I Tested Camera Bags From $35 to $1000+ (Here’s What’s Actually Worth It)
Chris Hau
0:00 If you're in the market for a new camera bag,
0:02 I have some great suggestions for you and I'm also doing
0:04 a giveaway which I'll talk about a little bit later in this video.
0:07 But let's get right into it.
0:08 Starting off with cross body and sling [music] bags.
0:10 Our first bag is the most affordable in our entire lineup and I
0:14 actually think it has the most value to like price point ratio.
0:17 So this is a camera pouch sling bag from KN&F Concept.
0:21 Few reasons why I love this bag.
0:22 One, the material feels like quite premium on it.
0:25 It's got magnets in the top so that it instantly closes.
0:28 You can just roll it up.
0:29 The inside of it is extremely soft so that you know
0:32 that you can protect your camera as well as your lenses.
0:35 I think ultimately this would fit like a small camera and a lens in it.
0:38 It would also carry your like passport,
0:40 a few pens, and a few like day accessories.
0:42 So, additionally, I think everyone should just have something
0:44 like [music] this in their bag cuz number one,
0:46 it could protect your camera if you wanted to just
0:48 throw it into a backpack rather than a camera bag.
0:50 You could also throw this into your camera
0:51 bag to protect another lens that's in it.
0:54 And now you have a day bag with [music] you.
0:56 And I think as somebody who travels a lot,
0:58 I don't always want to carry my like full camera bag
1:00 with me and I just want to carry like one or two items.
1:02 I can throw it into this, which is like very trendy and super [music] cool.
1:06 Has a few other like practical like applications.
1:08 One, you can literally even clip this to the side
1:10 of your camera to turn [music] this into a camera strap.
1:14 What is becoming extremely popular these days is people are actually just
1:17 adding these like little nubbins to their phones for like a little clip.
1:20 [music] And now you can turn this into a phone kind of like side carry.
1:24 You have a wide variety of pockets within it.
1:28 You got high quality materials.
1:29 You've got a soft inside liner.
1:31 And for 36 bucks, I think this is absolutely like
1:34 a no-brainer in terms of just like a day carry bag.
1:36 Comes in a few different colorways.
1:38 But I would just say KF Concept.
1:40 Again, I think you have made the [music]
1:42 best affordable camera bag on the market, especially in the sling area.
1:46 This [music] is great.
1:47 So, for our next sling and cross body bag, we are jumping up in price point,
1:51 but we're also jumping pretty high in quality,
1:53 and that is the Nomadic Peter McKinnon Messenger bag.
1:56 This one comes in two different sizes.
1:58 The one that I'm holding here is the 13 L.
2:00 But what I love about this bag is that I
2:02 can fit a 14in MacBook Pro in [music] the bag,
2:06 which means that I can go and do a day trip where
2:08 I'm working at a coffee shop and also bring a camera body,
2:11 a lens, and even a drone if I wanted to.
2:13 And because this is specifically designed as a camera bag,
2:16 you're getting access to like SD card slots here,
2:19 battery areas, a few little accessory like slidein points.
2:22 [music] But my favorite part of this bag is
2:25 that you have this little elastic tab right here
2:27 where you can clip it on and you don't
2:28 have to fully zip up your [music] camera bag.
2:30 Which means that if you have to quickly switch out a lens,
2:32 let's say you're even using it,
2:34 like on a shoot, you can just pull the tab right here, open it up,
2:37 switch everything out, pull the tab right back,
2:40 have the little safety locking mechanism that they just designed here to make
2:43 sure that it doesn't just like slide when you're out like walking around.
2:46 And now you have a very like accessible camera bag.
2:49 I also think that these are extremely weatherproof,
2:52 which is really nice because if you're out there and just something hits you,
2:54 whether it's snow or rain, you know that your camera gear is protected.
2:58 And because you're going to be carrying a laptop in this bag,
3:00 every time you add a laptop, it always gets so heavy.
3:03 That's like the breaking point on the shoulders.
3:05 At least [music] the like padding on the shoulder pad right here means
3:07 that you can go a little bit longer and it feels quite comfortable.
3:10 If you are traveling internationally with this bag,
3:12 one thing that I do love is that it also has this like little like tab
3:15 right here where you can slide that right
3:17 into your carry-on luggage right behind the handle.
3:19 So again, anything that Peter McKinnon puts his name on, you [music] know,
3:22 is going to have a high quality design.
3:24 But at the end of the day, it also comes with a higher price point.
3:27 Nomadic also just released new colorways for this bag.
3:29 So if you're into like the coyote look,
3:31 if you want [music] some more of that like dark olive green,
3:33 you have a few options available for you as well as sizes and colorways.
3:36 I think Nomatic makes a great camera bag.
3:38 One of my favorite camera bags in general has always been the 25 L from Nomadic.
3:42 This is the messenger sling option that's [music] available for you.
3:45 Great bag.
3:45 So, now we're going to jump up in price point again,
3:48 but now you're even getting higher quality materials.
3:51 So, we're going to be talking about a new brand that kind of feels
3:53 like they entered the camera [music] bag space basically in the last year.
3:57 I first got introduced to them through
3:59 Siobhan Solomon when we were doing a podcast
4:01 together on this channel and he brought out
4:03 his leather camera bag and I was like,
4:04 "This is the most beautiful camera bag [music] I've
4:07 ever seen." and they've introduced a new sling bag.
4:10 This is the Grahams 28302 [music] adventure sling bag and it
4:15 uses this Xpack material which is basically like a sail cloth.
4:18 So, it's very like durable, it's also like weather resistant.
4:21 But I would also say that my first like opinion on this bag is
4:24 that although it is probably the best [music] looking sling bag I've ever seen,
4:29 it does still feel like a first attempt into the camera bag space,
4:34 but a very good first attempt,
4:36 but still some areas where I'd love to see some improvement.
4:38 So, if you're someone that loves like urban street photography,
4:41 you like high quality materials, maybe you're shooting with Leica,
4:44 maybe you're shooting with Fujifilm, I think this bag would give you enough room
4:47 for a camera body and two lenses and a few accessories.
4:50 The one area that I noticed,
4:51 especially cuz I like to carry my like either iPad or laptop [music] around
4:55 with me because I like to go out and work and then post things.
4:57 I did find that even though my 14-inch MacBook Pro did fit,
5:02 it still kind of protruded a little bit out of the side.
5:05 So, it does clip down, but it does still have a small gap there.
5:09 that could be like not a big deal to you, but for me,
5:12 it's just one of those things where like I would have loved to seen
5:14 just a little bit more depth for your average like laptop use case,
5:18 not just an iPad use [music] case.
5:20 I do love the additional pockets that it has inside of it.
5:23 You can fit a lot of memory cards just
5:25 in this like little like storage area right here.
5:28 You have a few other access points right here in the front where
5:30 you can fit either a few small accessories as well as your battery.
5:33 I think ultimately at the end of the day,
5:35 the Grahams bags are definitely designed for someone who
5:38 likes a higher quality looking aesthetic and that also
5:41 works because they're new in the space
5:42 that nobody really knows that it's a camera bag.
5:45 So, this will serve a great advantage to you because I don't
5:47 think people are going to assume that there's a highquality item inside.
5:50 So, your security at the end of the day is going to be increased and it's
5:54 also going to be matched with incredible high-quality
5:56 buckle design as well as like leather accent pieces.
5:59 I think this is a beautiful camera [music] bag and it feels really great,
6:03 but I don't think I'm going to be grabbing this as often.
6:05 You can tell that Graham28 really cares about getting into the photography
6:08 space in a legit way and they want to build great bags.
6:11 Mark Bon has talked very highly about this bag on another one of our podcast,
6:14 but they've also just done a collab with Johnny Romes
6:17 who is an amazing photographer and their latest bag series which
6:20 has a new colorway as well as the adventure sling
6:22 a camera bag [music] and a few other options looks incredible.
6:25 That means that they're investing back into the camera
6:27 community and into R&D to make a better bag.
6:30 So, I would say that probably in the next few years,
6:32 we're going to see a lot of Grahams 28 bags out in the world being used on set.
6:36 All right, so this video is brought to you by Art List.
6:38 Now, they've just launched their new AI toolkit,
6:41 and let me give you a breakdown of how I made
6:43 this guitar transition for my friend Cole Roland's new music video.
6:47 So, I had this idea where the guitar was floating in space and then
6:50 he comes in and grabs it and then starts shredding the solo from the song.
6:53 But, I needed like a starting point.
6:54 So I said, "Cool, do you have a photo
6:56 of your guitar?" And this is what he sent me,
6:59 an iPhone photo, but it was something to work with.
7:01 So I took that photo and I brought it into Nano Banana Pro and I gave it prompts
7:06 to make it more of a commercial like dark
7:09 moody cinematic advertisement and this is what it generated.
7:13 So then I wanted to create this transition.
7:14 So I selected the generative AI model Clling 01 Turbo.
7:18 I uploaded this photo as the first start frame.
7:21 Then I went into the music video, found the beginning of the guitar solo,
7:24 exported that as a JPEG, and made that the end frame.
7:27 Then I used the prompt, a guitarist walks into the room,
7:29 grabs the guitar right before he's about to shred.
7:32 And this is what it generated.
7:33 Then I spiced up this edit by using Artless
7:35 Premiere Pro plugins and added the grunge flicker effect,
7:39 and [music] I think this paired perfectly with this type of music.
7:41 So if you guys want to go and test these out yourself,
7:43 you can head over to artlist.io io or click the link in the description
7:47 for a special offer so that you can get access to the best music,
7:50 sound effects, templates, and now generative AI models,
7:53 including Artless own Generative AI model and Gro Imagine.
7:57 Plus, coming soon is Artless Studio,
7:59 which moves beyond prompts and allows you control every stage of the process.
8:03 So, click the link in the description
8:05 and thank you Artless for sponsoring this video.
8:06 And now, back to my top rated camera bags.
8:09 And we're going to end off this section of the sling and the cross
8:12 body bags with the most expensive and luxurious option that's available to you.
8:16 But I have little to no experience with this bag, but manager Matt,
8:19 who is on my team, has extensive [music] experience,
8:22 so he's going to speak to it.
8:24 So, I tend to care about the small details.
8:26 I like nice things, and I know
8:28 that sometimes people think that I'm a little bougie.
8:30 My dad used to say that I wanted the keg on a McDonald's budget.
8:34 [music] Now that I'm a little bit older,
8:36 I like putting nice things into nice bags.
8:38 And so I wanted to show this one that I absolutely love.
8:41 This is the Overworth Harry [music] and Sally.
8:44 And this is like a nice mixture between
8:46 a cross body shoulder bag and a messenger bag.
8:48 And it's got good slots specifically for camera gear.
8:52 So this is my Leica and Fujifilm bag.
8:54 And this is when I want to travel a little bit light,
8:56 but I want a lot of stuff in it.
8:58 So it carries my journal, my pen, my iPad, maybe two to three Leica lenses,
9:03 or if I'm doing a different setup, it's got two camera bodies at least.
9:07 You've got SD card slots.
9:08 [music] You've got beautiful craftsmanship.
9:11 Handmade in Germany with 100% vegetable tanned leather from [music] Tuskanyany.
9:16 Everything I love.
9:17 Okay, so this bag screams me.
9:20 And that's why I feel like this is such
9:22 an important bag for certain people that think [music] like me.
9:25 And it's also about your use case.
9:26 When I think about shooting weddings or doing portraits,
9:29 I always wanted a bag that felt [music] relaxed.
9:31 I didn't want a backpack.
9:33 I wanted something that just blended in whether I was wearing a suit,
9:36 whether I was wearing all black for a private event,
9:39 and I just wanted [music] to be able to wear a bag that was beautiful, right?
9:43 So, this is the bag for me.
9:44 This is the bag that might be for you.
9:46 When [music] you think about well- constructed things,
9:49 there's a little bit of a caveat, right?
9:50 You don't have an interchangeable strap,
9:52 but it is going to be flexible enough so you can change the length.
9:56 [music] So, is this a great bag?
9:57 Absolutely.
9:58 Now, the only thing is the price point.
10:00 So, these bags start [music] well over 1,000 USD and they
10:03 go even further depending on the size of the bag.
10:05 That's something to consider.
10:06 But if you like nice things and you want to put something nice into it,
10:10 this might be the bag.
10:10 And while this is expensive, you have to remember that it is a luxury item.
10:14 This is something that has incredible German craftsmanship.
10:17 It has great leather from Tuscany.
10:19 It's all those tiny details as well as when it arrives,
10:22 you get a nice little signature from the person
10:24 that made it with their bare hands.
10:26 All right, so now we're going to move on to your traditional camera bag.
10:29 something that's going to hold quite a few lenses,
10:31 maybe a drone, your laptop, a bunch of accessories.
10:34 This is like the bag that you want to use
10:35 if you're going out for a shoot or if you're traveling.
10:38 I am honestly I'm just going to kickstart with my favorite
10:40 one that's hitting all the marks on price point,
10:43 quality, functionality, and that is from PGY Tech, not Pewek.
10:48 In last year's camera bag video, I called it Pew Tech.
10:50 I apologize PGY Tech.
10:52 You make an amazing product.
10:54 This is the latest in their OneMo series.
10:56 This is the tactical bag.
10:58 And I think this is going to be my camera bag moving [music] forward.
11:01 And the reason why is because there is just
11:03 so much functionality at a price point of $219 USD.
11:09 Number one, it comes in two colorways.
11:10 It comes in black, which is cool, but in the camo color.
11:13 Oh, this just looks so good.
11:15 It has two entry points.
11:16 So, if you have two camera bodies,
11:18 you can zip the top, grab a camera body from there,
11:20 and then you also have a side entry zip
11:22 where you can grab a camera body from there.
11:24 It has so much space in it.
11:25 And I want to like talk about space specifically
11:28 because a lot of camera bags will put thick
11:30 dividers or things that don't feel like they have
11:31 enough protection in between the lenses or the camera bodies.
11:35 I found that they have hit the perfect [music] mark in terms of like
11:38 strong rigid durability where it's thin but you also feel like it's protecting.
11:43 And when the things are thinner, it allows you to fit more into it.
11:46 So I have the 35 L bag.
11:48 I can fit a gimbal into the front.
11:50 I can fit a drone into the top.
11:51 I can fit up to like maybe six or seven lenses,
11:54 two camera bodies, my charger, like it fits absolutely everything.
11:58 It's got a very like tough material on the outside.
12:01 It's got a really nice back to it, which means that it's breathable.
12:04 It means that there's space for like air to like flow in [music] when you're
12:07 hiking with all this camera gear cuz like when you have a bag that heavy,
12:11 that's what's going to happen.
12:11 Your back's going to be sweating afterwards.
12:13 I think there's good air flow.
12:15 I think there's great support.
12:16 There's a lot of functionality.
12:17 creating more support by adding like a waist
12:20 buckle that you can just attach right onto it.
12:22 For me, I still feel like they haven't quite nailed where the laptop goes.
12:26 The sleeve still feels a little loose.
12:28 Although you can fit like an iPad and a laptop in there,
12:31 it just doesn't feel the most secure to me.
12:33 If I was to unzip this, it's only being
12:35 like held in place by like a little Velcro area.
12:38 So, for me, I would like to see a more secure laptop solution there.
12:42 And I also feel like there's a missed
12:43 opportunity for storage on the inside of the foldout.
12:46 A lot of camera bags will give you options to put like small accessories there.
12:49 It's like they don't even add that as an option.
12:51 It's just like smooth on that side.
12:53 So, I would say on the next iteration of this PGY Tech,
12:56 like just add this and then you have the perfect camera bag.
12:59 This bag actually holds on the zipper point.
13:01 Like a lot of different camera bags out there,
13:03 but I actually had a camera bag fail one time.
13:05 I was shooting Formula 1.
13:07 It was just one of those experiences like
13:09 really my camera bag failed now both zippers.
13:12 I had to walk around like this to do the final
13:14 part of the shoot in a pinch for whatever reason.
13:16 I don't I've never had a PGY Tech bag fail on the zippers, but if they did,
13:21 at least you have this little clip right here that could save you in a pinch.
13:26 In addition to that, those clips just like
13:28 can go right over top of your zippers here,
13:30 so they're not going to get snagged on anything,
13:32 and it adds another layer of safety.
13:34 So for me, just those details and those consideration
13:37 points in a bag design between 1 year,
13:41 I can only imagine what next year's PGY Tech 1 Mo will look like.
13:44 And I love that it has military
13:46 inspiration because now when I'm traveling around,
13:49 you know, your boy's Canadian.
13:50 [music] And I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing PGY
13:53 Tech bags being used more often in the creative community.
13:56 I think these are the best value bang
13:58 for your buck if you need to store your gear.
14:00 Like I mentioned at the beginning of this video,
14:02 we are doing a giveaway of a PGY Tech bag.
14:05 All you need to do is drop a comment below telling us
14:08 which bag you're currently using and what is your dream camera bag.
14:12 Also, make sure you subscribe to our newsletter
14:13 where we'll be announcing the winner
14:15 of the PGY Tech bag and I'll also announce it on my Instagram channels.
14:18 So, if you want to have the double notifications, you can follow me there, too.
14:21 The next one is a staple in the camera bag
14:23 lineup and that's why they get a recommendation again in 2026.
14:26 That is the Peter McKinnon lineup of bags from Nomadic.
14:29 They have three different liter sizes depending on like
14:32 the gear that you need to bring with you.
14:33 I've used all of them extensively.
14:35 The Luma is 18 L and comes in around 230 USD.
14:39 The 25 L, which is like the best like average size that you need.
14:43 It's kind of like my go-to bag for almost all of my production needs.
14:47 And that lands around 400 USD.
14:49 And for an additional $20 more, you can actually step into their 35 L.
14:53 But in my only opinion on the 35 L is that it's quite a large bag.
14:57 like I feel very much like a turtle carrying
14:59 it around and I also feel like it's quite heavy.
15:01 But the trade-off is that I've never felt like
15:03 my gear is ever going to be damaged [music]
15:05 in this and there's a lot of functionality and flexibility
15:07 again which is a classic of the Nomadic brand.
15:09 [music] So again, they get recommended because they
15:12 are a staple in the camera bag industry.
15:14 I think the quality is there.
15:15 Again, Peter puts his name on it and he spent a lot
15:18 of time putting feedback into this until it hit the market.
15:20 And I would say that there's the right size for every single creator out there
15:23 as well as some new color waste in the Luma as well as the 25 L.
15:26 And I think the tan one, coyote tan, looks absolutely smashing.
15:30 We're going to move on to a bit more
15:32 of a luxury option for the photography enthusiasts out there.
15:36 I wouldn't call the next ones photography bags.
15:38 These are more travel bags,
15:40 lifestyle bags that have photography inserts or photography options.
15:44 But we're going to be talking about Grahams 28 again,
15:46 which is a highg goods accessible luxury brand that makes leather travel goods.
15:50 And I like a lot of their travel goods.
15:52 their wallet and their cross body bag for travel are my go-to staples,
15:56 but now they've actually had a few options
15:58 where you can travel with [music] your camera gear.
16:00 Now, they have the stealth option and the transit option.
16:02 Both options I've used extensively, and again,
16:05 I think they fit more into like a casual lifestyle environment.
16:08 For me personally, I like to use the stealth bag when I'm heading downtown.
16:11 I want to bring my laptop.
16:12 I can easily throw in the power charger,
16:14 my like different SSDs, all the things I need,
16:17 and then maybe a camera if I think I'm going to go out and shoot later.
16:20 So, I can bring like an X100V.
16:22 I can bring a camera body and like one lens.
16:24 And then I also know I'm just going to be
16:25 storing maybe some food or like a, you know,
16:28 light jacket or some other clothing options if I want to go
16:30 to the gym later or if I'm going out for like a date night,
16:33 whatever the thing might be.
16:34 This is more of a bag that fits an elevated luxury travel experience
16:38 or more of like a downtown
16:40 elevated experience rather than being photography ccentric.
16:43 Now, I wanted to mention specifically with the Transit bag is that Mark Bone,
16:46 who's a documentary filmmaker, actually uses this bag when he travels.
16:50 He even has a fully rigged up FX6 that he throws into the bag.
16:54 He opens it up.
16:55 He loves that it's like luxury but inconspicuous at the same time,
16:58 and then he can still go and use it.
17:00 So, again, it's more of like a hybrid bag.
17:02 You're going to throw a t-shirt in there,
17:04 a sweater that you're going to like throw on later,
17:06 but you can also throw a camera in there.
17:08 And there are a few kind of like inserts that you can like pick from.
17:11 For me, I don't really like inserts.
17:14 I like when a bag is serving the function
17:16 of a bag rather than trying to be everything to everyone.
17:19 But I don't think there are a lot of highquality luxury options out there.
17:22 So, with this bag at a price point of around $900 to $1,000,
17:26 which obviously sounds like a lot, I think they're doing a great job and they're
17:30 definitely aspiring to get into the camera space,
17:33 but they're very tiptoeing with these products where they're like,
17:36 "We're good at travel bags.
17:38 There's photography options." But I wanted to mention it cuz I still
17:41 think they're beautiful and I still think there's a place for them.
17:43 If I'm being picky and considering I know their place in the market,
17:47 this is a more delicate [music] bag.
17:49 You're going to have to maintain this bag.
17:51 You're going to have to like make sure
17:52 that the leather is being like conditioned properly.
17:54 But the one thing to point out specifically is
17:56 that a lot of their like buckles and their clips,
17:58 although so beautiful, it doesn't take that long for them to get scratched.
18:03 And that might be a patina or something that you absolutely love the look
18:06 of, but for a lot of people who are spending money like this on a camera bag,
18:09 I think they're going to want to baby it.
18:11 So, I think this serves more of like a lifestyle bag,
18:15 and there is a place in the market for that.
18:17 So, again, it gets noted and mentioned because
18:20 every bag has a place in the world.
18:22 All right, so moving on to the most
18:24 durable of the protective cases, hard shell cases.
18:27 And funny enough, my first recommendation is Amazon Basics.
18:32 Yeah, they make a hard shell small case.
18:35 I purchased this to hold all the different adapters
18:38 that I have from Dio for like E-mount to PL, all the different PL mounts.
18:42 I just wanted something to like safely store them in.
18:44 And I was genuinely surprised at the quality.
18:46 For $30, you have a waterproof case,
18:49 you know, that can pretty much handle anything.
18:51 I don't know if a monster truck, maybe a monster truck would survive.
18:54 I didn't see that in their demos online,
18:56 but I feel very confident that my items are going to be safe inside of this.
18:59 And one of the things I actually noticed is that I own a Ronin 4D from DJI.
19:04 And look at what the gimbal case came in.
19:07 Doesn't that look oddly familiar to you?
19:11 We can do it.
19:13 There we go.
19:14 Don't those look very similar?
19:16 DJI even uses the Amazon Basics.
19:18 They just put their own name on it.
19:19 They put Zen Muse X9 AK gimbal camera instead of Amazon Basics.
19:23 But I'm pretty sure if I ripped that logo off,
19:25 it'd probably say Amazon Basics underneath.
19:27 if it looks like it's manufactured in the same factory as DJI,
19:30 Amazon Basics has my recommendation.
19:32 So, we're gonna naturally talk about an industry leader now, which is Pelican.
19:36 And I'm bringing them up because there
19:37 have been some updates to their classic 1535,
19:41 which is like a staple in the photography space in terms of like air travel.
19:45 This is like a hard shell case, but they've made it lighter now.
19:48 And I think that's a really important
19:50 thing because when you're traveling with camera gear,
19:52 every pound, every ounce counts,
19:53 especially since this qualifies as carry-on luggage and something that you
19:57 can store into like an upper compartment on an airplane.
20:00 But I also really appreciate there's a lot
20:01 more colorways coming out these days for Pelican.
20:04 And one of the things that I've been seeing a lot online,
20:06 which I think is super sick, and they're selling these now,
20:08 is you can swap out the colors of like
20:10 the clips as well as like the colors of the body.
20:12 And that means that you get a lot more of like a customizable look to you.
20:15 Because a lot of the times when you're on set with all black Pelican cases,
20:19 it's not that easy to differentiate the two unless you
20:21 put a bunch of stickers on the outside of them.
20:23 But these have become a staple in terms of like equipment that I rent out.
20:27 I have a kit for my Ronin 4D that I use where one of the kits stores the camera
20:31 and the other kit has the Trek pack
20:33 with a few of OEM Pelican like accessory storage compartments.
20:37 And this means that it's fully customizable.
20:39 I know that all my gear is safe on like
20:41 any production that it's going to go out on.
20:43 Literally, even if it's on a boat,
20:44 it's nice to know that the gear that you're out renting
20:46 or the gear that you're using is going to be fully protected.
20:50 And that's why Pelican is Pelican.
20:51 They're the industry leaders.
20:53 So, again, you have accessible options like the Amazon basic ones,
20:56 but also if you just want something that's tried,
20:58 true, tested, the Pelican 1535 is my go-to.
21:02 Highly recommend.
21:02 And I really appreciate a lot of the new colorways are out there,
21:05 like the sand almost like desert tan look,
21:07 which actually matches my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter,
21:10 which was designed for like adventure off-road lifestyle.
21:13 So again, I can throw these into the back of it.
21:15 I know my camera gear is safe, and then I can take it out and jump on a plane,
21:18 and I know that I can travel with it as well.
21:20 So again, cooler colorways, lighter options,
21:23 fully customizable inserts on the inside.
21:25 There's a reason why Pelican is the industry
21:28 standard when it comes to hard shell cases,
21:29 and that's because they're the most versatile and tried and true and tested.
21:33 So again, you can go with Amazon Basics.
21:35 It's an option that's there, but I think if I was to be like,
21:37 "Yeah, this is the rugged one," I'd probably lean towards Pelican.
21:41 And we're going to move on to our last category.
21:43 I only have one camera bag, which is like a top loading camera bag.
21:46 And this has a special place in my heart
21:48 because it serves a very unique purpose.
21:50 When I'm doing a commercial set and I'm traveling
21:53 from like location to location with a fully built out camera,
21:56 whether that's a Ronin 4D or maybe it's like an FX3 with like the wireless
22:01 follow focus and like a top handle and also has like a shoulder rig.
22:04 When that camera is fully built out, I don't want to tear it down.
22:07 I want to pick it out out of a bag and start shooting.
22:10 This is where this bag fits in.
22:11 You can fully customize the like insert to fit
22:14 that fully built out bag and then hold your director slate,
22:17 your audio and your microphones, your water bottle and all the little like
22:20 autramons that you need for a commercial set.
22:23 And so for me, this only fits that use case, but it definitely has value.
22:28 And I think because Shape is a Canadian brand,
22:30 they get the shout out on the channel cuz I love what they've built here.
22:33 And I think this is the only bag that doesn't have any
22:36 like critical feedback on it in terms of its place in my world.
22:40 It's one of those things where like I appreciate the little details.
22:42 They even include little flashlights where you can make
22:45 sure that even if it's dark wherever you're shooting,
22:47 which can be a common place in the cinematography world.
22:50 They have little like micro LEDs where you can press where you
22:53 can see what's inside of the bag just that come with it.
22:55 So, I appreciate those details.
22:57 Shape is a brand where there are working cinematographers working
23:00 for them and that actually shows in their design here.
23:02 So, guys, no feedback.
23:04 Even your price point's good.
23:06 And at $263, this is such good value.
23:10 And it even comes with a couple little side
23:12 bags where you can add them to your belt,
23:14 which become kind of like your AC pouch.
23:16 So, you're getting a few bags, you're getting great detail and presence,
23:19 and you're getting great, sturdy,
23:20 durable camera bag that's great for onset life.
23:23 So, I've said it a few times in other videos.
23:25 I still don't think the perfect camera bag exists.
23:28 Every bag serves a function.
23:29 And if I had to pick a winner from all of the bags that we
23:31 mentioned in this, I'd probably lean towards the PGY Tech One Mo Tactical bag.
23:36 In terms of price point, value, quality,
23:39 I think we're going to see a lot more from this brand moving forward.
23:42 And don't forget, we're doing that giveaway,
23:44 so drop a comment below, follow our newsletter,
23:46 and follow me on Instagram, and I'll be announcing the winner very shortly.
23:49 Thank you guys so much for watching this video.
23:51 And please, there's so many camera bags out in the world.
23:54 Please drop also in your comment section which bags I should
23:57 be considering for 2027 for like an end of year review.
24:00 I think I'd like to get my hands
24:02 on like some of like those like obscure rare bags.
