1:06 movie was especially odd because all the

1:08 other Christmas movies I've covered in

1:10 the past they've all been entirely

1:12 fictional stories at least I hope but

1:14 this one is based on a true love story

1:19 in their infinite quest to shove holiday

1:22 slop into the mouths of middle-aged

1:25 women all over the world released a

1:27 movie called Christmas in the spot light

1:30 a movie that follows a famous blonde pop

1:33 star who falls in love with a successful

1:35 NFL player sound familiar of course it

1:38 does lifetime took many aspects of the

1:41 real life relationship between pop star

1:43 Taylor Swift and football player Travis

1:46 Kelce and used it to craft their very

1:48 own original Christmas movie and I

1:50 thought it'd be fun to watch it make a

1:52 quick little video about it today

1:53 because shockingly this movie is not

1:56 good I should say off the top here uh I

1:57 wouldn't necessarily call myself a

1:59 Swifty I don't usually bump her music in

2:02 my free time but I'll admit she's got

2:03 some bangers I'm still a I'm so G I

2:06 actually tried getting uh tickets to one

2:08 of her sick shows here in Toronto but at

2:10 the last minute I decided instead to use

2:13 that ticket money to put a down payment

2:15 on a six-bedroom home those tickets are

2:17 expensive is what I'm saying also there

2:19 wasn't even general admission at the

2:20 concert and like I going to be in the

2:22 pit just wanted to say that off top

2:24 before we get into this video Swift EAS

2:27 also while I was scripting this video I

2:29 learned that Christmas in the spotlight

2:31 isn't the only Taylor Swift SL Travis

2:34 Kelce inspired Christmas movie that was

2:36 released this year there's another one

2:38 called Hallmark's holiday touchdown a

2:41 Chief's love story that one focuses more

2:43 on the the actual Chief's football team

2:46 but watching the first few seconds of

2:47 the trailer for that movie fully

2:49 confirms that we have successfully

2:51 transitioned into late stage capitalism

2:53 ladies and Gentlemen please turn your

2:55 attention to Midfield from Hallmark and

2:57 the NFL that might be the craziest collab of all

5:53 realized this is the Tik tocker who made

5:56 that ton deaf let them eat cake Tik Tok

5:58 at the Met Galla the meat cake and then

6:02 then she lost like hundreds of thousands

6:05 reduce someone to their very public

6:06 mistakes but that's where I know them

6:08 from and this just goes to show you man

6:18 supporting role in a made for TV

6:20 lifetime Christmas movie so Drew's niece is a a big bow and

6:28 Sykes themed part including a dance performance to one of

6:32 her [Music] songs if I was Taylor Swift I would take

6:38 full offense to this this song is ass

9:36 like a huge part of her character

10:42 film because their first date is on a

10:45 private jet bold move inviting a

10:47 self-proclaimed bomber onto a plane but

10:49 bomber each their own maybe the planes

10:51 were the inspiration for Bowen's name

10:53 right boen boing you know there's

10:55 something there and it's not the door of the plane

10:59 cuz that flew up and also what the[ __]

11:01 was the point of his Santa disguise he

11:03 was in a car with tinted windows and

11:04 then brought to a private airplane

11:06 hanger there's Bowen want people

11:08 thinking that she's[ __] Santa now

11:10 that would be a good PR move that would

11:12 be huge News man imagine if some like

11:13 Paparazzi pictures came out of like

11:15 Sabrina Carpenter and she she's like

11:17 making out with Santa back to the movie

11:20 they never actually fly anywhere on the

11:21 jet so that's not very realistic to the

11:24 real life Taylor Swift they just sort of

11:25 Chill on it they watch a movie they kiss

11:31 puzzles bring me joy I don't know I just

11:33 like I love how everything fits together

11:37 perfectly and creates this beautiful

11:39 picture yeah I mean that is pretty much

11:41 everything you can say about puzzles you

11:44 you just described what puzzles are why

11:46 do you love D Jenga so much I've just

11:48 always loved how there's a bunch of

11:50 blocks stacked on top of each other and

11:54 you have to pull one out one at a time

11:56 and make sure it doesn't fall over and I

11:59 don't know know it's hard to explain

12:01 on for a little bit longer and then they

12:03 drop the[ __] cliche romcom dialogue

12:13 ex-boyfriend Hudson shows up he's a big

12:16 Hollywood movie star so I'm assuming

12:19 Hudson is supposed to be the Jake

12:24 little later during their second date

12:26 Drew is cooking lasagna for them and

12:28 he's really struggling cheese has

12:30 reached golden crispy bubbles STS what

12:39 supposed to put gold in here I was going

12:41 to chip my tooth but then their date is

12:42 interrupted by Drew's teammates barging

12:44 into the house so Bowen has to run and

12:46 hide outside they hide this is when Drew

12:48 is starting to have some doubts about

12:50 this whole thing oh that was a close

12:52 call I don't know if I can keep this up

12:59 this Believe It or Not somehow Drew

13:01 finds it in himself to keep dating this

13:03 girl after the second dat and Bowen ends

13:05 up coming over for their family

13:07 Thanksgiving dinner you know you're good

13:12 something about mixing a bunch of

13:13 ingredients together and putting it in

13:14 the oven for a while I don't know it's

13:17 tough to explain also this tick tocker

13:19 was probably sweating on set before

13:21 filming this scene dude so in this scene

14:10 then they got trapped in a well for two

14:14 few hours to write the whole thing let's

14:16 freaking go so after a quick Montage of

14:18 the two of them doing coup stuff

14:19 together got to a scene in the locker

14:21 room with Drew and all of his teammates

14:23 are talking about how Bowen has brought

14:25 like so many new fans to the NFL what is

14:27 it down just like a chance like when a

14:30 boy is a jerk and lets you down but you

14:32 give him another chance girl only understand football

14:37 when explain it to them like dating boys

14:39 that's all they know what the[ __] man

14:41 ladies listen a field goal is like when

14:43 your boyfriend buys you flowers but a

14:46 two-point conversion is when your

14:48 boyfriend buys you flowers and the Manny

14:51 Petty this is what they think of

14:52 swifties man that's[ __] up that's[ __] she's bringing all these new fans

16:50 shockingly Drew and Bowen make up

16:52 immediately right after the gala and the

16:53 next day Drew gets a phone call from a

16:56 rival football team offering him a huge

16:59 expensive contract they offered me a

17:01 5-year contract at Double my salary oh

17:04 my God no more flying back and forth and

17:07 back and forth yeah I mean but you love

17:11 the bombers she loves that private jet

17:14 huh she was so happy until Drew

17:15 mentioned not having to fly back and

17:17 forth all the time oh my God this is

17:19 perfect you should take that contract I

17:21 think I will this is amazing you w have

17:23 to fly in your private jet every single

17:26 day tell them no so this proposed

17:28 contract fact is like one of the main

17:30 plot points going forward in this movie

17:31 he wants to go to the other team because

17:33 they'll pay him more and he'll be closer

17:35 to Bowen but his brother doesn't want

17:36 him to leave the team because they're

17:38 Brothers you're thinking about

17:39 abandoning your team Bowen doesn't want

17:40 him to move to LA because she's worried

17:42 that he's going to stop liking her what

17:43 if he moves here and he hates me and I'm

17:45 going to be honest it is really hard to

17:47 give a[ __] about any of this oh no your

17:50 millionaire NFL family won't live in the

17:52 same town anymore oh no

17:56 no however will you go on and okay if he

17:59 goes to LA and he stops liking you oh no

18:01 you guys have been dating for like a

18:02 week I also don't know why I'm getting

18:03 so mad I had zero expectations for this

18:05 film because it is a lifetime movie

18:07 based on a relationship that started

18:09 last year so Bowen is complaining about

18:11 all this to her manager and then she

18:12 drops another epic Taylor Swift

18:14 reference you know all too well that all

18:18 too well meanwhile Drew and his brother

18:20 yelled at each other about football all

18:22 I've done is support you you should be

18:23 happy for me when I was watching this

18:25 movie in my head every single minute I

18:27 was like can you guys be[ __] adults

18:28 for one second figure your[ __] out it's

18:30 fine take the contract or don't

18:33 Drew goes back inside after talking to

18:35 his mommy when something terrible

18:37 happens in a leaked conversation between

18:39 Bowen and her ex-boyfriend Bowen Sykes

18:42 admits that she was just using him as a

18:44 publicity stun I'm just pretending to be

18:47 in love with this big dumb jock so that

18:49 the football fans will buy my albums and

18:51 I'll get asked to play at the big game

18:53 yeah and again since Drew is a dumb

18:55 little man baby he immediately believes

18:57 it without talking to Bowen so now he's

18:59 super mad at her Drew won't even answer

19:00 my calls then go to him tell him the

19:03 truth he'll believe you what if he

19:05 doesn't oh my God then he doesn't I don't know like

19:09 Jesus[ __] Christ guys you know the[ __] plot of your movie is bad when

19:13 all of the conflict is what if this

19:15 happens well what if that happens though

19:16 like could you imagine the movie

19:18 Whiplash the movie Whiplash but

19:20 everything goes fine and the only

19:22 conflict was Andrew being like Oh my God

19:24 could you imagine if Fletcher was me

19:26 anyways Bowen tries to explain to Drew

19:28 uh that she was being sarcastic when she

19:31 was saying those things to Hudson the

19:32 way I feel about you is not a stunt true

19:34 but I assume the word sarcastic is

19:36 beyond his reading level so he breaks up

19:38 with it sometimes the pieces just don't

19:40 quite fit all right we're almost at the end

19:44 thank[ __] god the next day Rob's

19:46 wife comes downstairs and she's freaking

19:48 out about something that she saw on her

19:50 phone hey have you guys seen this and

19:51 it's not a bunch of backlash to an

19:53 insensitive Tik Tok she made it's

19:54 actually a news report saying that

19:56 Hudson's assistant came forward with the

19:59 full audio she was telling the truth she

20:01 was really telling the truth even though

20:03 I'm sure anyone with half a[ __]

20:04 brain stem could have figured that out

20:06 we then get one final Taylor Swift

20:08 reference when Drew's niece gives him a

20:11 friendship bracelet that reads even in

20:12 the darkest night I'm going to shine

20:14 shine shine sorry right so a bunch of

20:16 pointless[ __] happens at a

20:17 Christmas Galla why they got to be so

20:19 mean Owen sings a new song that she

20:21 wrote about Drew my love is a gift that

20:24 I'm giv to you she gives a big speech to

20:28 Drew to win him back I don't know what

20:30 the future holds but as long as I'm

20:32 holding on to you I promise I won't

20:39 promise of course she gives a full[ __] speech in the second she

21:06 movie ends with a nice family Christmas

21:18 Christmas in the spotlight in terms of

21:20 Christmas movies I've covered on this

21:21 channel definitely not the worst one but

21:23 it's clear that they threw this together

21:27 movie was not made for if I was a

21:28 middle-aged mother I would be foaming

21:30 out of every single one of my holes but
