1:18 I just came back to Tokyo a few hours ago, actually.
1:21 This is real.
1:21 This is real.
1:22 This is insane.
1:23 He's made it.
1:23 He's back.
1:24 How you guys doing in the comments?
1:25 Have you got there you go?
1:26 Oh yeah, I was just in the comments.
1:27 Read some comments.
1:28 I'm gonna get this party popper ready.
1:31 Why am I so confident?
1:32 I mean like I can just do it for you.
1:34 Go on then.
1:34 I mean what?
1:35 Don't point it at my face.
1:37 Don't Safety first show.
1:43 what is this?
1:43 What's going on?
1:45 Tell me.
1:47 Why isn't this coming this way?
1:48 I was like how do I do it?
1:49 Just show me.
1:50 Keep it away from me.
1:50 Well, it should like this this thing here should come out from here.
1:55 Japanese engineering.
1:56 Honestly, honestly, yourself.
1:58 Help yourself.
1:59 I think it's not alcoholic, right?
2:01 0.0.0.
2:02 Let me just um Good morning from Alaska.
2:04 Hello in Alaska.
2:05 Hello.
2:06 Where are you guys watching from this morning or this evening?
2:08 Let us know.
2:09 We're here.
2:10 I'll tell you where we are at the end of the live show.
2:12 I don't want to have anybody just randomly turn up
2:14 and cause more mayhem because there's already enough mayhem having Riot here.
2:18 But cheers, man.
2:19 Cheers.
2:19 And well done for climbing Fiji.
2:21 Yeah, it's the first time.
2:22 Very first of in my life.
2:23 That's really good.
2:24 I um That's really It's non-alcoholic beer.
2:27 Old school beer style brought in a brave new world.
2:31 Goes goes with mango, passion fruit, guava.
2:35 Tropical delight.
2:37 Maybe a little bit different from yours.
2:39 Mine is laga.
2:40 What is yours?
2:41 Not laga.
2:42 It's like a fruit cocktail.
2:44 Oh, okay.
2:45 Went to Tokyo May from England.
2:47 I couldn't find your ramen shop.
2:48 You talk about cash use in Japan
2:51 and only accept cash payments in your bar already.
2:53 Somebody's ranting about my bar.
2:55 Of course, of course it wouldn't be a live show.
2:57 Um, we do only we we only take car payments in the bar.
3:00 But anyway, enough about we're not here to talk about the bar.
3:02 Um, Singapore, Iceland, Malaysia.
3:06 Wow.
3:06 Brighton diverse by the moment.
3:10 Uh, New Zealand, Germany, Hampshire.
3:12 Wonderful.
3:13 Wonderful.
3:13 Thank you so much for joining us tonight, guys.
3:15 uh a celebration of Riot surviving Mount Fuji.
3:19 Yeah, I know.
3:19 I mean, like Oh, so I It was um So, yesterday I left, right?
3:23 Yeah.
3:23 So, just so it's um 7:45 here now.
3:26 Yeah.
3:27 You would have been climbing at like 2:00 a.m.
3:29 last night, right?
3:29 Did you do the classic 4 4 a.m.
3:31 last night?
3:32 So, um what I did was like I left uh well, so I left Tokyo, right?
3:36 I was on a bus and then like three
3:38 2 hours or whatever to um was a fifth station.
3:41 They call it fifth station.
3:43 Yeah.
3:43 of um of Mount Fuji and it took me about six hours to get to the eighth station.
3:49 You've done that, right?
3:50 Yeah.
3:50 And like you know how how like far
3:53 it's like sixth and seventh and seventh and eighth.
3:55 Yeah.
3:55 It's deceptively far, isn't it?
3:57 Yeah.
3:57 And you actually see the mountain hut that you're
3:59 staying at as like it just takes forever.
4:01 So I went to the one of the like the highest
4:03 mountain hut and I stayed there and that's the bra, doesn't it?
4:06 I had the highest of hops forever.
4:07 No, no, no.
4:08 Highest say as like well it's easier for me to get
4:10 to the um the top of the summit that the following day.
4:13 Well, you know there's huts on the summit itself.
4:16 Oh, it's closer.
4:17 Well, no, no, no, it doesn't.
4:18 No, it's just closer.
4:19 It's close enough.
4:19 Close enough.
4:20 But um but yeah, so 6 hours to the eighth station, then the mountain hut,
4:25 and then like in the morning and a half to get to the top.
4:28 Jesus, man.
4:29 And then I still can't believe Natsky climbed Mount Fuji before.
4:32 That would never have been on my bingo card, right?
4:34 Knowing Natski is a smoker and the smoker.
4:37 Yeah, I was going to say that.
4:37 Yeah.
4:38 And then Riottoro's you're you're you're disturbingly fit for a man of your own.
4:43 What do you mean disturb you?
4:45 You did that disturb you.
4:46 You're you're athletic.
4:47 Yeah, because you're like this and that and this and that every year.
4:51 That's what's happening to you.
4:52 What do you think, guys?
4:52 Are you surprised as I am that uh and also you
4:58 know he's been up Fuji because he's got the Fuji shirt.
5:00 Yeah.
5:00 See that?
5:01 I just bought it cuz Oh, the souvenir shop at the station.
5:07 Do you before I mean this isn't this like just
5:10 this like so clear that I went to Mont Fuji, right?
5:13 Look at that.
5:13 Look at that.
5:14 Look at that.
5:14 It's just so proof.
5:16 It's a proof.
5:17 I mean, you can buy it without like anyway.
5:20 Proof in there.
5:22 Any questions, guys, for Riotro's ascent.
5:25 And also, we're going to be having dinner in a minute.
5:27 We got a barbecue just out of shot.
5:29 We'll wheel it in in a moment.
5:30 Um, we're both quite hungry.
5:32 It was supposed to start at 700 p.m.
5:34 Oh, yeah.
5:34 I know.
5:35 That's what I came here for cuz we had all the equipment
5:37 ready to go and then Riot like fell over and all the cameras
5:40 and all the equipment all over the It was all Rio's fault
5:44 and nothing to do with my slip shot slip shot organization skills.
5:50 There's some questions about Fuji.
5:51 Joseph says, "Riotro,
5:52 did you buy Mount Fuji canned air?" He's full of He's already full of air.
5:58 They need more.
5:58 I was like I was like was there anything like that?
6:01 Do you not seen a can there?
6:02 No.
6:03 There's a So at the fifth station you can buy like
6:05 cans and it's like air from the summit of Mount Fu.
6:08 Oh right.
6:09 Oxygen.
6:10 Is that not even that?
6:11 It's just a can with some air.
6:13 You I don't waste money.
6:15 That's it.
6:15 That's smart.
6:16 That's why the best of the I just saw some people like try
6:18 trying to like inhale oxygen cuz Natki had this can and it did nothing.
6:24 It did nothing.
6:25 and he would like take a spray of the oxygen and light up a cigarette.
6:30 As if like you're like some patient or something at hospital.
6:33 Any more questions for the great the great rioter?
6:36 Uh did you see any religious activity at Mount Fuji?
6:43 Um pray.
6:44 No, not not at the summit because the um
6:47 the uh somehow today's the official opening day, right?
6:50 But the summit the all the shops or the uh even the shrines, right?
6:53 They wouldn't open till like 10th of July.
6:55 That's a that's a first day official first day at the summit.
6:58 Oh, so you were you were like pretty much the first people to go up Fuji.
7:02 Oh yeah.
7:02 Oh Privileged.
7:03 Privileged.
7:04 And and but fifth station they were doing some festivities, you know,
7:08 like Mikoshi the the shrine on the thing,
7:11 you know, like they were actually doing some round.
7:14 Did you see the Domino's pizza delivery man?
7:16 No.
7:17 What?
7:17 Every year I swear Domino's does this thing where they send like
7:20 one poor man up the mountain with a pizza and they're like,
7:23 "Oh, deliver us pizza." What is it?
7:24 Some kind of penalty or something?
7:25 It's just like clever PR.
7:26 All All clever companies would just do something at top out Fuji.
7:30 And then you told me you were going to climb Mount Fuji in a suit.
7:34 What?
7:35 That's what you told me.
7:36 What you said?
7:37 There's people that climb up in a suit and I'm going to do Oh, yeah.
7:39 Maybe like to do that some prayer, right?
7:41 As as a company, right?
7:42 That I didn't say anyone in the suit this time.
7:45 So, I was lucky thing.
7:46 Did you take any photos?
7:47 Yes, I did.
7:48 Can you show us?
7:49 Yeah.
7:49 Send me some pictures.
7:50 I posted I posted I bloody post on my like because no one followed me.
7:54 Was there a business meeting at the summit?
7:56 At the summit?
7:57 Did you have a business meeting?
7:59 No, I just arrived in this.
8:00 That would be a what makes people think that business meeting or summit?
8:04 This is this photo.
8:06 Oh, look at that.
8:07 This is a story.
8:08 Just hold it.
8:08 Look at this.
8:09 This is on Riotro's Instagram.
8:11 It's amazing.
8:12 It's not pointless at all.
8:14 See it?
8:14 There you go.
8:14 It's not It's a bloody camera.
8:16 There you go.
8:17 What the is that?
8:18 That's me.
8:18 There you go.
8:19 Look at that.
8:20 Ain't it lovely?
8:21 Yeah.
8:21 And you can see it too if you climb Mount Fuji.
8:23 But the thing is, right, you have to pay now though.
8:25 Stop 4,000 yen to actually get just to get in to the mountains.
8:31 Obviously, that actually decreased the number of um
8:34 the conjunctions the the congestion was conditions.
8:38 Yeah.
8:38 Because Fuji has gotten a lot busier, right, over the years.
8:41 I know when I climbed it last was two years ago in Abanatki.
8:45 Well, it was noticeably busier than 2013.
8:47 No.
8:47 Would you do it again?
8:49 No.
8:49 No.
8:50 Absolutely not.
8:51 Never again.
8:52 What's the the saying?
8:53 A wise man climbs Mount Fuji once, a fool climbs it twice.
8:56 I'm a fool.
8:56 You're a wise man.
8:58 How'd that happen?
8:59 Well, the thing is like I wouldn't do that for like last maybe next 10 decade.
9:02 I next decade I would do that.
9:04 But after 10 years, I might ask you would you like to do it again?
9:07 I'm not doing with me.
9:08 Because you didn't ask me.
9:09 Why don't you do it with me then?
9:11 I mean I I I basically had to carry Natsky up.
9:14 We me and a team of people had to had to carry Natski.
9:18 So it was quite difficult.
9:19 Um did you eat like cup ramen?
9:21 Cup noodle up there.
9:23 That's the best.
9:23 How much was it?
9:24 How much was it?
9:26 Was about $15.
9:28 Quite expensive.
9:29 Yeah, really expensive.
9:29 Really expensive.
9:30 Take the cup ramen with you.
9:32 Exactly.
9:32 Dan says, "Hey guys, I'm bringing my dad on a Japan tour.
9:35 We're stopping by the bar for a drink.
9:37 Thank you.
9:37 Any quick any recommendations?
9:40 You've you've been to Lost Bar so much.
9:42 No, I've been there like three times.
9:44 He was like, "No, no, no.
9:45 Three times." And they go like a lot a lot of times.
9:48 A lot of times.
9:49 See, I go to Lost Bar to get drunk and talk to people.
9:52 Rio goes to turn into a business opportunity and he
9:55 takes people there like and you I've seen that.
9:57 You take and you're like, "Oh, look.
9:59 It's based on the wool and the people you
10:01 hang out with are bringing the people in tourism, right?
10:05 Just just to show what's going on in Shibuya.
10:07 That's what it is.
10:07 Favorite drink though?
10:09 Uh yeah, some like you know name that you know like a magic meal.
10:13 Yeah, something like that.
10:14 Something like that.
10:14 But look at this.
10:15 Oh my god.
10:16 Wow.
10:17 Oh my god.
10:17 And like you know this this live streaming was like 40 40
10:20 minutes late and I just came for this and not for you.
10:24 You are right.
10:24 Yeah.
10:25 So this is what we're going to cook.
10:26 And I say we I'm going to I'm going to do the the hard
10:28 bit the technical stuff and you're going to cook all the dinner.
10:33 I'm not going to cook.
10:33 No, this is a this is a dinner in your I
10:35 did not come for I I did not come for that.
10:37 You're going to cook it.
10:39 You really you trust me cooking.
10:41 Did you not see what I did to Connor?
10:42 That's right.
10:43 That is all right.
10:44 I made you cook several times and I've seen some videos doing that.
10:48 So I think it's best that I This looks really good though.
10:50 It is actually.
10:51 Is this like Wagyu?
10:53 Where's the beef from?
10:54 Huh?
10:55 Look at that.
10:56 First is Miyazaki pork.
10:58 Miaak pork.
10:59 Mazaki pork beef.
11:02 Oh, that you have a chicken.
11:09 Wow, that's so cool.
11:10 Thanks so much, man.
11:11 It's very beautifully arranged, isn't it?
11:14 It's not marbled.
11:15 It's not focus, man.
11:17 Please.
11:18 Okay, there you go.
11:18 There you go.
11:19 Yeah, there you go.
11:19 That's beautiful.
11:20 And as long as Riotro doesn't it up, it's going to be a hell of a meal.
11:24 It's telling me that you always You're the one who always fails.
11:29 Um I love this this bar, right?
11:31 You can hear like the roaring of the train next to it.
11:34 So next to the um the cahin took line and it's
11:37 like rush hour in Tokyo and everyone's like traveling around.
11:39 You got trains going.
11:40 Got a pile of meat.
11:41 Only like what 10 minutes from Tokyo station I guess.
11:43 Yeah.
11:44 10 minutes or like a bit more than that but anyway really close.
11:47 Are you almost ready to cook dinner?
11:49 I'm Am I the one?
11:50 Am I the one?
11:51 You you I'm not I'm not even Jake.
11:53 You're cooking dinner.
11:54 Um let's dive in a few questions then.
11:56 Sending lots of love and care from Canada.
11:59 Thank you.
11:59 Thank you so much.
12:00 love and care.
12:01 Um, good day from Australia, Rio.
12:03 How was your climb?
12:04 Was it easier or harder than you expected?
12:06 It was easier in the beginning.
12:07 It got harder.
12:10 The way down is just as hard, right?
12:12 That's what it is.
12:12 Like, so it was easier on the way to the top and then like it's coming down.
12:17 It took what four hours I guess coming down.
12:19 Four.
12:19 So like 12 hours going up, four hours.
12:21 Four hours or five hours coming down.
12:23 And that like your knees, right?
12:25 your knees.
12:25 You just cannot hold yourself like that.
12:27 I still remember the pain of my knees and coming down.
12:31 It was And that's unfortunately he fell on the way down.
12:33 No kidding.
12:34 Did the somersault.
12:35 It was quite impressive.
12:36 Um that's his that's his technique of the the the graceful falling technique.
12:43 Yeah.
12:43 And actually some people retired actually.
12:46 Some people retired because I was in a group, right?
12:48 And there were some like you know people from like Australia
12:50 or Canada and um some actually went to the eighth session.
12:54 eight but given up like going to the summit.
12:57 Oh no.
12:58 Well, they Well, they thought it was a lot harder than they expected, right?
13:00 Just the first day.
13:01 Anyway, when I when I watched you do when you told me you were doing it,
13:03 I looked at the weather and it was like rain
13:05 and there was a thunder and lightning storm near Fuji.
13:07 We had that.
13:09 I I know somebody that climbed it and had
13:10 to bail because it turned into a lightning storm and then
13:13 things got very scary very quickly and at least right
13:15 like we we had the rain at least five times.
13:19 Five times.
13:20 Five times.
13:20 Five times.
13:21 Seriously.
13:21 Literally.
13:22 Lucky.
13:22 Yeah.
13:23 Unlucky, man.
13:23 Um, I did a 12-hour 200 km cycle inspired by you and the podcast.
13:28 Thank you very much.
13:29 Uh, Serette inspired by you.
13:31 12 hour 200 inspired by you.
13:34 How dare you?
13:35 Oh, wait.
13:35 12 hours and 200 km.
13:37 That's That's That's m That's insane.
13:40 You put Connor and I to shame.
13:42 Connor and I I think we've done like 120 km max.
13:46 I was I was watching that and then just pour yourself in the rain, you know.
13:49 It's like in Hokkaido.
13:50 It was tough.
13:51 Um, do your riot impression, says Jay.
13:54 Hello everybody.
13:55 I'm going to cook this.
13:56 I can't do it.
13:57 It just sounds like Paul coveround Paul.
13:59 Um, unfortunately.
14:01 So, we're going to we're going to dive in.
14:03 But this live show today is sponsored by the one, the only Tabalog.
14:09 Look at this hat.
14:10 Check this out.
14:11 What stylish?
14:12 What is that?
14:12 Tablo.
14:13 Just show me.
14:13 Show me.
14:13 Tablo.
14:14 Oh my god.
14:15 Japan's chopsticks number one restaurant reservation platform.
14:19 And Riotto and I are actually going on an awesome trip later this month.
14:22 Yep.
14:22 To Shikoku.
14:23 Right.
14:23 To Shikoku.
14:23 Yep.
14:24 We're going took and we're going to try all the food.
14:27 We're going to go to each and every one of the four prefixes.
14:30 All right.
14:31 Tokashima Kagawa Eime Ki.
14:35 The pronunciation.
14:37 We're going to go to each one and find a local dish.
14:40 And we're going to do it with your help.
14:42 We got a really cool competition on today.
14:44 Uh and I did post about it on Twitter if you guys haven't already seen it.
14:47 Um, this is Tabalog, the legendary platform.
14:51 And one sec, I'm hopeless at You lost.
14:54 There's Table.
14:55 Oh, there you go.
14:56 Taz one restaurant listing reservation site.
14:59 Amazing.
15:00 You can buy, you can find pretty much every restaurant in Japan.
15:03 It's a scary, daunting thing traveling around Japan if you're
15:07 a foreigner and having to ring up a restaurant and be like,
15:10 "Can I have a table?" And then they're like like it's a scary thing.
15:15 And so it's nice to have a service that can do it all for you.
15:18 Like you're still struggling, right, with the telephone, right?
15:21 I I get I get a bit nervous on the telephone.
15:24 Really?
15:24 Yeah.
15:24 You're not You're not nervous when you talk to me.
15:27 I am nervous.
15:28 I'm unsettled when I talk to you.
15:30 Um but Tablelo are doing a competition
15:31 with us where you can actually help us choose
15:34 the location of where we go for our trip because we're going to go to about six,
15:38 seven, eight restaurants, right?
15:40 Y total.

31:40 Aa in Sai.
31:41 In Shai.
31:41 And was to be precise, Au town in Sai.
31:45 It's a beautiful place.
31:46 Yeah, you've been there.
31:47 You've got a good score.
31:47 3.48 is pretty good.
31:49 Yeah, it's pretty good.
31:50 Hold on.
31:51 Is that it?
31:52 Is that it?
31:53 We could look at it more if you want.
31:54 Yeah, we just restaurant show.
31:56 Where's the photos of this?
31:57 So, Riotro, you bought this restaurant or you No,
32:00 no, I cornered I cornering it with some friends.
32:03 Is there any photos of you on the page?
32:06 I don't think so.
32:07 How often do you go to your own?
32:09 No, maybe like once in two months.
32:11 Once in a month.
32:12 Because I'm see that that thing is I I barely
32:15 I'm very You're too busy too busy in Pakistan and Hungary.
32:19 Not Hungary, Bulgaria.
32:20 Oh, sorry.
32:21 Never been to Hungary, by the way.
32:23 Too busy in Bulgaria and Beckistan to go to his own restaurant.
32:26 But you can check it out.
32:27 It's called Akisha Pavalog.
32:29 And it's a really good restaurant.
32:30 Actually, when I lived in Sai, I it pains me to admit it,
32:33 but I did go there a fair bit.
32:35 I'm a good friend, but also the food was very good.
32:38 As it is right here.
32:40 Yeah.
32:41 You've have you eaten meat meat already?
32:42 I haven't eaten anything.
32:43 Oh, just I want to hear your running a live food review.
32:46 going berserk.
32:47 Just trying to see how how how good you became.
32:52 Oh, that's good.
32:53 Okay.
32:53 What's the best smell?
32:54 Smell first.
32:55 Okay.
32:56 Yeah.
32:57 Smell first.
32:58 Okay.
32:58 Smell first.
32:58 And then choices.
33:01 Okay.
33:02 So, there was like Okay.
33:02 Barbecue sauce, soy sauce with wasabi
33:05 and vinegar soy sauce and some mixed spice.
33:09 Which one?
33:10 Okay.
33:11 Wasabi with soy sauce.
33:14 Okay.
33:14 Come on.
33:15 Now we're talking.
33:16 Yes.
33:17 At last.
33:18 This live show got good.
33:21 That's very good.
33:23 No, you you've got worse.
33:25 All right.
33:25 I want to eat you.
33:26 You do some talking.
33:27 Do some work.
33:28 Oh, we have some comments.
33:29 There you go.
33:30 Just read on holiday.
33:32 All right.
33:33 Good to see you.
33:34 Uh you in a cha What's that?
33:37 Cha charitable work and a promotion.
33:40 Some more white tears on it.
33:42 Chris, any updates on the seven train journey with Kona?
33:45 The sevenstar train?
33:46 Yeah.
33:47 Oh, yeah.
33:48 So, I I uh said I'd try and get the sevenstar train.
33:52 But the problem is we we so we had the opportunity card to get tickets.
33:56 It cost 4 million yen.
33:58 What?
33:58 Because one company, a big silly luxury company, block books the entire train.
34:04 They bought out the whole train and then they upsell it.
34:07 And so there's no service train very oft.
34:10 Also, we did message them and they were like, "Yeah, we don't need information.
34:12 Go away." So, what what is sevenstar train is is out of the woods.
34:17 I didn't I just It's so much money for a stupid train.
34:21 So, who who rides it?
34:22 I probably own any chance of them working with us now.
34:25 Who rides it?
34:26 Yeah.
34:26 Who rides it?
34:27 Like rich people who are like 70.
34:29 Yeah.
34:30 But Japanese or like, you know,
34:32 you you you are the sort of person the sevenstar trainers market.
34:35 Not in the 70s, you know.
34:37 80s.
34:38 Wow.
34:38 Um, but that's that's where it's at.
34:40 So, probably not going to happen.
34:43 Like I said though, I when I promised Connor I would do something,
34:47 it had to be either the sevenstar train or something of equitable value.
34:50 And I think if I'm going to spend two to three million yen, which is $20,000.
34:56 I'd rather like do something good with it.
34:58 Like actually like what when we we Conor
35:00 and I went to the Oshu is it Oshu Castle?
35:03 Ou Castle.
35:05 really beautiful castle and it cost him
35:08 $25,000 which I think is public knowledge
35:11 but you I think you mentioned oh I mean like to rent out the whole castle
35:13 right you get to rent out the castle it created jobs and like help
35:16 the local economy of the town so that was good right I don't want to fund
35:20 like JR West Jr's luxury trading for the rich I'd rather like use it
35:25 for good like that let me ask you so how many days the train I
35:28 going to be on the train like if it would be that much like four
35:31 days four days with like all like food board like dinner and my all together.
35:36 Well, but still, you know, you want to go on it, don't you?
35:38 No.
35:38 You want to go on it?
35:39 Definitely not.
35:39 I prefer big stuff.
35:41 I thought people were like, "Oh,
35:42 I'm really sure I'll get you on the train." And I I think I
35:44 told Connor because I I sort of played a bit of a prank on Connor.
35:47 So, we had the luxury train.
35:49 I think I I told him that uh but you would set it up.
35:53 I was like, "Oh, he's got our seats
35:55 on the train." And then uh then it was a lie.
35:58 Oh, that's just a prank, bro.
36:00 It's just a prank.
36:01 Um, Kristen says, "I want to show my immense appreciation for your content.
36:04 It was very helpful for my trips.
36:06 Thank you so much.
36:07 I went to Nagasaki with your videos and had a great time." Hell yeah.
36:10 Oh, yeah.
36:10 Which one?
36:11 Nagasaki, right?
36:13 What?
36:14 Which video was that?
36:15 Didn't elaborate.
36:16 Well, I made I made like one video.
36:18 Are you a Nagasaki fan?
36:20 No.
36:20 I mean, I've been there.
36:21 I love the Chinatown, actually.
36:22 It's very Yeah.
36:23 Yeah.
36:23 It's got history and good food.
36:25 Um, as always, I It's 6 a.m.
36:29 here in Illinois.
36:30 But I want to tell you Illinois.
36:32 Sorry.
36:32 Illinois.
36:33 Illinois.
36:34 Illinois.
36:34 6 a.m.
36:35 here in Illinois.
36:35 I want to tell you your book was the best thing I read last year.
36:37 It made me cry twice in a good way.
36:40 Wow.
36:41 That's amazing.
36:41 Thanks so much.
36:42 Wow.
36:43 Jesus.
36:43 That's really cool, man.
36:44 Thanks so much.
36:46 Which bit made you cry?
36:47 Was it like I cried and I threw the book in the bin?
36:54 Because you are in the book.
36:56 Have you read the book?
36:57 Just just partially.
36:58 Oh, the bit where you're in it.
36:59 Yeah.
37:00 Like now just to make sure that how many how many lines am I in it?
37:03 What I love because you say there so much you were in it.
37:06 You were in it.
37:06 You're in it.
37:07 You're in it.
37:07 Is it like you came off all right?
37:10 You came off all right.
37:12 Yeah.
37:13 You can read the book if you want
37:14 to get the real scoop of what he's really like.
37:16 Oh.
37:17 Yeah.
37:17 Go ahead.
37:17 Yeah.
37:18 Um, no.
37:20 How many languages does your book come in right now?
37:23 German, Polish.
37:25 Yeah.
37:26 Polish, Dutch, Spanish, Vietnamese.
37:29 So, you know what?
37:29 Like a friend of mine, but not published.
37:32 No, not a friend of mine published uh a book in SP in Spain, right?
37:37 And then when he saw his book in Amazon,
37:39 he he he saw a book above him and does something that's very familiar.
37:44 And that was your book.
37:45 He called me up.
37:46 I was like, "Is this Chris?" And that's when
37:50 I knew that you actually My friend Pete Donaldson,
37:52 who I do a podcast with, he was in Spain on holiday, I think.
37:56 Yeah.
37:56 And he's he sent me a photo looking angry and he's on like
37:58 a sun lounger and there's a person behind him holding the abroad in Japan book.
38:02 Yeah.
38:03 And he wasn't happy that somebody was reading the book
38:05 and his like he sent a photo of that.
38:09 Everything all right?
38:11 What's going on here?
38:13 Right.
38:14 Cameras stuff.
38:16 Camera stuff.
38:16 Um, but what's your big goal for this year?
38:21 Big goal for this year?
38:22 You climbed Fuji.
38:23 Well, I did like the mission one done.
38:27 Mission one, one done.
38:28 Done.
38:28 Done.
38:30 But uh this year I I want to like
38:32 travel like outside Japan more as well, you know,
38:36 because I mean I've been in Japan like everywhere almost like but because
38:38 I need to learn a little bit of what's going on and um
38:42 in Europe or uh and of course I just went to Blue
38:44 Valley but I want to I want to go somewhere else as well.
38:47 Maybe like guys just you can just recommend me where I should go.
38:51 Where should he go?
38:52 Yeah, exactly.
38:52 Not only are we going to recommend places to go for dinner and lunch in Chicago,
38:57 you won't know where when food.
39:01 Yeah, good food.
39:02 Wakes guy.
39:03 Good food.
39:04 Come on.
39:05 Yeah.
39:07 Do some reading.
39:08 Oh, do some you eat.
39:11 I was going to I was going to eat it.
39:12 Just Just keep reading.
39:14 Good day, Chris.
39:15 Australian.
39:16 Good day, Chris.
39:16 It's fun seeing your videos um and your book and meeting the king.
39:22 It's going to feel bad reading this out.
39:23 It's been a good year.
39:24 Um, driving in Japan opens up semi
39:28 locations close to tourist hotspots without the crowds.
39:30 True.
39:31 That's a good tip.
39:32 Um, I'm actually working on a second book at the moment
39:34 and in that book it's about traveling to every graphic in Japan.
39:38 Am I in there?
39:39 Unfortunately, you are in quite a lot of the book.
39:42 That is good.
39:42 That is good one cuz he's regretting the fact
39:44 that he just put just some lines in the first book.
39:47 So, he just decided to put me on.
39:48 It's unfortunate Rio show is in the second book because we've traveled
39:51 a lot together but not Shikoku and um yeah one of the takeaways I've
39:56 learned from writing the book is much of Japan you do need
39:59 to drive to experience the best true the best part yes especially like you
40:04 know Sai um the where you left um took in general as well
40:11 so you need to drive and you need to really drive to get
40:13 to the whatever like you know where we feel where I look
40:16 for the the best places now even the food and and fox village anyway.
40:21 Fox exactly you need to drive.
40:23 So well I think for for Aussies I think it's quite easier
40:26 because they drive on the right side right as in the correct site.
40:30 Yeah I feel sorry for Americans.
40:31 I had a a friend when I was on the jet program up
40:34 in Yamagata and to get my Japanese license they just asked me a question.
40:40 They were like what's your favorite thing and I was like chicken.
40:43 They were like you've got your license.
40:44 Americans get really put through the ringer because
40:47 they're on the other side of the road, right?
40:50 So, he had to like pass like a James Bond spy test to try to get his license
40:55 to do like a getaway department getaway scene from like
40:58 Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift just to get his license.
41:01 Seriously, the two like to be honest, right,
41:03 I got my first license in the States.
41:06 Oh, right.
41:06 Yeah.
41:07 So, uh when I obviously um you know that in the States
41:10 you can get license driver's license when you're 16, right?
41:13 M so I got it actually at 17 whereas
41:16 in Japan you can only get it like when you're 18.
41:18 So I got it at 17 and I actually uh changed it to Japanese
41:22 license when I was 18 and I had actually I had to take the test.
41:24 So you're proficient on both sides of the road.
41:26 Nothing can stop me.
41:27 See that thing is right I was like okay I'm I'm not I
41:29 haven't driven the right side as in like right left right side a while.
41:35 So chat's pointing out Chris you're sitting on the wrong side again.
41:38 I thought you'd worked out.
41:39 Yeah.
41:40 Yeah.
41:40 Well, see people know cuz if I eat with my left hand, bang.
41:46 Yeah.
41:46 Yeah.
41:46 Oh dear.
41:47 Yeah.
41:47 Not ideal.
41:48 I think we talked about this when we did.
41:50 We'll I'll get there.
41:51 It's taken nine years and we still up.
41:54 Still still life.
41:55 Why is that?
41:55 What's going on?
41:56 I don't know.
41:57 It's just a subcon.
41:58 It's not because I think I look better on this side or anything like that.
42:01 I don't like purposely choose to sit for one side of my fat.
42:05 It's just like naturally I go this side.
42:07 I don't know why.
42:09 Do you have this side looks better and that side looks better than that?
42:12 Well, it's the same way in a you know
42:14 in in films the villain always comes on the screen
42:17 from the right side cuz he's going against good and you
42:21 are that's why it's better you're on the right side.
42:25 Oh, is that why?
42:26 Yeah.
42:27 You're the jafar of abro Japan.
42:31 I didn't know you.
42:32 It's the first time you told me.
42:34 Oh dear.
42:35 All right, let's read some comments.
42:36 Yeah.
42:36 Again, they're doing all the work for you.
42:39 Yes.
42:39 I mean, because they they do it better.
42:41 That's what I'm saying.
42:42 They do it better.
42:44 Um Chris Riotro.
42:47 Yes.
42:47 Guys, I'll be traveling around Kyushi this December.
42:50 Can you give me some recommendations on activities
42:51 and foods that you particularly enjoy in Kishi?
42:55 Chicken tempura.
42:57 Yeah.
42:58 Yeah.
42:58 From Yeah.
42:59 Yeah.
43:00 Do you agree?
43:01 I agree wholeheartedly.
43:02 Chicken tempura.
43:03 Chicken temper.
43:03 And also I mean this is too usual maybe too ordinary but tonkotu ramen.
43:08 Tonkotu ramen.
43:09 Yeah I like in fukuoka.
43:10 Yeah.
43:11 But tongotu ramen is famous in three prefectures right.
43:14 Fukuoka uh kumamoto and koshima.
43:19 And those are the three prefectures that that they eat uh
43:22 the tonkos the most and out of kyushu because other prefectures don't.
43:25 So where's where's chicken tempura?
43:27 Chicken temp is fora oita.
43:29 Oita prefecture.
43:29 So if you like the city actually especially
43:32 and for those of you who are uh into who
43:37 love Karag you know where Kar comes from there's
43:40 like kind of the sacred no it's from as well
43:44 where it's a Nakatu city in Ore Nak city
43:50 when you actually go to um Naka city then
43:52 what you see maybe like it's like always
43:55 a comini like you see every corner the kag shop.
43:58 Oh wow.
43:59 Yeah.
43:59 How did I not know that?
44:00 I mean, I I've eaten my way around Kushi many a time.
44:04 Uh I love Kagashima pork.
44:05 Miyazaki beef.
44:06 I didn't one of these was from Miyazaki, right?
44:08 Well, yeah.
44:09 Yeah.
44:09 Miyazaki beef, I think.
44:10 Maki.
44:12 Um but I all we've done is list off food as opposed to things to do.
44:17 I mean, we can spend all day talking about it.
44:19 Go to Sakurajima volcano.
44:21 Go to Nagasaki in Chinatown.
44:23 Get lost down the back streets of Hakua.
44:26 You're going to be sport of choice.
44:27 Um, ever thought of visiting Nikor?
44:29 I did go there.
44:29 I did film it.
44:31 I just haven't released the video.
44:33 Whoops.
44:33 What do you mean?
44:34 It's a nice place though.
44:35 I haven't released a video yet.
44:36 Okay.
44:36 Well, not yet, but you will be.
44:38 Yeah.
44:38 Okay, sure.
44:39 Um, I've been watching you guys forever.
44:41 Um, thank you, Riot, as well.
44:43 Sorry if I butchered your name.
44:44 I can't read that.
44:45 Good.
44:46 You spell it right.
44:48 Do people still call you Rosto?
44:49 Well, cuz you named me like Ros.
44:51 It's like it's like what?
44:53 decade ago almost like 10 years ago like
44:55 you named I think we were Italian eating Italian
44:58 restaurant and then Rizoto came it's like oh doesn't
45:00 your name sound like Rizoto can I call Rotato
45:04 from now on and then since then he's Rottoro
45:07 yes every I think every like third person like
45:11 who like you know who saw I mean whatever
45:15 Rotro and I'm not I'm real tal getting serious drama.
45:23 Just rambling away.
45:26 Oh, pork.
45:26 Pork.
45:26 Pork.
45:27 That's good.
45:29 Enjoy your pork.
45:29 Okay.
45:30 Um, I'll dive into the comments.
45:32 Um, it's cool catching up though.
45:34 It's been a while and I'm really looking forward to going to um Chicago.
45:40 Thank you.
45:41 I'm really looking forward to going to Chicago.
45:43 Um, it will be hot.
45:45 Very hot.
45:45 You know, June had the hottest was the hottest June on record for Japan.
45:49 The whole Japan.
45:51 Um, so you mentioned July.
45:52 So, I can't wait for July.
45:54 Um, but we got air con.
45:55 I know you guys in Europe don't.
45:56 Yeah.
45:58 Sorry about that.
45:58 That's a must.
45:59 It must be like a portable air con.
46:00 You can buy like one you could just Yeah, small one like that, I think.
46:04 Yeah, buy that.
46:05 Buy that.
46:06 Problem from where?
46:09 Whoever sells air conditioning units in Europe is about to make a big killing.
46:13 Um but really looking forward to Shikkoku.
46:16 Yes.
46:16 Looking forward to traveling around there.
46:17 Yep.
46:18 Um which is your favorite prefecture in Shikoku so far?
46:22 Kochi.
46:24 Ah I've been there quite a while quite a few times.
46:27 Barbecue fish.
46:28 Barbecue fish.
46:29 Barbecq fish.
46:30 What are you talking about?
46:30 The is it tataki?
46:32 Oh yeah.
46:32 Yeah.
46:32 Yeah.
46:33 Seared bonito.
46:34 Yeah.
46:34 Only the main dish in all of Say it correctly, Mike.
46:38 It's good though.
46:39 It's good.
46:39 It's good.
46:39 Seared bonito.
46:40 actually did it like did an experience the sita making experience that was
46:44 pretty much supposed to be a barbecue barbecuing experience well she's doing
46:49 it for me he's done nothing and also I like uh what was
46:54 that uh co they were like you know um they've got homa you
46:59 know ah market I went with with Connor years ago you did
47:03 yeah during co it's it's I like that place because um that maybe
47:06 say 70% of people who are there uh like local mm or just
47:10 you know maybe for those of you who don't know what the hir
47:13 is like it's a it'sakai complex right it's like 40 is in one
47:18 place and then um and as I said like most of the people
47:22 who were there are like locals so when you actually person like
47:25 him sit next to you like oh so where from because they're
47:28 all drunk when I remember when I went there with Connor it
47:32 was the height of co and we were sitting literally in the center
47:35 of the market surrounded by people and everybody was just staring at us
47:39 because nobody had seen any foreigners for two years at that point, right?
47:44 Um it was quite surreal, but amazing place, great people.
47:47 Looking forward to going back.
47:48 Um I'm in Japan for three weeks in November and December, guys.
47:52 Uh from Saporo to him, will I miss the full colors?
47:56 Um PS, your Tohoka videos with Rio inspired our route.
47:59 Oh yeah, nice one.
48:01 Um you will not miss the full colors if you are in early November.
48:06 You should you should be all right.
48:07 Sure.
48:08 Um, Mirez says, "When it comes to Americans getting licenses in Japan,
48:12 according to a former student of my father who lives in Japan as a teacher,
48:16 some states have a special treaty with Japan that lets them
48:20 do a straight license conversion from American to Japanese." That's incredible.
48:23 Did you know that?
48:24 No.
48:24 Maybe at least Washington state wasn't like that.
48:26 My friend, where was my friend from?
48:28 He's from New Jersey and he did not have a special agreement.
48:32 He had to like go through interrogation.
48:34 I wonder what it means by special agreement because for instance, right,
48:37 what I had to do is I had to like show that I could actually
48:39 drive because American license doesn't actually tell you
48:42 whether um you can drive stick shift, right?
48:45 Manual or the um automatic, right?
48:47 So, I need you need to prove that you can do it.
48:49 That that was that was a test, but I need to I didn't have to take
48:52 any like what's that computer test or like the ones.
48:56 So, um but I don't know that I don't
48:58 if that mean if that meant special agreement or not.
49:01 Special agreement.
49:02 Um, Chris Motra, I just want to say love the videos.
49:05 Um, on the cyclopathon with Connor.
49:07 Have you Have you been on the cyclon?
49:10 No.

49:13 Too busy in style.
49:15 I mean, chocolate biscuit.
49:16 Exactly.
49:16 Um, next.
49:18 When is Riotro going to join one?
49:20 Um, when are you going to When are you going to go on the cycle?
49:24 What's your What's your We have Joey the anime man.
49:26 His excuse was is, "Oh yeah, mate.
49:28 I'm in the hammock.
49:30 I'm sitting in my hammock.
49:31 He He has a hammock.
49:33 He My excuse will be like I'll be reading your book,
49:35 the second version, second edition.
49:37 Good.
49:38 It's the perfect excuse.
49:39 Busy reading my book.
49:40 Um, would you ever make a video about
49:41 things to do during a twomonth holiday in Japan?
49:43 Wow, that's pretty long.
49:45 With some insider info.
49:46 No, but we are working on 101 things to do in Tokyo.
49:50 Why did you make it 1001?
49:52 101.
49:52 Why did Why did you add one?
49:54 Sounds nicer, more aesthetic, is it?
49:56 There's already I think there's already like two videos with 101 things.
49:59 Okay.
49:59 They're not very good.
50:01 So, we're going to do we're going to do it well.
50:02 We're going to We've spent a lot of time making this damn video.
50:05 Um, in Japan, we're doing some stuff, which is the one day.
50:09 Oh my god.
50:10 Send me travel questions.
50:11 In Japan, midsepptember, mid-occtober, right?
50:14 What's the one thing I should do in Kyoto and Osaka?
50:17 Don't ask me about Kyoto.
50:18 Don't ask.
50:19 Just go and get drunk in Autoori.
50:21 Um, Kyoto go down philosophers's path and stumble around.
50:26 That's what I like to do.
50:28 Um, try and get to the lake.
50:29 Maybe go to the lake.
50:31 Lakewa.
50:32 Oh, Lake Biwa.
50:33 Yeah, just right north of Kyoto.
50:36 That's pretty nice and like relaxing and everything.
50:39 Um, I just moved Japan.
50:40 While living here, I plan on visiting every municipality.
50:44 I'm making a video on each of them.
50:45 1,700.
50:47 Any recommendations on how and where to start?
50:50 1,700 municipalities.
50:52 If you could do like 10, I'll be amazed.
50:55 you're going to get to like the first 10 and be like, I don't want to do this.
50:58 But does it doesn't have to go like doesn't have to go that that precise.
51:01 I mean, like just one perfection is good.
51:03 27 per pictures.
51:04 Do one at a time.
51:05 Yeah.
51:06 Yeah, that's it.
51:06 Don't be like me.
51:07 Don't bite off more than you can chew.
51:09 Literally and metaphorically, unfortunately.
51:15 Um I'm wondering about getting an A74 and A72.
51:17 Which lens?
51:18 God knows.
51:19 Just get an A7.
51:20 Get an FX3.
51:21 Be done with that.
51:22 What camera are you using these days?
51:23 Uh the Sony 6000 something.
51:26 The Sony 6000 and something.
51:29 Camera that may or may not exist.
51:31 Very.
51:31 It does exist.
51:32 And you filmed your trip.
51:33 You you filmed your trip up.
51:34 No, no, no, no.
51:35 No, no, no.
51:35 It's just a um DJ Action.
51:37 Ah, action action action pool or something?
51:40 Yeah.
51:46 I mean, sorry.
51:48 M I mean imagine right if what what kind of camera
51:54 did you like take like the single lens that to the banuji?
51:58 Oh must be poor.
51:59 We took that one the Sony FX3.
52:01 Oh my god.
52:01 I mean imagine like taking that heavy camera with you to the top.
52:05 It's not fun.
52:06 We also took some action cameras though.
52:08 And to be fair it was Paul the cameraman who carried it, not me.
52:11 So I I got out lucky.
52:14 Where's he doing today?
52:15 Paul, he was supposed to help, but I think he was unfortunately ill.
52:19 Yeah, unfortunate.
52:20 That's why.
52:23 Um, Gary says, "Hello, Chris Austral.
52:25 I've been to Japan five times, learning Japanese.
52:27 I can move anywhere in Japan and work for three months with my job.
52:30 Where would you go if you were me?" Says Gary.
52:34 Anywhere.
52:35 Anywhere in Japan.
52:38 You know, depends what you want, right?

53:06 the the sceneries and you know the the animals
53:10 and whatever everything all like inclusive in that area.
53:14 Don't you don't you think?
53:14 I mean it's cold but the only problem is if you go to Hokkaido for three months
53:18 you're not going to see the rest of Japan
53:22 or three month but but it's quite large.
53:25 You got bears a lot of bears.
53:27 Grizzly bears.
53:28 You can buy bears.
53:29 It's brutal.
53:30 You can eat bears too.
53:33 I mean, look, the easy option is just Tokyo, isn't it?
53:35 Because then you could like travel comfortably anywhere.
53:37 True.
53:38 Anywhere.
53:38 And realistically, you're going to want to travel a lot.
53:41 Maybe it's quite like a common, I think,

53:46 or two months and then like can use that as a base and your Airbnb.
53:51 The Tokyo I'm just talking about.

54:06 Um, any tips for dealing with the hot days and cold nights in the mountains?
54:11 You're the expert on all of Central Asia

56:18 Mhm.
56:19 Um because it's got some orange juice.
56:22 There's literally a place where there's a tap where you
56:24 open it and orange juice comes out at the castle.
56:26 At the castle at the airport as well.
56:28 Yeah.
56:29 Airport.
56:30 Is is that it coming out?
56:37 There's also an amazing castle.
56:40 Yes.
56:40 And uh the castle's nice.
56:42 You're going to get to see it.
56:42 But also I really like Tokushima.
56:44 There's um the valley.
56:45 I Y a valley.
56:48 Um, and honestly, if if you're feeling bold, who was it that said three months?
56:53 Uh, Gary, if you're feeling bold, Gary, go to Tokushima.
56:56 Go to the valley and just live in the valley in a like a shed and wow,
57:02 that's a lot of food.
57:03 Yeah, the Valley is actually one of the places I have not been.
57:06 I really want to go.
57:07 It's home to Scarecrow Village, town called Naguro.
57:10 And I went there with Connor.
57:11 Um, and we had to cross this rope
57:14 bridge called like Kagura Bahashi or something.
57:16 Yeah.
57:17 Yeah.
57:17 It's really scary one.
57:18 It was a bridge made out of like vines and we did it in a thunderstorm.
57:21 It was remarkably scary.
57:24 Remarkably scary.
57:25 Has it been like recorded and filmed some video or something?
57:27 It's in a video.
57:28 Yeah.
57:28 Oh, really?

58:23 It's really cool.
58:24 You will need like a car.
58:25 You will need some food because I
58:27 don't think there's a single convenience store.
58:30 Get ready for that.
58:31 I think in Valley it wasn't like that before.
58:34 I think the American guy who actually came in there and then to try to like,
58:39 you know, make things nicer.
58:41 Yeah.
58:42 the buildings cuz okay the the thing is when Japanese people
58:46 try like try to renovate the Japanese buildings old Japanese buildings yeah
58:49 they try to like put it back to how it was
58:52 before right so that means that you know it's just the wind
58:56 coming from the wall and you know it's really cold and there's
58:59 no wash like in the toilet you know what I mean
59:01 to me yeah but but when someone like you wind yeah go

1:03:52 Get a good man.
1:03:53 Every every year I do that.
1:03:55 Rio looks dashing.
1:03:57 He looks like a badly customized Pokémon trainer.
1:04:02 It's true.
1:04:04 True.
1:04:05 It's like Ash fell down the stairs.
1:04:07 That that description is all right.

1:14:41 There's so many people know the way to win me over.
1:14:44 Oh, yeah.
1:14:44 That Yeah, that that that's it.
1:14:45 That's it.
1:14:45 Cuz the people know that you love you just you just
1:14:48 fell in love with Yakuri and you What's something that's not Yakuri?
1:14:52 Reese has just like left face of what looks like his dinner here.
1:14:56 Fantastic.
1:14:57 Tokushima ramen.
1:14:59 Tokushima ramen is one.
1:15:02 Tokushima ramen is like I I actually I I like Tokushima ramen.
1:15:05 I've tried several already when I was in Tokushima.
1:15:09 It's um it looks like um sukiyaki.
1:15:13 It is actually.
1:15:13 It's got the kind of sweet flavor on the uh the marinated with like you know
1:15:19 those teriyaki sauce and it's got a uh the egg the raw egg in the center.
1:15:24 You mix it and it's a ritual that you need to eat it with rice.
1:15:28 Oh, right.
1:15:28 Bought the rice because it's the sukiaki, right?
1:15:30 So, it's it goes well.
1:15:31 It goes really well with rice.
1:15:33 Makes sense.
1:15:34 Yeah.
1:15:35 I got the saver, the nikamasa, the essence.
1:15:38 That's got to win award.
1:15:39 Well, this I mean, yes.
1:15:41 3.69.
1:15:42 That means it's one of the top like the top echelon.
1:15:45 The top I can't remember the exact numbers and if I get it wrong,
1:15:48 I'll get my head dropped off.
1:15:49 This one.
1:15:50 One of the top restaurants.
1:15:51 Let's go.
1:15:52 Um, unagi for the win.
1:15:54 Kaya.
1:15:56 Very good.
1:15:56 3.74.
1:15:57 Wow, it's pretty high.
1:15:59 The overlooked most I'd say this is
1:16:01 like the most overlooked dish in Japan though.
1:16:03 Like you question for you since you've you you've
1:16:06 lived here in Japan for like such a long
1:16:08 time that what is the difference between the eastern
1:16:11 eel the grilled eel and a western grilled eel?
1:16:15 I'll be honest, I haven't clear.
1:16:18 But do you like eel though?
1:16:19 I love eel.
1:16:20 Oh yeah.
1:16:20 Cuz eastern eels you actually steam it and then grill it afterwards, right?
1:16:23 Whereas like the western eel you just grill it.
1:16:25 So it's like more crispier crispier on the western.
1:16:27 So like this is to talk about west.
1:16:28 So preference.
1:16:29 Well, I mean I I've been, you know,
1:16:31 I I grew up eating the those steamed ones, steamed and grilled ones, right?
1:16:34 But then when I actually tried the one
1:16:36 in the Mia prefecture and actually I I changed my mind.
1:16:40 I now love the crispy ones.
1:16:41 Crispy unagi.
1:16:43 Crispy unagi.
1:16:43 And yeah, Japan.
1:16:46 West Japan.
1:16:46 Where's Where's the lime?
1:16:47 Where's the invisible lime?
1:16:49 Probably Probably like uh Nagoya.
1:16:51 It's always Nagoya.
1:16:52 It's always like, you know, um, what the IG prefecture is, right?
1:16:56 Yeah.
1:16:57 Nice.

1:17:08 Well, I think some of them, some of them have been there.
1:17:10 Yeah.
1:17:11 Pretty sure that.
1:17:11 Um, but I get the impression most folks are just sort of I mean,

1:17:48 I can eat that every day.
1:17:50 Nice.
1:17:50 All right.

1:18:07 There's serious serious reason.
1:18:08 Every single live show ever done,
1:18:09 there's something has gone like horrifically wrong.
1:18:12 What is it?
1:18:13 The first live show I ever did, I've just put out a video about it.
1:18:16 It's called the worst thing I've ever done.
1:18:17 Right.
1:18:18 And the company was like, "If you promote our thing,
1:18:22 we'll give you a visa and it'll be
1:18:23 magical." This was just before I met you, actually.
1:18:25 Um, and they they arranged this live show at the Tokyo YouTube space.
1:18:28 Okay.
1:18:29 Oh, yeah.
1:18:29 Yeah.
1:18:29 I remember that.
1:18:30 There was such a space after it.
1:18:33 Yeah.
1:18:33 Yeah.
1:18:34 And Natki and I thought we're going to get
1:18:35 to perform and go on and then they were like,
1:18:37 "Actually, Natki isn't going on the sofa with you
1:18:39 and you've got to promote 12 companies now." What?
1:18:42 And it was a train.
1:18:43 And there's a great video about it just out in abroad in Japan.
1:18:46 Check it.
1:18:46 Well, I need to check them out.
1:18:47 got like an you got like a an affliction to luxury
1:18:52 just don't like doing but I'm live now and I'm over
1:18:55 it and with me and then the second worst live show
1:18:58 I ever did so what was that I was at the gin
1:19:00 distillery in Kyote okay when was this 2022 okay and the idea
1:19:07 was like oh yeah promote some gin it'll be great
1:19:10 and I drank like a whole bottle of gin because they
1:19:13 gave the live show like cut out right And what happened?
1:19:18 And uh the live show cut out halfway.
1:19:20 So they restarted it, rebooted it.
1:19:21 And they're like, "Well, we got to do it again from the opening." Even
1:19:23 though I'd been like I was 20 minutes into the show.
1:19:25 Sure.
1:19:26 I drank three cocktails.
1:19:27 And they were like, "Ah, just start it all from scratch." Started it again.
1:19:31 And then I drank it all and then I
1:19:34 like blacked out and did some awful You blacked out.
1:19:38 Yeah.
1:19:38 I didn't know what was happening.
1:19:39 Yeah.
1:19:41 And I just he was so he was and Connor
1:19:44 Connor was in Connor was in Kyoto at the time.
1:19:47 Uh and he was he wasn't with me.
1:19:49 He wasn't there for the the spectacle and the massacre,
1:19:52 but he was like in his hotel room.
1:19:53 He was just like laughing like Oh, yeah.
1:19:55 Sure.
1:19:55 Sure.
1:19:56 He did.
1:19:57 Didn't come to help me.
1:19:58 He let me.
1:19:59 It's good fun though.
1:20:00 People loved it.
1:20:00 And then the company, the gym company were like,
1:20:02 "Can you just cut out like most of the line?" Oh, no kidding.
1:20:06 So I like go to YouTube like edit out like the middle
1:20:09 hour of this show where I like got drunk and knocked over things.
1:20:14 happened.
1:20:14 Happened.
1:20:14 So this has gone.
1:20:16 It's going all right.
1:20:17 All right.
1:20:17 All right.
1:20:17 The barbecue's been the barbecue.
1:20:20 You didn't cook it.
1:20:21 The drinks.
1:20:22 You didn't cook it.
1:20:23 Neither was cooked.
1:20:24 The wonderful staff did.
1:20:26 You got the the gentle roaring of trains on the amino.
1:20:28 Yes.
1:20:29 I see.
1:20:29 I see.
1:20:30 Quite often.
1:20:30 Yeah.
1:20:31 Got non-alcoholic beer which is actually really good.
1:20:34 Like non-alcoholic beer is it's not great, is it?
1:20:38 But this is actually really nice actually.
1:20:42 It feels like its own kind of genre of drink.
1:20:44 What's it?
1:20:44 Brule lust for life.
1:20:46 Um really good.
1:20:47 I mean even I like it cuz I mean I don't drink beer so much, right?
1:20:49 I mean like no matter if it's a no alcoholic or alcoholic, but I like it.
1:20:53 It's very good.
1:20:53 Very good.
1:20:54 I've enjoyed this.
1:20:55 I think and I stole your that's alcoholic a little bit.
1:20:59 Just just that's that's why you and alcohol don't mix well.
1:21:02 Oh yeah.
1:21:03 Cuz I mean talking about blacking out cuz I
1:21:05 mean you remember like when I went to England you
1:21:08 asked you actually asked me to go to this bar
1:21:11 uh I forgot to your favorite bar or something.
1:21:14 They're like franchise bar in in London.
1:21:16 So I went to one of them right in Richmond and um so it
1:21:19 was like a uh like get get one and get one free or something.
1:21:23 You buy one cocktail bar called beer one.
1:21:26 Yeah, that's it.
1:21:26 That's it.
1:21:27 So so I didn't know that.
1:21:29 Right.
1:21:29 So I just ordered like one quite light one.
1:21:31 It came two two came and I had to like drink it up.
1:21:36 I I somehow I felt like it cuz I was you know I wasn't I
1:21:39 wasn't you know back in Richmond and everything
1:21:41 that's that's where I went right school whatever.
1:21:43 So I blacked out at Richmond session and then like hit myself right here.
1:21:49 Oh my god man.
1:21:50 Yes.
1:21:51 And so it's because of you.
1:21:52 It's not my I didn't if I point out a race I don't expect madness to unfold.
1:21:57 You you should don't can't blame me for it.
1:22:00 Ridiculous man.
1:22:02 But I'm glad you survived.
1:22:03 Yeah.
1:22:03 Where the spoons, whatever it was.
1:22:07 Any questions?
1:22:09 Question.
1:22:09 A lot of questions.
1:22:11 You can't really blame me for getting drunk even though I was 8,000 miles.
1:22:16 Oh dear.
1:22:18 All right.
1:22:18 So, 10 people get a 5,000 yen cash card.
1:22:22 Oh, that's nice.
1:22:23 And one person Yeah.
1:22:25 Is that Is that right?
1:22:27 Yeah.
1:22:27 One person gets a hundred,000 yen.
1:22:29 Make sure it's it's all correct.
1:22:30 I almost feel like with great power comes great responsibility.
1:22:34 I feel like that's kind of scary that I have
1:22:37 to pick someone who will win a h 100red,000 yen,
1:22:40 which isn't quite a lot of money really.
1:22:43 I said like right number of zeros there.
1:22:45 Yeah.
1:22:45 Oh my god.
1:22:46 I I almost think you should choose because then Well,
1:22:49 you can just get rid of the the responsibility
1:22:51 that you I can get rid of the responsibility.
1:22:54 Yes.
1:22:54 Um how who I mean chat, who do you think should win actually?
1:22:58 Yeah.
1:22:58 Why don't we just let everyone else decide?
1:23:00 Oh, that's true.
1:23:01 That's true.
1:23:01 Lots of good people watching.
1:23:02 Um, who do you think of the restaurants we showed earlier?
1:23:05 Yeah.
1:23:06 Um, who do you think should win 100,000 yen?
1:23:12 This is ridiculous.
1:23:12 This is insane.
1:23:14 So much money.
1:23:15 So, well, everything's generosity knows no bounds.
1:23:19 It's very generous.
1:23:20 All the places looked really nice.
1:23:21 Actually, you guys like recommended really nice ones.

1:23:33 And also, yeah, there's 10 more people that could win stuff as well.
1:23:37 5,000 yen, which is pretty cool.
1:23:40 But 100,000 yen.
1:23:42 It's crazy.
1:23:43 100,000.
1:23:44 Charlotte says the ramen one.
1:23:45 I mean, the ramen one says ramen.
1:23:47 To be fair, the ramen was pretty epic.
1:23:50 Riot should win.
1:23:52 See, people know me, right?
1:23:55 They know.
1:23:56 They know I'm a wizard.
1:23:59 Maybe I should Maybe I should comment later on.
1:24:01 Oh, is this like is this been these the 11
1:24:04 people will be we decided during this time?
1:24:07 Now, right here, right now, somebody's going to win 100,000 yen.
1:24:11 And it's not like a competition.
1:24:13 It's like you just Yeah,
1:24:15 it's a serious competition like somebody will message you
1:24:18 on Twitter and just give you a 100,000 yen cash.
1:24:22 It's crazy.
1:24:22 It's amazing.
1:24:23 Wow.

1:24:24 Pretty good.
1:24:25 100,000 yen for recommending.
