Awesome Gaming Tech That You (or someone special) Will Love

Senpai

0:00 If you're shopping for a gamer or a streamer this holiday season,

0:03 first of all, I'm sorry.

0:04 We're extremely picky, mildly chaotic,

0:06 and we definitely definitely don't need another game

0:09 in our Steam library that we'll never play.

0:11 So, that's what this list is for.

0:12 I'm going to help you buy something that they will actually use because almost

0:16 everything on this list is something I've

0:17 used every day for the last couple months.

0:20 They're going to love it.

0:24 Every year, my wife struggles to buy me

0:26 a Christmas gift because if I want something, I just buy it for myself.

0:29 It's a It's a gamer thing.

0:30 That's what we do.

0:31 Nobody bought us the right thing growing up,

0:33 so we got used to buying it ourselves.

0:35 But that's why this video exists.

0:36 I've got a solid list of kind of unique,

0:39 underappreciated gamer gifts that I absolutely love.

0:42 And I've categorized them into three different categories.

0:45 We've got the under $50, which I've got quite a few of.

0:47 We've got the nice gifts, which can go up to maybe $2 $300.

0:51 And then I got a couple bougie gifts that really say I love you

0:55 or I feel really guilty about something and I want you to forget about it.

0:58 This list is full of good gifts and not the obvious ones.

1:01 Like, I'm not going to say a PS5.

1:02 If they want a PS5, get them a PS5.

1:04 And also important, there's only one sponsored item on this list.

1:07 The rest of them I bought myself.

1:09 So, let's get started.

1:10 The first one is $15, and it's for the gamer that likes to snack,

1:14 but then doesn't want to get crumbs everywhere,

1:16 which is I feel like that's every single gamer.

1:18 These little chopsticks are by a company called Snaptive,

1:20 and they hook around your finger,

1:22 so you can wear them while you're using a mouse or a controller,

1:24 and then you can feed your face between moments of action.

1:27 No more Dorito fingers ever.

1:30 This is a no-brainer.

1:31 It's a subtle gift that says, "I love you,

1:33 but please stop Dorito dusting the entire [music] house."

1:36 Number two seems like the laziest one on the list,

1:38 but it's near the front because it's probably

1:40 the best thing you can give a gamer.

1:41 A gift card.

1:42 I meant it when I said our PCs are

1:44 full of games that we've bought and then never touched.

1:47 Don't add to that list.

1:48 Just get your gamer a Steam gift card, a Nintendo gift card,

1:52 an Amazon gift card, and let them get exactly what they want.

1:55 Just make sure they say thank you when it comes in.

1:57 And even better, when they choose the thing, let them explain it to you.

2:01 Oh my gosh, that's that's probably the number one on this list.

2:04 Let them explain why they bought the thing that they bought.

2:07 You will thank me for that.

2:08 Or or really hate me for that.

2:11 It could be either one.

2:12 Number three, this tiny little Bluetooth controller is $25.

2:16 It's portable.

2:17 It's light.

2:17 You can throw it in a bag and it'll be fine.

2:20 And it makes every retro game feel like it's magically aged backwards.

2:23 This one in particular I've been testing out because I heard

2:25 a lot of great things and I can stand by them.

2:28 Sure, the buttons feel a little bit cheap, but it's $25 and it's got two analog

2:32 sticks that I haven't had any drift with yet.

2:33 Plus, it's cheap enough that if they rage throw it against the wall,

2:36 it's not the end of the world.

2:37 But the one issue I ran into with this is it's not compatible with the Switch 2.

2:40 So, if you're looking for something a little

2:42 bit beefier and maybe a little bit more compatible,

2:45 this is the 8bit do Ultimate.

2:47 Actually, this is the Ultimate 2.

2:49 The Ultimate original got great reviews and the Ultimate 2 is also awesome.

2:53 It's got Hall effect triggers, Hall effect sticks,

2:55 switches on the back to change to hair trigger mode,

2:58 and four custom buttons on the back and on the top

3:00 that you can program on the controller itself.

3:02 No software needed.

3:03 On top of that, it just feels solid.

3:05 And I got this for like $55.

3:08 Technically, it's outside the $50 category,

3:10 but I'm going to put it in there anyway cuz it's so close.

3:13 Let me talk to you about something I've loved so much.

3:15 I've bought it four times.

3:17 I don't mean replaced it.

3:18 I mean I have it in four different places,

3:20 and it is my side table phone charger.

3:22 This is the only charger that I can find that charges everything.

3:27 It's MagSafe Chi 2 for your phone.

3:29 It's got an Apple Watch charger.

3:30 It's got an AirPods charger.

3:31 And it has two extra ports on the side with the built-in 65 watt GAN charger.

3:35 I no longer have to reach under my side table to plug in my laptop charger.

3:39 I can plug it right into my phone charger.

3:41 I I I can't go back to whatever I did before

3:44 to charge my phone and my laptop at the same time.

3:46 And if you have a beefier laptop, maybe you edit videos in bed on a MacBook Pro,

3:49 they have a 100 watt version also with an extra port.

3:53 It's a little bit more expensive, but the pricing around this is kind of crazy.

3:56 Anyway, the smaller one is listed at $100,

3:59 but I think I got it at 50 and I've seen it at like 20 on Amazon.

4:03 So, search around.

4:05 And for the last one on this list,

4:07 streamers love absolutely anything that has their name on it.

4:10 A custom LED gamer tag to sit behind them not only upgrades their stream,

4:13 but also upgrades their ego.

4:14 Again, I'm sorry.

4:15 This one also slightly misses the mark at $60.

4:18 I should have just made the first category under $60.

4:20 That would have made a lot more sense.

4:21 Let's jump into category number two and start talking about some nicer gifts.

4:25 And let's start by talking about some webcams.

4:28 This webcam right now that I'm actually using is called the Obs Me 2.

4:32 And it's this tiny little thing,

4:33 but it shoots in 4K 30 super high quality image.

4:37 And it's only $129.

4:39 Except right now for Black Friday, it's 28% off,

4:43 which brings it down to about $95.

4:45 HubSpot is also the sponsor of this video.

4:47 So, thank you, OSBot.

4:48 But this thing is awesome.

4:49 It's teenytiny.

4:50 It comes in three different colors with a magnetic stand.

4:52 And that magnetic stand actually allows you

4:54 to mount it either horizontally or vertically.

4:57 And when you rotate the camera itself,

4:59 your video feed in your software also automatically rotates.

5:02 Vertical streaming is picking up steam.

5:04 And the meat, too, it makes it a little bit easier.

5:06 It's got a premium sensor built into it,

5:08 which is why it just looks good right out of the box.

5:10 In fact, I haven't tweaked this image at all.

5:12 This is just how it looks.

5:13 And it even looks good in low light.

5:15 So, if you like gaming or streaming

5:17 with the lights down low, well, there you go.

5:19 It's also got some AI features like AI reframing.

5:22 So, if you move around, it keeps you in the center of the frame.

5:24 And you can activate that just by using gestures in front of the camera.

5:28 But if digital refframing isn't your thing,

5:29 you want one of those little webcams that have the motors that [music] make it,

5:32 you know, move around like this.

5:34 Well, what a convenient segue to start talking about the Obsot Tiny 2 Lite.

5:38 This thing has the exact same camera built into it as the Meat 2.

5:41 So, same high quality 4K 30 image, but it's got two little motors built into it.

5:47 That's fun.

5:48 It lets it do things like track you in real time.

5:51 And it's very good.

5:51 By the way, I've tried juking this thing.

5:54 Can't do it.

5:55 But another reason gimbal webcams are super dope,

5:57 even if you don't like the like following you around feature,

6:00 is that you can set presets on these things.

6:03 So, for example, you've got one camera angle

6:05 that points at your seat while you're sitting down.

6:07 You got another camera angle that points at the middle

6:09 of your room for when you're standing up.

6:10 And then you got a third camera angle for when you're

6:13 thinking about the political and economic state of the world right now.

6:18 Anyway, swap between these three camera angles using hotkeys.

6:21 Now, you've got three cameras for the price of one.

6:23 Autofocus on these webcams is also very good.

6:25 It uses the same phase detect autofocus technology that my big boy camera uses.

6:31 So, if you're looking for a good deal on a good webcam right now,

6:34 I'll put a link to both of these webcams in the description below.

6:37 And also, make sure you use the code that's

6:39 down there or that's on the screen right now,

6:41 you can use that on both their website and on Amazon.

6:43 It's going to give you the full discount,

6:44 which is 33% off the Tiny 2 Lite and 28% off [music] the Meat 2.

6:48 Let's go to the next thing.

6:50 When gamers get into their mid to late30s,

6:52 they start to yearn for a simpler time with simpler games.

6:56 These retro little handheld emulators are awesome.

6:59 They're also everywhere.

7:01 You'll see them all over Tik Tok shop if you search it once.

7:04 But the company that's made one of the biggest names in the space is Amberick.

7:07 They've got some hits and some misses,

7:09 but for the most part, you're going to get a reliable product.

7:11 And last year, my wife bought me this one.

7:13 This is kind of a nicer one.

7:14 It's got two sticks, and it can go up to, I think,

7:15 some GameCube games on here, and it was $199.

7:19 But they have some that go down to close

7:22 to the $50 category if you want something simpler.

7:24 They've got some clam shell designs.

7:25 They got a new slider design that's got some pretty good reviews.

7:28 But what I can tell you is this is the most used game system I

7:31 have because I play it with my four-year-old

7:34 every single night before we go to bed.

7:35 But here's a pro tip for you.

7:36 If you're getting this for a gamer significant other,

7:39 pick up a tiny little cheap micro SD card and load

7:42 it with a couple games before you give it to them.

7:44 If my wife had given this to me

7:46 for Christmas and handed me the SD card and said,

7:48 "Hey, I put five games on here that we

7:50 can play together." We'd have a third kid.

7:53 Use that power responsibly.

7:55 If your gamer is the kind that just has everything,

7:58 here's something that's more gaming adjacent.

8:00 Bamboo Lab's cheapest printer, the A1 Mini,

8:02 is downright amazing, especially for the price.

8:05 It does everything their big printers do, just smaller.

8:08 And right now, it's 33% off at $200 instead of $300.

8:12 So, if your gamer is anything like me and is a huge tinkerer,

8:15 they're going to love this.

8:16 It is crazy how cheap it is,

8:18 but I also understand it because it is a gateway drug.

8:21 I apologize in advance because if you get this for them in a year,

8:25 their setup might look a little bit more like that and that is not $200.

8:29 We also can't forget Black Friday deals

8:31 and a lot of them land in this price category.

8:33 I reached out to a bunch of my contacts that I have

8:35 at these gaming companies and so if you're looking for a deal,

8:37 I've got a lightning round of Black Friday sales for you.

8:39 Top of my list there is the Stream Deck Plus at $160, down from 200.

8:43 The Mic Arm Pro, which is awesome I'm using right now,

8:45 which is 22% off down to $140.

8:48 And the prompter, one of my favorite Elgato devices ever,

8:51 is 33% off from $300 down to $200.

8:55 My favorite USB microphone, the Beacon Mic,

8:57 which is usually pretty pricey, is 23% off down to $270.

9:01 A Media also has some great deals on some of their capture cards right now.

9:04 And the Roland Bridgecast 1,

9:06 one of my favorite microphone interfaces for gamers and streamers

9:09 that I actually worked on an update with them.

9:11 Video on that probably showing on the screen right now.

9:13 That's 25% off right now down to $150.

9:17 Roland and Beacon also have a bunch of other devices on sale right now, too.

9:20 Look, I said I had some bougie gifts, and I do,

9:22 but I hate doing these because if you're going to spend a lot of money,

9:24 it's usually going to be on something real, real particular.

9:27 So, one of these is just an insane value that I feel like you should know about.

9:31 Maybe it'll help one of you.

9:33 And the other one is something that came out

9:34 recently that [music] I it's like my new favorite thing.

9:38 The first one is a camera.

9:39 The Lumix S5 Mark II is, in my opinion,

9:42 the best valued camera you can buy for a YouTuber or I'd say

9:47 priced low enough for even an aspiring

9:49 YouTuber because right now it's only $1,500.

9:52 And I know that sounds crazy,

9:53 but I used to shoot all my videos on a Sony FX3, which is about $4,000.

9:58 And 2 and a half years ago,

9:59 I switched to Lumix and I've shot every video since then on this $1,500 camera.

10:04 It's full-frame.

10:05 It shoots in 6K and it shoots open gate,

10:08 meaning it shoots taller, allowing you to crop for vertical content much easier.

10:12 So, if your gamer is also an aspiring content creator and you're

10:15 looking to get him a real big boy camera without spending three grand,

10:19 this is by far the best choice.

10:21 The other bougie gift is a little bit cheaper.

10:22 It's $600, but it's something I've used every day since it's come out,

10:26 and that is the Elgato Prompter XL.

10:28 If you're not familiar with it,

10:29 it's a teleprompter that works like a second screen for your computer.

10:32 I use it for reading scripts on my videos.

10:34 I use it for having face-toface Zoom calls where I'm not staring down like this.

10:38 And it's big enough that I can just normally use it as a second monitor.

10:41 And when I stream, I can put my Twitch chat right

10:43 on there to look at my audience while I'm talking to chat.

10:46 But that's my list.

10:47 Hope it was helpful.

10:48 If something was especially cool to you,

10:50 please put it in the comments so maybe the less knowledgeable people

10:53 coming here for this video know which one might be the best option.

10:56 Like and subscribe if you haven't already.

10:57 And as always, I'll see you in the next one.

10:59 Happy streaming.
