, I don't want them in my house.
2:12 Because I don't want the trauma to continue on into my home.
2:15 That's a good point.
2:16 By looking at a doll,
2:17 it's kind of crazy that you're like, "Oh, that's Jo Allen's.
2:19 Oh, that's Alicia's.
2:20 Like off, that's definitely Liz's." I gave
2:23 you the prettiest one, so you're welcome.
2:25 Thank you.
2:25 I was just mad that she gave me the ugliest looking doll out of the bunch.
2:29 It was like a disheveled one.
2:31 With the hat was falling off.
2:32 There's no clothes on.
2:34 but to be fair, that was the baby doll.
2:38 Was that her like Well, kind of.
2:40 She was the useful doll.
2:44 eyes.
2:46 [laughter] Liz's was like this epic queen but pissed.
2:48 Yeah, her face looked mad.
2:50 mad but like cute still like, you know, like royal.
2:53 I'm like I'm not mad at that, but what's the significance?
2:58 It's just furthering the tradition that Elizabeth is always upset.
3:03 Which isn't far from the truth.
3:05 Remember you get Ash like the skier.
3:07 Well, because she fit the muscle.
3:08 Like it was like she's like a boy mom,
3:10 you know, like she's like more athletic, sporty.
3:13 She's not as fancy as us.
3:15 Rosie was punished because she up my eyelashes.
3:19 I was like, "Can you do my eyelashes for me?" Everyone get ready.
3:22 Okay, Kelsie.
3:23 And then will you do my eyelashes?
3:24 And then she did it all cockeyed.
3:26 She's like, "Oh, it looks great." And then Kelsie had to fix them.
3:29 And I was like, "Are you kidding?
3:31 Why would you like So, anyways,
3:32 so Rosie was punished but actually fit her vibe because it has like all
3:35 these like sunflowers on it that's like boom boom but you know what I mean?
3:40 Attention.
3:39 Right?
3:39 I just was curious.
3:40 What were we supposed to do from that point forward?
3:42 I was confused.
3:43 Like were we supposed to like Think with Alicia's.
3:46 Like it's like a kid that gives you a fake cell phone,
3:48 like you're going to answer it.
3:49 Yeah.
3:49 So like anything Alicia wants to do, I'm going to do it.
3:51 Hi, dolly.
3:52 Let me fix your hair.
3:54 You're a dolly.
3:55 You're doing good.
3:56 Stay the course.
3:57 It's okay.
3:58 Just let them be your friend.
4:00 Like it's like a champagne glass, you know?
4:02 It's like a decoration that you're like, "This is my vibe."
4:04 chair for them that they could sit right next to Yeah, cuz it's like a vibe.
4:08 It's like an accessory.
4:09 It's like a purse.
4:10 And they all look at us and they all talk sh- You know that, right?
4:14 Listen, when they they all talk sh- Listen,
4:16 if you look at a doll and you have a conversation,
4:18 you know that I don't typically have conversations with my dolls,
4:21 but when you do, what happens?
4:22 have to make-believe play with your daughter?
4:25 Yeah.
4:24 That's why girls can make-believe our boys,
4:26 they can make-believe with their dolls because there's some
4:28 sort of magic that they're giving back to us.
4:31 why they're like da da da da da da da da da da
4:32 da da da da da da da because there's some sort of vibe.
4:34 I'm telling you.
4:35 Do you think that when you turn off the lights like
4:37 when you leave the house that the dolls talk to each other?
4:39 No.
4:40 No, you don't think I don't believe that.
4:41 I feel like it's just I think that's actually more believable.
4:44 Like they look at you.
4:45 When you have a conversation,
4:46 when you're trying to imaginary play, they turn up.
4:49 I'm telling you, watch when you I'm telling you.
4:51 No, I don't
4:51 That's why that's why there's something about them.
4:54 Gary was playing Ken yesterday and Julie was playing Barbie.
4:56 It was so sweet.
4:57 And then you she has us But isn't it crazy that your daughter can
5:00 have this whole story from just having a little doll in this whole life?
5:04 And she can make up a make-believe life that's so beautiful.
5:06 And you're like, "How did you just write a story from just playing
5:09 with this one doll?" Like how did an essay come out, you know?
5:11 There's some sort of magic behind them.
5:13 I believe.
5:14 I don't know.
5:15 I chat GPT my bed bedtime stories with her.
5:18 I see.
5:18 Like it's just it's a depression thing.
5:21 And I'll like have Julie's doll and I'll be like,
5:23 "Julie the princess." And she'll ask me Yeah.
5:26 Yeah, but it's not in my head.
5:27 I just make chat GPT do it.
5:28 It's something but chat GPT she has a magical touch.
5:31 I agree.
5:32 It's been hit with that ding ding.
5:38 A lot of times when you accept certain things, you like train I for me,
5:42 I trained my brain so hard to just
5:44 accept what it was so that I wasn't disappointed.
5:48 There's like nothing more [music] that I want to get out of this relationship
5:52 or that's going to like change and be different than like what it is now.
5:56 Mhm.
5:56 I was always like in constant like fear and anxiety
6:00 of like what I was going to find out next.
6:01 Not a good feeling at all.
6:04 It really sucks.
6:05 So you didn't know when you first started dating him that there were others.
6:09 I knew that he that was his reputation and I
6:12 was not the only one at the very beginning.
6:15 Like I would hear things.
6:16 I never asked but he never told but he never was talk It wasn't like, "Oh,
6:21 he's on the phone with some girl in front of me." Like no,
6:23 he still hid everything.
6:25 Hid?
6:27 Yeah.
6:27 He'd be like, "Oh, I'm going away." And then I'd
6:30 find out there was also somebody else joining the trip.
6:34 The first time that he told me he was going on a trip which he does every year.
6:38 He's like, "I'm not going to have my phone." He was going on a cruise.
6:41 At the time it's like the Wi-Fi,
6:43 the phone like I wasn't going to have my phone much.
6:45 I said, "Okay." But he still made it a point to call me
6:48 maybe once a day or like twice enough for me to not question it.
6:52 And then I did see stuff online from Facebook.
6:56 That was the first time I found out.
6:58 I remember we were in bed and I started crying and I said,
7:03 "I see all of this stuff like so-and-so said this like I see it online.
7:08 Like what's going on?" And he shut me right down.
7:12 You're a babe though.
7:13 like, "You're only a babe." You're a doll.
7:16 down to the point where like don't ask questions kind of thing.
7:18 That's not as much him having a poly relation.
7:22 That's Isn't that kind of him cheating?
7:26 Yeah, I mean it it You can
7:28 look at it from eight different perspectives, honestly.
7:31 Is it cheating?
7:32 Is it No, yeah.
7:34 He wasn't it ev- Yeah.
7:36 So you never had the conversation where he was like, "Look, this is my life.
7:41 You're either on board or not." No.
7:44 I was not okay with that.
7:45 I loved him but I did not That's not something I signed up for.
7:48 It would just happen to form into that and it took a life of its own.
7:55 I would never and this is not any like shade
8:01 to you but I would never want to have to wonder.
8:05 I would have to take myself out of the equation if it were too heavy.
8:13 And like, you know, what do they say?
8:14 Like the only worthwhile love in life is a love
8:19 in which you feel free and the other person feels free.
8:24 I accepted for what it was and tried to keep my emotions out of it.
8:27 And it was hard sometimes.
8:28 I'm like, "Why won't this man like just pick me?" And then eventually it's
8:33 just like you literally have to just tell yourself like it is what it is.
8:39 And at that point, nothing surprised me.
8:41 But at the beginning I and I wasn't living with him at this point.
8:46 And again, it was like I was staying in my at like staying in my lane.
8:50 As a 20-something-year-old girl, 21,
8:53 I'm going to tell this 43-year-old what to do?
8:55 Like no, I was afraid to ask the questions but it was like yeah,
8:59 as bad as that was there were so
9:01 many other great things that we were doing together, that he was doing for me.
9:06 Every waking minute we spent together when he was in Rhode Island.
9:10 Every trip we went on, it's just like he couldn't take me enough places.
9:14 So like he wanted to travel with me.
9:16 He didn't want to travel with anybody else.
9:18 I was always the one traveling with him.
9:20 So like I just eventually when you take your emotions out of it and that's
9:25 why I said the relationship lacked the emotional
9:28 aspect because I was forced to not care.
9:32 And to me you can only grow so
9:36 much without the emotional side of it which lacked.
9:40 I think she was maybe just done with having that type
9:43 of relationship and wanted something a little bit more serious and promising.
9:48 think that was because she wants to have kids one day.
9:50 She's not going to Well, this guy didn't want to have kids.
9:53 I want to have kids.
9:54 I want to be married.
9:55 And I feel like, you know, I'll never get that where I'm at.
9:58 At that point it's just a waste of time.
10:00 You know, I could see that cuz she does love
10:02 her sister's kids and I know her sister and her brother-in-law.
10:05 kids, yeah.
10:06 And she's with them often enough.
10:07 So, I could see that she'd want her own and if it's, you know,
10:10 wasn't going to happen with the ex, then you know, she needs to find her way.
